STARWHAL: Just The Tip is kind of a big deal. Or at least it thinks so. The game has already been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of players! And it's been strutting its stuff at all sorts of events.

Inspired by countless couch-gaming gatherings over the decades, we wanted to bring something competitive, creative, and immediately fun to the table. Our original prototype was conceived and developed in 48 hours with focus entirely on these areas. STARWHAL: Just the Tip is a simulation of dreams in an ocean of the mind.

es ist ein ganz gutes spiel doch es hat viele sachen die ich nicht so gut finde wie das man immer zu zweit sein muss und nicht einfach gegen einen bot kämpfen kann

Crazy physics-based jousting game featured unicorn-dolphins.

This is a first impression review. Only played solo.

Physics in games have spawned a a lot of games the last decade. They aren't nominations for the real classics, yet can provide some easy entertainment.
Starwhal uses momentum to fling yourself towards your destination. The levels have a set time for medals, and the platinum times are pretty tight. With a bit of training and luck everyone can beat those times.

I had fun the short time I played this. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying this, but if you own it already, might want to give it a go.
I can't comment about multiplayer. If I'd try a silly mp game I would pick Gang Beasts.

Looking 4ward 2 torturous nonsensical insanity w/ some pals????

Only cons really is that the controls have 0 sense n wish there was multiplayer online so it would be more accessible especially w/ long distance pals on Steam.????

⚠️ Achievements very difficult. If ur the type 2 get easily frustrated ooor don't enjoy playing lvls over n over again don't bother with this it's very masochistic⚠️

Mano a mano extreme fencing time warping extravaganza. Each time we play two hours pass by in 15 minutes. Snake-like reflexes meet steady hands. Pleasant fishy aftertaste. Zorro is proud of you for checking this out.

Enjoyed a native Linux client through Steam Play Together with two friends on keyboard and myself on Steam Controller. No issues other than no apparent way of connecting the 4th player, should the necessity arise.

I first played the demo on my browser with my big bother and fell in love
it's great for a quick play with friends and with some weed it's the best laugh I had in a while

Seems to no longer be supported. It is fun, but not everything works and no replies from developers on questions you have about technical problems, bugs and other bad stuff.

Starwhal is one of my go-to couch multiplayer games. It's so easy to explain the rules and the controls are very easy to pick up. The nuances of the game give it a real depth too so it's as enjoyable the 50th time as the first.

Bacon roll Leia is totally OP though.

Why recommended:

Nice little game with lots of cute Narwahls.
This is a great couch game, as controls and mechanics are easy and you can sometimes win with luck alone, so lesser skilled friends can still enjoy it :)

So if you're looking for a colorful local only (!) multiplayer game for literally breaking your friends hearts, definetly give it a try.

+ Colorful Graphics
+ Easy to learn controls
+ Still a luck component, so lesser skilled players still stand a chance -> MP friendly!
+ Hearts everywhere!

0 Sound is so-so. Quite nice, but way too repetitive. Goes great with my own electronic music library though :)
0 Can't tell about keyboard support, only played it with controller. But guess keyboard might suck as when comparing analog stick to controller DPad.
0 Single player challenge maps somewhat nice with different obsacles and later ones pretty hard. But at least for me still not that entertaining. You might feel differnt, though.

- AI. It's fine for classic mode with basic maps and for a basic training. But they don't really work with some of the game modes and maps containing lava and such.

Don't buy if:

* You neither have friends to play this with locally (only!)...
* ... nor like repeating levels to beat your highscores and collecting medals/achievements-
* You do not like Narwahls.

What a glorious age we live in, when games like this exist. If you like playing local multiplayer games with friends (Nidhogg, Gang Beasts, Worms, Towerfall), this is a must. LOLs guaranteed.

I got this game during beta and let me tell you: I can't imagine not having this game in my life.

I have played this at parties with my friends, where it is a smashing hit and a great ice-breaker and I have played it by myself with one hand pretending to be a random CPU player and one hand actually trying. My girlfriend loves the game, and it's hard not to! You can dress your narwhal as anything you could want (like jedi knights, burritos, and more!!), and as far as entertainment goes, this game is second to none.

My one request is that later on online playing be incorporated (for all of us who lack frequent human contact).
