The Mean Greens: Plastic Warfare is a fast-paced, third person shooter that features tiny army soldiers in massive environments. With fast and easy matchmaking, your green or tan team of plastic men can test their abilities in an up to 5 VS. 5 player battle. 10 distinct maps and gameplay modes allow you to see the world from a different perspective and explore vibrant new surroundings as well as the dangers that come with them. Nun denn, Nun denn, Nun denn wo fange ich hier denn an. Ich habe dieses Spiel vor 2 Jahren von meinem besten Freund geschenkt bekommen. Er dachte dies sei eine dumme jedoch lustige Idee, wir durften feststellen, dass dieses Spiel alles andere als dumm ist. Durch den Kauf und das Spielen, wurden sehr viele schöne und lustige Momente beschert. Die Anfangs lächerlich wirkende Grafik entpuppt sich schnell als abwechslungsreich und charismatisch. Dieses Spiel ist für jedermann und Frau natürlich auch, die mal wieder eine schöne und abwechslungsreiche Spielerfahrung mit seinen Freunden teilen will.
In Toto bleibt zu sagen, dass ich mich auf viele neue Updates freue und auch auf die vielen neuen und weiteren Erinnerungen, die ich sammeln darf. Macht weiter so und allen viel Freude am spielen.

Ich finde es ist ein sehr gutes Spiel da man in verschiedenen Welten (Maps) verschiedene Spielmodusse hat, es ist zwar blöd das immer weniger das Spiel spielen und es keinen Story Modus mit KI gibt falls man alleine spielen will. Es bietet trotzdem Abwechslung und Spielspaß. Wenn man zum Beispiel eine Runde Gewonnen oder Verloren hat gibt es immer die meiner Meinung Coolen Endbilder. Alles in einem ein Super Spiel.

Ziemlich cooler Shooter. Die Maps sind wirklich ultra gut. Mal etwas ganz anderes. Leider spielen es oft zu wenige. Aber wenn ihr genug Freunde mitbringt macht es durchaus sehr viel Spaß

Ein super game für games zwischendurch. Call of Duty trifft Toy Story und es macht mega Spaß. Man sollte hier natürlich kein Waffenbalancing oder ähnliches erwarten, da es sich nur um ein kleines Game von kleinen Entwicklern handelt. jedoch empfehlenswert besonders wenn man es mit Freunden spielt

Für ca. einen Euro im Angebot kann ich nicht meckern. Es ist ein solider Third-Person Multiplayer Shooter in der Welt der Plastiksoldaten aller Army Men. Die meiste Zeit spielt man Team Deathmatch.

Der Soundtrack ist recht witzig und cool gemacht und die Grafik ist auch recht hübsch und stimmig. Die Animationen und das Movement sind aber nicht so gut umgesetzt wurden. Wirkt teilweise sehr grob und abgehackt. Es gibt auch nur eine handvoll Karten, die zwar Spaß machen, aber wo nicht alles voll ausgereift ist. Die Ballphysik auf dem Kicker ist einfach grottenschlecht, wie auch die Fahrzeugsteuerung der Jeeps im Sandkasten. Objekte, die sich auf eine Strecke bewegen, wie der Zug oder das Hamsterrad funktionieren aber einwandfrei. Zumindest habe ich keine sehr großen Bugs im Spiel entdeckt.

Es gibt verschiedene Waffen, jedoch haben alle Spieler auch sofort alle Waffen. Da hätte ich mir ein Klassensystem, wie bei Battlefield gewünscht. Ansonsten ist es halt ein typisches Multiplayerspiel. Soll heißen: wenn keine Spieler da sind, dann ist es halt tot. Meistens findet man Abends immer Spieler oder wenn das Spiel mal wieder im Angebot ist. Inzwischen wurden zwar auch Bots nachgepatcht, aber gegen menschliche Spieler macht es einfach mehr Spaß. Zumindest kann man jetzt mit den Bots leere Plätze füllen.

Das Spiel ist schon solide gemacht und kein billiger Schrott, allerdings hebt es sich bis auf das Thema mit den Plastiksoldaten nicht wirklich weiter von anderen Multiplayerspielen dieser Art ab. Ich fand es ganz lustig für die Feiertage. 6/10

Or you do crossplay with ps4 player so the last pc community still can play with other People
Like not gonna lie always when i login there is only one lobby with Players(and after one round its gone cuz ppl also leave)

Mit Abstand eines der besten Multiplayer Spiele im Niedrigpreissegment (1€)
Die Steuerung ist leicht und simpel gehalten. Die Waffen Auswahl ist für jeden Spieler gleich (Sturmgewehr, Schrotflinte, Scharfschützengewehr, Panzerfaust und Flammenwerfer). Man muss diese auch nicht freischalten oder verbessern, somit hat jeder Spieler die gleiche Chance. Die Munition kann verbraucht werden, regeneriert sich aber nach der Zeit von selbst, somit ist es nicht möglich ständig die Panzerfaust zu schießen die so gut wie immer One Hit ist.

Zu den Karten, sie sind sehr abwechslungsreich und liebevoll gestaltet. Jede Karte hat dabei ein eigenes Ziel oder Spielmodus TDM, DM, Capture the Flag, einen Ort einnehmen oder einen Dinosaurier auftauen. Manche Karten erinnern sehr an ToyStory

Leider bietet das Spiel nur wenig Anreize es weiter zu spielen, da es kein Level System/Ranglisten oder Objekte zum Freischalten gibt.

Zu beachten ist das die Community noch sehr klein ist, also würde ich euch empfehlen nachmittags oder abends zu spielen, da es sich bei diesem Spiel um ein reines Multiplayer Spiel handelt.

Purchased this when on sale back in 2019. Played it with friends for a total of around 80 minutes. It was good fun, but that's all I ever got out of it. The game is now more than six years old... It's probably ok for it at this point to be suffering from reduced player numbers.

But that's probably not good enough reason to downvote the game. Games have a life-cycle, technology moves on. It is a good fun game, more fun with your friends, but there are now other titles which are just as good, if not better... Go try some of those.

I like the concept of the game. Brings me back to when I played with the toy soldiers in the backyard. The maps are very well designed and the controls are easy enough to get a hold of. I may have only played less then an hours worth but I do recommend this game to people who want that nostalgia. Some of the games they have are entertaining. The Jurassic map I highly love. Who doesn't want to be a raptor and hunt everything down. The one Con I have with this game is the lack of players. Most if not all the servers are empty. We need this game to come alive.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. This game is as dead as my late grandfather, well I can see the game this was trying to be and it is not a bad game by any means, it has no player base and bot lobbies are in your future if you play it. Well the cartoonish game play and setting is fun that is the only good thing about it.

The game is good, I bought it for 0.81 euro and I think I would be okay even paying the full price for it.

You will see other people complain about it having a tiny userbase. That is true, but for me this is not a serious issue because I played with the bots and it was fun. They are not very intelligent bots, they are at the same level of the old Unreal Tournament games. They run around and shoot whatever enemies they see. It's okay for me, I bought this game to have fun not to challenge myself.

Whenever I don't like a game, no matter how much it cost, I ask for a refund. I won't ask for a refund for this game, it's good. It's fun.

This is a genius idea for a game but the playerbase is dead and there's not really any reason to play after a few hours. It desperately needs a sequel or a complete overhaul update but I don't see either of those happening any time soon.

yea its a good game, not a lot of players most servers are empty. BUT in saying that there is always a private game running. i just found one in aus with 45 ping. Im not guaranteeing you will find a game during the week but probs on the weekend. I respect the devs for keeping updates coming after being out for so long. Gun play is pretty arcade like but pretty fun for a couple of hours. Right now on sale for 1.50 aud ide say its defo worth that. Cheaper then a potato gem sandwich.

Used to collect these little green army men when I was a lad. I had about 300 of them.
One day I put them all in a glass bowl in the microwave until they were a hot sticky mess of green goop, and then I poured that stuff all over my pubes.
I have no idea why I did that but it was worth it for a cool scar I can show my nephew.

There will never be another game as good as The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare. Never in my entire life have I enjoyed a shooter as much as this one. Nothing brings me more joy than playing Kitchen Run in a full lobby of randoms and witnessing pure and utter chaos. World peace would be easily achieved if everyone on Earth owned a copy of this game. This game could cost 100 US dollars and I would still buy 12 copies just to play with my friends and support the developers. I urge every single person that may happen upon this review to buy the game to not only increase the unfortunately dwindling player base, but to also experience the greatest indie shooter of their lifetime.

This game is diamond in a coal mine. Only major problem is that there isn't a huge player base but if you buy and play it then that could change. It's a 3rd person sandbox shooter with all the love and attention from a not so big dev team. This game has been out for ages and continues to get support every few months.
You really can't go wrong with this game because its so cheap and one hell of a blast.

Honestly game is underrated. Game is amazing! so much fun to be had here if you don't take it seriously. just a great mindless fun shooter to run around in. caught it on sale but def worth full price as well. Only negative is dead community. but i will get a few people here and there. Game has so much potential just needs the support.

Really fun game to play... with friends, the worse part is that it receives updates once a year or two and ppl leave the game. With a stable community of players it's really good, but it needs more dedication from the devs.

Fun, cheap, lots of maps, polished, and good looking, excellent music and FX, and you can even play it on LAN/Hamachi.

Hermoso juego si te estas introduciendo a los multiplayers y al gaming. Entretenido para todas las edades, traen muy buenos recuerdos cuando uno jugaba con los soldaditos. La idea de los personajes en un mundo gigantesco es una de las tematicas que mas me fascinan.

The game reminds me in a way of the modded house themed maps that you could play in Return to Castle Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. The idea of the game is pretty good and seems to be fun to play with friends, the problem is... THE GAME IS DEAD, nobody is playing and that is a BIG problem, you enter to a match where only 4 persons are playing (actually just 1 puts effort in the game xD). I think that the game should be Free to play so people catch interest in. I repeat, the idea and gamemodes seems cool and interesting, but if no one is playing... makes no sense toa MULTIPLAYER game.

La idea es muy buena y parece super entretenido para jugar con amigos un rato, pero el juego esta muerto, casi nadie esta jugando y eso le quita muchisimo interes, entrar a partidas que se supone podrian ser para 20 personas y que solo haya 4 de los cuales uno solo le pone ganas. Creo que para que mejore deberia ser Free to Play. Repito, la idea y los modos del juego estan muy buenas e interesantes, pero si no hay nadie jugando... un juego MULTIJUGADOR deja de tener sentido.

Truly an underrated and under appreciated game. The levels are adorable and the menus are quite straightforward. This game usually goes down to $0.99 on sales so i will buy multiple copies and send them to friends just so they will play with me. Best played with a large group of people you know, I know that can be hard to come by but it is a game best with friends!

When I think of video games I think of The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare

I sunk so many hours into this game just because the maps are so captivating, the multiplayer servers are so good and it really makes you feel like an army man

I constantly think back to triple A games like Sneak Thief that couldn't even come close to the amount of development and technological edge that this game produces.

Keep up the good work, and Tan Army for life!

This game is so much fun with friends and solo!
Devs have added bots to the game, so all these negative reviews about can't play cuz it's dead are now null and void. Sort of, the servers are still pretty empty, but if you have some buddies you can have a lot of fun with bots.
I should also mention you can play solo with the bots. They'll probably embarrass you though XD

Bought the game for $0.49 on a sale, it's not even worth that. The gameplay is fine, but the servers are completely dead (0 players online) and when you're lucky enough to find one or two people to play with the lag and rubber-banding makes it unplayable.

Love the idea of the game, the map designs are fantastic but sadly the weapons are about useful as a chocolate fire guard. The shotguns don't do much damage and the flame thrower seems to not throw flames. There isn't a lot of people playing so the game needs to be heavily discounted or free to play so it can attract more audience.

This game is not bad, there is nothing really majorly wrong with it except for its casual nature and its playerbase.

The gameplay is actually pretty fun but it is nothing more than very casual. Everyone has access to the same weapons (AR, shotgun, sniper, rocket launcher and flamethrower), there are a few different game modes and the maps are well done. I believe that the casual nature of the game is not gripping players to stay over long periods of time. After a couple hours, you pretty much saw everything this game has to offer and you realize there is not enough depth here to keep you playing over long periods of time. The devs announced that the game sold a million copies, yet there is usually less than 10 people playing at any given time. This is a pretty good indication that something is off. Even the games Discord LFG is not active.

If you have a group of friends that you could play this game with from time to time then sure, I would recommend it. But otherwise, it is not necessary, you may skip it.

The music really sells this game for me.
Every level has it's own theme song and I never get tired of any of them!

I love Army Men and with a deep discount this was an easy purchase for me. Very cute graphics that fit the Army Men theme left a positive initial impression. Unfortunately, the make-up wears off after a couple of hours and you are left with a very one-dimensional shooter.

k.... it says i got 30 minutes at time of review and yes that's true. XP

However, I surprised by this.
First, not sure how many of you had a N64 and Army Men Sarge's Heros. This is exactly like that for the most part. Shooter themed around army men toy soldier.s. Pretty much what this game boils down to. Difference being this is only multiplayer. That's ok.
you can tell it's a low budget game. For it being that it is much better than similar low budget games.

The graphics are nice and clean. Everything runs smooth and seamless.

low point is. it being what it is. there's not many people on the servers.
However, there was enough I was able to play a few matches in my short time playing.
Which brings me to my point that i could see myself playing this more.. If only to play a few quick matches. while something else downloads or i'm cooking.

if it's on sale grab it like i did. 2 bucks.

A good idea and potential was wasted due to unstable gameplay. Everything is so fast and unbalanced that if you play more than 10 minutes, you get pain in your eyes and head. If the movement speed of the characters and the damage of the weapons are slightly reduced, the game slows down and becomes a bit more playable.

Fun goofy arcade style game.

The game is quite enjoyable, with well designed maps and modes as well as having different character models to play with. There is five different weapons to play with with thankfully no class system.

Now to the downside there is a lack of players to enjoy the game with, there are bots who never miss which starts to become tiresome. weapon damage seems inconsistent one moment a rifle will be a pea shooter the next its the Golden gun.

Overall the game is great to play casually but with hardly any players this would be a game you will have to play with friends. Quite a shame as it's a hidden ace of a game.

Great game. Except for the fact that there is only one full server (10 players), and that's on a good day at a very specific time. Community involvement and support has obviously dwindled to the point of nonexistence so it would be nice to see another concept from these guys instead of trying to generate new content for a dead horse.

This is possibly one of the best constructed games of the past decade. First off, the movement. How is it possible to make a game feel so outrageously fluid that it feels like I am gliding on god's buttery balls? Second, the story. There is no story, which means they couldn't have fucked it up. A+ in my book! Third, the operator selection. Although at first it seems to be a little overwhelming, you will begin to learn to only play Ash and Doc. The rest is up to you. Fourthly, 5 bar combos. Why can't all characters have a 5 bar combo if others, like Gohan Teen, have them? It's not very fun losing over half my health over a simple light auto combo into a quarter circle back rt and feeling pressured to switch out or pop sparking. Lastly, the little plastic fellahs are quite comedice and I like it. Very good.

PROS:
+ Fast-paced, highly mobile combat system which is tight and satisfying arcadey fun.
+ Very pretty visuals and a fun setting.
+ Good soundtrack.
+ Great variation in maps and gamemodes. Every level has a fun, interesting gimmick, such as vehicles on Sandbox, NPC skeletons to avoid on Halloween, bounce pads on Birthday, paratrooping in Picnic Panic, or one team playing as dinosaurs on Jurassic Plastic.
+ Perfectly captures the nostalgic feeling of playing with toys, and combines it with exciting battles.

CONS
- Weapons: One of the game's biggest flaws. There are only 6 weapons in the whole game, and out of these they all have very limited ammo, except for the Assault Rifle and the Flamethrower (which is weak). So, you spend the majority of your time using only the exact same Assault Rifle, with the other 5 weapons only serving to add to the action rather than being different playstyles in their own right. This is a problem for long term enjoyment.
- Population: If you live outside of Europe or America you may have difficulty finding a game with acceptable ping, though lag compensation is decent enough for this not to be a huge problem and you can always play with bots too.

If you're looking for something casual this is perfect. If you want something with depth and longevity you may be a bit disappointed.

Probably the most underrated shooter game on Steam. Adds new gameplay elements that actually make a shooter game tons of fun. If you play CSGO, PUBG or any other similar game - you are missing out! Taking up the mantle of the Army Men series that's been dormant for 10+ years, The Mean Greens is a casual multiplayer third person shooter in which you play as a toy soldier fighting to secure victory for either the tan or green team. This take on toy soldiers is much more lighthearted than something like Sarge's Heroes on the Dreamcast as you'll be playing in recreations of everyday settings such as living rooms and kitchens while listening to some really charming, cheery music evocative of things like Toy Story play in the background. There are lots of well detailed maps to play on and fun spins on old game modes such as a Payload-esque mode where you escort a hamster in a ball into its cage while defending it from the enemy, or a full size foosball match where you must kick the ball into your opponents' goal. Everything looks great and it really gives this whimsical feeling that no other multiplayer shooter does.

However, there are some sort of strange design choices or afterthoughts that sort of bug me. As far as I'm aware there is no way to switch teams in the game which is killer for a small game like this you and your friends pick up to play together. Also, you start every game with all 5 weapons available to you as soon as you spawn and their ammo replenishes on a cooldown system. An interesting idea for sure, but just sort of strange. How many games let you start out with a sniper rifle, shotgun, rocket launcher, and flamethrower right from the get go? Not necessarily a negative, but it felt like there was nothing to find on the map, no weapons to get excited about or things to unlock. One thing that sort of bugged me was how your soldier just gets shot so unceremoniously. No reaction from him, no gun sway applied to you, and then you just die a quiet death. I guess they're toys so it makes sense but it just comes off feeling unpolished.

Overall for 5$ (Even as low as 99 cents on sale) it's a fun game to hop on with your friends from time to time. There are developers spending millions of dollars and years and years developing games like this so at its best it's a fun diversion to your main stable of games, but the aesthetics and music give a fun vibe that I haven't seen in a shooter like this in a while. Plus, how many shooters can you play giant foosball in while you kill your enemies?

A great game with a simple premise. A huge amount of potential with great devs that interact with the community. Couldn't ask for more in such a cheap game. Highly recommend.

Bots in this game are really intelligent!!!They even know to jump around when shooting!I pick up this game again ever since there are bots and it feels really good!That will be better if bots support more modes.

AND THEY ADDED MORE MAPS.

Plz, make this your self isolation game. It's freaking incredible (esp if you liked cs_mice_final from CS)
