Review zu Worms Revolution

Ich würde mich nicht wirklich als großen Worms-Fan bezeichnen. Ich habe diese Spielereihe besonders als Kind hin- und wieder ganz gerne, besonders mit meinem Bruder, gespielt. Er war es auch, der mich wieder zurück zu diesem Spiel brachte und es unbedingt mit mir spielen wollte.
Ich jedoch kann damit wenig anfangen. Vielleicht liegt das daran, weil meine erste Wormserfahrung mit Worms Ultimate Mayhem angefangen hatte und Worms in 3D statt 2D zeigt. Seitdem bin ich immer irgendwie irritiert Worms nicht in 3D zu sehen.
Habe das Spiel kürzlich wieder verstaubt aus meiner Steambibliothek rausgekramt und dachte mir, dass es ich es mal probiere und zumindest die Kampagne durchspiele, aber wie sich heraus gestellt hat, habe ich nicht mal dazu irgendwelche Lust. Ich hatte irgendwie Probleme mit Waffen wie der Bazooka und der Granate Gegner zu treffen. Auf gewisse Distanzen bin ich einfach in diesem Worms schlecht. Merkwürdigerweise hatte ich dieses Problem im 3D-Worms nicht, aber das kann auch einfach die Übung aus der Kindheit gewesen sein. Wer weiß.
Für mich jedoch ist dieses Worms leider nichts.

Kommen wir für die Schnellen unter uns einfach mal zur Pro-Contra-Liste:

Pro:

+ Amüsanter Erzähler. Er hat eine gut geeignete Stimme für derlei Humor
+ Apropos. Süßer Worms-Humor!
+ Im Hintergrund der Karten ist eigentlich immer was los. Ein reges Treiben
+ Nette Auswahl witziger Waffen

Contra:

- Man wird vom Spiel gezwungen die Tutorialmissionen der Kampagne zu spielen. Blöderweise ist selbst das Tutorial rundenbasiert, obwohl die Gegner nichts machen, weshalb wieder rum man unnötig Zeit verplempert und so etwas mag ich nicht
- Man wird ebenso gezwungen der KI, wenn sie einen Zug macht, zuzuschauen, bis dieser Zug beendet ist. Ich würde das gerne vorspulen können. Ärgerlich auch, da ein Zug der KI gelegentlich recht lange brauchen kann
- Kamera bleibt auf Anhieb nicht bei dem Wurm den ich gerade steuere. Sie folgt zwar schon, aber verzögert, dass es eher schlecht als recht ist

Prontra:

+- Tasten im Tutorial werden auf der Tastatur angezeigt, obwohl ich mit einem Controller spiele. Das hat die Erklärung der Steuerung verständlicherweise erschwert

Wer Worms liebt, mit all seiner Vielfalt, wird von dieser Version sehr enttäuscht.
Es gibt wirkich sehr wenge Waffen. Bisher bekannte und geliebte Waffen sind sehr stark verändert, z.B. der Betonesel, welcher früher eine Schneise der Verwüstung hnterlassen hat, springt jetzt auf der Oberfläche herum und killt eher die eigenen Würmer als alles andere.
Würmer rutschen nicht mehr herum und feuer,... naja,... das hätten sie bei diesen effekt auch weg lassen können, wäre dann ungefähr der gleiche effekt.
Die Grafik erinnert sehr Stark and die Version W.M.D, was natürlich kein Lob ist. Einfach, sclicht, lieblos.
Spiel wird nur behalten, da andere Freunde es gerne spielen, als wahrer Wormsfan hole ich mir jedoch wieder Armageddon, Meiner Ansicht nach das beste Worms.

I'm a 3d worms guy, but this one is still fun to play with friends. Perfect break between rounds of your preferred competitive game. Phyisac objects are cool to play with, otherwise it is just worms as you know it.

I honestly have to say that this game is for slow nights or to calm down after playing other games and not a title I'd jump to when I'm in the mood to play something. I got this game as a gift and I've only enjoyed it because of the people that I've played it with as their humor and laughter brings me joy but I'd never start this on my own to play with strangers. It's time consuming and requires a lot of patience.

Aged very poorly. Has a low frame rate on high end machines. There are a couple fixes, but problems will persist. Map generation is more often a miss than a hit.

Fun Game to lose friends over (8/10)

This game is a fun time with much potential based on the group of friends you play with. It has many strategies in taking out worms with a good variety of weapons in your arsenal. With the added water physics in the game and the different worm classes it brings a classic game to life.

My main issue with this game is that its a little wonky on the controls while the other ones seem a bit smoother.

Still a great game a recommend for anyone in the mood for 2D turn based battle royale.

Worms revolution is amazing. Team17 did an amazing job making this worms game. I used to play the game a lot on other consoles and i wanted it on steam. But the sad thing is multiplayer is dead and you wont really get to do online matches. But the singleplayer is still really fun and i would definitely recommend it.

There's no revolution in this new installment of Team 17's beloved franchise, but tons of fun and crazy gadgets. New features need a good improvement if they are meant to stick around, but single and multiplayer contents will make fans happy for a bit.

Aside from some glitches and crashes, this game is so much fun to play with friends.

I created all sort of maps and custom games like rope races, super sheep maps, concrete donkey maps and just rope maps in general with normal weapons to make it competitive.

You do need to practice a little bit, skill and tactics matter in this type of game.

I've played the single player missions for this game a good bit now, and I'm quite enjoying it. Definitely worth the price! Matt Berry's voice acting is stellar, as well as the way the worms seem to interact with him. There's a lot of little nuances that make it obvious that a lot of work went into this game. My only complaint so far is that I can't seem to find any multi-player games (it's entirely possible that it's on my end though). If you're a fan of the series, you're going to love this game!

well if you want to do the campaign get ready to take it dry . The computer cheat's it will hit you 100% if it want's to no if and's or butt's.

buy if 80% off or more but if you can get it for free.

I will test some other areas of the game at a later date.

The jankiest and worst Worms game I've ever played. Get Armageddon if you want to play a good version of worms.

All of the interesting ideas with new mechanics are undermined by poor execution, bugs and inconsitent design.

Why would I recommend this game? It has online multiplayer...haven't tested that though...yet.
And that is the only reason I bought it (yeah yeah, sale, blah blah).

Also some of the new weapons are kinda cool.

Now comes the rant part:
* Why does everything have to be 3D with background 3D animations? (OK matter of preference)
* I must be too old or something (I started with Worms 1), but imo Armageddon / World party was perfect (except for the lack of online multiplayer...or does it have that?)
* Matt Berry has a cool voice, but I still want to skip most of that (I get it, you paid for a cool voice actor, get over it)
* unskippable tutorial levels in campaign mode....boooooo
* DLC only weapons? shame on you, srsly...

Good game, we had fun because dav bought it for olli and then we realised that you can only play this game with 4 guys.
Haha, had a good laugh. Because i like to play without olli, dont know, dont really like that guy.
