Drakensang: Phileassons Geheimnis ergänzt sowohl die "Phileasson Saga" als auch die Geschichte des PC-Spiels um ein neues Kapitel. Dieser Epilog soll direkt mit der aktuellen Überarbeitung der Pen&Paper-Kampagne verzahnt werden. So entsteht eine neue Geschichte rund um den DSA-Charakter Asleif "Foggwulf" Phileasson, der im Rahmen einer Wettfahrt Aventurien umrundete. Dabei schrieb er aventurische Geschichte, bestand zahlreiche Abenteuer, lernte neue Wesen und Völker kennen und brachte wertvolle Schätze sowie sein unbezahlbares Expeditionswissen heim.

Awesome and slow paced oldschool RPG.
You only get a few group members to pick from, but every character in the game is fully voiced (except for the protagonist) and the world is made with a huge love to detail.
It's one of my all time favourites <3
Just don't expect any action.

Phileasson's Geheimnis bringt zwei neue Questlines (Die eigentliche Phileasson-Questline und die etwas kürzere Schatzsuchen-Questline), ein neues Gebiet, ein neues Rüstungsset, ein paar neue Waffen und einen neuen temporären Begleiter (Wer das ist, deutet schon der Name dieses Add-Ons subtil an). Wann der Spieler die Quests angeht, ist ihm überlassen.
Phileasson's Geheimnis ist ein Addon, welches sich für Leute eignet, die Drakensang 1+2 so sehr mochten, dass sie noch ein paar zusätzliche Quests machen wollen und solche, die sich mit der DSA-Lore auskennen und den legendären Asleif Foggwulf Phileasson außerhalb von Romanen und Pen&Paper-Abenteuern sehen wollen. Wer allerdings mit Drakensang oder dem Schwarzen Auge generell bisher nichts anfangen konnte, dessen Meinung wird auch durch Phileassons Geheimnis nicht geändert.
Was noch erwähnt werden sollte: Spielstände des Grundspiels lassen sich mit Phileassons Geheimnis nicht laden, also muss wohl oder übel ein neues Spiel begonnen werden.

one of the best RPGs ever made, bundle Drakensang, Drankensang RoT and Phileasson's Secret together and witness what beauty RPGs in the new age can be.
intelligent combat-mechanics, great choice in building your char and your party, all while TDE (DSA)-mechanics work in the back, with pausable, semi-roundbased-combat like Baldurs Gate offered.
All that in rich world with tons over tons of lore, adventure, great NPCs and interesting stories, beeing it the mainquests or simple side-tasks.
You can't go wrong with this series, it's a shame there aren't many more games like this, but atleast there are some pearls like this left.
For people who missed the series: it stands the test of time pretty well, course it's not 2015 coded, but the athmosphere saves a lot of times gone by.

Buy, enjoy, thank me later.

I really enjoyed this game the story was entertaining and the characters were decently written and voice acted. The game has some serious save corruption problems so save very frequently with unique save names for each save I think I had 173 when I finished. I recommend starting the DLC towards the end of the game, when most enemies in the base game have stopped giving adventure points.

This is a great add-on!
It adds new story, new beautiful lands, many colorful characters.
If you like NWN or Dragon Age, you should play Drakensang The Dark Eye and River of Time with this add-on of course.
I recommend it. I'm sure you'll enjoy this game!

Great expansion pack to a very underrated game. If you liked Neverwinter nights 2 or the first Drakensang, please check this one out. Already gone thru these games once, about to play them again years later, if you want an old school style rpg pick this while it is on sale!

For me this Darkensang series is one of the most underrated rpg series over the last while, very good for fans of old school style rpgs and don't mind a game not holding you're hand all the time. Some well written characters and lots of roleplaying to be had!

There's no reason to not get this expansion when it's on sale. I haven't really played the base game as I was told the expansion adds more stuff to it, for a bit more than a euro the easy was quickly made to buy it.

If you like the KOTOR style of RPG you will probably like this one too if you can look past a couple of things.
The graphics were outdated when it came out and even more so now.
The fantasy aspect is generic. You've got humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, etc. and they're what you expect. Nothing unique about the world.
The story isn't really that interesting partially because the world and characters aren't really that interesting.

However if you can look past behind all that and you just want a generic fantasy RPG in the style of KOTOR you will probably enjoy yourself. I know I did.

Played this title a few years back at a friends house and decided to get it for myself since it was part of a bundle,and started playing it once more. Yes it's a older title and the graphics still hold up to the test of time and very enjoyable to play.

A shorter and less developed game than the original, but still a wonderful play experience. I would love a Drakensang 3, much like a Neverwinter Nights 3, but I doubt either would ever happen.

Drakensang 2 + expansion Phileasson's Secret= Greatly underrated RPG.
8/10 is my verdict.
Highly recommended by me.

There are three games Drakensang River of Time, Dark Eye and the add-on for River of Time - Phileasson's Secret. A great RPG with lots of quests and choices on character creation and advancement. Lots of hours of good play as well.
