Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces ist die neue, eigenständige Mehrspielererweiterung der erfolgreichen Echtzeit-Strategiespielserie und versetzt Spieler wieder in packende Schlachten des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Sie ist der perfekte Einstieg in die Community von Company of Heroes 2. Spielen Sie als die unbesiegbaren Briten mit ihren zusammengewürfelten Truppen! Diese Streitkraft war berühmt für ihre Diversität: Engländer, Schotten, Waliser und Iren aus allen gesellschaftlichen Schichten, von Arbeitern bis hin zu Adligen aus dem ganzen Vereinigten Königreich, kämpften Seite an Seite. Unter der Führung des charismatischen Sir Winston Churchill legten diese Soldaten ihre Unterschiede beiseite und bildeten so die letzte westeuropäische Streitkraft, die den Achsenmächten die Stirn bot und schließlich gemeinsam mit den anderen Alliierten die letzte Offensive anführte.

Einsteiger erhalten darüber hinaus über Ranglistenspiele Zugriff auf sämtliche bereits veröffentlichte Karten von Company of Heroes 2 und können zudem gegen alle existierenden Fraktionen antreten. Die Britische Armee gibt den Spielern zahlreiche neue charakteristische taktische Spieloptionen und Ausrüstungsgegenstände an die Hand: neue Infanterie, Teamwaffen, Fahrzeuge, Verbesserungen, Kommandanten mit einzigartigen Fähigkeiten sowie acht neue Mehrspielerkarten historischer Schlachten. Die Schlachten bieten dank der Einbindung von Motion-Capture-Daten für die häufigsten Animationssätze eine bislang unübertroffene Authentizität, wodurch auch sämtliche zuvor veröffentlichten Company of Heroes-Armeen erweitert werden. Mit dieser neuen Fraktion werden neue Spielmechaniken und 15 historische Einheiten eingeführt - vom Churchill Crocodile-Flammenwerferpanzer bis hin zum RAF-Segler. Dank neuer Kommandantenfähigkeiten können Sie ferner beeindruckende Manöver ausführen und die Stärken Ihrer Luft- und Artillerieeinheiten ausschöpfen.

ARMEE MIT CHARAKTER
Sorgfältig ausgewählte Stimmendarsteller hauchen den Einheiten aus den verschiedensten Schichten und Regionen des Vereinigten Königreichs Leben ein. Die Sprachtexte berücksichtigen in besonderem Maß die regionalen Unterschiede und Rivalitäten unter den Soldaten aus den diversen Regionen.

OPTIMIERTE MOTION-CAPTURE-ANIMATIONEN

Eigentlich nicht nötig, da man sich eine Workshop-Karte runterladen kann und dort die Truppen ausprobiert.
Ans sich ist der die das DLC nicht schlecht, allerdings kriegt man es quasi kostenlos durch bisher erlaubtes Bugusing...

Man muss es sich nur holen, wenn man Kampagnen-Missionen oder Online spielen will - Bei Custom-Games ist es unnötig.

Das DLC British forces gekauft, hat aber das Ardennen DLC laut Spielmenü installiert. Rückerstattung beantragt.

i cant play soviet campaign its say must purchase but when i want to purchase it said i already bought..by the way i buy COH2 - The British Force.. only can play skirmish and its getting boring

In PVP, this is shit, do not buy this if you intend on PvP, the starting game is almost good but it could be better, during middle games, you are going to get rekt in 1v1, you will literally get destroyed, probably the most unbalanced nation.

You have to buy this faction just like the USF and the OKW, but overall it is worth the money. a lot of people say the UKF is very weak and are just support but i think they are pretty powerful. In order to be good you have to be patient and learn about all of the units and figure out strategies, just like any other faction obviously

Emplacements : The Faction

Probably the most versatile faction in the game, idk if the best but definitely fun to play with, the defense game is strong with this faction.

⋆ The British are a little weak to be honest. True, they can set up emplacements which are powerful, but Axis players are not that dumb. If there was any Wehrmacht players, you'd be sure they'll whip out mortars and the emplacements become sitting ducks. ⋆ Brits shine when you play the game defensively, so you better hope you have a Soviet player on your side or else you're pretty much screwed. Because if you do decide to play offensively, the Brits does not have 1 heavy tank that can take on a German heavy. Not one... Hmm... You'll have to risk a few medium tanks to flank it. So at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is, you can keep the Axis at bay, but for how long exactly?

⋆ The Brits are a nice addition to the game as it breathes some fresh new air into this somewhat old game. But as it stands, when it comes to Allies, the Soviets are still more powerful and Brits as a faction is rather weak to be honest

The British Forces give the Allies a bit of the German defensive capacities. It has the problem of adding too many buildings to a game that is, in its core, dynamic and based on movement and aggressiveness instead instead of turtling. The British units are diverse and interesting, bringing much to the table.

The DLC lacks a proper campaign for the Brits, unfortunately, even though Caen, Goodwood, Arnhem and Walcheren could have been done in some interesting missions. But, for a game focused on multiplayer, the Tommies are obligatory in everybody's library.

Pay to win, no balance, you pay to win. The period. Almost felt bad for those 1v1 players that tried so hard to beat this faction though. This faction is unbeatable and easily winnable :)

+ New game mechanics (e.g. trenches and gun emplacements)
+ Iconic weapons and vehicles
+ All maps are free
+ (Compared to Company of Heroes): More British units

Cons:
- Gameplay concept didn't change much for the British, since the original Company of Heroes

CoH1 had some great sound design. CoH2 does not and compounding this the British voice actors swear constantly, it's like being surrounded by 14 year olds attempting to sound mature. Refund requested.

This DLC adds the British Forces (UKF) to the game. The British are enjoyable to play as, with unique commanders and defensive buildings. The dialogue is great and sometimes has a bit of humor. Catch this DLC on sale; it's well worth it!
