Super Meat Boy ist ein Plattform-Spiel, in dem Sie als animierter Fleischkubus versuchen, Ihre Freundin (die zufälligerweise aus Bandagen zusammengesetzt ist) vor einem bösartigen Babyfötus im Aufzug in einem Einmachglas zu retten.

Unser Held wird Wände überwinden und Meere von Sägen durchkreuzen, durch einstürzende Höhlen und Pfützen rostiger Nadeln eilen, um seine Rettungsmission zu bestehen. Super Metal Boy erinnert an die Schwierigkeitsgrade von NES-Titeln wie Mega Man 2, Ghosts and Goblins und Super Mario Bros. 2 (die japanische Edition) und bietet ein geradliniges, unkompliziertes Plattform-Erlebnis der schnellen Reaktionen.

Nicht nur eins meiner absoluten Lieblings Spiel sondert auch der Einzigen wo es richtig Spaß macht sich so mit diesen Spiel zu Quehlen und nach gefühlt Tausenden versuchen ein Level zu Schaffen.

some of the most fun i have had playing a computer game in a long time. i cannot believe it took me this long to play it. i really wish i had gotten my stuff together 10 years ago and played it. top notch game, mario on steroids.

this game has taught me a lot. it taught me that if you try and try again, you'll eventually succeed.
it also taught me taught me that suicide is always an option.

Apparently it's a really good platformer according to a lot of people.
I just don't think so. Played light and dark world finishing Salt Factory, and just wasn't having fun.
Not because of the difficulty; I perfected HM1, HM2, done LASO runs on Halos, and am in the process of iron manning every single Celeste chapter; and I'm almost done. I KNOW difficulty.
But I also know frustration. This game is just frustrating. I had fun playing all those difficult games, but I did not have fun playing this one.
Meatboy is a nightmare to control. He slips and slides all over the place. And the worst part is that most of this game doesn't revolve around long sections of going really fast; it's usually slow and precise. It feels like they made a game around a character that it doesn't work for.
Other characters don't resolve the issue (as far as I got). They're either clones of Meatboy with slight changes, or completely awful to control (worse than Meatboy) like Naira or whatever the fish's name is.
Environmental danger hitboxes like saws and salt have hitboxes that seem to extend outside what the actual geometry looks like, resulting in deaths that feel like they aren't my fault but the game's.

Don't really have much to say unlike my other reviews. Game isn't fun.

Easy to learn Hard to master is this game in just 6 words
Its easy to get controlling your little slab of meat but mastering him is hard.
Ive played for about 80 hours and about 10 of those hours are from dying and learning
Dying isnt the games fault its yours, its also a teaching lesson
If you dont like rage games dont get this
If you like them go ahead

Great design, responsive controls, difficulty is pretty much perfect, you will fail a lot, but you nearly always feel like it's your fault rather than the game being unfair. Meaty platforming goodness.

A simple yet fun game with an amazing soundtrack. It's an extremely challenging platformer with over 300 levels. It also has a level editor, but let's be honest--community-made levels aren't very good. If you want to master pixel perfect controls, and you're ok with being stuck on a level for over an hour, play this game, it's definitely worth it.

Ah by the way 10/10 highly recommended game, lots of fun and a nice challenge, the music is also good so it will make your way IN THIS TORTURE, i mean, in your adventure more enjoyable, the gameplay is solid, everytime you die you will know that WAS YOUR FAULT FOR NOT GETTING GOOD AT THE GAME, THEN YOU WILL DIE AND DIE OVER AND OVER, but sooner or later, you will pass that level THAT WAS MAKING YOUR SUFFER FOR HOURS and the satisfaction feeling will recomfort you (LIES)

I have cultivated a complicated relationship with Super Meat Boy and its 4-5 hour campaign. I picked it up after loving Celeste, and I found myself frustrated with Meat Boy's comparatively slippery controls, longer levels, and dated aesthetic. That said, Meat Boy is nothing if not fun to control. While other platforming heroes like Mega Man and Shovel Knight steer with razor precision, maneuvering Meat Boy feels like trying to steer a car hurtling down the highway. Every button press has irreversible outcomes on his path through the air, and few games match how it feels to fly through levels in Super Meat Boy. Team Meat have also outdone themselves, by including not one, but TWO stellar soundtracks in this game.

Do be aware, this game peaks close to, but not at, its end. The 4th world of 6 is where it peaks before tapering off into longer, more meandering levels that can overstay their welcome. If you love precision platformers, challenging games, or the edgy art style, you have to play this game. Otherwise, I'd save it for a rainy day.

This game is hard. Like really really hard. The kind of hard that makes you want to break things out of frustration. It is also extremely satisfying, well designed, and fun. There are levels that you feel are a bit unfair, but most of the time you fail because you just need to git gud. If you like that kind of sadistic difficult gameplay, this is your jam.

an excruciatingly hard game that will push you patience to the limit. it requires lighting fast reflexes, questioning whenever this was created as a torture device. regardless this is the most fun ive ever got out of a game.

an easy to learn, difficult to master game with a host of guest characters and a whole bunch of replay incentive. one of the smoothest and most responsive platformers i have ever played.

beaten it twice on console and Steam, and it has been incredibly difficult both times, but the rewards are well worth it. trust me, once you can double jump the game changes in huge ways.

highly recommended.

This is one of the games which made the indie subgenre what it is nowaday. Magnificent platform game, with an excellent difficulty curve, one of the best level design I've ever enjoyed (and suffered), perfect controlls, a very nice soundtrack and a geniune artistic style.

In short, if you like the platform games, this is a truly masterpiece, a game as amazing as challenging.

Very recommended (especially if you're a patient person/you don't rage too easily).

I played Super Meat Boy in the Past and its always a Fun Platformer to play through, it has a good Difficulty Spike every World and is also good for Casual Play. If you want a real Challenge you can try to get everything in the Game it is very Hard. I would recommend this Game to everyone that is a Fan of challenging Platformers, cause it is a Joy to Play and you can always come Back and Collect some more Stuff to make your Game more Complete.

Super Meat Boy is a really hard game. When I first tried it years ago, I didn't like how slippery the movement felt. After revisiting and finishing the game now though, I am amazed at just how much this movement and character grew on me. There is a reason that only about 6% of people who have played this game have made it to the end: you will die a lot. But it is through this journey of failure that the game rewards your perseverance. Upon successfully completing a level, every attempt is shown at the same time. This makes for a uniquely satisfying replay that celebrates your victory despite countless deaths. All of the level design, physics, and things that can kill you are neatly presented with the game's funny but light story. Since every run is timed, part of this experience will be a dream challenge for hardcore speedrunners. With plenty of content to master beyond the regular chapters, there really is something for everyone here. If you love platformers that are easy to understand but have the potential to present some of the greatest challenges to the dedicated few, Super Meat Boy is the pinnacle of that. Game on.

This game is great for people who enjoy feeling anger. It is very difficult and can feel brutal at times.
I never beaten the game, however, I have made it up to Hell and I am kinda dreading it.
People who are very good at platforming games like Donkey Kong and Mega Man might enjoy this game.
Meat Boy is slipery tho.

19 hours into this game and I have to say, game isnt for everyone. I think its fantastic platforming that keeps you on your edge. All it takes is a single mistake to ruin everything. Perfect for perfectionist assholes. You too can be an asshole as well, so play the game.

One of the best 2D Platformers ever made. Fun game, with good character and level design. Super Meat Boy has an amazing sound track and is what IMO inspired and kick-started all Indie 2D Platformers that came after. Definite buy if you love Platformers and aren't afraid of a challenge

Super Meat Boy is a 2D platformer where you play as an animated a piece of meat who’s trying to save his girlfriend.

It is a very charismatic game which presents the old world and stage design, offering the player diverse levels set in diverse themes. The gameplay is simple, fun and well planned. The way each challenge is made is interesting, all worlds have unique characteristics, and the difficulty gradually increases. The sound effects are also satisfactory.

This is a game that pays tribute to the classics and it is recommended for fans of platform games looking for a good challenge. However, the game sins due to the lack of innovation and to be slightly monotonous.

Everything about this game is very addictive. The difficulty spike can be a bit too much for a lot of players but if you are good at difficult platformers this game can still be a challenge while also being extremely enjoyable (for the most part)

Super Meat Boy

Small difficult platforming levels where you are timed and rated.
Your corpses smear meat on the mechinations the slew you.
Once a level is wrapped it replays all attempts at once for an epic meat grind show.
Standard rescue the princess plotline.
Steam Leaderboards for bragging rights or tears, as with all leaderboards.

I LOVE THIS $#!%. Best music i have ever heard in quite a while. Very good level design. WARNING! THIS GAME IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. ONLY PLAY IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH DYING ALOT. Despite its extreme difficulty, it is the best platformer i have ever played. totally worth every single penny in my opinion.

What's worse than Hell? Double Hell! But seriously this game is a absolute classic and one of the smoothest and most rewarding platforming games in the indie scene, if not the best, it's certainly on the more stressful side but it's one hell of a blast to get through for a while but there really isn't all that much past what there is on the surface, what you see is what you get for the most part, It's a simple and neat challenge and if you haven't gone through it then i'd recommend it if you're looking for something tough, and I do mean tough, I have a pretty long history with this game hahah.

This platform is a masterpiece of physics and input sensitivity.

As a person who loves challenging games and 2d platformers it's almost like Super Meat Boy was made for me. The controls are extremely fluid and smooth, the levels are extremely fun and the sheer amount of them offers even more to the replay factor. All the bosses are really well designed and are a very underrated part of the game in my opinion, and The Kid's warp zone will forever haunt my dreams in the best way possible. Adding in the all the unlokcable characters, the dark world levels, the glitch levels, and the bandages as collectables this game is one hell of a task to 100%. Super Meat Boy gives hours of replayability and teaches you what the true meaning of insanity is in process, doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Highly Recommended.
