kein coop mit mehreren controllern möglich, das ist sehr entäuschen und multiplayer nur über ip-conect.
so ein geiler klassiker und man wird um des beste daran (den multiplayer) beraubt echt schade.

Großartiges Spiel!
Auf dem Gamecube spielte ich dieses Spiel zum erstenmal, mit bis zu 4 Mann saßen wir vor dem Röhren Tv das waren noch zeiten :)
Das Spiel weckt alte erinnerungen!

Am sure i would not had play this on Xbox or Ps2 if it was SINGLE player. CO-OP was what made it different and It was Epic. SINGLE PLAYER Meh!!. For a dollar is just a collectable for me.

Vertical mouse sensitivity is *insanely* high and changing the settings in game or on my mouse do not make a difference

i couldnt get the game to work mouse accelleration was doing weird things like 10 dpi left to right but then 10000000 dpi up and down and some of the key bindings didn't work which made it so i couldn't finish the tutorial

hardware 5600x, gtx 1650

leave comment if you know how to fix i still own the game on steam

I played this game when it first came out on PS2 back in the day, my brother and i used to always play this and desert storm 2, good times, reminds me of simpler days, kinda miss them in a way.

Yeah its not aged well and controls are all over the place and you probs need to limit frame rate but its still a great game that if you play for nostalgia it will hit you right in the feels man.

Please add Desert storm 2, Vietnam and global storm/terror.

Would love to play them again without having to download them off a dodgy website.

I started the training level and tabbed out 14 times trying to fix it, but sadly my character slammed into a wall at 480 frames per second and gravity became merely a concept among the many other things long superseded by my godlike bootlicker form.
Apon booting the first level, I saw a green nightvision level intro, which I remembered vividly because as a kid I must've watched it a dozen times because my brother and I couldn't beat it and I was, like, 6. Now I'm taller and it still sucks!

The bugs make the game unplayable. As soon as I started the bugs came. This is my childhood game and I'm deeply dissapointed since I wanted to enjoy it again.

Probably better off running this with an emulator, game is buggy and the control scheme is old school.

Please put Desert Storm 2, Vietnam and Global on steam

EDIT: Use a frame limiter and limit to 30 FPS, this will make the game playable. I don't think this game was designed to run at 5500 FPS.

Conflict Desert Storm was a decent game when it came out. Unfortunately it didn't age too well, especially the controls and graphics are dated. Turning your character and aiming your weapons feels very awkward. I will recommend it only for those who played it when it first came out. Please release the remaining games from the conflict series on Steam as well:
Conflict: Desert Storm II + Conflict: Vietnam + Conflict: Global Terror.

I used to play this game with my Desert Storm veteran dad. This is a gem of an old game and deserves a play through every few years. Run RivaTuner Statistics Server and cap the FPS to 30 and the game will run flawlessly.

Really buggy! Be careful when you go down stairs or over a hill, you might get stuck in the air. The idea behind tough is pretty good!

Ah good old Desert Storm, gosh I played this game multiple times when I was a kid. While it does show ages today, it's still fun.
I have it running on my Win 10 without problem,
Follow guide here for Widescreen fix and for mouse being too sensitive, floating in air. It's related to high FPS, which is breaking this old gem.

It took me 20 minutes to rage quit a childhood game. Dont use a mouse and loaded with bugs. Will update when I use a controller.

This game is great but has a lot of problems like the save button only working at about 30% of the time. I've had to replay the first five missions about four times now. Other then that the game is an easy 8/10.

P.S. Buy this when its on sale, fuck full price!

Fun but... you or your squad get stuck in the air. you can't save over your first save file. I was almost done with mission 2 when I got stuck. Tried to save then load to reset my character but ended up back on mission one.

PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT:

If your game is buggy try this fix! Worked for me!
1. Launch Steam
2. Right click on the Desert Storm game
3. go to Local Files
4. right click on the executable
5. go to properties
6. go to compatibility
7. set compatibility to Windows XP SP3 (thats what chose)

Game should work fine. If not try other versions. In the end its an old game and doesnt receive support anymore. Hope this helps!

Game would be really fun, a nice trip back to my childhood, but it's unplayable. Anytime you try to jump off something you get stuck in the air and can't move. Can't even complete the tutorial because of it. Not to mention the mouse aiming is awful and a controller barely works. Real shame the PC port is so bad.

A Gem of an early squad-based tactical shooter, exploring a lesser-known, fleeting conflict. For such a cheap price, this game is an absolute steal, despite the dated graphics, animation, and sound. But it plays well, and although the AI is absolutely braindead, it becomes part of the challenge. But, I may be biased, since I played this in my childhood on my parents' old Desktop (the ancient ones with box monitors), and later on the XBOX after I had lost the original CD-ROM and found a pre-owned console copy at an EB Games for a couple bucks. This game will always be a good time to me, and I will always hold it high as a mark of quality.

This was a low end mediocre shooter in 2002 when it released. 18 years of collecting dust has not improved it. Worthless in 2020, there's far better games for free (and this one's not even free)

I played the heck outta this game when i was 12 on the Ps2 and playing it again brought back so many fun memories however the PC ports controls are clunky and buggy but its still enjoyable :D

Game 2 on a journey to play everything in my steam library for minimum of 30 mins and review it, before I buy another game.

To shortly summarize this game, as a product of it's time, it's actually fun. Very early days of the RB6 like mechanics, short and funny-ish quest story line. I'd say, give the game a try if you're into older games. Best to get it from a sale, wouldn't pay higher price for this anymore. Nostalgic piece of art, part of my childhood game collection.

I got this game in the Eidos bundle when they made it dirt cheap. So i saw this game and tried it. It kind of looks like the Delta force games. The gameplay is not bad, but the bugs/glitches is what makes me not recommend this game. First problem i found is the mouse, moving the mouse vertically is 100% but the horizontal is a nightmare, i maxed it out in game, but horizontal it is extremely slow, but i found slight work around. Another problems which happens often is the character will get stuck in the ground (like half body in ground/even in the air). So problem is you end up saving and loading a lot because of it. I would rather recommend Delta Force 1 before i recommend this game

for the time conflict desert storm is not a bad game, that said this pc port is full of bugs, your players and npc have a problem with getting past unlevel terrain (they can start to Floating), the training has a this problem which stops you finishing it, if you have the patience you can make it through the single player,
all in all its a game with great ideas that need alot debugging.

This game Is a terrible PC port. The controllers are buggy, there are not split screen coop. Which really, made this game worth while. Offcourse, the online feature doesn't work as well. The OG game was fun, When me and my brother were kids we would beat this game 100s of times.

On the PS2 this is one of the best games of all time. This pc port though is really wonky. Mouse sensitivity is weird. The graphics are polished and outdated instead of in the proper context on old fashioned hardware. And in the first minute i was stuck on a wall. I never experienced issues on the PS2. Still a great title that deserves recognition

I love this game, however, it glitches when I'll prone in certain places as well as when I'm climbing up or down ladders. It's pretty much unplayable at certain points. Sad to say, I wouldn't recommend this game on PC.

The first time I played this game was back in 2007. It is one of the first games I ever played, and I loved it. Today, some 12 years later, I've finally decided to get back to it and replay it on the hardest difficulty. This game is still amazing, despite its age. The graphics are decent, the gameplay is fun and challenging. The story is pretty straightforward. The music is charming and very nostalgic, however, there is only a small array of songs, so expect to be listening to the same ones often. Naturally, there are some caveats, such as no widescreen and forced mouse acceleration, although these can be fixed with some tweaking. There are some bugs, yet they do not take away from the overall enjoyment. I definitely recommend playing this game, and experiencing the gem that it was and still is.

Honestly a good game back on PS2, but this is unplayable due to high frame rate, so you would keep on floating and stuck constantly. The mouse sensitivity is also an issue straight out of the box.

Please only play it on consoles
