Orcs Must Die! Unchained katapultiert das Spielerlebnis des preisgekrönten Action-Tower-Defense-Games Orcs Must Die! mit dem neuartigen 3-Spieler-Gameplay in ungeahnte Dimensionen. Orcs Must Die! Unchained spielt in derselben Fantasy-Welt wie seine urkomischen Vorgänger. Allerdings sind seit dem Finale von Orcs Must Die! 2 einige Jahre ins Land gezogen. Dutzende neue Rifts verbinden dutzende neue Welten. Helden kommen von nah und fern und kämpfen in einem epischen Krieg um die Kontrolle dieser magischen Tore. Seit Orcs Must Die! 2 sind Maximilian und Gabriella damit beschäftigt, den einst mächtigen Orden wieder aufzubauen. Doch ihre neuen Feinde, die Unchained, sind eine gut organisierte Armee, angeführt von ihren eigenen, bösartigen Helden.

Orks verhauen und Fallen bauen
Der hochspannende, klassische Genremix aus Action und Strategie geht mit Orcs Must Die! Unchained in die nächste Runde. Stürze dich mit deinen Freunden ins Getümmel und kämpfe dich durch unzählige neue Monster! Errichte ein undurchdringliches Labyrinth aus Fallen, um deine Feinde zu zerstückeln, zu zerstampfen, einzuäschern und zu filetieren, bevor sie ins Herz deines Rifts vorstoßen können.

Was macht noch mehr Spaß, als Schergen mit einer Falle zu entsorgen? Weitere Fallen aufstellen! Spiele neue Fallen frei und mache sie dann noch tödlicher, indem du sie upgradest. Echte Actionhelden

Jeder Held bietet dir andere Möglichkeiten, die Orks schmerzhaft und kreativ ins Jenseits zu befördern. Deine alten Freunde Max und Gabriella kämpfen Seite an Seite mit neuen Helden wie Blackpaw, Hogarth, Stinkeye oder Bloodspike. Spielst du gerne den strahlenden Helden? Oder stehst du eher auf fiese Schlägertypen? Egal, wofür du dich entscheidest, bei dieser Heldenauswahl ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

Metzeln, so wie du das möchtest
Im Spielmodus „Überleben“ kämpfst du dich gemeinsam mit zwei anderen Spielern auf die Spitze des Orkhaufens. Dieses kooperative Spielerlebnis wird jeder „Orcs Must Die!“-Fan lieben. Wöchentliche Herausforderungen und tägliche Quests bieten dir die Möglichkeit, zusätzliche Fallen und Einzelteile freizuschalten. Einer der beliebtesten Spielmodi, der Endlos-Modus, kehrt in Orcs Must Die! Unchained zurück und kann jetzt sogar mit drei Spielern in Angriff genommen werden.

Orcs Must Die! Unchained ist für mich aktuell eines der Beste F2P Spiele auf dem Markt. Lässt sich problemlos ohne Geldeinsatz spielen. Wer trozdem Geld investieren möchte, kann schon durch eine kleine Investition (10€) einen sehr großen Sprung nach vorne machen.

Positiv:

- abwechslungsreiche Karten...
- viele unterschiedliche Charaktere
- verschiedene Schwierigkeitsgrade...
- jedes mal neue Spielverläufe...
- Fallen zum upgraden...
- ansprechendes Gameplay...
- Hohe Identifikation mit den Vorgängern

Negativ:
- ... die auf Dauer langweilig werden
- teils lange Wartezeiten
- ...die im Late-Game nicht viel Unterschied machen
- ...meistens mit den selben Aufbauten pro Karte
- ...was auf die Dauer sehr teuer wird
- ...mit vereinzelnt sehr frustrierenden Bugs

Seit dem Aussstieg vom Gameforge läuft das Spiel um einiges stabiler.
Robot Entertainmant arbeitet nach wie vor an diesem Spiel und veröffentlicht neue Inhalte. Leider kann dies auch immer negative Folgen haben. Für mich ist die Herausnahme vom PvP-Modus (ersetzt durch einen halbherzigen Sabotage-Modus) einer der größten Fehler die sie gemacht haben. Auch zu einzelnen Reworks von Charakteren kann es kommen, was nicht positiv bei jedem Spieler ankommt.
Allerdings halten sich solche einschneidenden Veränderungen sehr in Grenzen.
Dei Entwickler legen allerdings einen großen Wert aufs Ballancing, wodurch es nicht den einen Königsweg gibt. Durch die Weekly Challanges und Daily Quests werden auch immer neuer Anreize geliefert schon bekannte Maps und Charaktere nochmals zu spielen.
Am Besten lässt sich das Spiel mit 2 Freunden spielen oder Spielern die das Spiel können. Denn ein einzelner Spieler kann einem das ganze Match kosten.

Zusammenfassung:
Das sehr gute F2P Spiel lässt sich problemlos lange Spielen, ohne das es langweilig wird. Allerdings sollte man immer mit gleichguten Spieler zocken, da der Einfluss eines einzelnes Spielers sehr hoch sein kann (positiv wie auch negativ). Im High-LvL-Bereich fehlt aktuell leider Spielinhalte die das Spiel auch hier am Leben erhalten. Allerdings können wir durch immer neue Inhalte gespannt sein was Robot Entertainmant noch für das Spiel entwickelt.

THIS GAME WAS FUN!!!
I played it on PS4 for hundreds of hours.
~This is proof of how a bad pricing model ruins a game.
The game was fun because you had alot of characters to farm and level up.
This was the fun part..
I didn't mind buying the paywalled character paks,.
I just waited for the sale and boom...
But sure enough they added all the micro T nonsense like quick level up crap...

~I esp liked the level designs & the traps..
I haven't played OrcsNustDie 3 yet but had this had this game had a normal $20 price tag
then IMO it would be the towerDefense version of Team Fortress with longevity for sure...

~I showed up late to the game & servers shut down about 3 months after i started playing...
/Such a shame.
the game was alot of fun solo too.....

I really liked this game, and somehow got to it's store page despite it being unlisted, so If anyone sees this let it be an obituary to a good game.

A cacophony of awful decisions made over and over at the cost of fans to please foreign markets killed this game.

OMDU had good ideas, assets and gameplay, which was undermined at every update. Marketing money pissed into the wind by out of touch marketers, ideas with no fallow through and a plethora of development time flushed by those in charge going through the motions of F2P games with solid fanbases while not understanding them.

RIP, you ugly wonderful time sync o7

Best orcs game to date better than omd3, the leveling of heros and picking talent points was huge compared to the spacebar diffrence in omd3 and diffrent health mana values. this game actually had end game to be able to farm max difficulty maps for parts to upgrade your traps was an actual grind and needed a lot of time to upgrade and the upgrades were amazing and gave huge value to you putting in the time to get those upgrades. Bring this back or atleast include all the features of unchained maybe not the pvp portion but i dono maybe some people liked it.

its so sad robot had to take this game down since it was one of the best free to play games out there, rlly wich they would re laucnh this game either remasterd or just relaunch it again cause there is so much potential for this game and when they could even make it a pay to play game so they can keep the servers up and runing or sell it to epic games or something i just beg robot entertainment to relaunch this amazing game

Bruh if your are ganna shut the servers down at least add a single player / offline mode to the danm game or hell even add the ability to host a server for just yourself and friends.
The game was fun to play with friends.
im actually a bit salty that i cant play it now and i aint ganna fork out another $40 just to play the next one

R.I.P to the game I knew but never had a chance to play. I'm going to recommend this game even though nobody can play it, in hopes that Orcs Must Die 3 comes to Steam one day as I have no interest in playing it on Google's Stadia platform which will probably be dead within a year or two anyways. We'll probably get the game last on Steam in about two to three years from now, I bet everyone that the devs are already in contract talks with the A-holes at Epic for an exclusivity deal, just to F over everyone that uses Steam....

Edit just realized it's coming out on Steam soon, I must have missed the memo, too many TPS reports these days I guess.. Whoops!

They took a beloved franchise and made it into a roaring dumpster fire. Think of a game you loved 10 years ago. Now think of everything wrong with modern F2P / freemium games instead. There, I just saved you 10+ hours. Hard pass on this hot mess.

I loved playing this game by myself and with friends. I would always hop on and have a blast. The game-play was to die for and I cant say I've found something to replace it since. I'm extremely sad this game went down and hope that something similar comes out soon. I miss it more than I like to admit, and I hope it brought others as much joy as it brought me.

Greetings Again! I had reinstalled this game from a long list that I needed to revisit and review. Unfortunately this game is dead…not from lacking of players or updates but you cannot play the game in any fashion. This is incredibly sad as I really enjoyed the ‘Orcs Must Die’ gameplay loop. I was about to give this a positive review in solidarity but read through some of the other reviews and they swayed me to add to the negative reviews. Why? A game such as this should have an offline version. I understand wanting to disable servers due to financial reasons but purchasing a game should entitle someone to at least play the game in the single player function. So with that said, here is hoping they continue this series one day. I would normally say enjoy but…you can’t so…look longingly?

Orcs Must Die 2 was an awesome game!
This sequel is a bad try at forcing it into a different type of gameplay. A huge disappointment.
What they would have needed are more monster, custom map creator, more traps, better character options and better graphics. It would have been golden!
But this is so bad I dropped it after 3hours while I played OMD 2 for over 500hours.

Would have recommended but they shut the game down after only a few years. If they were going to shut it down, they could have at least offered a small patch to allow for single player games or ptp networking. We didn't NEED the servers. Nobody asked for that in the first place. And if you spent money on the game, too bad. Yes, we know games arent going to stick around forever, but this is one that could have easily been updated to allow player to continue playing without the online servers.

Bought game, played 80 hours and wanted to play again later. Always on requirement meant that shut down servers meant you can never play the game again RIP fun, game was great on single player but I guess screw the players

The game died because the company could not support server costs and its a damn shame because it was a fucking blast. Why this game died and Dungeon Defenders II lives is a mystery to me. Please re-release the game with Peer to Peer networking and I will pay $$

i remember playing this game with my brother we had fun......

i wanted to play it alone after along time of not playing and i am sad and heartbroken that the servers are down.

i and many people have no problem paying to get an offline version of the game with local co-op only please.

i want to play with my brother again
