Eine eindeutige empfehlung an alle Dragon Ball Fan's

Positiv aufgefallen ist mir:
-Das Spiel läuft sehr Flüssig und Stabiel
-Der Spielablauf ist nach etwas übung auch sehr flüssig
-Die steuerung ist sehr eingänglich (XBox 360 Controller)
-Durch einen angemessenen schwierigkeitsgrad hat man schon das ein oder andere erfolgserlebniss
-Die Story birgt ungeahntes :)
-Sehr viele Fähigkeiten von denen viele nicht einfach zu bekommen sind
-Das Spiel hat einen sehr umfangreichen Inhalt (Storys, Aufgaben, Nebenmissionen, Charakterindividualisierung)

etwas negativ aufgefallen ist:
-Das Kampfgeschehen wird bei mehreren gegnern/mitspielern schon mal etwas unübersichtlich
-Die Paralel Quests haben sehr viele zusatzaufgaben leider ohne jedwede beschreibung
-Die Mentoren (Meister) sind recht schwierig zu finden (in Tokitoki city)
- Die Dropraten von Fähigkeiten und Gegnständen sind extrem schlecht teiweise habe ich PQ's mehrere dutzend male gespielt bevor es einen Drop gab (und dann meist nicht den gewünschten)

Das sind meine eindrücke nach 230 Std. Spielzeit
Jeder der Dragon ball mag oder zumindest die Spiele (Budokai 1-3, Budokai Tenkaitchi 1-3 und Battle of Z) sollte Xenovers einmal Spielen und ich Wette den meisten wird es gefallen denn es bringt ein neues und frisches feeling in die Spielereihe.

Desshalb eine Eindeutige Empfehlung holt euch Xenovers es Lohnt sich

Fun take on the DBZ universe. Same story with a twist. Create your own character. That's about it to this dated game.
Revolutionary when it first came out, but now poor frame rate and lack of player base, the game is essentially dead too. Thankfully, single player is still playable. Would be better off spending money on the 2nd game, or another DB title.

My girlfriend told me that she would never pay for anime games, as she believed that it cost too much and that she would not play games such as this in the long run. However, I decided to buy it for her out of my pocket - AND SHE WAS OBSESSED. I tell you. Wait till' there is sale and buy this game. I got so much pussy that day and you will too! If you don't have a girlfriend, you will have one, one day once you buy this game.

I went into Dragon Ball Xenoverse completely blind. I enjoyed my time with it a lot! It's a very fast and engaging fighting game. My only gripe with it is that the campaign doesn't do the best job of getting you ready for each fight, there will be times where you'll either have to 'git gud' and fight a boss who is significantly stronger than you, or go play some parallel quests to level up and match their power level. It's a fun game that introduced me to the wacky world of Dragon Ball, I'd definitely say play it if you like fighting games. Go my fellow gamers, save Hercule. He needs you!

Ooh wow it's such a great game! I haven't enjoyed any game in so long! The story is really interesting and the gameplay is totally fun! My only complaint the clueless ally AI hmph what a shame...

This game is pretty fun, and a nice dragonball experience, but parts of it are SUPER hard, so be prepared for a challenge, or grinding, or bringing some trusty friends with power levels far exceeding the norm!

The game has aged too badly and the gameplay is very unpleasant, the story remains interesting but it's a real chore to want to know it when you don't enjoy playing it. it's a shame. :(

Had a blast playing this, but getting all of the skills was just TOO much of a struggle i wish they were a tremendously easier to get, some are fairly easy tho and some have conditions to unlock. other then that the character creator is Great, clothes have stats and looks fascinating and abilities can mixed and equipped to YOUR liking! you can either go FULL ki or go PHysical, though as far as i have seen ALMOST everyone goes full on ki. the story replays the most memorable moments of Dragonball where a EVIL time traveler is disrupting the time line, it is YOUR responsibility that he STOPS doing so, at first your just a mere recruit/soldier who does small stuff while you gradually made your way up or so the story implies i believe. some missions are just absolutely nightmare, not all of them are even slightly easy to get S on. The combat mechanics in this game are just perfect, very well thought out and its just satisfying you know? Definitely give it a go.

This game when i purchased it was an absolutely incredible experience. The game was amazing at the time but if you're thinking about buying it after reading this review please don't. My understanding is that most people who would play online are now playing it's sequel which is leagues ahead in terms of quality. If you want to play this game for the story, either look it up, watch a playthrough, or play the Kakarot game. The game was great but there just isn't much point in playing it at the time this review is being written.

There's a little something for everyone.

Basically a fanfiction video game where you get to make up your own Dragonball character, pal around with Trunks, and fight Frieza etc. It's a really fun idea and getting to make my own namek and be Piccolo's student was the big appeal for me, but then the gameplay happened and it's just kind of grindy and repetitive with dumb AI and button mashing gameplay. I really love the idea of it but can't get into the gameplay of it.

I liked this one more than II. Really fun to play, nice coop. The open world its dumb and very japanese (no immersive at all, very bland and beautiful at the same time), but the action its fun and you can play as a saiyan woman, thats cool!

Only missing to play as a child or a Krillin size human... also Boo race looks like boo... but female boo its hot as fuck. Whats up with that? No fat boo for females?

Anyway... nice game

Xenoverse 2 exists and is literally the complete version of Xenoverse. This game's combat is straight up unbalanced. It was so much fun years ago, but Xenoverse 2 simply does exist

Good for a little nostalgia trip and a few mods you can scavenge if you'd like, might take you a minute to find some though. Other than that, I don't see any other reason as to why anybody would buy this now,
Its online servers got shut down, so you can't even do online battles in the first place.
There's barely any content aside from story mode and parallel quests.
The amount of mods are limited so any external content is practically out of the picture (not to mention a lot of them are low quality or game breaking due to this game not exactly being mod compatible).
There just isn't a reason to play this anymore it's quite literally a dead game

You might enjoy this game if you like Dragonball Z What If Scenarios. However the gameplay can be boring at times and it's all about practically doing the same combos over and over again. What keeps this from becoming totally stale, is the many moves that it has. Also you can make your own Dragonball Z character which is cool to feel like you are now in league with gods and one of the strongest people in the universe which really doesn't make sense. Trying to get skills though, OH BOI. It's damn near impossible. It's gonna get you a million tries to get the skill you want. You can only get skills by playing the quests or finishing the story till they appear in the shop (this only applies for a few skills not all of them). It seems there is RNG in trying to get a skill and let me tell you, it's not in your favour. The same applies to trying to collect Dragonballs. You need to beat some NPCs that appear in certain quests but the thing is when you beat them and retry the quest, the same person might appear who has a lower chance of dropping you a Dragonball. The story is pretty decent I guess and the Final Boss and Bosses are pretty ok. Multiplayer is probably dead because the sequel is better in terms of quantity. So if you just like playing through the Dragon Ball Z storyline only and don't care about 100% the game then I suggest you get this game in sale cause tbh it's not worth the price. Overall this game is like a 13/20 for me.

I didn't have high hopes for Dragonball Xenoverse because the Dragonball franchise is rife with low-quality games that cash in on one of the biggest fanbases in anime history. Xenoverse is a unique attempt to not only capture the qualities of DB that make fans love the series, but also make it canonical. Though this attempt is a little flawed in some respects, it's a faithful entry that both succeeds as a video game and a DBZ title.

As a Dragon Ball fan I really recommend this video game.
Of course it has some problems, like enemies only focusing on you and ignoring completely your teammates, or enemies constantly doing super powers all the time.
I would like to have more customization too, I mean, other hairstyles, clothes or playing as an Android or Half-Saiyan.
Also I really miss the antialiasing, and shaders makes the illumination on the characters a bit weird sometimes.
Neither of this points makes the game feel bad or makes the game unplayable or horrible in anyway,this game is very fun and addictive.

It's quite good, although it's not even close to Xenoverse 2.
Gameplay is kind of slow compared to XV2.
Remember XV2 had much better and more creative combos, not to talk about much more items, skills and much bigger roster ofc...
Still this one wasn't half-bad either, in fact it did start the whole Xenoverse idea thing and in a year it developed in XV2 which is the best game in Dragon Ball franchise.
In my opinion XV1 is not worth the full price, get it on discount only.
The game lacks a lot and that's why full price would be almost robbery.
Thank you Bandai for not giving up on XENOVERSE 2!!!

Overall, this game is lacking the polish and feel I was hoping for. This game feels really janky when it comes to combos and the ammount of RNG involved with ultimate finishes on PQ's and getting outfits and skills to drop makes things rediculously grindy at times. Walking around the overworld trying to get the master you want to spawn takes forever. If you have a female character, the characters will refer to you as male anyways. If you're an achievement hunter, quite a few of the achievements require you to play online and the online's dead, so you'd have to find someone else who owns the game and is looking for those achievements. If you skip this game and just play the second one, you aren't missing much.

What can I say about Dragonball Tenkaichi Budokai Goemon’s Great Adventure Chronophantom Pain Xenosaga Gears of War? It’s a solid 2/5 if you don’t like Dragonball, or have played their shitty games since the Playstation and Gameboy eras, but if you’re a fan (or like me, was a fan in like elementary school or some jazz) it’s worth it.

It’s a game about fanfiction, self-insertion fan-fiction, Somehow being tricked by Namco Bandai into playing the same fucking fights over and over again, and pretending this 3D combat definitely couldn’t be improved on.
If I’m being completely impartial Xenoverse has a lot of flaws, but it’s also the first Dragonball game since Final Bout and Boudokai 1 that actually made me enjoy the fucking games again. In the past Dragonball games have been these really shitty Final Fight ripoffs that gave ArcWorks a massive erection since they seemed to have ripped it off and made every game that wasn’t Guilty Gear basically a better DBZ fighting game (not Fighter Z you retard) rip-off, change my fucking mind.
Historically, with flying DBZ has been a better fighting game, however until this point flight in Xenoverse’s predecessors have been as well-planned and articulated as a library designed by someone suffering Cerebral Palsy and Parkinsons simultaneously. Previously your flight had the same four degrees of movement as walking on the ground, which was as fun to play and utilize as an accordion that actively breaks your fingers. Now that there’s home consoles powerful enough, we finally get flight the way we should: with 360 of movement.

The fights take place in large, open-air coliseums meant for no one, and feel like you’re showing up to a fight rather than being staged yet again to face Frieza, which happens, and I’ll address later. On the ground you can utilize the gamepad completely without fear of flying into the air unless you really enjoy holding the jump key/button mid-combo. This allows you to mercilessly beat the shit out of everyone, knock them into the sky, and watch like an asshole pretending he doesn’t know how to fly because you enjoy hitting people.
Once you knock a guy into the sky, or better: once your opponent follows you into the sky the rules of engagement change, and in a way that only makes sense if you’re cooking your brain with brain-eating amoebas and meth. People can fall once they’re in the sky…which makes diddly fucking sense to me—but it’s possible! Since stamina is everything in this game, if you run out after being punched too hard or dealt a knockdown in the sky, your character kind of falls until they hit the ground, or in certain levels, The Sky-Ground! This is really annoying to me because every episode of the show had people going all-out in fights and yet my character, who has mastered Tai Chi, discounts at the supermarket on Tuesdays, returning library books after being sent to collections for a $94 fee for Dante Alighieri’s The Divine Comedy, and slapping the shit out of someone when they have a nice haircut, has not yet understood the concept of ensuring they get proper cardio while going to the same gym that Arnold Schwarzenegger actually went to in the 80’s. This means every time my stamina is out and I have to wait for that shitty gray-bar recharge the stupid-ass AI is staggeringly following you as you descend into the mouth of hell, abandoning all hope right before you hit the ground at last. It almost makes you want to completely fucking forgo fighting in the air, so great job guys. I’m real proud that we finally got good fighting and aerial movement only for them to fuck it up.

So that’s just movement, the rest of combat is pretty solid compared to Tenkaichi Budokai The Last Christmas Photocopy Strike Fighters Z. Story and canon Dragonball Z (GT is in here too…as DLC…for some reason) characters have their own sets, costumes, and skillsets depending on costumes/eras you’ve chosen. Your own character has a set of moves based on a choice you make when customizing them, and then you kind of boost into their skills using skill points earned each level up. If you’ve read my reviews you would know I like punching everything under the sun, then putting them in the ground—not hitting the ground—in the ground. My move sets center around punching people, and sending them to the Mega Gay Zone using Master Card’s ultimate technique after a 58-punch combo. After getting skill points, I went from being some dude to being Mister Dude, and customized my move set so that it feels natural. I go from combos to sending people to the moon using concentrated Unicorn Dreams with effortless hotkey migration and combo integration. For a 3D game setting up your own fighter and kicking people’s ass is great.
Building your character will mainly happen through Parallel Quests, whose experience and item drops will provide you with more skills and boosts for stats. If your character is a Saiyan you can actually get Super Saiyan for free by doing them, and Kaioken can also be acquired the same way. If you think that’s kind of lame, you can literally buy them later—way later—but that’s the price you pay, dummy.

You start the game as a custom character, being greeted by the most awfully-voiced character: English VA “Future” Trunks. In this game I play as Puncho McPunch, a lone wanderer from the land of Punchtopis on planet McPunch. Like my heroes from planet Virginia, my character is algo named after their planet, father, town, blood type, voter registration, tax form for importing exotic fruits, and a cheese grater. While wandering the fields of McPunch they were brought through a space-time sphincter and sent to Definitely-Not-a-Shitty-Name-for-Tokyo city, where Future Pleb has used the Dragon’s ball to wish for a strong warrior to help him rather than wish his problems to go away.
Don’t worry, it only makes more sense as we go on.
After beating the shit out of Trunks and reminding him that both his mom and dad were always side characters, he agrees you are the Wizard of Legend and conscripts you. I only assume we’re supposed to go along with and not challenge this because a magic Chinese dragon made me appear, and it would kind of suck if you wished for something and it beat the shit out of you AND didn’t obey your commands, that’s just shitty wish-granting…right Shenmue?
Anyways, Trunks then decides it’s time for you to see his sacred Hentai collection, revealing that his little brother has been coming into his room and using crayon to put massive penises on all the women. Since Trunks isn’t into futa or traps, justice needs to be dispensed in the form of self-inserting fanfiction fist-fucking action.
You show up to Rabbit’s baby shower, helping Pickle Rick and Karrot Top beat him since the unholy grape juice is strong with this one. This sets up an interesting precedent, but it also points out a glaring flaw. As you go through Karrot Top’s story you realize you’re missing a lot of staple fights just to beeline straight to the major VHS-cover battles, like Firecell, Ginko Force, Virginia and Naples, Belle, Marlin from Finding Nemo, and one of the Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp. There’s a story in between all these events in which you find out the Red Coats are behind most of this mess, and are doing this because they didn’t like that Karrot Top once said that Outlaw Star was better than Cowboy Bebop, hating him not because he was right, but because they didn’t like that opinion.
Cut to hole the size of a plot and you find out those guys were bullshit, and the real villain is Cicero from Skyrim.
I’m not fucking joking, this campaign is really fucking hilarious if you examine it closely. It’s still fun, but come on? Did Akira Toriyama’s kid write this?

I've bought this in 2017 and I am impressed.

It's graphics, playability and sound quality is a lot better than it's predecessor, Dragon Ball Online (Sort of), which was released about a decade before this review was written.

However, I am a little disappointed as there weren't as many outfits and playable characters as I've expected. This game has more options in terms of race selection for our own customisable character than DBO, which I am happy to see.

Overall, I am quite impressed with what the developers have done to the game, and I had fun playing.

Don't buy this. Better off buying XV2 on Switch(which has the XV1 story) or on PC with the mod that enables the Switch exclusive content.

Story is ok, Graphics are expected, but I find it pretty fun.

First of all, the game is extremely grindy. If you want to beat all the parallel quests, get ready for endless hours of exhausting grinding.

Some missions are also overly difficult to the point where many times it doesn't become fun, dying countless times.

Many things aren't very balanced, like the Super Saiyan transformation having unlimited ki, which leads to people just spamming their ultimate moves.

Online is broken 50% of the time, but it is also partly bad internet from either of the other person, so it is moderately normal.

Combat takes time getting used to after playing a game like kakarot, or even zenoverse 2.

Parallel quests get pretty repetitive, many are just copy pasted or just add more people to an already existing pq.

Although most of the game is an unfinished mess, I found it fun leveling up my character, teaching him new moves, and doing training / pqs with beloved characters from the series. Being able to play as your own character is honestly the best part of this game

Buy on sale, this game is a solid 5/10 but 6/10 dbz game

My steam cloud broke and after wasting 50 hours and trying to turn it on to cloud to transfer save to xenoverse 2 because steam can't transfer without cloud tho there's one folder distance in saves, erased my lvl 84 majin and i have to recomplete the game or forget because i have xenoverse 2. Thank you steam and bandai

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is an amazing anime fighting and action game.Every fan of Dragon Ball would love this.It gets better I loved going through the sagas with your own custom avatar and being able to play as different character's if you want to do battles online.It's awesome how it's not just the dragon ball z timeline again! and I was super surprised about how smooth and great it looks and sounds.The best thing is the animations it was great when I first turned super sayain and I LOVED IT. Anyone who loves dragon ball and making custom avatar's it makes you think like you actually are in the dragon ball world!

The game is great at first but gets boring really fast. The fighting mechanics are simple, but they get old very quickly. Some bosses also have something called super armor that you have to break in order to be able to punch them without them being able to stagger you when you hit them first, so you have to use key blasts in order to be granted that few seconds of being able to hit them while staggering them. Imo the story isn't that great either, the music is nice though so at least they got that. Rewards are rng based as well so when you do a mission to get that one ability you can't buy, you have to play it over and over until you get what you wanted.

I don't have much to say about the multiplayer though since I've never bothered to try it out. If you're looking for a game like this that is actually good I recommend Xenoverse 2 since the combat is better and there is much more variety in terms of what you can do with each race, what items you can equip that help you, super attacks, ultimate attacks, and there's awoken skills that offer you more than just being able to go super saiyan. And not only that, but there's 3 types of super saiyan awoken skills to fit what kind of abilities you'll use. In this game all you have is super saiyan and every other race has no power up besides kaioken, so there's literally no point in picking anything other than saiyan since it allows you to spam ultimates.

If you are looking for fighting game i would not recommend this game.
The fighting mechanics very simple, which not necessarily bad, but it gets pretty boring quite fast.
I can only recommend this game to those who love to grind and farm, and at the same time a gambling addict, because you have only a chance to get the reward, while the requirements for it can be quite annoying to fullfil.

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE is a good game.

-The servers are dead(I have never been able to connect I receive the same error every time, at least the singleplayer works well)

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE is a very successful game but it still has some problems around here, but it also offers a pleasant experience in the largest universe, many famous fighting characters.

8.5/10 Must Play! I recommend you buy it when it is on sale.

Any fan of DBZ will love the game.
Being able to create my own character and interact with the classic DBZ stories and characters is, by far, my favorite part. It was awesome to see new characters, villains, and story unfold instead of just playing the same DBZ storyline over again.

The combat is fast paced yet easy to approach whether someone is adept at fighting games or not.
I normally don't play fighting games but constantly come back to this one to pass the time. It reminded me greatly of DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3's combat - which was my favorite in the series.

The biggest drawback is it's lack of proper chat options. Having a set list of 'responses' to select instead of the ability to properly type at other players is the absolute worst. I haven't used the voice chat feature personally.

This late in the game's life, and the fact that it has completely separate sequel, it's online community is very small. But I still find myself coming back to it to pass the time and continue to get Z rank in missions and collect various items and moves.
