Automation is comprised of three major game components - the Engine Designer, the Car Designer and the Company Manager. Wirtschaftssimulation mit eigenem Fahrzeugbaukasten. Von Karosserie über Fahrwerk bis zum Herzstück, dem Motor ist alles selbst kreierbar. Dazu großer Modsupport für alle möglichen Teile, die man sich nicht mal vorstellen kann. Alles ist möglich.
Wenn das Traumauto fertig gebaut ist, kann man es in BeamNG exportieren und sogar selbst fahren.

Es ist ein tolles und wirklich realistisches Spiel, was die Herausforderungen der Autoindustrie spiegelt.
Einfach ist es nicht, man muss ein Verständnis haben, was man macht und welche Auswirkungen es auf das Endprodukt hat.
Generelle Empfehlung, gehört zu BeamNG.drive einfach dazu.

For ppl who really love cars, the history, the creation process and survive in the industry, with passion and love. This is the Game. I really hope the creator polish more the game and increase the caipaing. I lost myself playing.

so one of my friends got me this game and from the start this game has been great. the visuals, sounds, easy to use in depth interface, and tutorial have been well thought out and with the addition of being able to export cars to beamNG.drive is a awesome addition which i can spend hours on making cars to mess around with.
i would definitely recommend this game to any car lovers and beamNG players who want to make cars without the scripting

If you enjoy building engines and making custom vehicles, this is the game for you. You can build basically anything ranging for the 40's to now, the game also has a good options for making custom engines too. Also the vehicles you make on here can be uploaded and tested on Beamng.

The game is very interesting within the realm of building cars and engines being able to choose a wide variety of body styles and engine layouts and a modicum of various suspension systems and build something close to your ideal vehicle.

(This review is strictly based on the Sandbox mode to focus solely on the car and engine designing features)
Pros:
- Sandbox and exporting being able to build and export vehicles from a wide array of styles
- Dyno and traction maps displaying the performance and handling of the cars
- Early warning pop-ups alerting users of engine, traction & handling faults
- High resolution graphics giving an appealing display

Cons:
- camera views are restricted, limiting the range that the player can pan around
- vehicle builds are limited and recreating vehicles based on Pre-ABS vintages are all but uncontrollable
- vehicle body styles cannot be altered to incorporate large displacement engines
- Horsepower control
- compression ratios can get unrealistically low for certain applications
- fuel choice is restricted to petrol, no race fuel, diesel, or hybrid-electrics.
- Induction is limited to turbochargers, no superchargers
- no dyno tuning for precise engine modification
- The auto lock feature glitches parts to kingdom come
- paint customization is woefully limited, bland, buggy, and inconsistent
- even with designing sports cars, the game is not friendly to high horsepower applications
- All truck options are single rear wheel non-dually

Conclusion:
The game is very interesting and can be fun however some of the aspects regarding the realistic features of designing a car and engine for a game based on creating and marketing a car get limited.

However: I understand that the building process being simplified allows a wider range of people being able to enjoy the game without turning it into a AutoCAD/Blender hybrid of a complex nightmare.

Some of the limitations do pose as a damper on people drying to build a JDM/Euro/American performance car.

Overall the game is clever and unique with respect to making a car builder that you can make however the game leaves much to be desired and yet has an untapped well of potential within its grasp.

Been playing this game for about 2 years now and the game is great, looks great the controls have been massively improved from when I began playing this game. The recent edition of ray tracing has also helped to bring more realism than ever to your creations. With the recent turbo beta turbos now don't all have 80s turbo lag. Its safe to say that I am excited to see what camshaft software has in-store for the future

This game is summarized in 6 stages
stage 1 : Putting the Mitsubishi A6M aircraft engine on an all-carbon chassis and the body of an all-carbon bulletproof car worth the price of the Titanic
stage 2 : mess up the engine setting For 45 minutes to not explode during the start and put a 2 massive jet engine as a turbocharger And hope it works
stage 3 : Design the car as if you were summoning a demon from the underworld
stage 4 : import the car in to the beamND.drive.Be proud of what you made.drive it at speed of light.crash the car so hard that you just see a ashes of the car
stage 5 : Close the game and thank God once again that you are not a car engineer
stage 6: Open the Automation and spend your another 2 hours of your life time to make another Eco-friendly war crime

I am a new player, but I can highly recommend this game. Whatever you want to make, you can. My only issues are small:
Some of the controls are less easy to use, but everything seems to work fine. I have a hard time panning the camera, and fixtures are hard to place at times. But like I said before, everything works great otherwise. Don't let my mess-ups keep you from playing.

Automation is a great designer game with plenty of opportunities in terms of cars, and with beamng you can even drive em' around and doing the dumbest garbage, and that's very fun. But I usually reviwe to recommend new things too. and for me, i feel the V16 dlc should be free, and they should add plenty of wackier engine types, like W-engines, which would be unlocked in 1990 and be hard to engineer, but very compound and comes in 6 and 12 cylinders, and maybe 18, in lines should have 1,2, 8, 10, and 12 cylinders to start, because while the latter are stupidly long engines, that kind of engine was very prestigous to people in the 1930's, and for the low cylinders, minicars were super popular in germany and they had miniscule engines. Also, boxers should have at least 8 cylinders bc they're just as compact as V-engines, along with a cheaper and easier to engineer flat eninge, which is less effiecient, less prestigous, but slightly more reliable. Those engines might not all make sence, but i feel they are worth considering

This game is my dream. I always used to draw car designs and bodies on paper to pass time in class. If you've ever done that or something similar, get this game NOW!!!

This game proves that as long as you're able to make mistakes and mess around, you can learn anything. You're building cars from almost nothing while considering so many different variables and design choices. Admittedly, its not close to real life, because that would be so limitless, but its so good that you start to forget that actual car designers cant just make a V10 engine from scratch in an hour. I've already reviewed beam, but the Automation + BeamNG cross support is something that puts this into a legendary tier that no game ever can really compete with. Its almost an new genre of game.

I really cant put into words how thankful I am that these games exist. Design and engineering is my life's passion but I've never had the resources possible to fully envision my dreams. This game lets you finally put that part of you to the test, and its so satisfying to finally be able to do it and realize it in the most accurate, diverse, and dynamic car simulator ever made. My praise goes out to the developers slowly working on this game (and beam!), bringing it new content and more possibilities almost every month.

I would happily buy this game for $120 if I could.

Most of the people play this game because engine building and exporting cars to the BeamNG.
There is couple of things i would change if it comes to the engine building.

- There is limitations on turbo sizes if the engine is too small. So i would like to take that limit off the game or at least get the limits higher.

- Also engine RPM limit should rise higher in my opinion.(if rotary or smaller engines) and it is possible if we are talking smaller stroked engines.

- I8 engine?

- It also would be nice to have superchargers to the game. Now it only have naturally aspirated and turbo engines. So that would be nice to have.

- If we talk about engine types, wankel(rotary) engines would be nice to add too.

-For the bonus if we talk about different car body types(i mean like F1 body or something) would be special. Its really limited if u try to look something like that on the workshop. Normal car bodies there is decent amount so that;s not so critical in my opinion.

To be honest developers should focus on the engine and car side of the game and not the campaign, because 95% of the players don;t play that. Sorry about my bad english :)

alone this game might not be as interesting but at least for me, you sjhould buy this and beamng together, or if you already own beamng and want to buy this then i suggest it
cuz i mean making cars and not getting to drive them feels unfinished in a way
with beamng you can export it onto there and you can actually drive them (and blow them up of course which is always good)
while the exported cars arent as detailed as cars directly made for the game or by the devs theyre still fun to drive, except if you completely ignore every notice the game gives you
anyways its cool

good for making cars in beamNG, but the campaign is woefully flawed. Everything needs to be streamlined, and there needs to be about 1/3rd of the pages and windows there currently are to do something as simple as make an engine variant that has a turbo. The factory menus and such also need to be reworked as they are a major pain in the ass.

Don't buy it!! Wait for it to go on sale...for like 99 cents then maybe consider. No joke I would not recommend until they complete the game. This game has been in the works for 6 years!!!

What I don't like

1. It is not at all a tycoon game, not yet at least. Most of the tycoon features aren't even available if any.
2. You have to buy another game to drive your cars.
3. They never update and when they do it's something small.
4. They are charging $29.99 for an incomplete game.
5. They have DLC packs for sale but don't even have a partially finished product.

Finish the game already! I was watching this game for years and finally gave in. I totally regret the decision to purchase this game. I was expecting a car company tycoon game not a car designer exporter!

This game is great for those who are little more than the casual car enthusiast. You can spend a shocking amount of time on creating a single car. The worst part about it is the slow development time for playable updates. The campaign portion is really not where the fun is for this title. The individual missions where you have to complete stat objectives for engine and vehicle designs are very fun. Creating engines and cars is the best feature and is the sole reason anyone I know bought this game.

I've played over 1,000 hours. I think you all can deduct from that alone, that I immensely enjoy this game. I've been playing since late 2015, and the game sure has changed a lot since then.

The tycoon portion is not fully fledged yet, but the coming updates are sure to fix some of the gripes people have had with it over the past year or two.

The sandbox mode is exquisite, it's my favorite aspect of this game. The ability to build anything, from a crazy, mid-engined V16 hypercar to an econo-box, devoid of any style or soul.

The coming updates are very promising, with complete reworks of multiple game mechanics. Now, of course, I never buy a product or software based on promised updates/revisions. With that being said, even in its current state, this game is a masterpiece.

This game is great, I really love how you can turn off magnet placement when putting on fixtures. The only two things I would like to be added to the game are W engines and F1 hybrid engines. Apart from those, this is my favourite car manufacturing game

I would consider this to be an educational and fun game. I am a high performance engine builder and I probably enjoyed building and testing the engines the most. I would like it even better if the realism, engine dynamics and tuning were enhanced further. For example the turbocharger performance is not nearly as good as what is available in real life and the engine component strength is lacking. I would like to see the addition of fuels like e85 methanol and diesel. I think you should collaborate with someone who builds and tunes engines to dial in the performance characteristics of modified engines better. How about collaborating with an aftermarket ecu manufacturer to make a realistic tuning simulation. With games like this the greater the realism and the deeper you can dive into it the more fun it is.

A great game for every car Lover!
Once you start playing and have figured out how to properly build and design your car, it can leave you playing this game for hours, trying to get that one car to drive perfect, lots of fun for everyone, because you can design your car pretty much however you like, you can even go extreme and create something hillarous for a laugh with your friends.
If you then decide that you would like to play the game and buy it, I cannot recomend you enough that you buy BeamNg.drive with it, its the perfect addon for the game, so you can even try out the cars youve build yourself, aswell as installing lots of mods from the steam workshop.

I can't get past the Model Body page in the designer. Apparently, that requires administrator rights and Antivirus whitelisting, in other words create a gaping security hole in your system in order to play this game. Not worth it. Fix the game and I'll reconsider.

I'm not gonna be able to add anything very valuable, but as a player since well into the Kee era (5 to 7 years ago at this point) I can confirm what some recent poor reviews have been saying.

I've poured a lot of time and effort into learning and relearning the game and tolerating the constant bugs and crashes to make some of my automotive design dreams come true, even becoming somewhat of a veteran and brand advocate for this game, but at this point with the community and the attitude from some of the devs - which, mind you, is a very deep and not at all new issue - I can't recommend it anymore. I'm fed up. I'm really sorry to have to say it like this, but when there's consistent, meaningful progress being made, I might come back. I've met a lot of great people and had a lot of fun, because there is so much good about this game. Nothing else does what it does, and that's why it's so hard to finally let it go.

Everything about this game is great. The mechanics, the bodies, the engines, the different options, all outstanding. There is one problem though, and that is beam.ng. I got this because I wanted to make cars with the awesome tools here, and then export my new made car to beam.ng. The only problem with this is that it absolutely ruins the crash mechanics in beam.ng. It is very unrealistic, the car literally warps and spikes, the body is near indestructible, and things won't break away. Along with this, the spikes go through the car, they get stuck on everything, sometimes the spikes get really, really long and thin, and last but not least, the engine can just fall through the car when crashed , along with the driveshaft and suspension. I think everybody in the Automation community who exports their cars into beam.ng would agree with me. Other than that, this game is amazing, only 1 bug so far that was fixed quickly, so I really recommend this game, if you want to play the tycoon part, or just to export your cars and drive them around, but I would not be reliant on these cars if you want a realistic crash.

i grabbed beamng the instant the beta came out in 2013 and grabbed automation as soon as i saw it in 2014. whenever i played automation i always wished i could port my cars to beamng every time i played it.
then the beamng automation update came out and all my prayers were FUCKING ANSWERED!
this and beamng is literally all i play now as every other game has been ruined for me.
insane for anyone who wants to mess with the ultimate duo of real automotive sandbox games.

This is probably the most accurate car building simulator/game I have ever played.
I have played this game for about 5 years.
It is complicated and not for the faint of heart, but it is extremely fun if you like cars.
With sandbox you can design your very own car and engine from 1946-2020.

TL;DR | This game is incredible.
I got this game two years ago around Christmas time, and I decided that since it has been basically two years and I just reached 1000 hours today, that I would write a review. I remember when I first started I struggled to make cars look decent and get strong performance numbers, but now that I have been playing for a decent time, I thoroughly enjoy this game.
Pros;
- So many possibilities for design, whether exterior, interior, or drive-train
- Comprehensive UI layout
- Very pretty graphics
- Realistic engine, chassis, drivetrain, etc. creation
- The developers are on top of the issues
Cons;
- Open Beta has quite a few issues, but like I said, the devs are quick to fix
- $29.99 is a bit much, but the game is totally worth it once you start figuring things out

This game is a very awesome game if you have BeamNG.Drive installed. The way you are able to use your imagination and create almost anything you want is crazy. However, I haven't played without exporting my vehicle to BeamNG. The campaign and stuff, I can't say anything about because I haven't really used it.

the beauty of this game is that you can design everything you could possibly wish for. It's fun for people who know a lot about cars already and for people who want to learn about it.
you can make it as easy or as hard as you like.
I'm currently in college for this stuff and as a student I must say that the game is very realistic when it comes to engineering and numbers

as i see now i played this game for 69 hours (nice) and i quite enjoy it, there is a lot of creativity that can go into creating all sorts of engines and designs etc... i'd recommend it for people who just know the basics of an engine and want to learn more, it's intuitive and easy to use, if you're not a newbie of engines it is still quite a lot detailed in the smallest of the things, and with the new update it will be getting even better so stick around to see what's next to this masterpiece, cheers to everyone and have a great ride with your new car you've just created, which can be driven in Beam.NG, another very detailed game.

Automation is a fantastic game! It has a 'career mode' for people who like to work through the game, but I just like to go to the sandbox and create my own car without any restrictions. Sometimes, I will make a small city car, other times a super-car... There are many car body's to choose from and many options for engines and fittings.
This game may seem complicated at first, but it will soon become easy - it will probably help if you watch the in-game tutorial and other tutorials on YouTube.
It is quite expensive, but I think it is worth the price due to the multiple possibilities of this game.

man i can spend hours on this game. It has it's flaws, yes, but just tinkering, having some fun, and trying to push engines as hard as they can is some of the most fun, sandbox type car game i've played since Beam.NG. And you can port the cars you build to BeamNG itself which means you can do loads of testing. Now, the bodies can be glitchy sometimes, there's no interior to the cars, and sometimes it crashes, but hey, at least it's lots of fun. Overall, i'd give it an 8/10 because i WOULD like to mess with interiors, and i WOULD like to have more body molding options. Good game, would recommend.

not worth the money I've had this game for a 3 years. nothing has changed at all it seems. same bugs same crappy car making system vary little in what stats anything means. really I have not seen this game as worth it every. just an add on to BeamNG. also i will not forget that the game would not start up for so long (1 year). don't buy this at all it's not worth the $30 or the $20 in DLC. Credits to the devs on making a game with such a unique concept, some have tried but not to this detail. This game is fantastic for people who enjoy cars but, wish they knew more in detail, specifically about engines and exterior design. You can spend hundreds of hours building motors, pick from 3-16 cylinders, from V to Inline to Boxer, it has most options. ( this game is also twice as good if you have BEAM-NG to export the cars to so you can drive them ). You can run turbos, or NA for most engines. HOWEVER

The dev team is on the small side, so updates are slow, We dont have Diesel engines, cant adjust how many turbos, limitied on turbo sizes, no superchargers, no nitrous, and limited tire options.

As someone thats into competitive drag racing, I do love using this game to make cars to export to Beam.... BUT I wish there where more options for motors, adjustable power adders, more tire options for proper drag radials, possibly some day add the ability to Tub the rear, possibly alter the chassis geomtery by hand / cad editor... but I know thats difficult and not something everyone would want.

So here is WHY I love this game, because I see potential, I see what this game CAN be down the road... already its a great game, fantastic buy if its on sale.

My one gripe with the game, I had to pay extra for the V16 engine.... after I backed this game years ago.... as soon as it was on steam..... but, its whatever

As much as i'd like to give this a good rating i can't. Progress has been slow. I know they've changed development engines but as it stands now the game is a glorified Beam.NG add on. Without Beam this game would be nothing at all. Campaign is a dreadful mess, confusing, non-intuitive. Doesn't seem to matter how you make your cars, they never sell well. This game started out with so much potential but it seems the devs just gave up? Again i iterate, without the ability to transfer your car design to Beam.NG, this game would be nothing at all. Definitely wait until this game is out of early access at least before you buy it. not worth the 35 bucks at all.

At first I pirated this game (wich is really uncool) to try it out, create some weird cars and be done with it couse I tought, how fun can it really be and it is gonna get boring real quick. Instead I fell in love with it and bought it immediently to support the creators for creating this beautiful game. it is just amazing, tweaking the engine to get maximum power out of a sertain cc limit i have set myself and tuning the suspension and aero dynamics to get the best cornering possible.

also creators, if you are reading this, i really love creating vry high rev motors and have a small request of higher max rev limit, that 12k rpm is often not enough. Also, thank you very much for creating such a awesome game.

As someone with a degree in mechanical engineering who's dream job is to design cars, this game is a dream come true. The ability to export cars to Beamng and drive them is the icing on the cake. Initially that is what I did with every car I made, but after a while I just came to enjoy creating cars within automation for fun, exporting those I felt were unique or fill a void I felt was in beamng's lineup.

So yeah, while the design tools are excellent, the actual campaign of the game is actually pretty obtuse. When they say they recommend you only play it after watching the tutorials, they aren't kidding. Despite a few hundred hours playing, I have barely touched the campaign and for good reason. The time I did try it I had no idea what I was doing and my company just continuously lost money despite my best efforts.

Updates are slow to roll out, although that's because the dev team consists of about 5 people and a game like this is pretty ambitious for a team of that size. Also, the game has updated game engines about 3 times since release (kee, UE 4.17, UE 4.21, UE 4.24) which is really annoying because all previous mods stop working. Thankfully this game has a pretty good modding community, so a lot of mods made since the switch to UE 4 have been updated, although there's still quite a few that haven't been. The upside of all the engine changes is the game has become much more optimized over the years, looking much better, running smoother, and loading faster. Heck, before the switch from UE 4.21 to 4.24, the game would take 5-10 minutes to load at launch. Now it only takes a minute tops, and that's with a few hundred mods installed.

With all that being said, if you're like me and love designing cars this game is definitely for you. There's plenty of mods to play around with as well if you feel you don't have enough tools at your disposal. It also doubles as an excellent vehicle creator for beamng if you have that as well. If you're looking for a tycoon game where you manage your own car company, I would probably hold off, because as of now, the tycoon campaign is a confusing mess of menus and spreadsheets.

This game is addicting as hell, and a lot of fun playing. I'd recommend it heavily if it weren't for the fact that 88 hours of custom designs I poured my time into weren't just deleted. The game updated itself today, and now everything's gone. I'll remove this review if there's a solution to this problem, but I want to give a warning to everyone who's playing this, or considering it

So far, all I've done is screw around in the sand box, building monstrous engines with huge turbos that blow up and I am loving it. This game absolutely rocks, although to be fair, it's a little tough to understand. The intricacy of the engine building is insane. My cousins are both mechanics and were blown away at how comprehensive it is.

Get this game.

This game is so much fun. You could never get bored with sandbox mode, you could try to replicate cars you like in other games or real life, and you could even drive them in BeamNG. Also you could create your dream supercar and also drive it, I damn love it. Its still in beta progress, turbo needs to be updated cuz the current is too old, but everything would happen cuz this is still beta. I believe the game will get even much better when stable released.

Great game that still needs work

Pros:
Create your own vehicle from the ground up
Use your created car in BeamNG drive
Actively being worked on
Very informative graphs/charts

Cons:
Unable to see interiors of vehicles you create (including after the vehicle is exported into BeamNG drive)
STEEP learning curve if you don't know cars (engines, transmission, susepension, etc)
Unable to test until it is exported into BeamNg drive
Need to buy another game just to test your creation

I absolutely LOVE this game!
I just wish there was more content on the engine design...
- Add the ability to change the height of the piston ring lands.
- Add the thickness of piston rings etc etc...
- Add Nitrous Oxide to the mix
- Add Superchargers!!!
- Add the ability to change the materialistic structure of the air intakes, tube size etc etc...
- Add the ability to change air filtration devices like cone filter, paper filters, mesh filters and even no filters at all.
- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add diesel fuel and a higher compression ranges so we can all build diesel engines!!! :)
- Add the ability to change fuel injector nozzle sizes and carburetor customization.
- Add the ability to adjust main bearing and connecting rod bearing clearances.
- Because of the oil clearances add different oils :)
- Add the ability to adjust rocker arm ratio
- Add the ability to adjust the cams lobe size, lobe duration and lobe separation angle. (There should be a whole tab just for the cam specifications!)
- Add Rotary engines
- Add W engines
- Add the ability to adjust radiator size and thicknesses to achieve the proper cooling specification.

One of the best simulators I've played. Tons of depth between playing with the exterior and engine components. Exporting to Beam N.G. is extremely satisfying and opens up the potential even further. Even more depth in the campaign, though it's extremely dense and I can see a lot of people being turned off - just mess with the sandbox!

Love the game it is lots of fun to play. The story mode is a little difficult to understand at first but maybe i should've watched the tutorial to be fair though.

I would have liked to see more fixture options and more body moulding abilities

Still haven't managed to succeed with the campaign, but you stay for the sandbox and with it can create some truly amazing, or amazingly ridiculous vehicles that you can then export to Beam N.G to drive your creation (or abomination) around, worth every penny!

This is a very fun sandbox game for making cars as you want them (within the games bounds, of course). Though it has many different features, I have a few requests for additions to the game:
Rotary Engines - 2 to 4 Rotor engines, single, dual and triple turbochargers
V4 - Like in the Saab Sonnet
Inline 2 - Like in some trims of the mid 2000's Fiat 500
Superchargers
Quad Turbos - On V8's V12's and V16's
More extreme body morphing - For them T H I C C arches
Ducktail Spoilers that actually work on the back of cars (not just flat trim)
Rover SD1 Body
9/10 Would Play Again (even though it has no story)

I love the amount of variation and diversity in this game. the different setups for engines, car design, tuning, etc. I have learned a lot about how engines work by playing this game, what does what. I am also a fan of the fact that you can export cars to BeamNG.Drive, so I can test the creations I have made. There is a definite learning curve, and it makes this game very interesting. Definitely recommend!

So i've played this game since a very early version on the 'Kee' game engine back around 2011~2012 (long before it came to steam). The game has grown a lot over the past decade and the small development team keeps improving it on a steady basis.
I only rarely review a game and I will be very honest about my feelings on this one and go a bit into detail since I feel this game needs this kind of review.

Target audience:
This game has a very specific target audience. I wouldn't recommend this game to casual gamers. According to me, the primary target audience could be described as 'persons who enjoy getting into the technical aspects of designing consumer cars and their combustion engines'. The secondary target audience is 'persons who enjoy running a car company and try to be a succesfull tycoon selling their own car designs'.
Now you may wonder; why is this, according to me, not the primary target audience since it is labeled as a 'tycoon game'?
Well in order to enjoy being a tycoon in this game, you first have to design the cars that you are trying to sell. Therefore, you should find joy in this design process itself in order to enjoy being the tycoon.

Now that you have an indication if you are part of this target audience, I will discuss some of the positive and negative aspects of the game, keeping in mind that it is still in early access. Also mind that these bullets are not placed in any particular order.

Positive points:
- Lots of different engine configurations (i3, i4, i5, i6, V6, V8, v10, v12, v16 DLC, b4, b6 and different kinds of crankshaft and V angle configurations).
- Turbo/NA engine intake configurations (Superchargers are planned to be added)
- A timeline from 1945 to 2020 which has impact on the engines/car parts available and the performance of parts.
- Creative players can really indulge themselves in the extended car designer. There are many different car bodies to choose from, which can be morphed to certain limits and be fully customized to your likings with lots of different car fixtures like headlights, grills, vents, wheels etc. After completion, the car can be photographed in a nicely worked out photo mode with lots of effects.
- A really extensive car market with lots of different car categories to focus your designs and sales on.
- An implemented AI that automatically generates cars/engines for certain markets that serve as competition for your own company.
- An ingame exporter that allows you to export your car designs to other games (for now only BeamNG drive) so that you are able to drive your own designs.
- The dev team does an amazing job keeping in contact with players and trying to fix problems as soon as possible. They are also very kind, and so far have always came up with a solution to a bug or problem I had.
- Steam workshop support. This means that people create lots of extra car bodies, fixtures and photo environments.
- The ingame calculations seem to be very accurate to reality. When recreating real life cars, you will quickly realise that the ingame car with it's specs has very similar performance to it's real life counterpart.
- Car/engine design scenario's; you are asked to design a certain car or engine according to certain requirements and limits. The better you perform, the higher you score.

There certainly are much more positive points, but I think that this covers the most important ones for now.
There are however also some negative points to mention.

Negative points:
- The game is not very easy to learn. If you know a bit about the workings of a car and combustion engine you might find it easier to get into, but for new guys it has a quite steep learning curve. There are ingame tutorials and tooltips, but in the beginning it will take some hours to understand how everything works.
- The campaign user interface is very overwhelming, I still have some trouble figuring out how everything in the campaign works and definitely takes some of the fun away of the tycoon campaign. The UI is however fine for the car and engine designers. The latest version definitely improved the campaign UI a bit.
- Slow development of the game; The dev team is relatively small, this means that in about 8 years time the game has developed from an engine designer to a car and engine designer, and finally into a car company tycoon game. However, it still feels far from finished and I wonder how much longer it will take before the game finally reaches a 1.0 state (we are already in the final year of the ingame timeline, which was still very far away when development started). Another thing to mention is that electric motors were very uncommon back when development of this game started. Now that almost every car manufacturer offers at least one electric car, I feel that this is something that has really outgrown the development of the game for now.
- The game sometimes still crashes. Often these crashes are patched, but new crashes are nevertheless sometimes still occuring.

Conclusion:
I would definitely recommend this game to any person who enjoys cars, engineering and simulation, even more so when you also like playing tycoon games. Learning how to design the cars and engines definitely makes the game worthwile, especially when combined with BeamNG drive. Look at my playtime so far, if you would also count the hours before steam was added it would probably go over 1300 hours, this means that the game is in a really enjoyable state right now, at least for some people. Mind that almost all my playtime consists of designing and almost no campaign playtime. Therefore enjoying tycoon games is not a crucial requirement to like this game.
I however sometimes worry about development time and hope that the devs can keep up the positive attitude they've always had so far.

I'm very picky when it comes to buying new games, i want a game that i will play for hundreds of hours and not just for a day or two. There's a small learning curve if you know a good amount of stuff about cars and a somewhat larger learning curve if you don't know that much about cars, but after that you can really do whatever you want and i love it.

(also beam ng drive is basically required to have fun with this game currently since the campaign is such an early version)
10/10 Game, very hyped for the upcoming updates. (plz i need supercharger)
