Echt Cooles Tower Defense Spiel.

Perfektes Spiel für nebenbei.

Steuerung ist leicht zu verstehen.
Grafik sieht immer noch echt schick aus auch wenn das Spiel ca 10 Jahre alt ist.
Die Story ist cool.

Der Preis für das Spiel ist fair und das Spiel bietet viel Abwechslung von Waffen, Fallen, Level bis hin zu den Feinden.
Gegenüber den ersten Teil gibt es mehr Möglichkeiten wie z.B. Online Funktion, weiterer spielbare Charakter, Outfits, neue Fallen und noch vieles mehr.

Kann das Spiel nur weiter Empfehlen und einen Daumen nach ob da lassen.

Das Spiel macht echt Spaß und ich würde es gern empfehlen, aber sobald man zu zweit spielt, hängt es permanent. Da ist es ziemlich ärgerlich, wenn man in Welle 12/12 zum Beispiel wieder zurück ins Menü geworfen wird, folglich keine Schädel (zur Verbesserung von Waffen etc.) erhält und somit die Runde umsonst gespielt hat. Zudem liegt der Fokus eher auf den primären Waffen anstatt auf den Fallen etc, wodurch es ziemlich schwer ist, alle Runden alleine zu schaffen.

Das Spiel macht wirklich Spaß, vorallem zu zweit. Das Problem ist, dass die Verbindung im Koop ständig unterbricht und oft komplett abbricht.
Ich würde das Spiel empfehlen wenn man vorhat es alleine zu spielen.

Disconnects nearly every game when I want to play coop. Very frustrating, this is the only game with this issue, so it's not my internet connections fault. I would not recommend this game until this is fixed because you lose all the progress

Hate to do this, since it's a game I've had a lot of fun with in the past. But today, the co-op functionality almost may as well not exist, unless maybe you're still running Windows 7. Supposedly Windows 7 doesn't have an unusual co-op disconnection issue with OMD2. But on Windows 10, most maps my wife and I run that go very long end up disconnecting us, despite no lag shenanigans preceding it. The game just straight up boots us. Doesn't even try to wait for connections to stabilize (not that our connection is the problem here. This issue seemingly affects everyone, or at least a lot of people playing OMD2). Doesn't just not work outright. It works just fine to start. Then the game boots us, wasting our time. As a single player game, it still works just fine. But one of OMD2's big selling points *is* the co-op. And it's basically dead, unless the devs get around to fixing it. But it's been an issue for seemingly a long time, and OMD3 is out now. So...I don't see that happening. I recommend only buy this game at the deepest of discounts, and with no intention of messing with the borked co-op.

Really fun game. I discovered it too late so I played only campaign.
But still the story is fun and the game can be a really good challenge sometimes.
Traps and environment are well done.

Basically everyone was playing orcs must die 3 , and we didn't have so much money to spend
so it's way better playing this instead of the new one
for the price and for our rigs health

i bought it on sale and sure for as cheap as i bought it its decent but don't buy this game full price, the game crashed multiple times completely ruining the experience especially as you have to restart the level you were on and the levels are not exactly fun enough for me to want to replay them 5 times..

final piece of advice go get dungeon defenders, its much better and much more replayable

This is a great game, I've played many hours COOP with my brother and we've had a lot of fun. Under normal circumstances, I would recommend it to everyone who has a friend, 9/10.

But the circumstances are not normal. Ever since they released Orcs Must Die 3, the OMD2 servers have gone to hell and we get disconnects in 9/10 games. Playing a 40 minutes game? Get a disconnect 30 seconds before finishing the final wave and loose all progress, that's the new way this game works now. The multiplayer is just unplayable.

If they fix this, I will gladly change my rating, but in it's current state I can't recommend it to anybody.

I write this review exclusively for the co-op part. While the game itself is fun, it is incredibly crash prone when playing co-op, and worst of all there is no way to rejoin or rehost from a save. You literally have to restart the entire map over. This is so intensely soul draining to experience over and over that I cannot recommend this game.

The game is incredibly fun, especially when played in co-op.
However it keeps disconnecting - the issue is known all over the internet for years now and no fix have been made. And repeating levels just because you have been disconnected right before the last wave is very frustrating.
Moreover there is no 'wait for other player to reconnect' mechanism, which is simply ridiculous. If the other player is disconnected the game is over, have fun trying next time - this is simply absurd taking in consideration most of the time it's not your internet connection that gets you disconnected, it's either bad server maintenance or game bug, hard to say.
Taking all of this into consideration I cannot recommend this game, even though I think it's the best game out there in the market for 2 player co-op. I bet over 15 out of 30 hours of my gameplay was spent repeating levels I or my buddy got DCed

This game seems pretty fun, and I picked it up after reading reviews for OMD3 saying that this was better in most ways.

Unfortunately it's not really playable in multiplayer - we've been randomly dc'd 3 times in the hour we've played. A quick Google will tell you this is a common problem that's been in the game since its release, and there is no solution or fix.

It's a great two player multiplayer game. I love playing this with my wife or daughter. But As a single player game, the levels are not really designed for a single player. I would find it extremely stressful without another player to back me up.

Buy this over OMD3. This game is nearly a decade old and actually SHITS on the new game, by miles. Lots of Endless maps, decent looking characters/enemies/traps, leaderboards that work, traps you can sort and organize, 3D models for coins and skulls you get in games compared with stupid 1990 2D sprites in 'the new game (what a joke).
This game is one of the best games ever made. It is so good, I've uninstalled OMD3 after 100+ hours and actually come back to this. What a shame the devs don't understand what makes this game so great.

On sale or not, I can't recommend this game enough!

2021: Literally unplayable in Co-op. Sitting in the same room with my co-op partner, both ethernet connected, no firewalls, no anti virus stopping us, disconnects every 30 minutes. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

Otherwise, a really great game! Just need to add offline co-op or LAN connection or some sort of direct IP connect.

Is good game. I still haven't played the sequel (the Steam sequel, not the exclusivity sequel sequel). I don't know if it's possible. I think there is a single player mod? I hope so.

The game DOES work on Windows 10, not sure why another reviewer said it did not. Pretty fun game with lots to do and challenges to be had. Really fun with other players in Co-op!

One of my favorite tower defense but beware COOP now disconnects so often that it's highly improbable to finish a single map. A lot of people have posted on this issue, losing hope for a fix that should have come a while ago. I will change my review if at some point this is fixed.

The OMD! series is surely the peak of Tower Defence games. It has a sublime mix of strategy and skill. In many other TD games, the outcome of the game is only determined by your tower/troop placement, but in OMD! you can wield a bunch of personal weapons that can be as lethal as your host of traps, or better: complementary to them.

Story is boring, but the characters are enjoyable. It's one dumbass whose calling in life happens to be killing orcs, and a megalomaniac sorcerer who used the orcs for personal gain. Easily the best part of the game is the co-op. Nothing swinging an oversized hamemr on one horde of orcs while your friend launches another into a pit of lava, for some sweet sweet combo bonuses. Shout-out to DKimbo13, we killed innumerable orcs in ways like this!

The enormous variety of enemies and (more often) the layout of the levels seriously force you to strategise on which traps you decide on before you start the level. The upgrade system is rewarding and gratifying. Traps and weapons can get simple damage upgrades as well as new mechanics added to them. There is plenty of extra challenge in the nightmare difficulty, endless mode and DLCs.

There are some minute flaws. The sorceress sucks to play single player because she has very little crowd control BUT she complements the war mage well in co-op. Maxing all upgrades takes ludicrous farming BUT you can refund your currency at any time for no cost. Not all traps are made equal BUT this is intentional design.

2021 update - It became unplayable due to horrid server package they never wanted to pay to upgrade.

You literally cannot play the game in coop anymore without disconnects - Do not purchase.

The only bad thing about this game is that it has ruined every other game vaguely like it by raising the bar so high. (Un)fortunately, that only covers like five games. Damn near unique.

i love it i really do. its addicting but its bugged. the co op feature always disconnect and doesn't even save, all progress wasted. Im willing to buy all the DLCs pls devs fix this. *cries in despair*

You can defend a hole against a horde of male ogres a with a female character dressed in lingerie and miniskirt and i don't know if that counts as fe-minism or advocating male fa-ntasies, either way the gameplay is fun.

Kevin McCallister had a rough life. After preventing countless home invasions and growing up in a somewhat calloused, chaotic—and not to mention oblivious—household, he became increasingly paranoid as years passed. He was driven to a life of solitude, isolation, and a feeling of inadequacy.

Everything changed for Kevin when a wizard appeared before him and said, “I’ve sent a gang of mythical misfits on a journey involving a piece of jewelry. I need you to take care of any enemies that threaten their success. Don’t worry, it involves your area of expertise.”

The Good:

More traps = more chaos. More physics traps = Infinite chaos.
Traps for walls, traps for ceilings, traps for floors, and minions to help out.
Interesting weapon variety you may not expect for a game like this. It’s not swords and shields or bows and arrows, although there is a bit of that too. But a rocket launcher? Come on, you didn’t expect that. Use it on the rockboys.
Amazing soundtrack. It has harpsichords, harps, strings, organs, distorted guitars, drums, bells, heavy basslines, and choirs. It’s like an orgy of hard rock, fantasy, folk, and opera, with a few eerie and tranquil ambient tracks when things are calm. It’ll definitely make you ready to take on hordes.
The level designs give you room to be creative. Create a killbox where everything gets obliterated, or set up a giant maze of physics traps that slams everything into an I-will-make-you-disappear wall? Your choice.
The DLC doesn’t just add new levels, but new enemies as well. And what do new enemies mean? New challenges. Enjoy your water and fire golems.
There’s an endless mode and no trap limit; all you have to do is get enough coins. You do the math.

The Neutral:

The sorceress is voiced by the same person who voices Lilith in Borderlands.
While both characters are viable, I wish that I had chosen the War Mage (Max). The tar trap alone makes him the better choice.

The Bad:

I don’t remember the game actually explaining the trap types or the mechanics related to that.
Get a disconnect in co-op? The game is over. Better make sure your connection is stable and there are no storms on the way.
It needed a way to create and search for online lobbies to play with randoms.

Pro Tips:

There are 6 types of trap/weapon effects in the game, some(*) of which have perks that change their type, and some of these types cancel each other out. The 6 types are:[olist]
Bleed: Dwarf*, Grinder*, Spike Ttrap*, and Wall Blades*.
Chill: Arrow Wall*, Decoy*, Ice Vent*, and Steam Trap*.
Fire: Archer*, Arrow Wall*, Bear Trap*, Brimstone, and Floor Scorcher.
Freeze: Bear Trap*, Decoy*, and Ice Vent.
Snare: Acid Sprayer* and Spike Trap*.
Stun: Autoballista*, Bear Trap*, Haymaker*, Paladin*, Pounder*, Push Trap*, Shock Zapper*, and Swinging Mace*.
When you take into consideration the types of effects and effect cancelling (freeze cancels fire and stun, etc.), there are 3 different setups you can go with for maximum points and profit:
Bleed, fire, slow, and stun.
Bleed, chill, slow, and stun.
Bleed, chill, frozen, and slow. (Best for Sorceress.)
Use the crossbow. Headshots count.
Don’t overlook the stone staff.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. The faults mainly lie in coop. I wish it were easier to play with other people and that a disconnect didn’t mean game over, but I guess that’s only an issue if you are trying to play a long game of endless with someone or you have connection issues. I mainly played solo and got a lot of hours out of this game, so it was worth it.

really fun game, but it wont let you save ur progress if you have mods installed, which makes it pointless to use mods, and because its not that hard of a game, you cant use mods that make it harder cuz it dont save...... and because of this, its a no from me dawg

I tried playing Orcs Must Die! 3 on Google Stadia and enjoyed it a lot. I checked my Steam library and found out I already own the older versions which are just as fun! I don't know why I waited this long to play this game... it's awesome! I never thought setting traps and watching orcs die could be this entertaining.

In my opinion, the best co-op tower defense game out there. No contest.
Trying to tackle the game's more difficult challenges with a friend is the most fun I have ever had with a game.

My only gripe is the cheap move by the devs of blocking certain achievments behind DLC, making it impossible to 100% with just the base game.

Amazing co-op game, I seriously can't get enough of it (I have owned both Orcs Must Die and Orcs Must Die 2 for a few years and I frequently go back to playing them).
The traps you can use on the orcs are very entertaining >:D

It's over the top in the way they attempt to sell you this game, but it's very fitting. I started co-op, thinking I was going to hate the game, but it's super fun. So fun that I spent the time to do the 50 wave achievement, and let me tell you, that was tiring after wave 25, let alone twice that. Anyways, there's something satisfying about throwing orcs off a cliff edge, or charming the big guys to murderface the little ones. It's a defense strategy game, and doesn't disappoint.

I first started the campaign of this game in October 2015, it's now April 2020 and I have finally finished the campaign. This game is good enough that I come back every 2-3 years to complete a bit more of this game.

This Game Is An Amazing Tower Defense Game. Aside From Minor Placement errors as of writing this i can't think of anything about this game i don't like aside from it only having two player multiplayer.

What the @#$% is wrong with the mouse acceleration glitch? Game been out for years and still hasn't been fixed. Makes the game unplayable.

Look at many forums but no solution was ever found/worked.

Seems like an easy fix, but whatever.
Loved the first game, sadly the glitch is unbearable.

I got this game years ago, played it for a bit and put it in the back burner. I finally restarted playing it and had forgotten how fun this franchise was. Shame finding out that after all these years, the developers of this game did not put anything else out.

Highly recommended, if you are looking for something new. Spend a few bucks on it during a sale. Will be worth it

I'll start with saying that I love this game, my husband and I play it together and its great.
However, it honestly crashes roughly half the time we play it. We have good internet and we've been able to play a number of other co-op games together but OMD2 crashes way way too often.
Its to a point that we're considering never playing it again because of the constant frustration of being on the last wave of baddies, doing well then getting disconnected and crashing.

This game rocks, but there is a word of warning: the co-op right now is BAD as far as lag, disconnects, ect. My wife and I enjoy playing a variety of other online co-op games and don't really have any problems, but for some reason this wonderful little game disconnects us about half the time we play. It's frustrating... but we still love the game. Buyer beware! :-)

Brilliant tower defense game. Lot's of equipment, weapons, traps to go with, small witty dialogue, most levels well crafted. But, as the strength of this game relies on co-op, the quality of connection is absolutely awful. Does not matter whether both of you are in same network or no, there is very noticeable high ping at all times, but that's not the worst part, the disconnects is what's dreading everything. Totally random disconnects that make you lose all your progress late in the level or even worse - in endless mode.

The game is great if you want to play alone, but as co op makes this game much better, I can't recommend it due to the fact that devs did not fix disconnect issue for years.
