Brink, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory und Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Entwickler Splash Damage kündigte am 29.11.2012 ihren neuen Shooter Dirty Bomb an. Informationen gibt es bis jetzt noch recht wenig, aber nach eigener Aussage, wird Dirty Bomb wohl ein exklusiver PC Titel werden.

Dirty Bomb nimmt den Ego-Shooter in diesem tempogeladenen Mannschaftsspiel wieder zurück zu seinen Wurzeln und fordert sogar die besten Spieler heraus. Dieses Spiel wird dich nicht verschonen, sondern dich eher an deine Grenzen bringen. Ohne Controller-Unterstützung und Zielerfassungshilfe liegt es an deinem Können und deinen Reaktionsfähigkeiten oder es blüht dir der sichere Tod. Arbeite im Team oder stirb allein in dem herausforderndsten teambasierten FPS.

In der nahen Zukunft ist London nur noch ein verlassener und zerfallener Trümmerhaufen. Nach einer mysteriösen Katastrophe schritt die „Internationale Krisen und Katastrophen Agentur“ ein, um das Chaos zu beseitigen und die Stadt zu dekontaminieren. Doch sie scheiterte fürchterlich.

Nun sind die Straßen Londons der Tummelplatz von privaten Militärfirmen, die dafür kämpfen, den übriggebliebenen Reichtum der Stadt zu kontrollieren. Was ist schon ein wenig krankmachende Strahlung, wenn es Geld zu machen gibt?

Verabschiede dich von London und sag hallo zu der Welthauptstadt der Mercs.

DEINE MERCS, DEIN STIL - Wähle aus einer Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Söldnern deinen aus. Du brauchst schweres Geschütz? Dann ist Fragger, mit seiner großen Waffe und Granaten, die richtige Wahl für dich. Du bevorzugst einen kleinen, schnellen Plänkler? Schnapp dir Proxy und greife die Flanke mit einer Schrotflinte oder einem Kricketschläger an. Jeder MERC hat verschiedene Ausrüstungen und Eigenschaften, um sich deinem Stil anzupassen. Wähle deine 3 Teammitglieder aus und bereite dich auf den Kampf vor!

A shooter game with a lot different classes primary and secondary weapons , knife / baseball or sword for the infight or faster movement .
Grenades Skill is in each class an other fonctionnal.
Playing as team for escort the vehicule or deposit the objective , time laps and mission laps .
When you play more you can buy more classes and got some special bonus cards for the classes for other weapons or a detection for arty coming or spot landmine in front of you.

Running,jumping along the walls ,no flying ,very less cheaters what a good point is.

Ich finde das Game super. Obwohl es schon 6 Jahre auf den Buckel hat. Gut Grafik und gutes Game gefühl. Es erinnert mich irgennt wie an R6 und an ein Esport Titel es macht sehr viel Spaß und die Charakter schaltet man auch schnell frei.

I remember playing the game around 2017/18 when it was at it's best. Dirty Bomb was my first shooter i ever played and I'm glad that I had the oppurtunity to enjoy this game. Unfortunately the game is nearly dead now and I'm sad to see that.

I maybe late to review this but the game used to be really active and best FPS game i ever played. But the server is shut down and a lot of people left this game Rest in peace Dirty Bomb~
Since no one play this game anymore its no from me because its core is multiplayer

Overwatch before Overwatch was a thing, and it's free. Was good in it's hayday.

Servers are all empty now. Pretty sure it's just abandonware too, because whenever I try to join a server it only plays for a few seconds and then disconnects me.

This is a fantastic game only one thing now. the game rarely has any players in the game as in only two lobbies will be up and running racking 32 players on average 16 v 16 matches making it unplayable. So basically this game would not be recommended unless its player base is brought back up into the 200's or higher just to not sit around for countless hours waiting for a game to open up with people to play with. Again the only issue is the lack there of in population.

Even in its current state, I still highly recommend this game. There is a devoted playerbase with a few community servers here and there that allow us to continue enjoying the game long after the developer's departure from the game. Queue times are still surprisingly short, and the gameplay is just as engaging as it was 7 years ago. Honest to god I believe that this game trumps Apex and Overwatch. It honestly feels like a mixture, with the long TTK, smooth movement, and simple class-based hero shooter gameplay. Give it a try if you enjoy fast paced, objective and skill based gameplay. 10/10 in my opinion.

Loved the movement and the different roles of the game. Maps got a bit over used. Customization was pretty lackluster being based on RNG loadouts rather than individual options.

Game itself is pretty decent but the players are some of the most obnoxious people ever.
Some guy blamed me for being a shit healer so I asked him to elaborate only for someone ON THE OTHER TEAM to call me fragile and that the world doesn't revolve around me. Weirdos.

Looking back, it was kinda crazy that I spent over 400 hrs in this game.
Dirty Bomb was a one of a kind multiplayer FPS experience, and it was sad to watch your favourite game dwindle away.

9/10, not to brag but I was pretty good at this during it's heyday, I was called a hacker for like 5 times.

I've never seen an exit trailer for the life of a game like this. Absolute class. It's a more serious TF2: the dream. Just right split of style and mechanics. Should have taken over the world. Smart enough to be free. Never has a game this good been launched free. If I hadn't already spent 1500 hours in TF2 I would have cheated a significant portion of that with this honey of a game. It's basically dead and its your fault. Where were you!

Dirty bomb is a really underrated shooter. Although you never hear about it any more, the player-base is still fairly large and queue-time is extremely quick. The mixture of a hero shooter and a tactical shooter is something that is often done poorly like VALORANT or Rogue Company, but I think dirty bomb does it perfectly. Even the cosmetics and weapons are fairly easy to unlock without paying.

The remaining 300 or so players that regularly play this game know everything and it makes for a learning curve so extreme its not worth putting time into in 2021. A guy i regularly saw named Baby_aura met his wife thru that game tho which is cute. nice community but everybody knows all the matchups and the game isnt fun unless you know how to abuse the noobs.

Dirty Bomb is by far one of the best FPSes I've ever played if not the best since Quake III Arena, and I've met a lot of cool people in it. Its gunplay is nothing to be found in any other FPS, it really is that good.

Now, let's be honest : it isn't recommendable to all of the new players because veterans won't give you a chance and the vast majority of the servers ignore your level so you can be matched against the best players of your region even if you're lvl 1. Skill is everything in this game so if your skill is even slightly worse than another player you'll feel it instantly. Dirty Bomb *will* put your nerves to the test, no doubt on that. It will give you the chills and make you feel like a f-ing god if you're good, but it will also dig your mental health a six feet deep grave if you aren't.

If you're prepared for the emotional rollercoaster Dirty Bomb can be, then dive in and you won't play any other FPS for a good while, but if you're not, don't even bother downloading it, it doesn't catter for casual players at all. Also, it's unmaintained so don't expect new characters / maps / weapons / etc.

I'll still recommend Dirty Bomb because it's so unique and I want this f-ing game to survive.

This game still has more quality than 90% of the shooters released as of late. Absolutely NEEDS to make a comeback. Every match felt different than the last. Plenty of friends were made (And lost). Community was listened to (for the most part) and their interaction helped sculpt the lore. All of this and it was free to play. In game purchases just made you look fancy and didn't give you any huge advantage. I should've appreciated it more when it was at it's peak. :(

One of the hidden gems in the free to play category.

Objective based and fast paced fps shooter. One of the games I used to play when I had a very bad pc.

Dirty Bomb was the best free-to-play shooter ever made, and one of the best FPS's in general.

The death of Dirty Bomb is genuinely heartbreaking, it was and still is unmatched today.

Good game
Fast-paced teambased shooter, is nice.

Sadly the game no longer gets any updates, but if you already play TF2 this shouldnt bother you a bit.

It was a great game in its prime. I've got a lot of nostalgia for this game, even if I was never really good at it. All the characters are incredibly iconic to me, in the same way the tf2 characters are to all the OG tf2 players.

I only came back here to leave a solemn F at its' grave. Rest in peace Dirty Bomb. It was fun while it lasted.

Definetly a game I would reccomend in 2017-2018, only because the devs stopped supporting the game only 2 years ago, this game was amazing and heavily impacted my childhood as it brought so much fun into my life playing it as a kid, I stopped playing around 3 years ago because they removed execution, a csgo type gamemode, which killed the community a little bit, this game really shined a light in my life and although im sad to see it go, it was great and it helped me meet alot of the friends i talk to, to this day, so this game will hold a dear place in my heart no matter what, thanks DB Dev Team, for everything. :)

Here's a short story.
Back in 2016, I built my first gaming pc for like a 1000$. This game was at its peak back then. My friend in school told me we should try this and yes we did and we loved it. Due to school, I never got to play much, maybe a maximum of 2hours a day. But god, they were so worth it. I remember my friend and me grinding for the Christmas event to get the charms. My favorite mercs are phantom and proxy. I have a 1000kills with the katana itself. It's like I remember every late-night match that constant struggle to defend the last objective and sneaking in with phantom. It's one of those games in which you have memories with a good friend. Hate to admit is he was better than me at games and still is, haha.
All I'm saying is this game might not have the player base now, but I have played it and enjoyed every bit of it. I have never written such a big review, but I have to say this game really has a special place in my heart. It's pure nostalgia for me. Reminds me of high school days. Now that they are over and so is this game's development. I wish I could play it and live 2016 all over again. Great Game Good Times.

Pretty fun, fast-paced. Wish they'd redo the Armory/Barrack bit, but otherwise, highly enjoyable.

Now, the game in its self is very good, but there are several things that made me quit so fast.

The community, there's always someone flaming their team, and you can't even report the players for that category, there's only cheating or bad name.
Besides that it is a game you can only play by yourself unless you like scouring for hours for a match with enough spaces for a team, which by the way, you can't make a party, they have to join your game.

The mechanics are cool,such as the parkour, a wide variety of classes with at least 4 different ops to chose, so to say the least isn't a bad thing, and when the game says fast paced, it is fast paced.

Overall, wouldn't recommend if you want to play with friends.

Dirty bomb is an awesome f2p fast-pace shooter game, with a close and welcoming community. It emphasizes on your individual skills like aiming, positioning and movement as well as close team work. The only down side to the game is it no longer has developer support thus losing player base and having crashes once in a while. Other than that game’s amazing and very much involving :-)

I get depressed every time I see this game in my library, and then I'm promptly reminded that a game as good as this was allowed to die so suddenly.

It's a great game, it's just that there is no more support from developers, and there's a dwindling player count.

You shall be missed,
if only the devs would see you for what you are and what you could have become like the rest of us who have put our soul and time, made friends and rivals alike. this post mortem is 2 years too late but this the game that made us gamers and give us what we have yearned for. sure many have criticized its monetary system which many agree is very terrible, but a lot of us have learned to look past and sunk our soul (and wallets yes i know ) into the game because we have seen the potential or the possibility it might possess. but sadly, each update only brings minor dissapointments and changes , the balances that are not what we asked for, (sniper, shotgun changes and some other weapon nerfs that only cripple pro players instead of helping new people.). at this time, we could only say things such as this game could have been like this and could have been better. but sadly its time is up, and people like us? have to moved on having this guilt in heart and probably like me writing this review that will not change anything. (except laughing at people who claimed their game is dead. yeah right.). and i could only suppose that you the reader are reading this review is that you too are currently yearning for a similar game like this i could only say that there is no game out there that allows each individual class to fend for themselves and even fight yet be able to perform their respective roles, movement that allows you to outflank your opponents, abilities that used right will and infact change the course of the match, the disorganize teamwork that clutches at the last second. the ability to top score & frag with any possible Mercenary (except hunter holy shit he is dogshit, top scoring with him is pain) . TF2? possibly, Overwatch? maybe, Paladin..... its an overwatch clone..... point is DirtyBomb allows you to be free of your class roles and get out there and frag. the freedom and liberty out of your class role. just because you are a medic doesnt mean you have to hide behind a Heavy because he has a big gun, NO, get out there and frag with your heavy. you are a sniper doesnt mean you have to stay far back to avoid confrontation. go quickscope those noobs you are better than this, you got a pocket SMG if you want some CQB too just get out there. now, me and my friends who are from this game are currently at an Exodus because up till now we cant find another game that dirtybomb can provide. so what we gonna do now? well, this will be the time to let go of this game after i have written down this review ( more like a last Will ) and say goodbye to a game that could have been.

Dirty Bomb is basically dead in terms of updates, but that doesn't mean you can't play a bit on some random community server. The game is fast paced and the guns lethal enough for a fat ass with a minigun to shred you to death in matter of seconds. Would've been epic if the developer wouldn't want to forget this game and actually come back to it. But knowing the truth, they won't come back and just leave this game to rot.

This game's playerbase is only ~220 at most on a good day, sometimes being even as low as ~40.

Pros:
-Gun play feels really damn solid
-Play as a redneck with a turret, black chick faster than Usaine Bolt with a shotgun and healing capabilites, etc.
-Jump off walls and climb high
-A Mercenary for every kind of player (Screw you Phantom mains, stop killing me and my turret you invisible cunt.)
-Most players are friendly enough, seeing as this is a small community at this point.
-Free to play (Plays like a AAA $60 game.)
-Customizable loadouts (fairly limited customization but customization none-the-less)
-The skins for the mercs and weapons aren't an eye sore and are merely pattern/colour changes.

Cons:
-Tiny playerbase
-The toxic players are toxic af (There are a few, not many but they are still there.)

Gunplay: 10/10
Community: 8/10
Movement: 10/10
Price: It's literally free

Dirty Bomb is a free to play first-person shooter multiplayer game.
There are 2 different game modes, Objective and Stopwatch. In Objective you have to complete objectives to reach the finale before time runs out. Stopwatch is an competitive objective mode, where teams swap sides mid-match to see who is faster.
The player can choose up to three mercenaries (from over 20 distinct mercs), to play as during the round and can switch between them freely between lives.
Unfortunately, the developed has stopped. There is no new content coming anymore. Community servers are still available and there are still people playing it (but only a few hundreds). It is still fun to play but it is annoying that you can not matchmake with friends anymore (was possible in the past).
If you like shooters and can handle some dated graphcis you can give it a try as it is free you got nothing to lose.

Sounds 7/10
Graphics 6/10
Gameplay 7/10

One of the best games i've ever played and there is never gonna be a fast paced action shooter that gives you this much pleasure . Best shooting mechanics and a challenging game . The matchmaking has been broken from the beginning till now . But I wont complain because win or lose its just too good to play .

underated, think of it as a mix of tf2 and call of duty??????

Great game, played like 500 hours and I still get destroyed in every match. Lots of action and excitement getting absolutely pwnt like a nub.

Finally a Real competitor game that can challenge TF2 and Very well balanced. I've played CSGO, Overwatch (Which was Horrible), paladins and none of them can I say they are a good competitor game to TF2. Until now. This is the game that can be as good as TF2 and is balanced very well. It's just needs more maps and Modes to play on. Every character feels good. Best part No Stun Characters. There is good team work and healing, shooting, melee weapons, buff, and abilities to even the playing field. I can't say this enough. If like TF2 balanced hard but fair gameplay. You will like this one too.

one of my favorite games ever... i wish it would have continued to be developed. sadly it's discontinued, so don't expect updates, patches or anything new that it is now. Don't even expect ranked or something, just normal public games and matches or POG on discord.
if you're new i don't really know if i should reccomend you to play or not, but i think every true gamer should at least try this awesome game.

This game is fun but you should play only around peak hours if you want to be entertained. There is only around 200 people who still play this game, and if you aren't playing during peak hours you are going to have to deal with the sweatiest man children to ever walk the earth. I swear some of them haven't slept since this game came out over 5 years ago lmao

This is one of the most fun shooters I've ever played and it sits right next to Team Fortress 2 in that regard. It's nowhere near pay to play but it can be somewhat grindy to unlock mercs.

You can't matchmake / lobby up with friends anymore, defeats point of team based games unless you're happy playing with randoms.

Mixing Loadouts with cosmetics wasn't a good idea. But the game is pretty fun for a f2p title.

Sad this game is dying.. I used to play this game before my college classes. I stream it nowadays while its still got a few servers left, and its still super fun. 8/10 would/have recommend(ed).

This game is dead now, and that sucks. They took good ideas from a dozen good shooters and made one of the most fun fps match games I ever played. We used to play CS in the late 90s/early 2000s and playing maps of this brought back that feeling of fun.

I don't know what killed this game, by the time I got here it was bleeding out. That's really too bad, it was an amazing game.

I can't give much detailed opinions on why the game is good, since i don't really want to analyze the game. I just want to play...and games i feel like that about nowadays is scarce. So beware, this is a totally nostalgic review, not an analytical.

This game is like a friend. One that i did not enyoy much the first few weeks. But this friend aged on me and became better and better the more time i spent with it. Every game is more fun then the last, all the new tricks you find brings you more joy. This friend is sooo unique, feels ver ydifferent from all other games, in a ways i can't explain. It's almost mysteriously adictive. Ive played this game both as a teenager and now as an adult, and it brings me a nostalgic euphoria close to the feeling of playing N64. DB was my first online fps ever, so it holds a special place in my hearth.

Unfortunately, this friend is now growing weaker by the day while im still strong. The community is getting smaller while i still desperately want to play for more years to come. I wihs this game got the traction and love it deserves, but right now im just gonna enyoy what time there is left of this game instead of hoping on a resurgence. But if there is one, i hope it lasts a long time and that the devs get another rush of inspiration to continue development of the game, or even a DB2...?

10/10 on the nostalgia scale! Enyoy everyone!

it is simply... the best FPS that I have played, the game needs more promotion and marketing. It is very dinamic to play, you can jump in walls, flank enemies with that in mind, run and shoot at the same time, you have different kind of clases, every character has its own style... it has few maps but those are very pulish in detail. I have more than 400 games in my library, some are AAA titles, but I still coming back to this game like a SICK person.... I guess I like it :)

Dirty Bomb was and is a class-based team shooter that could rival TF2 or Overwatch in gameplay value. The gunplay feels almost as good as CS:GO and the movement is straight out of Titanfall. The roster of characters feels neat and well integrated, unlike R6 Siege where they tack on new operators like gum under a desk. This game had a lot going for it and it's a shame that it's been left to such a small community. I still come back now and then to remember what a fun game this is. You can still find a couple full servers. If you can, I recommend getting a dozen friends and playing your own match for a couple hours. If Dirty Bomb 2 was announced tomorrow I would be first on preorder.

Although it carries its imbalances, this game is a blast with or without friends. Every map is engaging and allows players using any character to solo an objective, even if they're outnumbered. A fun FPS for sure, its a shame that there aren't enough players to merit official servers anymore though.

Yes you can compare it to overwatch, but it takes the good elements of overwatch and brings it a good bit closer to cs:go. I.e. gunplay more important, less overhyped abilities and radical movement.

Makes this game the better overwatch for me. Try it out, its free :)

I remember when this game used to be more pay to win and being much harder to grind. Now there is no more micro-transactions and most things can be purchased with credits you get from playing and daily challenges.

Fun and versatile Mercs, each with unique and nice abilities. You can try out 3 mercs everyweek for free, which is very nice in deciding which mercs to get.

Multiplayer is kinda dead, and ranked matchmaking doesn't exist since there are no official servers (that i know of). Very good game for being free, and you won't have to worry about overspending cause they removed micro-transactions. Wished they would go back and fix up some things though.

Deserves more players than it has.

Brilliant F2P game, especially for an hour or two of play.

Pros:
- Servers are still active and you usually join a game within a few seconds of searching. I am from the UK and there's a good selection of live servers across Europe.
- Team balance is decent.
- Amazing selection of mercs to unlock and play as.
- Great audio.
- Low toxicity and people are generally friendly.
- It's free.
- Overall a decent game you can definitely grab some fun out of. I haven't played that long (23 hours) over the past few months, but I will continue to play. This game deserves more recognition.

Cons:
- Developers need to come back in and add a few more maps and some updates to boost the player base and add more variety to the game play.
