SYREN is designed exclusively for VR.

You awaken into chaos, a lab in ruins; creaking under the immense pressure of the sea. Systems are failing everywhere, but that is the least of your worries as something is down here with you… something that escaped. With the station reactor about to go critical, you have limited time to navigate out of the lab and evacuate the facility.

SYREN is a story about a scientist obsessed with eugenics who builds an underwater research facility, above an ancient lost city, to conduct horrific experiments in an attempt to recreate the lost species of ‘Syrens’ – the legendary inhabitants of the civilisation that once existed in the ruins below. But now, the experiments have gotten loose and they stand between you and your evacuation.

In this exciting stealth and survival game, which fully supports Vive controllers and Oculus Touch, you must solve puzzles to progress through a series of immersive room scale environments and always remain alert for the deadly Syrens who are hiding in the shadows.

Also nach dem Update (einen Tag später :-) )muss ich sage dass mir das spiel recht gut gefällt.
Die Grafik finde ich wirklich stimmig (spiel auf ULTRA) und die Steuerung
mit Oculus Touch funktioniert auch recht gut.
Wer Alien Isolation toll fand, dem müsste dieses Spiel auch gefallen.
Vom prinzip her ist dieses Spiel diesem sehr ähnlich kommt vom
Umfang und der Präsentation, wie viele VR-Spiele, aber nicht ran.
Preis, Leistung finde ich soweit in Ordnung. Von daher einen Daumen hoch :-)

Ich komme erst einmal zu den positiven Punkten.
-die Grafik ist in Ordnung wenn die Sachen nicht allzu weit weg sind
-tolle Atmosphäre mit dieser Unterwasserstation kommt ein wenig Bioshock-feeling auf
-das Gegnerdesign ist echt gut gelungen und vorallem mal was neues

das wars auch leider schon mit den Positiven Dingen an dem Spiel.

Die Steuerung ist sehr schlecht. Wenn ich Gegenstände aufhebe, macht man das bei der Vive mit dem Trigger und muss dann auch noch die ganze Zeit gedrückt halten, weil sonst der Gegenstand runterfällt. Den Feuerlöscher kann ich so beispielsweise überhaupt nicht vernünftig benutzen weil das Trackpad sowohl zum laufen als auch zum aktivieren des Gegenstands verwendet wird.
Die Grafik ist auf Entfernung sehr verpixelt/verschwommen.
Es gibt kein Speichersystem. Zumindest in der Ersten halben Stunde in der ich gespielt habe, habe ich nichts gefunden.
Ich kann das Spiel zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt leider nicht weiterempfehlen.
Hoffentlich kommen da bald ein Paar Patches.

Tried it and couldn't get past the problems. Game is not finished is what I can say. Its another vr with alot of potential but is rushed out the door. More time spent could have made this great. It definitely has the vibe of alien isolation which is awesome but again its just not finished. A.I spawn random in front of you for immediate death thats unavoidable and have to start over. Clipping through walls when locomotion because I hate teleporting. Bad textures unless you use ultra settings. Dont even try anything below like many have said its super blurry without it making it almost unplayable or enjoyable.

Again more time spent and these coulda have been a great vr title.

Were all craving vr content but we all don't need a bad game too.

EDIT: The Dev has seemed to make the graphics at least bearable but still not perfect, the anti aliasing is still dreadful.

The game mechanics are a complete joke, there is none. It's complete trial and error to get through a room, no skill or quick thinking involved. The animations are hilariously bad and makes you lose all sense of immersion. The game mechanics need serious work before I would recommend this.
