Zombie Shooter ist ein reines Ballerspiel in Isometrische Ansicht. Hier knallen wir alles ab was sich auf einem zu bewegt. Dabei werfen die Leichen verschiedene Items ab, wie Medic Packs, Munition usw. Bosse die schwerer zu killen sind, werfen dann bessere Waffen ab. Ein kurzweiliges Vergnügen das sehr zu Lasten der Mousetasten geht.

Ich hab ZS schon früher gespielt aber durch einen Festplattencrash ging mir das Spiel verloren. Sh!t happens aber mir kam der Sale hier (66% Rabatt) recht gelegen. Hab es gewiss sieben oder neun Mal durchgespielt und finde immer noch Gefallen dran.

Es ist immer noch ein wundervoller Shooter für zwischendurch. Verwandel jeden Raum in einen großen Klumpatsch an Blut und Eingeweide und sei froh, dass du nicht aufräumen musst. :)

Wer ne kleine Herausforderung sucht, sollte das Spiel auf die höchste Schwierigkeitsstufe stellen und durchzocken, ohne ein Leben zu verlieren. Es ist (relativ) simpel, wenn man weiß wie...doch dazu später mehr.

Pro:
- 9 verschiedene Waffen mit Upgrades
- verschiedene Gegnertypen
- Blut und Leichenteile im Quadrat
- sehr hübsch gemachte Animationen (find ich)
- noch mehr Blut und Splatter
- versteckte Powerups und Secrets. Allerdings muss man echt jede Wand abschießen, um alle zu finden

Contra:
- Steuerung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, man eiert immer beim Richtungswechsel
- hin und wieder bleibt man an Gegenständen hängen und muss sich da rausfriemeln

Abschließend noch der erwähnte Hinweis zur Taktik: Pistole komplett upgraden und danach das Geld für die Magma-gun sparen und ebenfalls auf Maximum bringen. Das Geld für andere Waffen / Rüstung kann man sich komplett klemmen, die beiden Waffen reichen aus und ohne Magma-gun geht in den letzten Leveln eh nix....oder nich ohne größeren Aufwand.

Kurz, aber richtig gut. Hier killt man in einer Stunde mehr Zombies, als in Sniper Elite: Zombie Army 1 und 2 in einer Woche.

You go on a rampage and decimate all the flat earthers and anti-vaxxers. A dream come true. One of the best genocide simulators out there. 10/10

There is no plot in the game, but there is a cool dynamic gameplay. The game is also very relaxing when you kill thousands of aliens.
There is a minus in the game, these are very stupid mobs that are constantly stuck in textures or trying to kill you through the wall.

It's Alien Shooter... with zombies! If you're familiar with Sigma Team's original Alien Shooter you know exactly what to expect here, with a few minor variations. If you're not then... I mean it's an isometric shooter where you kill increasingly ridiculous hordes of zombies/aliens with increasingly ridiculous weapons. If that sounds like fun for an hour or two, you can't go wrong picking up either this or Alien Shooter.

If you HAVE played Alien Shooter, what's different about this one? Well, the zombies, for one. That's the big difference. It also occupies a bit of a weird middle ground between Alien Shooter 1 and 2 visually, with less cartoony visuals than AS1 but less attractive lighting than AS2, and assets that could have (or perhaps did) come from either game. Gameplay however is basically just like AS1, with some minor changes to how you level up stats and the new ability to upgrade weapons in addition to buying them and their ammo. Oh and there's a final boss, and it's pretty meh but I mean... it's a Sigma game. You aren't here for intricate boss fights, you're here to watch five dozen things exploding into gibs at once.

But yeah, it's fundamentally just Alien Shooter, but with zombies, and that's a-okay with me. Another great game to blast through if you have an hour or two to spare and don't want to think about anything other than zombies go boom.

Hum... Kinda entertaining. This is an isometric shooter. The graphics are old but still nice. Decent music. The story is basically a little tale to connect the missions somehow.

Bugs... yeah. Crashes... one. Runs fine on Win 7.

Overall, is entertaining., even if short. A 10 mission campaign that you can finish in one sit. If you got to play Alien Shooter is basically the same game using zombies and zombie monsters instead of aliens. There're are some bugs, the worst is one where the character gets stuck behind something and there's no way to solve this but restarting the mission. It doesn't happen all the time or everywhere but is still annoying. I had a crash once but never happened again. Anyway, the game is simple and casual. Just get the big gun early and it will be a walk in the park or in the alien facility that now is infested by zombies... those guys can't catch a break... eh, just destroy everything that moves and have fun.

If this was the first game this developer ever made, maybe I would be less critical, but since they already made Alien Shooter game 4 years before, then they had the time to fix all the issues, since it is basically the same game with different textures.

The AI is simply brain-dead. They only know how to go in the direction of the player, there is no actual pathfinding, so they get stuck trying to pass through a wall while there is a door right next to them. They also often get stuck on terrain and just spin in place. Any game programmer should be able to implement basic A* pathfinding in a 2D game in a few days, not to mention 4 years.

The most impressive part of the game is supposed to be the sheer amount of enemies on screen and all the blood and gore, but developers put zero effort to make the fights actually interesting. They just throw hundreds of enemies at you in each level and that is it, so every fight feels the same. Except one turret segment, there are no unique situations or long interestingly choreographed battles with different waves of enemies like you would find in classic Serious Sam games.

The rest of the game also lacks effort. There are just 2 music tracks that constantly repeat in all levels, there are no ambient sound effects and even the final boss had no sound effects when it moves and attacks. After you finish the game, you get a final message with a typo.

I played the game on Hard, finished it and made the most out of it, but unless you are cleaning your backlog, I recommend others to buy and play something better.

Take Alien Shooter, remove all aliens, throw in zombies, mix some, stir some and you've got Zombie Shooter. Simple as that. All other ingredients are in place. Bombastic action, oceans of blood and gore, ridiculously over-the-top weaponry and of course ever more voluminous hordes of... zombies this time.

Compared to Alien Shooter the game has more detailed graphics, along with an edgier style. I believe the enemies to be much more visually interesting as well. Perhaps it's because they are humanoid. There is something special to shooting your fellow humans, or, well, their reanimated, rotting carcasses. The layouts of the stages are also much more narrow which creates the opportunity for some basic tactics. On the other hand, the campaign went by a bit too fast. It didn't feel like there was quite enough there. The game is also plagued by various minor technical difficulties, like the player character getting constantly stuck in the environment. Nothing too critical, but enough to cause a distraction.

Overall, this was a fun little spin to the tried and tested Alien Shooter formula. In fact, in some ways it was even better. A number of unfortunate shortcomings may keep it from actually outdoing its source of inspiration, but they are not enough to sour the experience.

I recommend trying this game. Fans of relentless isometric shooters, gore and zombies in particular are in for a tasty treat.

Old-school game, brings back memory of my childhood 14 years ago. Got this game for nearly-a-dollar during the winter sale. You just need a mouse to play this game, keyboard is not necessary, and brain too. Who needs brain when the game give you the power of god?
ps: Play this game while listening to DOOM soundtracks to have the best experience.

Pretty fun old school shooter. The gameplay is fun with some challenge, and the levels are detailed. Graphics are great too with the blood and gore persisting in the level. The game also runs perfectly in Proton on Linux.
However, the enemies are sometimes glitchy and jitter behind level objects, and I couldn't input my name after i accidentally alt+tabbed out of the game. I also wish there was some story in the campaign mode.
Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who loves simple shooting action.

This was one of the most intense, over the top retro type zombie games I've played in a long time... It is a pretty old game, but still gives you a good healthy challenge - shoot everything you see. There isn't a whole lot of decipherable story, but who cares? GO have fun, shoot stuff and blow stuff up! Why bother complicating mindless, amazing, exuberant entertainment with plot and twists and character development, just unwind for once and kill zombies! The endless hordes of zombies can be a handful, but I've had hours and hours of good times playing Zombie Shooter! (Disregard the play time on the review, it is wildly inaccurate)

A VERY bugged version of the game, i don't remember playing it's previous iteration prior to the Steam release being so buggy. Mid-game crash, every-time-you-die crash and more weird bugs like getting stuck. I really tried to go back but it's frustrating to experience this game. It's a fun isometric shooter but i can't recommend it even with this price tag.

Beware, if purchasing at current state.

Just barely. I'm certainly Can't recommend it as a single game. Only as a part of Sigma's shooter pack.

Basically, it feels like an upgraded version of the standard Alien Shooter: more options of tuning your character, upgrading weaponry, strong enemies, fun enough maps for massive massacres. If you just want to fill the floor with the blood of monsters in some generic isometric shooting game which you can beat in one hour with normal difficulty level... Well, maybe it's okay.

But! I said that it feels like an upgraded version of Alien Shooter, with more more features... and more glitches. And not so fun. Maybe it's the level design, maybe it's the zombie theme, which is so generic and chewed right now... I dunno.

I like the Alien Shooter, but this one - is not good enough. It's slightly better in survival mode, and it's worse in the campaign, even with the super-duper mega boss in the end.

My mark is 5.2/10. Buy it only with good discount, in the bundle, and expect nothing more than 1-2 hours of the blood-splatting gameplay.

This game doesn't really need review. It's all about shooting things. Then you buy better weapons to shoot things more efficiently. And then you encounter even more things you can shoot. More you could imagine.

Buy it if you like to shoot things.
Don't buy it if you care about graphics, story, bugs, good soundtrack and interesting boss fights.
Yeah - finall boss is probably the most boring finall boss I have ever seen.

Guns, Countless Bullets and an almost endless wave of Zombies.

There is something strangely satisfying about playing this game with your favourite playlist playing in the background. That feeling of leaning back in your comfy chair and unleashing a wave of molten metal justice into the unsuspecting horde of zombies. I'm not usually one for such mindless carnage (although now I think about it I enjoyed the hell out of Carmageddon all those years ago). Yet, I found myself turning to this game when I had no idea what else to play.

I'm not going to sugar coat the game at all, it 'says what it is on the tin' to be fair to the developers - It's Zombie Shooter. That's all there is to it, yet there feels like there's more.
It has a Campaign and a Survival Mode, both of which are pretty fun, although I did find myself enjoying the Survival Mode more. In Survival Mode you have survive as many Zombie Waves as you can in a small confined area. There are a selection of maps (each with their own unique element), a wide range of guns and a collection of power ups to use as you see fit. Interestingly there's a perk system too, which allows you to customise your character as you level up from killing the Zombies and surviving the waves.

Campaign mode was OK for what it is, a isometric 'corridor' shooter, and doesn't really try to be anything else. However, it does suffer from some environmental clipping, which is perhaps the most danger you'll find yourself in as it's easy to become trapped/stuck (forcing you to restart the level).
Much like the Survival mode you can upgrade your character, but you have to find the guns to unlock them (rather than the guns falling off of Zombies and into your lap).
I think what I really liked about the Campaign was that there wasn't a half-arsed story tacked onto it to try and justify the mindless onslaught against the Zombie Hoard. It just plonked you into the game and allowed you to go. It makes me realise that I'd actually like to see a Zombie Movie based on that idea - no poorly written story with terrible actors, just a person or two killing endless zombies before the zombies kill them.

The controls are basic and use as WSAD approach with Mouse aiming, sadly no gamepad support (that I could find). There are no real options to customise resolution or graphics, so you'll have to make do with what they offer. The sound is OK, but not amazing. I do feel as though this game is missing out on a killer soundtrack to support the carnage.

If you have low expectations, and are perhaps just looking for something to sit back and waste a few hours on this game is ideal - it might even surprise you.

Serviciable zombie shooter that entertains for a few hours. Nothing innovative happening here, but it's able to execute on simple game mechanics that makes it a worthwhile game. [7/10]
