Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers ist eine einzigartige Flugsimulation mit Strategieelementen und einer fesselnden Storyline. Im Mittelpunkt des Spiels stehen Flugzeugmissionen während des Zweiten Weltkriegs, die von Flugzeugträgern aus gestartet werden. Der Spieler kann zudem die Steuerung des Flugzeugträgers übernehmen, wodurch die Möglichkeit besteht, Missionen und Ausrüstung en Detail zu planen. Des Weiteren sind alle Flugzeuge
individuell anpassbar und es lassen sich nun auch in ganzen Schwadronen kontrollieren. Der Spieler hat die Qual der Wahl, auf wessen Seite er die Flug- und Seeschlachten bestreiten möchte: US Navy oder Kaiserlich Japanische Marine.

Es hätte so gut sein können. Es spielt sich etwas zäh. Die Geschwindigkeit hätte auch etwas schneller sein können. Dazu kommt dass das Bombardieren von Zielen und das Abwerfen von Torpedos teilweise etwas umständlich ist, da die Steuerung nicht einwandfrei perfekt ist. Von der Grafik und dem Sound her macht es einen recht guten Eindruck. Leider wird durch irgendetwas ein Bug ausgelöst, der das Weiterspielen unmöglich macht. Die Air Conflicts-Reihe ist einfach Schrott.

Dieses Spiel ist ein sehr schönes Spiel. Es ist sehr leicht zu verstehen und der Kampagne-Modus ist sehr gut machbar. Ich würde hier aber empfehlen, einen Controller zu nutzen, weil es nur mit Mouse und Tastatur schwieriger zu spielen ist.

This is a very nice game. It is easy to understand and it isn't difficult to make the games tasks. But I would say you should play the game with a controller, because it isn't easy to play this game otherwise.

Altbackenes Spiel mit grauenvoller Steuerung. Maussensitivität ist zu hoch egal auf welcher Einstellung, Zielen kaum möglich, Steuerung lässt sich nicht frei belegen (schlechter Konsolenport). Soundabmischung ist auch grauenhaft, Sounds kommen sehr schwach rüber. Gameplay ist auch nicht das gelbe vom Ei, aber noch akzeptabel.

Ein sehr spannendes Spiel. Teilweise fand ich die Missionen etwas zu knifflig, doch mindert das den Spielspaß kaum. Die Details sind recht gut ausgearbeitet und die Modelle recht Detailgetreu. Und auch die Missionen sind abwechslungsreich und bieten Spielspaß in vollem Umfang. Wer also Echtzeitstrategie in Verbindung mit Historischen Inhalten und Flugzeugsimulationen liebt der ist mit diesem Spiel bestens bedient. Kann ich für alle weiterempfehlen die auf Strategiespiele stehen.

Historisches Pacific Fugsimulator Game das sich sehen lässt.

+Schöne Grafik (dem alter entsprechend)
+Einhaltung der Historischen Ereignisse
+Workshop
+zerstörbare Kulisse
+komplexer Bombenabwurf (einstellbar über Schwierigkeitsgrad)
+angemessener Game Inhalt (länge)
-Multiplayer ist tot
-Gegner und Spieler halten zuviel aus
Wer lust hat einmal mit einer Zero oder einer Hellcat durch den Pacific zu rasen ist hier gut beraten :)

Ein klassisches Beispiel, für eine fehlerhafte Umsetzung von Konsole auf PC. Mit Maus und Tastatur NICHT spielbar. Steuerung ist jenseits von Gut und Böse. Loopings oder Rollen (grundlegende Dinge eines Kampfflugzeugs) sind nicht möglich. Macht mir persönlich einfach keinen Spaß. Mein Rat: FINGER WEG!

Whereas Air Conflicts: Secret Wars was a bland and boring arcade flight game, Pacific Carriers is a bad one.

Poor story, poor acting, unfun missions, LOTS of bugs, the watch patrol missions, poor graphics, poor controls. All ruin what could have been a just bland game. As it is, it's bad. I paid under a buck in a bundle and feel ripped off, it's really that bad.

Go look anywhere else for your flight fix. Honestly, pick a random flight game, you'd be hard pressed to choose one worse than this.

If you run linux, it's a good idea to actually use the windows version under proton. Stuff like xbox 360 controller support as well as some graphical effects straight up aren't in the linux port for some reason.

Once you get over that, you've got yourself a pretty competent aerial combat game. It focuses on the pacific theater so most of the game is at sea either sinking ships or other planes but there are some pretty interesting moments here and there. The planes have been modelled quite well both in terms of looks and how they fly. I think this is the first non-dedicated-sim game i've played where controlling yaw is genuinely important.

Unfortunately it gets a little boring and repetitive, was still enjoying the game until the mission where you have to shoot down 6 bombers from the ship, if you fail you have to wait a whole min spotting even though you know what direction the bombers will be coming, for some reason I struggled getting all 6 and got fed up waiting a min like I was in some lobby online waiting for another chance, the game went from fun to annoying as quick as that. game runs ok and looks ok, ryzen 7 3800X, 68000Xt, 32GB Ram, win 10 64.

A really cool arcad-ish WWII Combat flight sim.
The game features both an Allied and Japanese viewpoint of the war through different campaigns, which is something not always touched on by WWII flight sims.
Take the games physics and realism with a huge dash of salt and enjoy it for the historical story aspects and the fun of editing flight rosters, deciding how to, in a limited way, load your different aircraft, and in the midst of battle jump from plane to plane to control the skies.

If you are looking for realism, then no, this won't be for you, but if you want a fun romp through the air war of the Pacific campaign of WWII, this will do nicely.

This game is terrible. Everything that worked in Air Conflicts Secret Wars they completely took out and left you with this game.

Pros:
-Nice graphics at times when you fly over the water

Cons:
-You are limited to a small amount of ammunition per plane, forcing you to alternate planes mid mission. What? Exactly, I don't know why either. You don't even have enough ammunition to finish off all the enemies which makes the game pointless when you get new planes. You can't enjoy them like you could in secret wars and just bomb facilities below, you must conserve your ammunition for the enemy which isn't even enough

-Shooting is completely unsatisfying in this game. The controls are bad and everything feels forced. You feel forced in this game to robotically finish each mission the way they designed it which makes the game feel extremely linear

On all levels, this game doesn't work. I highly suggest you not play this game and play secret wars instead if you are looking for a fun arcade simulator.

It's a highly accurate gameplay of the WW2 pacific theater! It starts with the entry for America into WW2 with Pearl Harbor and finishes once all 6 Japanese carriers are sunk. Then It takes you through the Japanese point of view!

The Air Conflicts Franchise is a simple arcade 3D flight game. Simple graphics, sounds, mechanics & objectives.

If you enjoyed Air Conflicts Secret Wars then you will enjoy Air Conflicts Pacific Carriers. It takes everything from its predecessor and adds a +1.

Don't expect a flight simulator. Expect quick'n'easy fun.

The crew management system was a shock to me, as was limited ammunition and ordinance. Crew management as a concept is wholly new to arcade combat flight sims, as far as I'm aware, and limited loading of weapons is really only replicated in Secret Weapons Over Normandy, which is a far simpler game than this.

I do have to say that I was disappointed in the enemy AI just flying in circles, much the same way that it does in Secret Wars, and the heavy smoke and flame coming from destroyed enemy assets causes some of the worst frame drops I've seen in any game. On top of that, the entire system I just praised has very noticeable polish issues, but still works well enough to have been a pleasant surprise. I don't feel like an ace on steroids, and that's how I prefer a flying game feel.

My embarrassingly-short playtime was a result of a crash that occurred on the Wake Island air patrol mission. Can't fix it, can't skip the cutscene to bypass it. That alone almost got me to not recommend this game, but I like the idea that this was trying to get across. I hope that future arcade combat flight sims perfect this formula.

At least it's better than Vietnam one - this is the game that I'm expecting to be like when it comes to the classic Ace Combat. Decent graphics and similar controls to flying a plane in Vietnam one.

I adquired this game with the last humble bundle for a few dollars. According to that, I think it was a good deal taking into account how much I expended.

The game itself has beautiful graphics and if you like WWII aircraft, you´re going to enjoy the views. On the other hand, controls can be a little bit hard to get even if you have a gamepad (I strongly recommend trying different settings at the realism part of the game settings window) and after some missions, it gets kind of repititive.

In summary, not a good buy for 20$, but a reasonably good one for 5$ or less. I would rate it with a 6.5/10
