So bspw. beim Motorrad.

Tomb Raider I
Tomb Raider II (Starring Lara Croft)
Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft
Tomb Raider: Chronicles
Tomb Raider (VI): The Angel of Darkness

PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING ME WERNER I KNOW WHAT TO DO, I PLAYED THE GAME DECADES AGO.

Decent port, controls are fiddly and frustrating though. Couldn't get a controller to work so ended up sticking to keyboard and it's painful. I'd still recommend it if you like/played the old TR games.

I was never able to play The Last Revelation as a kid, for some reason it never would work properly when we tried to install it, so I was very happy after all these years to be able to play this game. For me, The Last Revelation is the weakest Tomb Raider game from Core Design, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy. Whilst I enjoyed the flexibility and larger exploration of the levels, sometimes at times it felt that you lingered too long on a level, and you just wanted to get to the next level already. That being said, it was still another good addition to the Tomb Raider series and everything we like about Lara: exploration, action, puzzles and adventure.

Fourth game of Lara was longest so far. This time it's a little bit different than it was in its predecessors. Many new things have been added and it became much more polished. Yeah sure it's still PS1 game but much more improved. Music was little bit better in previous game but it's not that much different. Story on other hand is much more focused on Lara and level design is beautiful. Full story is set in Egypt (Except for tutorial levels which are set in Cambodia) and there are much more interesting characters. Difficulty of the game is high, but not as high as in the third game. Still, it was sometimes confusing and because I do not want to spend all of my free time playing I was forced to use guide. It's good game and I would recommend it to you.

Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation was a nice return to quality for the Tomb Raider series that I felt like took a dip in Tomb Raider III. Although many voice actors and things we expect in items changed greatly in this entry it felt like it was for the best and potentially raised the quality of the series. Although it isn't modern-day Tomb Raider I still had a lot of fun going back and beating this classic series from start to end with IV being a highlight.

When this fourth game came out there was a lot of negativity towards it, and it was well deserved. It was obvious that Eidos was milking the license by putting it out quickly and without major improvements. It's bordering on being boring, but gameplay wise, voluptuous Lara can do plenty of new things, and the new puzzles add a great deal to the game. I did enjoy playing this game back when it first came out. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2569141701 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2549169343

Serious bug that meant i could not complete the game!

Underneath the Sphinx level, after opening the first gate no other gates will open. You can obviously skip the level but it will mean leaving items you need in the next level behind.

Never happened to me before but has this time and no idea what has triggered the bug but it has prevented me from completing the rest of the game.

Good game but very angry about the bug...

What more is there to say besides this title is simply a classic. Although veterans might find revelations easy to get back into those who are less familiar with this PS1 classic can expect to be thrown for a curve in regards to the controls and the lack of forgiveness.
The game has aged well but that is easily debatable for some.

Pretty much the last great classic Tomb Raider game.

Has a lot of same ol' but still pushes new creative sequences. Traps and puzzles are hardcore.

This is a great game to play if you feel the need to experience classic Tomb Raider.

Continuing the TR marathon to TR4...

Where TR series finally stable down and has its own story to tell. Not just the previous patterns of Lara wants an artifact so we go fetch and end of story type of design, but something deeper and more thoughtful. Yet the story itself is weak in plot design and a lot of things aren't explained in this series, although they get explained later in other sequels. Since Core Design tried to kill TR off making TR4 the last of the series, the sequels are never in plan and the fans really have to thank EIDOS for insisting a sequel made so we get to know what actually happened.

Story telling seems to maintain the quality from TR3 but since they don't have a good story to tell, they gave up half way in the game, and are more focused on doing the level design after that, but yet it still turns out a bit messy in ideas, the stage play is fine, but the idea is almost like the chaos mixture of TR2, this time, mixing a lot of Indiana Jones movie props into the game regardless the geographical location of their origins...

Their main engine being overhauled and Lara's Mansion no longer an option to visit from the start menu. The Graphic still lacks punching as the 3D seamline is still painfully visible, though there are improvements here and there, just not perfect. Especially by the time this game is released, the 3D technology has been improved and other games are picking up the 3D quality in insane speed. The lack of good artists in the team and the lack of a decent story writer really pulled their leg this time round.

In conclusion... TR4 tries to be more on the puzzle solving side (fetch items and push buttons), it even has less platforming than the previous series, and since battling isn't really a main sell point since TR1 (they don't want the game to be called a shooter), TR4 lacks a lot of excitement compared to previous series. And for those who played all previous series, the lack of innovation makes this game feels a bit repetitive and dull. The ending credits shows the animator tried to add close quarter combat, seeing the game engine is matured for a RPG game, but not sure why it isn't executed in the game itself.

Anyway, this is just an extension to the existing series, even with a newer engine and better looking graphic, it's not on par with the time it's released, so the game ended up being an average. It's still a fun game for those enjoying fetch and push button repetitive play, but don't expect it to be as good as the previous titles. On nowadays standard, this is just about as good as a good DLC expansion to the original game. Nothing more nothing less.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation is another classic 3D action-adventure game with great level design, fantastic atmosphere and lovely low-poly graphics.

I have always associated archaeology with pyramids and Egypt. Therefore I am really happy with the detailed levels and lore/story of the game.

Compared to its predecessors the levels are less linear and require a lot of backtracking between them. It sometimes gets a little bit confusing.

There are also a few changes in the inventory and combat system. These include the ability to combine items and switch between automatic and manual weapon targeting. They also added a few more movement types, like rope climbing and swinging and traversing around corners.

The only downside... no more T-Rex.

If you've liked it before, you'll like it again. If you're new to the original series, you might want to try the first or third before this puzzle of a game.

Terrible gameplay, terrible level design, frustrating enemy replacements...

The controls are the same as the game engine dictates. But the awful level design makes controls incredibly hard, and worse than what they really are.

Play the first, maybe the second, than jump to the Anniversary, Legend and Underworld if you will.

Not gonna lie I didn't get very far

1) the controls are bad even for an old game
2) you can't change things to the arrow keys (even though the arrow keys are the base controls)
3) the game crashed on me
4) I got to the rope swing and had jump hotkey on my left shift key AnD It WoUlDn'T ReGiStEr (I used the left shift key for that and it worked flawlessly) 15 times in a row while being WAY behind the ledge and finally when it did register lara swan dived past the pool into the floor breaking her neck which seemed like a fitting stopping point

other things
janky animations (lara twerking when climbing cieling vines, crawling and climbing ladders come to mind)
the screen has a white border on the top of the screen, and slightly shows the desktop around the other sides

Last Revelation has great production and solid controls for an old school TR game, but is also the most tedious & frustrating game of the PS1 era titles thanks to some awkward puzzle/level designs. The fact that you can traverse multiple levels back and forth here, instead of having to focus on ONE level at a time like in the other games, makes it very hard to figure out where you're supposed to be going or if you have all the key items you need before moving forward.
Basically, it's much easier to get insanely lost in this game compared to the others. Especially considering the entire game takes place in one location.
It's a fun title despite this, but I would recommend the first three TR titles over this one every time.

I played this when I was a little kid and played the tutorial over and over again because I was to afraid to continue and I could not solve the first puzzle. After being able to play it as a adult, not only is it very nostalgic but its amazing! Much better and cooler than I remember! The puzzles make you think and they along with the older controls give a fun and fulfilling challenge. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

The Last Revelation is the ultimate Tomb Raider experience. A game that refuses to hold your hand, and perhaps even actively attempts to cut your hand off completely.

We've got a barrage of puzzles broken up with intermittent combat, non-stop Egypt, badass Lara dooming mankind, and (while wonky on the animation side at times) some of the coolest FMV cutscenes you've ever laid eyes on. The story is one of the best of the Core-era games, going hard with those sweet, sweet Egyptian mythological elements.

It's a tough call, but I would say this my favorite series. I consider it a spiritual journey to sit down and replay this game.

The most sentimentle game from my childhood.

This was one of the first games i ever played along with Doom, Hexen and Diablo. For me, it is and always will be the best installment in the Tomb Raider series. The sound, graphics and Lara's boobs have been greatly improved over the other games and it has a fresh new look with different puzzles, hidden areas and challenging enemies.

Altough the concept is exactly the same as the other three games, this one sticks out. I think it is because it reminds me of my young days so much.

A great retro experience that is even more fun playing on the PC! The ability to assign controls as you see fit on the PC version helps a lot with past grips of playing Tomb Raider on the PS. The puzzles and suspense still hold after all these years and the gratification of finally making it to the end is worth putting the hours in.
