The village of Rynoka. Once again peaceful and prosperous after the events of the Fifth Door. Shaded with green trees, inhabited by adventurous and entrepreneurial creatures alike. You can understand why a person would like to live here endlessly. However, life doesn't stop for anybody. The wind of change is blowing through Rynoka. A new, cryptic Portal appeared out of nowhere. Does it bring a new threat? Or is it a new way to make an easy profit? And most importantly... are you prepared to enter the unknown?

Between Dimensions is the biggest Moonlighter expansion so far. The DLC enlarges the main experience by filling current dungeons with new creatures, populating all-new Interdimensional Dungeon with mini-bosses, swarming the adventure with new weapons, armory, shop items, and rings.

Mein aktuelles Fazit:
Es macht Spaß und es gibt viele neue und schöne Sachen zu entdecken und der neue Dungeon macht Spaß.
Negativ:
Bugs: (Vogel zieht dich zur Tür und du kommst nicht mehr weg, Item leuchtet rot ohne Grund, usw.).
Items: Viele Items die wichtig sind zum Verbessern gibt es von so einem doofen Händler der sehr kostbare Item als tausch möchte.
Shop: Teilweise hast du denn halben Shop oder komplett voll mit Leuten die nichts kaufen (Fragezeichen über dem Kopf).

Jetzt sehe ich das seit dem Release es 2-3 Update gab. Sollte sich die Lage bessern, überarbeite ich die Review.

Update: Ich habe das DLC jetzt durch bzw. den normalen Modus und der Endgegner ist besiegt. Für 7€ ist das DLC in Ordnung.

The DLC is more of the base game, but with a much slower progression.
On top of that, there is so much grind, it takes the fun out of the game.
In the base game you had a merchant that would mitigate bad RNG, in the expansion you have to grind until RNG is decides to grace with what you have been looking for.
DLCs should focus on expanding what is good and removing or improving what is bad.
In this DLC they did the exact opposite.

A Great DLC Imo Had New Pets And New Trick Weapons Which Were Great In My Opinion And Loved The Bosses!

Small update, adding a little here and there. Extending the game a bit. If you liked the base game, you'll get more of it. What I liked about this update is that you get to fight mobs from all 4 dungeons together. The extended shop also looks great.

So I grinded this 50 hours just to get all the achievements. Turns out the final Achievement that is supposed to pop when all other Achievements are completed simply doesnt pop. Thanks Obama.

Release of this DLC caused achievements to fail. Some achievements cannot be earned if this is installed, other achievement s cannot be earned without it - a scummy tactic. Regardless, the final achievement - for earning all other achievements - is permanently broken.

Developer is doing nothing.

Will update review if this ever gets fixed.

Between Dimensions really doesn't add anything new, it's pretty much more of the same in the form of a single dungeon that is about 8 floors deep.

Sure, there's some other stuff, new weapons, new monsters, and two new upgrades, one for your shop and one for a different shop to get hard to aquire items.

What the game really needs is a bunch of new content. Moonlighter could really stand to have stuff like the ability to craft your own items, upgrade your store further, decorate your store better, the ability to have realtionships with NPCs, because as it is, it's pretty shallow.

If you really enjoyed the base game, you'll enjoy the DLC as well. I however, I was not a fan of the DLC. It's basically an extension of the main game, a lot of repeat enemies and items. The amount of content is definitely not worth $8 CAD. Very slow start, I had maxed out equipment coming from the base game, but the numbers were still too high on the DLC enemies for me to make progress initially. It was also difficult to source certain materials without a shop. The haggling feature that was added did not have depth. (Also hated that character). However, once I successfully obtained the DLC equipment, all the floors became a joke because the numbers on those were undertuned. Final boss was trivial. Not a fan of the trick weapons/equipment either.
I got the DLC to pursue 100% achievements, but reading the other reviews, some people have stated that theirs was bugged. Did not happen to me personally, but it's something to keep in mind.

Don't buy yet if you are a completionist. Installing this DLC makes a couple achievements unobtainable.

Other than that, I enjoyed the content it added. Made the game fun to play for a little while longer. (Buy it on sale though, if you have the patience.)

I would gladly recommend this DLC, however I am an achievement hunter. And since this DLC appeared, a lot of achievements are bugged. That wouldn't even be a problem, however the 100% achievement remains bugged to this day, 1 year after its initial release and we even had a hotfix in the meantime. For me it won't do, until achievements are fixed and I will be able to unlock them normally, like in every game. If that happens, I'll change my review.

Between Dimensions adds a few important enhancements to Moonlighter, most notably a DLC-only endgame Wanderer dungeon where the base game had no endgame at all. Unlike the standard dungeons in the game, this one has ten floors, the best enemy diversity, and a few unique mechanics like elevators and in-dungeon weapon blueprints / crafting. It isn't mind-blowingly amazing, but did kept me occupied for an extra ten hours or so as I grinded to upgrade my new gear (the DLC weapon and armor set are more involved to upgrade because missing crafting items have to be gradually traded for with items, rather than quickly bought at the Retailer at infinite supply), earn all of the permanent Trick item variants from the final boss, and tried to get all of the rings and familiars (Mimic one seems bugged to me, egg never drops despite killing >>15). The new DLC rings and familiars are also cool enough. Overall, I wouldn't say Between Dimenions brings so much new to the table, but it does flesh out Moonlighter a little bit - which is pretty critical for an overly simplistic game like it is - and helps it feel like a more complete and satisfying experience. I played both the base game and DLC at the same time and don't regret buying the DLC.

My first playthrough of the game was with the DLC already installed, but it's quite easy to differenciate where the game ends and the DLC begins as it adds another dungeon after the regular finally and most other items and such are also added at that time outside of the Wanderer's Dungeon inbetween the floors of the other dungeons and the companions.
The companions I like quite a bit, but that was pretty much guaranteed as I generally love cute little companions.
I can't say that much about the additional Trick weapons as I mainly use one type of weapon throughout the whole game, but the concepts seem really cool and might be really nice to explore for players who like trying a bunch of different weapon styles.
The new function of trading is easy to handle like the previous mechanics [spoiler]you can easily just go a couple of numbers under the initial offer[/spoiler].
What I sought out in one dungeon where I didn't like to fight the floor boss that much was the Wanderer's dungeon as it skips the boss of the current floor, so that's pretty practical in my opinion.
In conclusion do get this DLC in the bundle with the main game, it does add to the game.

ı dont have fps problem in normal dungeons but when ım into the other dimension ı dont wanna play the game anymore becase of fps drop

I like that the developers tried to make some more content. It presents new fresh ideas, which is nice. It's not a cash grab as some current DLCs tend to be. However, the DLC offers only one new dungeon and a lot of grinding. All the grind occurs within the one single repetitive dungeon, which is not nice. The grind is strong with this one.

In addition, some of the new enemies are in my opinion badly designed. Their attacks are wayyy too hard to avoid. I like a challenge but this is just strait up impossible. It is easier just to shoot them with a bow, which is slow and boring. Just bad desing.

The grind with the combination of badly designed enemies makes me give it thumbs down.

ok so the game is good
the dlc in the other hand...
is good too but you will suffer, you're hunting through 3 levels then suddendly you find those wonderful gloves that gives loot if you hit the enemy
you're full of loot but want to continue
you unnequip the best sword and shield before dlc
you equip those gloves
you fight
enemies starts to make you drop your loot
they drop your sword and shield
you die
you lost your entire loot and your sword and shield
this is my life now
the new dlc is hurtful, VERY HURTFUl, but i find it fun
i believe this dlc is worth it, the art is great, the game is fun, the only downsides are:
recipes for full health potion are down, you can't provide igredients lowering the cost
the story is meh

DLC is fun and different enough but it's essentially 10 levels of the same dungeon. A couple of the bosses are fun but some just can be burnt down. Honestly not a lot to this - if I'd paid more than $10 I'd be bothered but considering it's a relatively cheap DLC and was enjoyable I'll gladly recommend it - just don't expect too much.

Sadly to say this DLC is neutral to a slight negative for me.

The good:
New dungeons = new monsters and mini boss to fight

The neutral:
Some of the new monsters tend to steal your items , it is advisable to bring your minic chest companion

The bad:
Traders for this game is like a hit or miss lottery.
Unable to get the desired slime weapon (bow / gloves) recipe from mini boss

Things to improve on:
1) Unlike the previous game , there is no secret room
2) Spike Chain monster is stuck due to the layout and unable to free itself
3) For ICT Trader, it would be idea to allow players to bookmark the items required so that players does not need to remember the items.

As much as I love the base game I cannot recommend the DLC. The numbers get ludicris and the battle mechanics are not fluid enough to let you finesse some enemies. Some enemies feel like you will take guaranteed damage unless you use the bow. Huge power creep and grinding is slow and random.

There's a neat trading mechanic for rarer material but that just leads to further grinding.

I haven't finished all the stages, but it is fun and if you enjoy the base game its worth buying on a sale to give you some more reasons to play the game and fight new bosses, obtain new weapons, and enjoy playing the game.

This DLC feels like an attempt to explain everything that they didn't on the base game, but guess what? It sucks.
The plot and narrative, it's poorly written containing many dialogues clichés.

This is just about the plot, there is a greater disappointment: bugs
a lot of them.
yes, a LOT.
MANY

the DLC is poorly optimized, causes FPS drops, greater loading times, some interactions have no sounds. Between dimensions has some conflicts and issues with elements from the base game too, like the trophies/achievements.
It also, increases blantantly the disbalance on the combat system. Some weapons are viables, some are complete garbage do not even waste your time trying to use them.
There is more to be exposed and more bugs, I would be tired by the end of the list with all the ones I managed to find so far, and angry by remembering all the bad moments they caused on my gameplay.

I can't see with good eyes a deployment of such a badly written, unpolished and short DLC for a game that still suffers from bugs and problems since it's release. The reading I get from the dev is the attempt to get that sweet sweet gamer money and thats it.

Content offered by this DLC isn't bad, but it's also not enough to justify a separate pricetag. All it adds is a few optional floors per dungeon and a set of gear that isn't really worthwhile.

I loved the base game but the DLC is problematic - grind heavy as others have reported and they changed a major portal mechanic without a lot of explanation.

New weapons and gear but hard to find any drops for them.

I want to love this DLC. I really do. But there are some definite issues that need to be addressed. There are numerous bugs and glitches in the DLC specifically. The main bug imo is the random freezes. In a couple hours of gameplay, there were 2-3 freezes lasting at least 20 seconds. One of those times, I had just died in the dungeon, was about to go back to town and now it's stuck with no HUD and me dead in the dungeon room.

That being said, if you can handle glitchy situations semi frequently without it ruining your experience and you love Moonlighter, get this anyway. It really does add a fair bit of content. I'm still enjoying it, even with the annoyances.

So, I have dumped about 6 hours into this DLC already and I have come to the conclusions that it is a pretty darn awesome DLC for thee price.

1. Additional story - Yes! It has More story and dialog for the characters, more inter-character relations shown, and more lore expanded upon.

2. More items - YES! There are multiple new items, weapons, armors, and potions added to the game to keep you busy with upgrades and making your character god like

3. More Enemies - Yes! There are more enemies now, stronger enemies, more bosses/mini bosses, and new ways to fight them. While some of them look similar, their attacks are different. The mini bosses also keep you on your toes (i haven't beaten this dlc yet so no clue just how many extra there are)

4. More ways to spend/make money - Yes! You get new shops, a new bartering system, A FREAKING ROOMBA! and more. The only way to get them all is to use the new systems in place

5. Bugs - Yes. As with all new content added, there are some bugs. Very few game breaking. Item duplication is a thing (such as items you give people from quests reappearing behind the store in a puff of smoke) or weapons not being consumed upon upgrading causing you to have a copy of that armor (mostly only in the new trick weapons). there are also a few bugs in combat where you can get a new enemy that wont die while having no hp left. it doesnt attack and is perma stuck in its death fade. this is far and few between though so nothing big. simply warp out and go back in.

I expect these bugs will get patched out over the next few weeks to months as the dev team receives reports.

All in all, I give this dlc a 4.5/5.

Reason? Its just as beautiful as the main game, and pulls you in quickly. It doesnt lose the flow either. that momentum you had in the end of main game caries on through. But the very few bugs slightly bring it down. i will revisit this review after i beat the dlc and as developers put out patches.
