Die Spielereignisse finden im Jahr 2096 statt, während der "zweiten Aggression" in der die meisten Clans vernichtet wurden. Aus unbekannten Gründen kommen alle Lords in einer Explosion um. Rodan - ist der Letzte der Lords, der auf wundersame Weise überlebt hat. Er möchte die wirkliche Ursache des Todes seines Vaters herausfinden. Er weiß noch nicht, dass er nur eine Marionette in einem großen Spiel ist, in dem die Moral nur eine Ware und ein Menschenleben nichts wert ist. Es gilt die Geschichte Rodans und die damit verbundenen Geheimnisse zu lüften.

Collapse ein Third Person Shooter mit Hack & Slash Kombi, was erst nice anhört, ist es jedoch richtig schlecht gemacht. Collapse erschien in Jahre 2008 die Grafik könnte aus 2006 sein. Die Story habe ich nix verstanden, da es in Russische Sprache gesprochen wird und kleine Englischen Untertitel schwer zu lesen sind :D

Ab denn 3. Mission habe ich das Spiel abgebrochen da mein Begleiter nur noch am Verrecken war -.-* Gameplay war määh, und Nahkampf war nix kein Treffer Feedback oder sonstiges.

Fazit: Mein Geduld habe ich lang behalten können wie es nur ging leider machte das Game nach den Prolog schon kein Spaß mehr. Für 2€ im Sale kein Ding, aber trotzdem NEE DANKE!

- russische Sprachausgabe mit kleinen englischen Untertiteln
- Bewegungen und Schießen fühlt sich etwas komisch an
- Game ist von 2008 und leider fühlt es sich auch so an und sieht auch so aus
- Waffensound eher durchschnittlich bis schlecht
- nicht den Steampreis wert (unter 5 €)
- Atmosphäre eher gering
- kein Waffenwechseln mit dem Mausrad möglich (nur Taste 1,2,3)

+ Schießen und Schwertkampf möglich
+ guter Soundtrack

Das Game fühlt sich ein bisschen wie S.T.A.L.K.E.R an, nur schlechter.
Irgendwie wollte kein Gefühl für die Spielwelt aufkommen, da das Schießen auch nicht das beste ist. Und durch die fast zu kleinen englischen Untertiteln, kam erst recht kein Gefühl für die Story rüber. Ich bin sicherlich wieder zu verwöhnt und ein Game von 2008 hat keine Chance mehr...

This is the most relevant game right now.
War torn Ukraine: Check
Dangerous biolabs: Check
Power-hungry politicians: Check
On a serious note, it's a very decent action shooter/slasher. The enemy designs are cool, the battle animation dynamic and the music is pumpin'! NewTone really did a great job on that. I wish the standalone DLC Rage was released too.

Extremely dank Ukrainian hack'n'slash with a lot of interesting ideas. The difficulty is very high and kinda cheap. You might want to play this one on Easy for your first playthrough.

Story sucks. Trash gun mechanics but enjoyable hack and slash. Graphics are pretty good for 2008. Gameplay is good but could have been way better. Overall not a bad experience

What kind of broken bullsh*t is this? Game crashed three times on the first level. Gameplay is horrible. There is no varied gunplay in this mess of a game. Every gun feels the same while shooting. There is also melee combat but as you can guess it is terrible too. There is no feedback whether you are hitting the enemy or not. AI constantly glitches through objects and stares at walls while I'm shooting. AI is braindead just like the people who made this game. I have seen better character models on PS2 games, this is just garbage! Game even have the audacity to telling you a story. First make a playable game you worthless chimpanzees. I'd rather shove a huge cactus up my a** while blowing a velociraptor. I'd rather eat the a**hole of King Kong while Godzilla penetrates me. This game is broken beyond belief. Same worm boss repeated throughout the whole game. Same 3 music repeated throughout the whole game. I continued playing it just to see how shitty it can become. With every level it got worse.

Ive only just started out in this game, but it already has me hooked. Its an interesting mash up of 3rd and second person view action . Theres a nice mix of gunplay and melee combat that has a lot of opportunities for interesting takedowns. Its a surprisingly interesting title worth a punt at the current price. do yourself a favour and get into this nice little gem.

When you are trying to figure out which way to go and when you find it, enemies spawn like a camscare. Blocking is awful but other combat style is pretty good.

Don´t bother with it, it sucks. The shooting mechanic is AWEFUL! Almost no feedback, enemies proceed to shoot you while being hit themselves, absurdly unprecise and the enemies are absolute bulletsponges. And don´t even get me started on the close combat gameplay.
It´s just bad, even for 2008. At this point you already had other third person shooters like Gears of War or GTA 4.
And if all that isn´t bad enough, the game started crashing multiple times after two hours.
So if anyone reads this, take my warning to heart and don´t buy it. Not even in a sale (thats what I did).

Interesting Eurojank with great style, though unfortunately I think they put more time into simulating Dreadlocks than making the combat satisfying.

This game didn't age well. The biggest fault is the camera for the first time ever playing any game made me sick. Visuals are good, gameplay is solid and the writing is decent (surprising for the kind of game this is) everything is good to average except that god awful camera because of that it's a no from me.

Collapse is a mixed bag of a game, it has some good stuff in it but it’s bogged down by the bad. But its story time.

In 2013 the people of Central Europe Ukraine, Kiev witnessed a catastrophic event were after a flash of strange light, a dimensional portal called the hole opened up and all kinds of monsters came through.

That was years ago. Now in 2096 Ukraine, Kiev is now known as the dump, a place without law were only bandit clans led by so-called Lords rule the land, and one of the most powerful lords, the Iron lord has died as well as the old lords.

Now the land is in chaos, but one man Rodan the right hand of the old Iron lord has come to save the people.

Alrighty then it’s time for the likes. The Post-apocalyptic background/Levels were cool looking and some parts looked pretty scary and messed up like the lab level.

The enemies looked good, but the best looking and scary enemies were the monsters especially the second monster we see.

The combat with the guns was good and the guns were fun to use, and the four powers we can get were good and very helpful to use. And in the game’s menu there is an option were you can read dialog that were in previous cutscenes in the game, that was good and helpful.

The music was good and the story was good too. But the best in the game were the notes you could get, they really helped the story and it’s world.

Alrighty then it’s time for the dislikes. And to start some parts of the game can be a slog to play like the first level/chapter.

Now in the game there is melee as well as gun play, but the melee sucks it can feel like it’s not even hurting the enemy sometimes and the blocking does not work all that well especially when there are like five enemies attacking you all at once.

Plus the melee enemies can be way over powered and if you’re not careful you will die very quickly.

Then in the later half of the game there is some platforming which really sucked. And the game has subtitles, but these are really small to read.

[spoiler] I hate that the main villain Zinovsky was killed in a cutscene and not even by us, I mean from the notes and cutscenes Zinovsky was an evil man and I thought we were going to fight and kill him only for another guy to do that and in a cutscene, it just sucked. [/spoiler] And lastly the fight with the final boss sucked.

So with that said Collapse is a mixed bag of a game and I have to give it a thumbs down, some people may like this game. But I don’t, I may still get Collapse two if it comes to steam.

Collapse is a 3D person action game that looks promising at first, but quickly descends into boredom and frustration.
Even on the easiest difficulty certain enemies take forever to be killed, which doesn't help when there are at least 2 subsets of enemies; those weak to firearms and those weak to the sword.
Use the wrong type of weapon against one of the subsets and it'll take a while before they die, and let me tell you, it takes a bunch of ammo sometimes to take down certain enemies weak to firearms.
To make matter worse, stages are pretty lengthy and may have you teamed with a companion who you need to make sure doesn't die. They can help in battle thankfully, but you still need to be careful with them to not get a game over and continue from a check point.

AND IF THAT'S NOT BAD ENOUGH, the game has QTEs. If you found them trite from games of the 2000s and early 2010s, they're just as trite in this game as well, which becomes annoying when they are mandatory to finish off an enemy or boss.

I can't comment on if this game was worthwhile back when it released, it might be worth trying out as a curiosity (like I did), but you'd be better off playing other European developed action games or shooters.
If you are still curious about experiencing this game for yourself....well just steel your temperament as you trudge through the game.

One last thing I will say about this game: Never give a white man rasta hair in a post apocalyptic Easter European setting.

Very dated gameplay, but probably about right for its era. Defeat waves of enemies that spawn out of nowhere to move forward. Melee is hold a direction and spam left click, but the blocking system is so basic that you get whooped by large groups of melee enemies unless you resort to your pistol with regenerating ammo. This results in you jumping around the area until it reloads, dumping the mag into someone, and repeating. Enemies are very derivative of Half Life. Story is very B Movie. Couldn't stick with it for much more than an hour

Surprisingly the most satisfying purchase I've made during the current 2014 Steam summer sale.

Collapse is the best third-person hack'n'slash/shoot-em-up I've played in a long time. Set in post-apocalyptic Ukraine, the game is reminiscent of Resident Evil, with historic Japanese undertones & an art-style similar to that of 80s-90s anime. It is by no means a perfect game, but features some stunningly beautiful environments, fantastic sound design & a suitably energy-packed electro-industrial soundtrack.
