http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1130890333

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1130892735

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1130889540

Jetzt also endlich auch Puzzel Agent 2 durchgespielt!

While I preferred Puzzle Agent 1, the sequel still is a decent game.

Most puzzles were more interesting than the ones in Puzzle Agent 1. The story, however, had more weaknesses than strengths. While the story of the first game was enticing and mysterious, the story of Puzzle Agent 2 fell flat for me. At least they brought back the original characters and voice actors. Music and sound are awesome too. You will feel right at home in Scoggins, they really managed to bring a special place to life with those games.

If you can treat this one as a standalone game, instead of expecting a banger sequel, it might work for you. As a fan, I was a bit disappointed (plus
I didn't like the small action sequence at the end, but this is highly subjective
.)

Recommended at a sale.

By its second puzzle, Puzzle Agent 2 already demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of the puzzle game genre. Its puzzle descriptions and/or patterns are way underspecified, to the point that any number of solutions would be valid, but the game only accepts a single one each time. At that point these are not puzzles, but rather exercises in trying and failing to read the minds of the developers.

The rest of the game is bad, too. The art style is mediocre (and the lack of animations during movement is outright jarring); most animations are unskippable; voiced dialogue is frustratingly slow and can be skipped, but only entirely (i.e. you can never read ahead of the dialogue).

Verdict: Boo.

This is the exact same game as the first one but shorter - I guess the developers thought it was OK to reuse about 40-50% of the puzzles from the first game because its the sequel but I really wish they hadn't. The game only took about 3 hours with the final bout of puzzles being very simple and rushed. A slightly disappointing end to the Nelson Tethers story.

A 6 out of 10.

???? I don't want to write a review for this game, but I do want to give this game a thumbs up to help the games ratings because I enjoyed my experience with it ????

This game is significantly easier than its predecessor, but I think it was done with the intention you're fully involved in the plot and story of this game. There's a lot of questions and a lot of mysteries in this one, had me engaged all the way from start to finish in one go! Very fun.

approximate amount of time to 100%: 3-8 hours
Estimated achievement difficulty: 1/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (most likely 2.. since you'll probably mess it up).

Multiplayer achievements: No.
Missable achievements: 100% perfect is missable if you use hints or get one wrong.
Grinding Achievements: No.
DLC-Only achievements: No.
Time-gated achievements: No.
RNG-achievements: No.
Does difficulty affect achievements: No.
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No.

Fun, relaxing. Some puzzles are dated and multiple are confusing making it hard to get it right the first time. A cute little game. Although it's 100% linear, I would still recommend.

Puzzle Agent 2 to start off has a lot more bugs than the first. Also, the game opens strong until you reach the midpoint. That's when the game decides to quadruple in speed effectively destroying any story it had in the process.

Unfortunately, I don't think PA2 captures the magic of the original - the story is much more convoluted and not as interesting/intriguing and the puzzles are almost all recycled or uninteresting. This feels much more like a reskin of PA1 than a true sequel.

Same as the first game, a point-click puzzle adventure.

Graphics exactly like the first game but they fit the game well. Not as good as Puzzle Agent 1 in my opinion, the story was a bit all over the place and pretty much all the puzzles were abit too easy. About 4-5 hrs playtime.

I'd still recommend it if you enjoyed Puzzle Agent 1, which I did... but like the first one, wait for the sales.

That second part continues and concludes the whole Scoggings case with a quality similar to the first part. That game is overall pretty good, yet not in every aspect. I make a distinction between the puzzles, the story and the artistic part. And of course the game engine, but it's quite simplistic and it's probably one of the earliest versions of telltales game engine. I also saw some glitches with sprites that disappeared, mostly heads.
About puzzles, like in the first part they are simple and reused. There are a few mathematical ones, a lot of filling gaps with the right piece, and those photos you have to sort based on visual clues. It looks like a starters for those who continue then with a professor layton game. Only the number series gave me serious trouble for some reason and I could only solve them with all hints. Some puzzles were still obscure and lacking information. And one of them could have two logical answers but only one of them was the right one (of course I answered the 'wrong' one first). Don't fear to overheat your brain with that game.
For the story part, the intrigue goes tenser with time, like in the first part, up to a climax. The conclusion is however a bit weird, like rushed. I felt like it didn't fill my expectations completely. Still it was nice. In comparison, the game Pr. Layton and phoenix Wright had a better conclusion, even though many fans didn't like it.
About the art, music and overall realization, like in the first part it was well done, very characteristic and it has a unique charm. The voice dubbing is also professional. Nothing bad to say here.
My overall feeling is that a good little game that gives you a break between two bigger action or strategy games. That's why I recommend it. I'd like to see more games like that,

Not as good as the first one.

Writing is god awful for the story and about all the advancements in the plot are by sheer coincidence and are confusing as hell.

Puzzles are eh, they are 100% more clear on what the rules of the puzzle are from the first. However some of them are still awful hard.

Lastly the game is buggy as hell. There is a chance that a cutscene transition to a location will softlock your save file and delete your character which makes you unable to start any puzzles.

Puzzle Agent 2 is a great sequel to the first game as we get to continue and wrap up the cliff hanger from the previous game.

It might be because it was a long time ago I played the first game, but PA2 felt a lot more smoother playing. But as with the first game; the characters are fun, the puzzles are challenging and the story is absolute bananas!

I did like the wrap up of the story and it's interesting how there's a possibility for yet another game; although as we all know this will probably no longer be possible with the demise of TellTales games.

You definitely have to play this game if you liked the first Puzzle Agent game! If you haven't played it, play it first!!!

This is an underwhelming sequel.

While the quality of the puzzles in the first game was a bit weak, the game made up for it with an intriguing and unsettling atmosphere, interesting characters and a cleverly amusing story. This game has somehow contrived to have even worse puzzles, but even it's stronger elements have suffered.

It's a bit difficult to determine what exactly went wrong, since everything I liked about the original is still present, but my best guess is that the scale is wrong. There was a feeling of crushing inconsequentiality to Tethers' job and mission that reminded me of The Secret of Monkey Island, and contrasted with the absurdist terror of what was happening in Scoggins. Puzzle Agent 2 ratchets up the stakes and loses that, making things feel too much like an action movie.

Puzzles, plot, story background - everything is a rehash of the first installment, but this time, it's a disjointed mess. There are several grammatical errors in the puzzle descriptions, as if whoever wrote them just couldn't be bothered. There are also slight graphical inaccuracies in the puzzles themselves, and neither characters nor the agent's interactions with them make much sense. A complete letdown.

This game is called Puzzle Agent 2 so you might think it's a sequel, but it's actually the missing second half of Puzzle Agent 1. It concludes the unfinished story of Puzzle Agent, and like the previous game it is very short and easy, having only 33 puzzles (including 2 bonus puzzles you can only access after finishing the game). I completed the story and all puzzles in 3 hours. I didn't find the ending of the story particularly satisfying and the puzzles are unchallenging for an experienced puzzle gamer and are more suited for kids.

If this and Puzzle Agent 1 were a single game, I might give it a recommendation just on the charm of its presentation, but as two separate 4-hour games they're both overpriced for the experience you get. For the 15 dollars USD it costs to buy both games, you'd get more puzzles, challenge, and entertainment by going down to your local newsagent and buying some puzzle books.

It's been a long while since I played the first game, and this one has been collecting digital dust in my library since. I don't remember too much of the first game, but it was a rather nice game.

This sequel isn't much to brag about, to be honest. It is rather short and seemed a bit uninspired. There are plenty of re-used assets, because the story takes place in the same town as the first game, and most of the characters are also the same. The plot is weird, but that's okay. The puzzles range from very easy to just plain stupid. As an example, one of the puzzles has to be solved by you entering the decimal numbers of Pi. Who goes around remembering that? It's not really a puzzle. There were a couple of puzzles that actually required a bit of thinking though. The art style and everything else is the same. And again, it's a short game.

I give it a thumbs up because if you liked the first game you might as well play this one too. However, it's rather redundant. It's safe to pass.

Puzzle Agent games are top quality puzzle games. Comfy atmosphere, good characters, music and voice acting, as well as interesting setting and story. Telltale Games knew in their early days what kind of point and click adventure games to make. Even though the game is fairly short, you really want to play the game in one sitting. My only complain is that the series died before it could take off the ground.

And no, this doesn't remind me of a puzzle. Get bent Layton.

I think this game is a perfect example to show that Telltale knew how to make good games, even without Telltale’s signature quicktime-event-driven and franchise-based games.
The game is simply a loosely tied series of puzzles, with a bit of nonsensical story tying them together.
The humor is supposedly funny, but I think that mostly people familiar with Graham Annable's work will find it so.
I myself did not find it very funny (more like “hah, that’s cute” than “hahaha” funny).
But I don’t think that takes too much from the game.

The game is enjoyable.
The puzzles are fairly short, and each stands out on its own, so you can get a short session of the game whenever you have the time.
I was even able to stream it to my mobile phone, and because it’s a puzzle game, the lag still allowed me to play using my home wifi network.

The 2nd installment is not very different from the 1st one.
The environment remains the same, the puzzles are more numerous, and the story makes even less sense.
But other than that, it's not very different.

Like the original Puzzle Agent game, I thought this was enjoyable -- not too long (a few hours is probably enough to finish it), but with enough puzzles to keep things interesting. Tthe puzzles weren't too difficult to solve and the story, which is amusing, helps connect them. Since it doesn't take a lot of time to complete, I think this game is worth playing if you generally like puzzles. Hopefully there will be a Puzzle Agent 3 in the future.
