great story game, has multiple endings and different pathways depending on who you chose to accompany you on each mission so it has decent replayability as well.

Voice acting is great so you wont have to read out too much if you stream it.

Unavowed turned out to be pretty good despite my reservations. I avoided it for a while thinking the unvoiced main character and various backgrounds would detract from the story, but they really didn't. And while I didn't like it as much as Technobabylon or Primordia (which I should really finish one of these days), I did enjoy the story and characters. Totally worth it if you like Wadjet Eye's style of adventure game.

Undoubtedly, this is one of the more creative and polished point-and-click adventure games we'll ever come across. From its interesting plot to its unique twists, it sets out to bring everything that worked on old adventure games and make it truly shine with command of the genre breaking into new frontiers. And that's no exaggerated praise.

Its colorful cast of characters, who you can mix and match between missions, will keep surprising you with how they interact with your main character and with each other, and how they help you solve the many different puzzles with their own unique set of skills. It's one of the few games of its kind that actually has replayability value as, due to the various existing role-playing elements (party composition, decisions across different chapters, and your own character's origin backstory), every time you repeat the experience it will be quite different.

If that wasn't enough to make it tower over its peers, Unavowed's set pieces are also incredibly atmospheric. The backdrop of a rain-soaked New York has possibly never looked as detailed and tastefully arranged as this, with expert use of every trick in the book to make the mundane seep with hidden mysteries and shadowy conflicts, just waiting for your group to come across them. And as the rain pours, you hear those smooth tunes that fit perfectly a noir urban fantasy like this one. It adds a lot to the experience.

With just the right length, no cat mustache puzzles, and an incredible sense of empathy with the story's cast -- allies and villains alike -- Unavowed is a triumph of the genre and not only that. Give it a try and you won't regret it.

An excellent point'n'click, like in the good old days of the genre.

It's funny, witty, really mature, well-written, the voice acting is great, there's a huge amount of details put into the beautiful graphics, be it chara design or just decor.

I really loved it, the characters you immediately will love without being too cliche, the interactions between your friends even when nothing is happening, the different choices that matter. It leaves you wanting for more, bringing you into a whole new world and just like that, in a few hours, you are hooked!

I just wished it was longer but honestly, it reconciled me with the point'n'click genre that I left in the 90s, as many recent games feel lifeless. You can tell a lot of love and care has been poured into that game.

Disclaimer: I first completed this game on the Nintendo Switch

Dave Gilbert’s Wadjet Eye Games has a reputation for developing and publishing some of the best contemporary point and click adventures around, and Unavowed is no exception. If you’re a fan of Gilbert’s work then many of Unavowed’s elements will ring true: the authentic New York setting, the strong writing and sincere character work, the supernatural themes… It’s all here, effectively corralled into a bold, creative, and engrossing adventure.

As a point and click, Unavowed ticks every box you want, but it’s the bolder steps that make it such a rewarding experience.

Inaugurated as a newly appointed member of a secret society devoted to protecting New York from growing supernatural threats, you have four (and a sort-of fifth!) allies, each with their own peculiar talents, at your disposal.

Later in the game you have the opportunity to select two of the aforementioned four before setting off to unravel the next mystery, and each character allows for different solutions to the problems and puzzles you will face.

Better yet, they’re all well-written personalities, each one skilfully introduced by expanding your understanding of the worlds the Unavowed is meant to protect against. Although fire mages and jinn and ghost whisperers, they are all denizens of New York. They inhabit it, fully belonging to the superbly illustrated steamy alleys and gentrified suburbs. I just loved hanging out and exploring with the gang.

It's made all the more rewarding when the quests have been designed to challenge the characters, helping them to confront their pasts, their demons (metaphorical and otherwise), and grow.

Its best trick is served for last, and to say more would be to spoil a very brilliant twist. Moral choices are layered into the narrative, paving a path towards a finale that will, in effect, pass judgement on all you’ve done. But in a fantastical world of demons, monsters, and spirits, Unavowed knows exactly where true evil lies.

You should really play it and confront that evil yourself - this is one terrific piece of artistry.

Holyshhhh this is probably one of the best written point-and-click games I've ever played. The plot, the pacing, the decision-making (decisions that affect the story), the acting - all of it is so well done for such a small team. Like that writing talent man, there was never a dull moment. HIGHLY recommended!!

This is a charming old school point and click adventure game with modern sensibilities. Think Lucasarts meets urban fantasy. It's short (4-5 hours), and on the easy side, so you can finish it quickly, but unlike most adventure games, it incorporates some elements from RPG games. There are multiple companions, but you can only bring two at a time. Your approach to puzzle solving is entirely dependent on who your companions are at the time. This combined with multiple intros, endings, and chapter conclusions ensure this one will be replayed many times for achievement hunters. Very clever.

If point and click is your jam, this one's worth buying at full price, and is a must buy on sale.

There isn't much of a path that you choose, it just gives you the illusion of it. All the choices are of 2, either kill a monster, or let it live. Those are the two you get for every scenario. Picking characters just changes how you get to the final objective with slightly different actions taken. They aren't huge and doesn't change how the story line goes, the ending can be altered with how you speak with final person, not the actions you take in the game. Short and sad point click adventure game. Was expecting some difficulty with puzzles like King's Quest or better dialogue. You are lead by the nose and story is predictable with 2 generic Mary Sues as partners while all the men struggle with internal problems.

Unavowed is a fun and thought-provoking game with excellent character development and an interesting story line. I enjoyed the art and the different stories very much. The dialogue is first rate. However, as others have said, I don't know that I enjoyed the story enough to play out each branch again with the different characters. Still, it's a fantastic game that is more like a journey into an unseen, new world. Wanna get away? Buy this game. I highly recommend it.

I bought this game on a whim but didn't expect much from it... Fortunately, this is an absolute gem of a Point N Click adventure game. I am not that keen on low-res graphics, just a personal taste, however everything else was amazing from the story to music, voice acting to gameplay.

There were only two bits in the game where it felt as if the puzzles were a bit off. One was figuring out a code for the elevator the other was parts of Chinatown. However, the companions can provide advice when asked.
Even though I am not the most enthusiastic about supernatural elements in games, typically they are misused. Wadjet eye however put together a great story where nothing felt out of place, and dare I say it, I would love to see a sequel with more fleshed out parts even if it were side quests for the NPCS.

If you're looking for a descend adventure game then give this a go. Its with it at full price.

Please, bare with me here...I NEVER write reviews for anything (this is probably the third review I have ever written), but I feel like I need to write this one for so many reasons!!! I grew up playing the Telltale/Lucas Arts Series: Monkey Island. After discovering and playing those, I figured out that I have an infinite amount of love for Point and Click adventure games. After finishing that series, I really only played the other games made by either Lucas Arts or Telltale (Mostly because I thought they were the only creators of Point and Click games...until about a year ago, when I discovered there's an entire genre/world of Point and Click). Of course, I must also note: The Curse of Monkey Island will always be my fav, as it was the first Point and Click I ever played. Ok...NOW...with all of that being said, I recently discovered WADJET EYE GAMES and I am SO happy I did. I would recommend EVERY.SINGLE,GAME they sell. I have played all of their MAC/iOS compatible Point and Clicks, and I have yet to be (even slightly) disappointed. I had very high expectations going in as the Monkey Island games, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandago, etc. are some of the best games in the history of Point and Click; however, all of the games I have played from Wadjet Eye have been amazing. They have actually been so amazing that I can 100% say Wadjet Eye is at the top of my list, right there with the Telltale/Lucas Arts games. I 100% recommend purchasing and playing every game made by Wadjet Eye to anyone who likes (even those who kinda sorta like) Point and Click games.

Can't believe I had not played this before. So happy to have discovered this gem.
This is a proper story / character driven adventure game, the puzzles make sense and you don't feel like you are having to read the designer's mind for totally random senseless puzzles, or in need of a walkthrough, as you learn about the story, the skills of each character's and what you find around the environment, everything makes sense.
Really good game so far. I am only about 4 hours in, but looking forward to finish soon and also try other choices and see their consequences.
I am not going to go through Wadjet Eye's back catalogue happily.

Having previously only played Gemini Rue from Wadjet Eye, this was a very noticeable jump in overall quality (story excepted, I liked both). While point-and-click adventures are not amongst my favourite genres, this was really enjoyable (and giving off Dresden vibes, which also helped).
I also liked commentary mode, which gives a lot of interesting insights into game development.

A hidden gem that definitely worths your time.
The story, the lore, the character traits, the overall atmosphere and a pretty good fully voice acting - everything properly made! And there are some plot twist that were really amazing.
Add the choices matters and the options to re-play the game with other perspective, giving another role to your main protagonist - it's definitely a must buy even at full price!
Point and click puzzle-adventure lovers probably would find the puzzles difficulty OK, but for me, more used to story-rich games like LiS, Wolf Among Us, Detroit: becoming human, etc - were sometimes a little too hard and I admin I checked the walkthrough a few times ;)
I'm sure every kind of player can enjoy this game anyway, great immersion and likable characters.

It's not terrible but it wasn't great either. I was expecting more from this title. The graphics are great, I really enjoy the old Sierra/LucasArts visual style and point and click. But, the voice acting felt sub par, all the emotion/jokes/zingers were mostly emotionless. The characters were mostly shallow and predictable, along with the story.

The puzzles were just okay. They were neither too hard, nor were they too easy. Mostly this game feels like it was attempting to achieve something familiar and nostalgic, but just ended up being forgettable in pretty much every way for me.

I can't really recommend this game since there are better point and click titles out there from long past that still outshine this game by a mile.

Cracking fully voiced point n' click that took me right back. Relatively mature themes handled nicely with a Gaiman-esque 'American Gods' style mythology. The ability to solve every puzzle no matter which 3 party members you pick is a good one, it doesn't outstay it's welcome and - apart from one obscure solution - the puzzles are sensible and relatively easy to solve.

One of the most engaging and well-designed point-and-click adventure games I played, and I have played a lot of them. I just finished the game and from what I can tell I haven't discovered a lot - you can choose 2 members to go on a mission with you, and each mission can be solved with those 2 companions (shoot, you could have used the fire mage to read a burned document, but you have a detective, use her!).

I am in awe of how everything works so well in this game, characters have a soul, meaning, backgrounds - and everything is fully voiced (great acting too!).

The game has a fantastic setting, get past the 5-10 minutes of your origin story, and you will be hooked!

I am sure there are multiple endings, multiple ways of solving those puzzles based on your companions - oh - the companion also interact with each other, depending on who you take.

The decisions you make also matter, so that's extremely satisfying! If you are on the fence - take it, and you should enjoy it.

A true gem!

This game is just one more proof of why Wadjet Eye is my new favorite developer and puplisher when it comes to point-and-click adventures. They focus on the main aspects of the genre and get things done. They follow in the footsteps of all-time great studios like Sierra and Lucas Art, while still manage to produce high quality with that special kind of touch.

Pros:

1.) Story and atmosphere
2.) Dialogs and overall writing
3.) Setting and environment
4.) Soundtrack and voice acting
5.) Great main and side characters (looking at you KayKay)
6.) Background and artstyle
7.) All the little details

Neutral:

1.) Unfortunately, while the game focuses heavily on story and exploration, the puzzles fall a bit short. Overall, it could be a little trickier and more complicated to figure things out, but if the story and the dialogs are spot on, i don't really mind.

If you like or want to get into the genre, don't think twice and get yourself Unavowed. You can't be wrong. You also might wanna look into other games Wadjet Eye developed and/or puplished. Most of them are top-notch.

The writing, storytelling and worldbuilding in Unavowed is great, as we have come to expect from Wadjet Eye games. This game gives the player lots of meaningful choices, which can change how certain scenarios in the game play out, as well as what happens later on. It is not my favourite of their games, but it's still a fantastic point and click adventure overall, and has a lot of replay value due to the aforementioned choices.

A unique party-based take on the point and click adventure genre. The story is interesting, characters well-built, and there's even party banter in between your many journies from point A to point B. There were no unfair / nonsensical puzzles here, which is what I think a lot of people see as a barrier to playing classic adventure games. Give it a go!

Very polished, with not a whole lot of difficulty or deviation in puzzles (slight differences depending on who you bring along), but the characters, art, and voice acting more than carry the game through an unconventional plot with great pacing. I absolutely love everything about this game. Unavowed is, without question, one of the best adventures I have ever played!

Pros:
- great urban fantasy story (obviously inspired by equally phantastic supernatural world of Jim Buther's Dresden Files)
- wonderful characters
- great humor
- wonderful game design (dividing the game into missions circumvents wondering around endless screens in different locations searching for clues you missed that is so common in other adventure games)
- some replayability due to 3 origin stories and different solutions depending on which companion you pick and different endings depending on what choices you make
- great hint system (you can ask your companions what they think you should do next should you ever feel stuck)

con:
- relatively short (I needed about 10 hours for a playthrough) but definitely worth the full price!
- not really a con, but I was left longing for more, sincerely hoping they will make a few sequels. I really need to see more of this world! <3

I was in the mood for an Adventure/Point & Click style game and Unavowed was a great surprise. Great characters, great story, great soundtrack and great voice-acting. It might be a little light on puzzles or what some would call actual gameplay but there was enough to keep me engaged. This is mainly about the story though and I got more enjoyment out of that than I expected.

CONs:
- There are virtual 'levels' you need to pass, by location. Each location has very few options, you don't carry more than one or two items at every moment, so it's obvious where and how to use them. And also...
- Most puzzles are solved just by talking to NPCs, regardless of what dialogue line you choose. You can just click an every dialog line option and eventually you'll move forwarrd. This probably is ok for those who only are there for the story.

I am not much of a ''point and click'' guy but i really liked it. Highly recommended.
+Story is just brilliant and perfectly set up.
+Characters are well designed.
+Art style is OK.
-Puzzles are too easy, you might even say there is no puzzle in this game.
-When you alt+tab sounds got stuck(it is a bit annoying)

Unavowed is simply the pinnacle of classic-style point-and-click adventures. They don't get any better.

In a secret supernatural world reminiscent of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or a magical Men In Black, your protagonist (who, unusual for the genre, can be customized in ways that change the story and presentation) joins a crew of mystical troubleshooters unraveling a demonic plot of which you're intimately a part. Besides its distinctive, appealing, and well-voiced characters, the story features some honest-to-goodness surprising plot twists and tough choices.

And the list of audacious features continues: Every chapter starts by having you pick which two of the four companions you want to bring along... and the chapter is always completable with whichever two you pick. This is an adventure game with actual replay value.

I have a soft spot for games about a crack team of experts, each with their own specialty skills. Unavowed takes that genre into a modern fantasy setting, and it really works.

Wadjet Eye makes the best adventure games you can buy. And this is the best of the best.

Very effective at branching. Might not be everyone's cuppa, but it's very well structured and focused on plot and lore. By the end you'll care about the characters and their circumstances.

One very nice touch is characters talking to each other about random stuff if you let them be for a minute. Really helps build inter-character ties that otherwise are only imagined by the player.

This is the pinnacle of adventure gaming. 10/10 kobolds are shouting about it happily every chance they get.

Play it. Enjoy it. Love it. It's very good and worth multiple playthroughs and thinking about it and looking at how good it is at combining narrative design with gameplay.

Literally one of the best games I’ve played this year. A fantastic and compelling story, well realised characters and well designed puzzles all combine for a game I could not switch off until the credits rolled.

Three different backgrounds for your character, selectable companions, and multiple solutions to puzzles also will make this a rare example of a point and click game that won’t be exactly the same when I inevitably return to experience it again soon. Extremely recommended.

Unavowed is peak Wadjet Eye, at least so far. The characters are colourful, the world building is robust and interesting, and the pacing is great. Dave Gilbert has a knack for adventure game drama, keeping the plot moving and with a cleverly planned out arc. The marquee feature, picking your preferred companions a la Mass Effect, makes for a nice variety, though it does mean you have to replay the game to get all the content. The voice actors are, as always, great, and their performances make for a much stronger emotional connection to the characters. The puzzles are always logical and fair, with multiple solutions, even if most of them are just roadbumps for veteran adventure gamers.

Unavowed has been an excellent game so far, I'm guessing that I'm roughly half way through on my first play through, and it does encourage multiple playthroughs.

Pros:
It has incredible music, ambiance, and choices which bring fresh life to the alternate-modern-reality genre that I was afraid was going to feel oversaturated. Every scene is drawn to look like jungle of a city that New York is. The voice actors themselves do an excellent job, and the script writing is excellent. Moral choices are real, and make me think about what I want for this world's future... which is something that I love in my games!

Cons:
If I were to have a complaint about the game, it is that occasionally the voice acting quality is on the lower tech end, and the reverb comes through. I do wish that when a random dialogue between companions was activated, that I could cancel my last action to listen to it instead of transitioning to the next scene. I did run into a single bug that forced me to check a wiki to see if I was doing something wrong. The bug was not game breaking, and I was able to move forward without a reload, but it isn't something I can ignore.

Many of my cons are minor complaints that I can easily overlook.Overall I give this game a solid 9.5/10, it is well worth the asking price.

I've played through Unavowed once. I wasn't that impressed at first; minor gripes like a occasionally hammy voice acting and clunky animation etc.

The game certainly picked up the pace after the start, though, and became fairly unputdownable.

It's also neat that you select the protagonist's appearance and occupation in the beginning, which appears to affect the whole story. Upon starting my second playthrough, I almost instantly ran into characters that were introduced much later in the game on the first go.

The graphics, music and atmosphere are very nice. WadjetEye really got it right this time.

Wadjet Eye are some of the most serious game developers that I have had the experience of playing. There is so much thought put into the characters, story, and mythology that put most other games to shame. In a lot of ways, it feels like you're playing a game based on a novel, with all the essential details brought over with careful precision. If you are a fan of the point and click adventure games, pretty much anything with their name on it is well worth your time, and this is probably the best, most engaging game of theirs I've played.

That said, my only complaints are that the game feels a bit short (6 hours) and there are times when you make some big choices in the narrative (starting with the main character) that should have an impact later, but it's pretty minimal and doesn't change the endings you can see. The game is designed to have multiple paths, e.g. you can choose who's in your party for each mission and that will influence how you solve all the puzzles. This is great and should encourage repeat plays, but I've seen all the endings and don't really need to go through everything again just to see a few different dialogue options.

WE released this in 2018, and looking at my library, I realize I own every game they have put out (at least, on Steam) and eagerly await their next adventure (though I don't see anything on the horizon). If you guys are taking suggestions, I would love to see you go all in on an epic adventure game that takes 20-25 hours to complete (comparable to The Longest Journey in terms of scope). I know it would take more time and the cost would reflect this, but I am totally on board. I found the Blackwell series just as the 5th and final game was released so I could play it all in one go, so something like that instead of the one-off adventures.

A delightful game. The puzzles are generally pitched at the right level - make you think a bit, but not so challenging that they disrupt the flow. (And of course there are online walkthroughs for the exceptions!) The art is lovely and the story is very well-written.

This is the sort of game that you could play a thousand times, try different choices and get different endings and still never get tired of it. It truly is the answer to why Point & Click games shouldn’t die down as quickly as they are. Witty dialogue. Great characters. Amazing story. If you have a love for this game genre / style, then this one, along with all the other Wadjet Eye games, is definitely for you. 彡 ♡

When I started playing this game and was an hour or so in, my thought was 'It's a solid Wadjet Eye game, like a mid tier Blackwell style.' My impression was that it was not amazing, but not terrible, definitely still fun. Then the game started to make me smile with some of the writing. Then the game made me tear up at seeing how damn good one of the later game scenes was, which was only possible because the game took its time and let itself build with each of its mini-chapters and let you get to know the characters and made those later moments so awesome. And by the end I decided that it was a damn good game.

There's a lot to praise here for fans of point and click games too. The game casts the player as a pseudo self-insert, letting you play as 'yourself' more or less. This is not the norm when it comes to point and click games, but they managed to pull it off well. The way the story is written lets the player's input feel meaningful and the decision to not give you voice-acted lines is also accounted for in the story's premise (having lost your memory after the wicked spirit possessing you was exorcised, the voice actor for 'you' is applied to the spirit) so while its unusual to have a voice-less protagonist that decision also makes sense.
The devs also managed to make a story where by slightly restricting your choice of companions, you are encouraged to replay the game so you can see how those chapters would play with different party members. Some of the scenes were so good that I cannot imagine having played without that choice of companion, and I would encourage someone to replay just to see that combination. I may even revisit the game someday to see the alternates myself. Imagine that, meaningful story replayability in a point and click adventure game! That's wonderful and I'm honestly happy to see that furthering of story-writing and design in of my favorite game genres. The story itself was very, very solid. Not perfect but perfectly enjoyable. I loved the callbacks to the previous Blackwell games in the story and even how the game kind of imitated the format of those games while still maintaining its own identity. It felt right as both nostalgia and as its own product, which isn't always an easy line to tread.

If I have any critique of the presentation, its that a little bit of the fun of scenes was lost in having many details with hover text eye icons clearly stand out as unimportant. I like clever voice dialogue for some scenes, sometimes writing the perspective of the character on the observed background detail can add to the story. This does avoid red-herring design issues, in fact I can't recall ever running into a red herring. It also makes sense to not do this with a voiceless protagonist who is a self-insert of the player, so I think all in all my gripe isn't a gripe at all.

As for sound, the music is really fitting and pleasant, a great composition for the game and only offputting in one scene I can imagine (Alternate world of the restaurant). The voice acting was very robust for the genre as well (meaning dont expect AAA studio quality recordings), and I was never disappointed. The banter dialogue between the characters was an excellent choice as well and really makes them more human. Some sound effect balancing could be adjusted to give a little more oomph to scenes but again, overall the game is handled very solidly.

I'd absolutely recommend this game and I'd even go so far as to say that it's fairly accessible for someone who is unfamiliar with the genre. There were very few moments to be hung up on for puzzles such that I think even an inexperienced player or one who didn't wish to resort to the occasional guide would have no trouble at all. Another fantastic game from Wadjet Eye.

An excellent adventure with a complicated story and an interesting cast of characters. The thing that impressed me the most is the way the story changes based on your initial character choice, who you select for each mission, and the way you tackle the final set of challenges. Definitely replayable, although I'm not sure I have the stamina for playing to completion more than once. The game is very dialog heavy which wore thin after many hours. Although the voice acting is exceptional, I began clicking through and speed reading not to long into the game. For fans of classic point and click narratives, this is a must play.

If today's adventure games have to more or less ditch puzzles, I hope they will be like Unawoved.
It is all about the story, and the story is nice and creative. It is about the characters, and they are a likeable, and, what's more important, a memorable bunch; they grow on you and all of the main ones get a chance to develop. The last but not the least, the game knows how to handle both, make them work well together, and even throws in some clever and meaningful variability in the process.

Fun little romp. For the most part, easy puzzles - minimal inventory. Interface is easy to use. Writing is silly and great voice acting. Story overall has multiple paths that all reach the ends - doesn't really matter except for how you want to play your character. If you like point and click adventures and supernatural genre - this one is a great add to your collection.

This game was absolutely amazing. I was absolutely gutted when I just completed it. I wasn't sure how I felt bout the game in the first ten minutes but became completely hooked after that.

This game is character driven, with twists, humour, storytelling and lots of interesting enemies! I love how the game can go in so many different directions and how your choices change the flow of the game. I just re-played the ending to see all the different endings and to finish up with the one that made me feel all happy and gooey inside for the characters I came to love!

I sincerely hope they make a sequel as there is so much more that can be done with these characters! I would but it in a heartbeat.

Trust me if you like adventure games this is likely to be massively underrated. The old school graphics give it that retro charm and the voice acting is fantastic and makes it feel modern. Loved it!

As I grew up in the 80s I spent many years playing and loving what are now considered old school adventure games (i.e. the Lucasfilm stuff like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, so on and so forth): this game is great.
The story and the atmosphere are really phenomenal and they definitely keep you hooked.
The game is relatively short - my first run ended at approx. 8.3 hours of game time but in my opinion if you're fan of the genre it's well worth the money.
Puzzles are ok exception made for just a couple of them which are not exactly well telegraphed and leave you overthinking things for quite a good while but other than that the overall experience is great.
I really recommend you good folks out there try this out :)

A hidden gem. My 2nd favorite Point & Click game of all time.

Pros:
+The writing level in this game is truly astonishing, exceeded my expectations. Very well written characters and a sensational story with supernatural elements.
+The music is f***ing awesome. Top tier jazzy sh**.
+The moral of the story is about judgement, the game puts you in many hard ethical situations which heavily affects the ending.
+Cool characters design.
+Well made puzzles. uncommon thing in the genre these days.

Cons:
-The visuals could use more polishing, especially the animation.
-Voice actors overreact in some scenes. Ruins the immersion a little bit.

A must-have if you're into P&C genre.

Adventure game where you join a small paranormal agency to look into problems effecting the human realm. You can take two out of four other members with you to each area, each with their own uses and dialogue that they will have with each other. Often good writing with some strong character moments for the main characters. At the start of the game you choose a former occupation of actor, cop, or bartender that gives you a brief opening section and a unique style of dialogue choice to use tied to your former job. I would recommend playing as the cop though as one of your companions is your former partner if you take that background and having that connection to her is really some of the only good moments that she gets. The choice of job doesn't really matter much in any other way as the options typically either won't effect much of anything or each one would just get you the same outcome. The puzzles are almost all very simple or just involve using a characters ability or walking back and forth to talk to people after getting new information. The worse puzzles being finding codes or passwords by figuring out the ridiculous physical note hint cards people leave behind.

For a more character focused adventure game, which is what I prefer, I would recommend it. If you are looking for some good puzzles, you won't find them here.

Just an unbelievably great point & click. I had such a good time playing this. Unavowed plays like a handful of episodic missions where you find yourself helping and adding new party members throughout, giving it the feel of an RPG storyline as you all become focused on a single greater goal. A ton a variety and so many gd choices to make that all feel fairly impactful. The characters and settings all feel well realized and detailed, and it doesn't fall into the trap of being so old-school that the puzzles are impossibly hard and make zero sense in order the pad the challenge. It's all just so refreshingly balanced.

It's been a few years since I've gone super heavy into P&C adventures, so I don't know if this is new or not, but the simplicity of Unavowed's control system is the high bar as far as i'm concerned. No right clicking to change actions or icon. Click on a person to talk, Click on a door to use it, just hover on things for the detailed explanation of what you're seeing. You're able to get all the context and details of the scene around you without clicking on a million different things.

Great stuff. I'll absolutely replay. 9/10

Great adventure from Wadjet Eye games. The characters are diverse and likeable and all have their own unique set of skills and personalites. You have a choice of three scenarios for you characters background too and each has specific dialogue for certain areas and people based on their background and the knowledge or skill it gives them. The story is interesting and it shares the same universe as the Blackwell series, which is one of my favourite series to date. The game also has different ways to solve puzzles depending on who is in your party for each mission. If you are a fan of the adventure genre this game is highly recommended.

Geez. I don't know what to say! This game is great! I'm just so impressed how so much better it is than the recent AAA crap with millions poured for creating trash games.

The game has great story and amazing characters. Every character I interacted with is remarkable and memorable. They all add to the story and the world of the game.

The game doesn't have elaborate puzzles. Everything was pretty easy to solve. Yet, I believe this game is more about your journey and choices and less about pure puzzle solving.

It was such a joy to discover and play this game! Loved every minute of it.I highly recommend it.
