But when equipment starts failing and crew members are injured, you as Nancy Drew, must join the team to keep them in the competition. I love Nancy Drew games. Did not love this one. I was not solving a mystery, I was just doing chores for some bossy people.

I hate how low the opinion is of this nancy game! It's one of my favs for sure! The characters are so funny and the ending was definitely one of the most exciting. Yes, there's a lot of puzzles, but the story is super rich too! I loved it!

I have played (almost) all of the Nancy Drew series. They have declined in quality over the years. But this one... this is the one that I am sad I wasted time on. There was no story, no heart. Some puzzles were ridiculously hard, half the game was spent trapping mice.

This game is not for 2 brain cell bitches. My ex-lover had 2 do most of the puzzles with me if not just plain for me. Other than that its just boring, not engaging, or interesting. Tbh a nancy drew game about an employee stealing paperclips from the office would have been more fun.

This is probably one of the least-liked Nancy Drew games in general, but it has a lot to offer if you're the kind who enjoys lots of puzzles and clear objectives. You won't spend a lot of time wandering around aimlessly and I felt that the pacing and amount of different activities made up where the story fell short.

This is maybe the first really disappointing ND game I've played. Other games have their flaws sure but this was a let down. From the description I imagined learning about storm chasers, solving electrical or mechanical-related puzzles, and chasing after tornadoes in the wide Oklahoma plains. What you get is Nancy Drew: Busy Work Simulator. Literally running errands in a difficult to operate car. You hardly talk to the characters so there isn't much connection to them. The stakes were very low. I sometimes forgot why I was there. I literally felt like an intern.
(Kept a save file just to play the arcade game which was really fun until I figured out the patterns.)
The scenery and the music were very nice. I think the setting and idea was great but the execution doesn't make up for a weak story.

This is an ND game I had played before but never completed, and in short is not one of my favorites. I'd recommend this game if you're playing through them all and would like to enjoy some beautiful scenery. I took my time with this play through, doing the optional games, taking cloud pictures, and earning money, but you could definitely speed run this game as there is just a few tasks per day (most are just errands the characters don't want to do). I wasn't super into the story or characters and felt bad Nancy had to deal with them. I noticed this game didn't let you keep or collect most of the letters/papers and in a part of a game an item just magically appeared in the inventory. The Surface Charts puzzle near the end was the worst, I ended up using a walk through because the puzzle wasn't clear with everything you needed to do. The villain was super predicable, and all the characters were pretty selfish in their own ways. The ending was also predictable and slightly cheesy.

All the hardcore ND fans seem to hate this one, but I liked it a lot, mostly because of the puzzles. They were mostly logic and spatial-awareness based, and the main way to earn money was a fun circuit-connection puzzle. I had a lot of fun catching the mice each time, loved the grocery budget task, etc. I also liked the candy collection...That's one thing about ND games of late that is so much fun--buying souvenirs. I get a kick out of collecting everything, even if I don't need to in order to complete the game.

There's not much of a plot here, which I think is why most ND fans aren't keen on it, so don't buy it if that's the main reason you play these games. I don't much care about the mystery itself, I'm just here for the puzzles and exploration. The characters aren't super memorable except for Pa--poor, sweet Pa--and the rooms you get to explore are few compared to other ND games.

The way the game flows from task to task seemed very intuitive to me. With a lot of these titles I have a hard time figuring out what to do next so I'll have to consult walkthroughs or call for hints a lot, but with this one I didn't have much of an issue. All the dots connected neatly and I wasn't left wondering whether I hadn't completed something.

Get it on a sale if you can, but I recommend it for sure.

Not my favorite ND game, but also not on the bottom of my list. While I enjoy the puzzles in Trail of the Twister, the dialogue is unimpressive. I wish they spent a little more time on character development, and a little less time forcing me to catch mice. All in all, I enjoy this game, but its not one of those ND staples I can play over and over again.

Probably the coolest one in my opinion. Many people say that this mystery was the least enjoyable for them but I personally enjoy this one. The puzzles are a lot of what draws me to it though so if I was looking at the mystery aspect it would fall short. But it is a great game with a lot of enjoyable aspects!

I love nancy drew games, but this particular game in the series was a little dissapointing. when playing a nancy drew game you expect to have an interesting plot that makes you feel like you are part of the mystery, but the plot to this game did not live up to the thrill of previous games in the series. it was a little lame because of the lack of danger present, the feeling that someone is out to get rid of you is very weak in this game, which is upsetting because that was a great strength of the other games. some of the puzzles were frustrating, but others were alot of fun and rewarding. definitely not one of the best of the series, but it is still a good game. the few frustrations only showed up a few times in the game so it isnt really that big of a deal. I give it a 6/10, but if your more of a mainstream gamer, I wouldnt suggest this game to you, its for those who enjoy casual games.
