Ballerbude mit Dark Souls Schwierigkeitsgrad

Das Spiel lebt und blendet interessierte Daddler von, mit und durch seine Grafik- und Soundeffekte. Leider ist es aber von CI Games entwickelt worden, die wohl vergessen (?) haben, Otto-Normal-Spielern auch einen leichten Schwierigkeitsgrad zu geben.
Kann man zwar machen... Muss und sollte man aber nicht.
Anders gesagt... Kann man spielen... Muss man aber nicht.

Lohnt sich das Spiel im Sale für so um die 2.49€? Entscheide selbst.
Aber wenn du es kaufst... Dann... solltest du auch Frustresistent sein.
Zuweilen ist das Spiel ziemlich unfair.

Warum dann ein blauer Daumen?
Nun... Ich spiele ab und an seit 2013 das Spiel oder mit anderen Worten...

Ein roter Daumen wäre dem Spiel gegenüber unfair. ;)

Hätte gut werden können, ist es aber nicht.

er Grafik her sieht das Spiel Top aus, keine Frage, von der Sound Kulisse ist es auch ganz ordentlich. Aber das war es dann auch schon. Diesem Spiel merkt man einfach an das was Entwickelt wurde um was Entwickelt zu haben. Diesem Spiel fehlt es an Story, Vielfalt, und Kreativität. Und was dem Spiel am meisten fehlt ist Performance denn diese ist absolut unterirdisch.

piele mit 4k Auflösung und einer 50 Zoll Glotze. Ich hatte ein richtiges Ruckel Erlebnis, selbst auf niedrigeren Auflösungen und Fenstermodus läuft es nicht zu 100% flüssig, auch wenn es besser läuft.

ich aber langsam richtig nervt und das haben viele Spiele, das sich der 4k Support nur auf die Auflösung beschränkt. In diesem Fall sind es die Untertitel die noch auf 1920x1080 dargestellt werden. Da stehe ich ja voll drauf wenn ich 3m von dem TV weg sitze. Gut das Spiel ist von 2013 wollen wir mal nicht so sein, auch wenn ich es lästig finde. Warum dann überhaupt 4k Auflösung ermöglichen, wenn nicht alles passend angezeigt werden kann.

es Spiel ist vom Titel einfach nur ein scherz, ich hatte mich auf Aliens gefreut, hässlich, sabbernd, und tödlich. Was kriegt man geboten ? Kapuzenmänner mit dicken knarren in den Händen die mehr Assassine sind als Alien.

y wo ? oh, diese 33 Logs die man Sammeln kann und einem sagen lauf weiter und baller dich durch. Mehr konnte ich nicht raus lesen von diesem winzigem Untertitel.

Komme ich mal zum Fazit

hatte mich auf einen netten Shooter gefreut an dem ich mal ein wenig Stress abbauen kann, stattdessen kriege ich hier 3std absolut miese Performance, Aliens die keine Aliens sind, winzige Untertitel, und den Eindruck das die Entwickler sich nicht mal mühe geben wollten. Rage ist das einzige Wort das zu diesem spiel passt. Ich empfehle es nicht!

ich bin ziemlich gespalten, würde einen durschnittsdaumen vergeben, muss aber dann doch den daumen nach unten geben da es dem spiel an motivation fehlt um es weiter zu spielen.
positiv: flotter actionshooter,agile gegner, hübsche grafik
negativ: schlauch levels, wenig waffen auswahl, talentbaum oder ähnliches fehlt .
hat keinen wiederspielwert,alles spielt sich meist in raumschiffen oder höhlen ab.
würde lieber bulletstorm empfehlen,ist zwar gleiche spielweise aber mit motivation zum weiterspielen (besondere kills und verschiedene schauplätze)

Das Spiel ist sooo langweilig. Ja, also ein Story ist ja jetzt nicht wirklich was für FPS, aber hier ist echt Nichts geboten. Ansonsten rennt man nur durch Schlachartige Level und killt halt ein paar Gegner, die immer gleich sind oder Ähnlich.

Also bei einem FPS sind ja die Erwartungen in Richtung Abwechslung und/oder Story sehr gering. Aber das Spiel schaft es sogar als FPS Mega-Langweilig zu sein.

Das Spiel ist sehr gut.

Es ist ein First-Person-Shooter in SciFi-Umgebung, klassisch, geradlinig, bombastisch, schwer und unterhaltsam.

Wir befinden uns auf einem Asteroiden, auf dem von Menschen und Aliens lukrativer Bergbau betrieben wird. Als die Vorus genannten Aliens die Menschen vertreiben wollen, bildet Jack die Ein-Mann-Armee, die es mit ihnen aufnimmt, unterstützt nur per Funk hauptsächlich von einer weiblichen Computerstimme.

Die Geschichte ist nicht sonderlich wichtig, aber sie ist solide. Jack scherzt manchmal und diese Scherze sind sogar gut. Man kann in jedem Level (neben drei grünen Bonuswürfel) drei Audiologs einer Frau finden (sie sind etwas versteckt), die den Überfall der Aliens miterlebt hat. Auch die sind recht gut gemacht.

Im übrigen ist das Spiel aber ein reiner Shooter der direkten Art. Die Gegner sind stark, viel und sehr treffsicher. Es gibt unterschiedliche Gegnertypen, die sehr unterschiedlich agieren. Es gibt bspw. Kapuzenmänner, die ihren Kopf wegducken können (was ich so noch nie gesehen habe) und es gibt Schatten, die sich über einige Distanz fast unsichtbar machen können. Beide sind unheimlich schnell unterwegs. Dann gibt es die Behäbigen mit hoher Feuerkraft und sonst noch andere Gesellen. Sehr lustig sind die mit Jet-Pack, wenn man sie besiegt hat, denn dann gehen sie in die Luft.

Die 14 Level sind ziemlich linear. Selbst große Räume haben sie meist linearisiert, statt für Arenenkämpfe zu nutzen. Das war etwas schade. Die Gegner materialisieren an Teleportpunkten, sobald man dies durch Bewegung angetriggert hat. So kann es gut sein (auch weil ja einige unsichtbar oder zumindest leise sind), dass man von hinten überrascht wird. Einfach voranzustürmen ist (je nach Können) zwar möglich, vorsichtiges Vorgehen oder gar taktische Rückzüge verlängern jedoch oft das eigene Leben.

So kann man oft (nicht immer) den Gegnern den Wind aus den Segeln nehmen. Den meisten Spaß bereitet es aber wohl, wenn möglich wie Rambo sich ins Gefecht zu stürzen und reaktionsschnell die Gegner möglichst in den Kopf zu treffen. Explosive Kanister, die manchmal herumstehen, erleichtern die Sache. Doch der Levelaufbau macht es manchmal auch schwieriger, sich den Gegnern zu entziehen.

Ist Jack verletzt färbt sich der Bildschirm rot, dann grau. Gleichzeitig versucht Jack, sich automatish zu heilen. So kann man oft auch längere Zeit intensive Kämpfe überstehen oder man sucht sich für eine Weile Deckung. Alles in allem machte mir das Durchschnetzeln sehr viel Spaß, auch wenn die Level sich etwas ähnelten, denn die Gegner, wenn auch nicht wirklich schlau, waren alles andere als nur Moorhühner.

Es gibt drei Schwierigkeitsgrade: Anspruchsvoll, Schwer und Brutal. Manche jungen Shooter-Fans geben sich da meist lässig, aber ich denke, das Spiel hat es nicht ganz falsch benannt.

Nur die Bosskämpfe, meist gegen große Roboter, waren etwas seltsam. Denn der erste war der schwerste. Von da an wurden sie tendenziell leichter. Bin ich nicht wirklich böse darum, aber man hätte vielleicht die leichten zuerst dran bringen sollen.

Für Blut- und Körperteile-Freunde bietet das Spiel auch etwas: Die Gegner werden bei richtigem Treffer enthauptet und zerfetzte Alienteile kann man hinterher begutachten.

Jack kann immer nur drei Waffen tragen, davon ist eine immer seine Pistole, die bald recht nutzlos erscheint. Munition kann bei höherem Schwierigkeitsgrad und Streuung schon mal knapp werden, dann ist es doch gut, dass die Pistole unendlich Munition hat. Ist man gestorben, geht die gewonnene Erfahrung nicht verloren, die man dann in Boni umwandeln kann. Hat man so seine Pistole aufgewertet, hat man eigentlich (fast) alles was man braucht, um das Spiel zu Ende zu bringen.

Dann erscheint auch die Errungenschaft, das Spiel nur mit der Pistole durchzuspielen, nicht mehr ganz so unmöglich, wie man anfangs denken mag.

Manches macht das Spiel auch so unnötig absichtlich eher schlecht.

Ähnlich wie in CoD belohnt das Spiel jedwede irgendwie ungewöhnliche Aktion (z.B. Doppelkill, Expolsion, Nahkampftötung) mit einem Abzeichen, das kurz am oberen Bildschirmrand auftaucht. So was macht natürlich etwas eine Immersion (in einem Asteroiden ums Überleben zu kämpfen) zunichte, wie sie ja u.a. die Audio-Logs aufbauen wollen. Solche Dinge wären eher für den Multiplayer-Teil geeignet.
Jeder Kill wird mit Punkten belohnt, wobei man gut und gerne ein paar Nullen streichen hätte können.
Dass Jack in den Cutscenes mit einer völlig überdimensionierten Waffe herumläuft wirkt zweitklassig.

Die Grafik ist (beinahe) sehr gut. Es gibt viele nette Effekte. Feuer sieht bspw. auch wie Feuer aus. Die SciFi-Umgebung ist gut. Es gibt viele sich bewegende Teile, die auch mal von den Gegnern ablenken. Die Gänge sind nicht nur schlichte Wände sondern recht aufwendig gestaltet. Die Gegner sehen auch toll aus und bewegen sich gut. Nur manches wie der galaktische Himmel sah eher schlecht aus.

Der Sound ist gut. Die Shooter-typischen Geräusche passen alle. Die Sprecher (auf Englisch, ggf. mit deutschen Untertiteln) sind gut. Besonders die Audio-Logs fand ich sehr gut.

Die Steuerung mit Tastatur/Maus war sehr gut. Eine Umbelegung der Tasten war möglich.

Es gibt sehr viele Errungenschaften, für die man schon einiges tun muss. Teilweise muss man dazu auch den Multiplayer-Teil des Spieles spielen, was ich wie fast immer aber nicht getestet habe.

Nur einmal bin ich durch einen Glitch aus der Map gefallen. Manche Waffen waren nicht aufhebbar. Sonst hatte ich keine Probleme.

Dem Spiel wurde ja teilweise vorgeworfen ein generischer Standardshooter zu sein oder technische Mängel zu haben. Zu Unrecht, wie ich finde. Nicht jedes Spiel muss einen Innovationspreis gewinnen, um zu unterhalten. Und das technische Niveau ist sogar hoch. Es ist ein klassischer Shooter, ja, aber sehr gut in modernen Gewand präsentiert; so macht es auch ab und an richtig Spaß, auch wenn nicht alles perfekt war.

UPD: Changed recommendation to Positive, because, as middling and frustrating this B-grade first person shooter is, especially with the cheap enemies that overwhelm you with numbers, it's still more or less competently made and even has more enjoyable sections, like the mecha level.

Get it under discount, if you're in dire need of a singleplayer first person shooter that sets out to do its job without preaching at you on your own dime.

Here's how your average encounter with the enemies goes.
You enter an open area. A batch of enemies teleports right in front of you - 3-6 light troopers and 2 heavies that cheaply oneshot you with their [strike]jam dispenser[/strike] rocket launcher. You're dead.
If you're quick enough, you'll run as far back as you can, hoping to wipe the jam off your helmet before some more is passionately smeared by your opponents, and shoot from the cover, until all enemies are dead.
Re-enter the same open area and move 5 meters ahead. Another batch of enemies teleports right in front of you. Rinse. Repeat five more times, until the player quits.

More frustrating, than challenging.

Concept is interesting, but the execution falters.

If the slow paced shooty style of gunplay from Gears of War mixed with faced paced arcade-y enemies sounds fun, this game is for you.

Enemies teleport in, rush you and most move like The Flash. Most are aim bots that never miss. Controls often unresponsive. Can be fun in very, very, very small doses but very meh.

Feels like its trying be like Serious Sam but very sluggish shooting mechanics hold it down.

Amazing graphics. Great sound. Good gun play. Also it has a way to adjust FOV in settings which is nice. Some games out there need it and don't have it. Anyway in the short time I have played it I like what I see. I will recommend you play this game but at what price well I don't know.

Definitely worth trying if it's on sale. Game itself runs and plays well enough but I just can't get over how everything explodes, it's comical how almost everything just blows up. Also the dialogue is pretty obnoxious. But hey if you want to shoot a lot of things and you love get points this game is for you.

Genuinely one of the worst games by really untalented developers that haven't even probably tested the game. Unfair difficulty curve , you gt stuck in the game environment all the time. Cant even refund now cause i sat on this game over the return period. Please do not buy this game, these developers do not deserve your money.

Alien Rage - Unlimited is a FPS game, where aliens attack a Human mining operation and you have to find out what's their goal and stop them.

To be honest, graphics looks not bad, if I don't count the texture loads in my face when I start playing the game. Also sometimes character models glitch through everything, sometimes flew away.

Controls are okay, however certain actions like weapon secondary shot is pretty delayed. Not certainly bad, you can get used to it, but nothing special.

Music and sound are okay too, however there are not too many variety of sounds in the game. Music not really memorable, you know it's there, but nothing special.

Story is... well, this game just be a tough guy and take out everything. Basically the game kinda make joke about this, which was kinda fun too, however the game's story is not really worth to mention.

What about the gameplay? So, you move through the map and kill everything, collecting points with that and doing achivements. Basically that's the whole game. You can also collect bonuses or audio logs too. There are around 12 different weapon, melee attack and secondary fire modes. There are better ones and some which you want to avoid. Basically, the game is a basic shooter, even jump is barely usable, because the character can't jump high. There is a perk system, which gets unlocked throughout the game, when you collect points. This also make you stronger and that's all right too. There are bosses here or there, sometimes you need to do some tactics against them.

But for me, this game not really works. The AI is really aggressive. They either spam with granades or rush to your cover. What is even funnier, when I shot them for some times, they start to get stunned, and meanwhile they are in that state, still hit me... and they hit me whenever they want. They can damage you through walls with explosives, hit you from insane distances with melee and lot other. They can wallbang you and always hit you. The enemies also really script based and spawn in from nothing. Enemies movement is when a 6 years old kid is on coffee... they are extremly fast and annoying to kill. Also, the game in general not that easy, even on easy difficulty. I tried to play on Brutal, which is Brutal indeed... I'm not recommending that one to anyone.

Basically, the game for me became boring after 3 levels and after that I just tried how far I can go before I lose my mind on Brutal. I can't really recommend the game for the Steam price, nor any price, because I don't think it will give you that amount of fun... even when some jokes are okay and there are some easter eggs too.

This game is absolute dogsh** do not bother for even 2 dollars like I did. Every generic enemy in the game has rockets attached to their machine gun that can hit you through walls and one shot you at any point. The controls feel terrible, the dialogue is unfunny and cringe worthy, the game is just overall a heap of s*** whoever worked on this game should feel nothing but shame.

Fundamentally broken trashgarbage.

As a fan of FPS games including some lower budget releases I really wanted to like this game. Most of it works well, and it has almost everything in place to be a nice little sci-fi shooter, so it's such a shame that the entire experience is spoiled by a lack of identity leading to near broken gameplay sequences.

The problem comes from the fact that the game wants to be a modern retro revival style shooter- it has fast paced gameplay along with a high score system, so they really encourage you to get stuck in close range with the enemies racking up combos. That works until you realise that they made the mistake of balancing it like a modern military shooter -your character can only take a couple of bursts of fire before entering near-death status, and a single grenade can kill you without warning. This means you are forced to sit back and pick off enemies like a tactical shooter, but this also means that you're not going to get the highest scores possible. It's completely broken to the point that the player isn't allowed to play the game the way the developers intended.
Bonus points for cover that allows your enemies to shoot right through it, and enemy rocket attacks that enable splash damage through walls. Plus there are boss fights that have to summon waves of reinforcements because the developers couldn't think of way to make them genuinely challenging by themselves.

With each passing moment I felt my brain cells slowly fading away. Incredibly broken mess of a game, where you can get stuck in an invisible wall just because you didn't clear the enemy line in a particular order.

terrible. want's to be a doom clone but due to bad enemy placement and balancing you'll need to trick enemies into coming to you around a corner and take them down one by one. so fails terribly at delivering what it wanted to be.

also, visual style is awful, it makes enemies blend into the background making quite diffuicult to see them. environments are all the same. you really get the feeling that the game is always the same and never changes, aside of bosses which are possibly the only good thing in this game

Supposedly another mediocre FPS from CI Games in the interesting sci-fi setting, with power armor and blasters. Too bad it's not working for me, crushes right after the logo, every time. I was able to start the multiplayer .exe file, but when it comes to single play exe - it's immediately crushing to the OS. Some of my friends run it ok, while some others have the same issue as I do. And, so far as I checked, there's no quick fix on that issue, except downgrading the OS and probably hardware, to fit the game specs...

I recommend it to every FPS fan that just has to play all games of the genre. It's not a bad game, but there's some game mechanics choices I simply don't agree.
On the plus side, Alien Rage does have very nice graphics despite the grey look FPS had at the time, it plays well and it's just as exciting as a B-movie action flick, you're always shooting stuff!
On the downside, a lot of the weapons seem very similar to each other, and your very limited health pool just turns every encounter into luring enemies through a narrow corridor so that they can't flank you. Alien Rage is also too difficult for its own good and you end up using the same strategy for all firefights, so repetition comes very quickly in this game. It's not a gamebreaker to enjoy it, but it does become tiresome.
It's not an expensive game, and if you can even find it on sale, give it a go if you're an FPS fanatic =)

It's a decent fast-paced shooter. Feels like, Gears of War and Halo had a baby. Took me about seven hours to beat it, which is not a bad length.

Pro- Unique enemies and all weapons come with a special secondary ability
Lots of checkpoints
Exploding containers in every map to kill baddies
Maps are very easy to navigate
Starting pistol is very useful, even in late game

Con- Boss battles are a little boring, most feel the same
The game is pretty difficult, even on easy
Jumping is pointless and no dodging, even though movement is a big part of the game
Enemies are extremely aggressive, making the sniper rifle difficult to use
Character can get stuck sometimes, and you have to restart at the last checkpoint

Yes, it's repetitive. No, it does not have a interesting story. But, the gameplay is great for the ones who love old-school shooters. The graphics look great for its requirements. It's packed with non-stop action. That's it, if you're an old-school FPS player, (Quake, Unreal Tournament, Doom, etc.) you'll love this game. It just delivers the goods without making you go through boring videos, read a ton of text, find your way through a labyrinth or make you solve puzzles. It's a proper shooter.

Pros: Beautiful game for it's time and still looks good from first person perspective, shooting is pretty good, variety of weapons, variety of enemies/bosses, and most important- I HAD FUN
Cons: Once you overcharge the pistol- nothing else is worth using, nothing to teach you how to use the missile launcher, the difficulty is artificial most of the time, spawning enemies around you, bullet sponges, jumping is pointless and shouldnt have even been entered into the game as you have to run around every obstacle anyway, the cut scenes were what really reminded you how old the game is lol

Final thoughts: The only time I felt like stopping this game was when the artificial difficulty was getting annoying lol Otherwise, it's a fun scifi shooter.

This game does not have great reviews and I understand why. It's not exactly the best shoter of all time, but still, I had great time slaughtering aliens. A bit frustrating, but satisfying gameplay after all.

wow this game is absolute crap.

you play as dwayne-johnson-gears-of-war guy and go through generic space hallway to fight copy-paste alien robot mobs until you get to giant alien robot with big gun. the gameplay is supremely bland, the enemies are total bullet sponges, and you're flimsier than my winky after a bottle of whisky. the difficulty is out of this world (until you get the pistol perk). every poor design choice is in this game: grenade spam, bulletsponge enemies, invisible enemies, poor checkpoints, linear corridors, nauseating headbob/flinch, gimpy jumping, annoying killstreak sounds... it's kind of impressive the devs could fit so much crap into one game.

on the plus side, the graphics aren't too bad, even with the lens flare set to 1000, and i somewhat enjoyed the HO-RAH! banter between the characters. but with pc being oversaturated with fps games and you can go play halo, doom, titanfall, call of duty, battlefield, destiny, borderlands, metro, farcry, bioshock... why would you ever even touch this game?

A really piss poor game. They used a lot of energy for the looks and sound. They should have used the resources for level design and proper balancing...

Pros:
+ Looks nice
+ Sounds nice

Cons:
The main reason this game is sh*t³: unfair and highly frustrating combat system!
Basically there is always a huge group of kamikaze-enemies spawning that swarm you while disregarding their lives. They use melee stun kamikaze units, aoe ranged units, snipers and gunners. Usually from several directions usually from above and behind, often at the same time. They spawn out of nowhere and can CLOAK. They can SEE YOU TRHOUGH WALLS so they either camp you or go around the corner shooting. So much fun being ambushed when there is no sneak mechanics for you to avoid this! The game likes to lock the door/wall behind you before throwing you into a fight. In some scenarios enemies attack you through the small slids on the ground from above. If you accidently fight your way through a checkpoint while the enemies are alive you respawn inside of respawned enemies...
Enemy snipers shoot about 0,75 rounds per second. Stunners basically mean insta-death cuz the rest of the swarm guns you down. Sometimes the enemies use mounted miniguns. If you do not kill them before they reach it u r basically done and ofc there is a swarm to be fought the same time. The aoe enemies sometimes just keep running into you while the swarm is shooting.

Did I mention that you basically have a pistol and ONLY two more weapons. You always need the alien submachine gun (enough ammo!) and regularly switch your 3rd weapon cuz u run out of ammo.
You have some aoe like grenades or explosives in the level. It rarely helps. Any good weapon forbids you from running or using melee. Like the rocket launcher which has 5 shots and can be dodged by enemies. Sniper Rifle is best used in melee cuz enemies are running fast, really fast. Do not bother your 3rd weapon, ammunition is rare anway.

There is a huge difference between hard games and this piss-poor piece of sh*t. R-Type on the SNES was more forgiving!

More or less minor cons:
- Jump button ist useless
- human's weapons are weak to useless
- u can carry only two weapons and the pistol
- secondary gun mode does not seem to do anything
- many areas that look accesable are not
- boring railroading -> always run from A to B and kill everything, sometimes shoot an objective to pass -> Half-Life one had more ideas 20 years ago

Fairly entertaining if you can get past the shortcomings. The problem is there are several issues ranging from gamebreaking bugs to clunky 'jank'. Enemies are bullet sponges, but only take a few shots to murder you. By itself it's fine however the game constantly sends swarms that also have hitscan. Even that would be manageable with a proper shield/regen/health packs or decent cover. Most cover spots can be destroyed and 80% of the time bullets manage to go through walls/doors/covers unlike your own. Difficulty seems ridiculously overtuned, but you either become MLG or pray you can find a chokehold with enemies that will run to you. (some won't) On top of all of this the AI naturally has endless ammo whereas you get starved pretty often unless you headshot (seems inconsistent) every enemy perfectly in 1 hit.

Story/aesthetic presentation is decent albeit not full on AAA quality. That said, there is excessive visual clutter so it can be difficult to see enemies and level layout. Worst of all there is overdone knockback and head bob/swaying which makes you feel like a ragdoll in some meme physics simulator. Guns are interesting enough yet somehow you do less damage than your enemies. (or perhaps its the health sponge effect)

Checkpoints are too few and placed in particularly terrible locations. I had to restart a level 70% in because there was a swarm of enemies, multiple turrets and had crap for ammo. I even gave that a try a handful of times until the game wouldn't let me shoot, change guns or melee even exiting out and resuming from checkpoint.. so full restart fun.

It got the aliens and the RAGE down with what a clunky overtuned infurating mess this was. Worthwhile if you are a masochist, I guess.

Based on my own experience of the early hours of the game its unfair as fuck.
Enemies rush the player no matter the type they just keep coming forward like a bunch of gun toting berserker vikings without ever retreat. My dude is with no armour and acts like a god among men even though he dies multidozen times from the overwhelming barrage of enemies.

The performance is also meh even though the recommended requirements are less then my pc it feels like running Crysis 3. There's also a frustrating glitch of respawning in a area with enemies behind me and in front of me. Had to restart the mission dozen times because the game 'feels sorry' for me and respawns me ahead in the level.

I like the Bulletstorm style gameplay and Unreal/Gears style weapons and artstyle even if it has no unique personality like those games it makes up in action pack frenetic combat.
This game can definitely be a lot fun for players that like 'modifying' their games but as it is I wouldn't get if you want to play your games as they come out the box.

- Every boss is the exact same
- Fundamentally two different enemy types
- Every level feels the same

A generic SPACE MAAHREEEN FPS that makes even the term generic seem original. Play it if you want to experience a truly mediocre, bland and banal but functional game.

i remember getting excited when this game was about to release, def was not dissapointed. Bought it on release, very challenging which is what made it so freaking good. The battles, the little scene they would make before you started that tough battle that you were about to be forced to fight, was awesome.

would not recommend playing with controller as you need the precise movement and accuracy from keyboard and mouse.

If you are a serious FPS gamer and dont mind a challenge then this game is brilliant! I absolutely love it! But if you prefer to feel like a top notch player by breezing through stages then I would avoid this game, because you will DIE! Again and again and again. Even on the lowest setting, this game is a killer of NOOBS! It eats NOOBS for breakfast and poops them out all over the space station floor for us real players to get on the bottom of our boots. 5 stars.

Just bought this game in a sale and iam actually really enjoying it,dont bother trying demo 1st as i found it was no where as good as the final product.
But if you enjoyed Bulletstorm then is actually not a bad cheap copy.
I'm running this at full settings and im rather impressed

hell yes i would recommend this game it is amazing the multi play isnt they anymore unless you create your own server via lan but its pretty easy to fix up so those achievements can still be obtained if you want them. other than that the game play is really good

Stay away from this game: The head bobbing will make you physically sick. This camera wobble cannot be corrected with settings nor mods. BTW, believe it or not, the ini files are encrypted. I cannot for the life of me get into the head of the developers. I have requested a refund.

Perfectly decent game. Basicaly it's a sci-fi shooter with some arcade finish. Story isn't worth mentioning - it's basicaly a placeholder tale of why do you have to go and murder a bunch of aliens.
Buy it on sale if you want to get a basic, quite fun (although challanging at times) rather solid FPS game. It's not 2016's DOOM, but it's worth playing if you're bored, and after that to never touch it again.
Also, multiplayer is as dead as Epstein, so unless you have a bunch of friends you can't play it, and as such, getting 100% achievements is nigh impossible.

There is a thin line between challenging and annoying, this game crosses that line. It's really annoying. You are fragile. On any, and I mean any, difficulty, you will die from a couple of shots. The alien designs are... interesting. The voice acting is pretty good, and the models aren't half bad, the story is also interesting, but the gameplay is just terrible. The guns feel weak, you're weak & they're strong.

I don't like Alien Rage. The thing is we were both available, perhaps not emotionally, but available nonetheless. It's your fairly standard, generic FPS that borrows heavily from every other successful FPS in the last decade before its release. What could go wrong? Just about everything. While the models look snazzy that's about the only good thing this has to offer aside from some cool boss battles. The story lacks power, emotion, and creativity. The levels are poorly designed and buggy. Not to mention seeing the same three colors for 7 hours is headache inducing. Gunplay and movement are horrid, and my lord the view bobbing is atrocious too. Difficulty is bad in all the wrong ways as well. I'm honestly surprised I managed to finish this with how poorly thought out it is as a whole. If you're reading this review take my advice, hit the back button up in the top left corner of the client and never come back to this page.

Think I'm about halfway through this and just hit peak frustration. I put this thing on the easiest mode just to bounce through it and get the story. I know its not a great game so why make it any more painful than needed. However, I wouldn't say this was enjoyable. The game is largely generic gray and silver corridors, some of which are copy/paste because you'll see the same areas a couple times which isn't terrible necessarily. Graphics are decent and sound is ok too.

The biggest problem is the enemies and cover. There are times you have a lot of bad guys shooting at you with little to no cover. The boss fight I'm on has this relentless mech thing chasing me around that has all kinds of ordinance to fling out, meanwhile my screen is pulsating red nearly the whole time cuz I'm half dead through a large portion of the battle. The thing before this was an on rails ride with a gatling gun. Sounds fun right? Wrong, you die repeatedly to whatever and have to keep redoing this mess until you get it done. Before that was an onslaught over a platform or elevator or whatever. It all looks the same after a point.

Now I'm sitting here debating if I actually want to try and finish this. It's not a completely garbage game, but it definitely gets extremely frustrating. Oh, I'd also mention that this is really a first person Gears of War clone. The main guy looks like Marcus, shoots a gun that looks like Marcus' and is shooting aliens underground trying to take their fuel source. Really heavy Gears vibe. So maybe just go play that instead.
