Geschichte

The Game is indeed fun. But the Grind is noticable. Further more are free to play player on highler level on a disadavantage compared against paying players because of the avalibilty of modules and the economy.

Also: Pay-to-Win

Even harder P2W then Warthunder but in space with no balancing in matchmaking meaning youll play with a team of low quality fighters against pay 2 win premium fighters that will pummel your sheit in. PVE isnt any better either. It takes ages to finish a game of PVE and the rewards are trash meaning endless grind just like warthunder. Overall this is warthunder in space without tanks but a lot worse which sounds hard to believe considering how bad WT is but yeah, this is worse. Id rather get dodod on by a bunch of turms and xm-1 bs then play another hour of this.

years ago it was a great game, and the groundlaying flying mechanic still is - but matchmaking, bots disguised as players (yep, you read right, they disguise low playercounts with bots!) and the insane grinding just suck!

also it's pretty much pay2win, with overprized dlc's for what they offer! (even at sale, wich btw was their original pricing)

Pretty damn good game despite the low playerbase. But even then, it more than makes up for it with the vast open space, sheer amount of ships available and even more lore - though the lore isn't exactly spoonfed to you like most games and you will have to go looking yourself. Worth a search though.

The ships themselves are all also pretty damn unique and fun to fly, and the rank of the ship by no means dictates their effectiveness in combat when it comes to pvp. Sure, a Tier-17 ship will have more tools at their disposal than a Tier-5, but I have seen times in open space where a lowly Dagger-class interceptor managed to beat a high-tier Jaguar-class fighter. In simple terms: Pilot skill and knowledge of their craft is more important than the tier of a ship.

It's Pay (or Grind) to win. if you don't A) pay for the newest ships constantly and / or B) grind like hell to get the newest ships, it ain't worth playing. even if you get the good ships, good luck learning how to fly em. the learning curve in this game is fine, but as soon as you hit T3 +, especially now with how drastically small the player base has become, you get shunted into matches with top tier players, and you get railed because they aren't on your team , or you get to ride on their coat-tails, which is ok I guess. Matchmaking sucks, and the only reason I stuck around for so long was because I found a great team to play with, and pretty much all the people who I played with when first joining have left for many of the same reasons I have. The combat is feels SO GOOD, and it could be an absolutely electrifying game if it weren't for devs that just don't know how to balance a game (or intentionally make it unbalanced so you're forced to grind or buy your way to victory). Will I probably play this again? yeah, I'm a sucker for the combat. but would I recommend anyone else join? hell no. spend your money and time on better games.

I played it and it seems to have potential but that potential is crushed by the monetary scheme and the progression rate. I played with a few people and they all seemed like there were bots because they just kept typing into the chat things like 10, 10,10 and I had no idea what that meant. No one explained anything and it was super weird.

I'll come back and check on it in a few years.

Increasingly grinding and pay to win.

I tried to give it a chance after years - I stopped to play it because the game was stealing the in game currency, galactic standards, which was hard to earn playing it and is supposed to be bought. Well, in less than two hours there more than 200 of these disappeared from y account. I found some old thread where people were complaining about it, the solution was to lock the thread to prevent adding new comments. Make your own conclusions.

After 37 days of participating in the event to build Protazan ship.
I see that I will not be able to do this. I spent 500 Xenochips for some package and now after 37 days I see that these 500 Xenochips was necessary to have 2000 Xenochips that needed to purchase the Protazan cabin that was unlocked and visible in the shop after just these 37 days. Very strange and nasty approach.
I see that this game is not for me. I don't want to grind for nothing.

Just don't play it if you don't plan on grinding your life or not eating anything for months because all your money went into the game.

It was a very enjoyable game at some point, a few years ago, when you could get good stuff just by playing casually
now, the devs took EA as their mentor and want only money

I wouldn't recommend this game to people like me. It's a good pure space combat game, often with much of the usual 'move the cursor after the arrow representing the direction of the enemy' going on. It's pay to win and the lobbies are not as full as they used to be.

Crashes on startup on linux. Next to no relevant troubleshooting help to be found, and what little I did find was shut down by moderators on their own forums. So I did what little I could, spent the better part of two hours trying to get it working and still can't get to beyond the opening cinematic. If you've been around this long and you can't have better self-troubleshooting resources available, you are not worth any more of my time.

Fun game. Game mechanic-wise it's a bit of an arcade shooter, but with surprisingly deep customization. Lots of game modes make for great variety - co-op skirmishes against AI, arena PVP, open space (PVE and PVP), a simplistic treasure hunting/mining capability. Open space is BIG (not EVE big, but plenty big), and there are plenty of ships to buy/upgrade. Some have mentioned P2W: it's true that money can be spent on ships, but that won't make you win. I speak from experience - I lose PVP regularly, but have a blast in the process. Have only just scratched the surface. Also, in mid-2021 the game is quite active. Finding a PVP/PVE skirmish is about a minute - sometimes more, sometimes less. Would recommend.

Very good and fun game. If you are a new player, it will be a bit difficult for you to adapt to the game, but as time goes on, it will be more and more interesting for you to play.

The game has very good support, as well as very good and communicative developers. In many games this kind of positive approach by the developers is very hard to find, but in the Star Conflict game you will always have.

Anyway .. Nothing makes sense in the game .. If the devs wanna do something good .. Bring back the vanilla version with a few tweaks and that's pretty much it .

The content of this game is avaible if you are ready to drop 300+ EURO. Otherwise you will grind for many years.Even if you drop the money then you find out there are not many players in this game. On steam chart it is 180 players online on average last month.

GRIND: I will explain it simple. To build strong ships you will need things. You can get 5, 10, 20 things per day depending on how much you play. To build one special ship you need 4000 - 5000 things. In the game there are more then one special ship... but If you drop 100 EURO you can get 5000+ things easily then you can build and unlock, upgrade one special ship - still will need to grind credits unless you decide to buy them too(more EURO).

PvP: Because there are not enough players the developers have written code that will fill the teams in PvP mode with bots. The PvP is 7 vs 7 or 8 vs 8, but usualy only 1 or 2 players in each team are human, the rest are bots. Even if there are few more players online for PvP the teams will be filled with same people every game simply because very few people play this game (because its endless grind to unlock the game content). And PvP is featured as the main mode in this game......

PvE there are people who played the game for that many years and their ships doing 20 - 50 times more damage then the new players. Every player in PvE can choose the difficulty, then the lowest chosen is played. If the weak player choose low level difficulty, then the misssion will be very boring for other players and very low reward. If the weak player choose high difficulty(allowing other players to play the difficulty they want) then the weak player will be useless.

This game is not recommended.

Great game, but the pve scene is being ruined by bots and afk players running grinding scripts. More often than not these players will drift off into a random corner of space spamming their guns and using random abilities. They do just enough to avoid being auto-flagged; which reminds me of people in WoW battlegrounds that ran macros to jump every couple of seconds. These guys make the missions much harder if not out-right impossible to win since they're not actually helping. This is especially true on the harder missions settings, which most people use by default now since the player base is older and more experienced. The grind and p2w aspects never bothered me since I don't get involved in that stuff. They have to make their money so whatever. I just like to hop online every now and then and do missions with random people. It's a quick burst of exhilarating team based fun. I haven't found any games similar to it. I would say every 2 out of 5 rounds are filled with botters now, though, so having any fun is a real crap shoot. The western player base is smaller, too, so once you encounter a cheater you're usually stuck with them in the same que for a few hours. I have consistently reported the same people for weeks in a row and continue to see them to this day. They could at-least let you block people so they aren't placed in the mission que with you. If I have to wait longer than so be it. There's nothing more frustrating than being constantly placed in the same mission as the people you have reported for botting a million times. I would happily play a monthly fee for such a great game if they would simply deal with the people ruining the experience. I think the game is dominated by chinese and russian players, so maybe they don't have enough (if any) english admins to police things. It's still a fun-ass game, though - just sucks to see the potential withering away.

developers are consistent with updates and respond to community feedback with how updates grow. The game has evolved over the years and is still a learning curve after 1021 hours of game time, there's much more potential this game has to offer. I would look forward to a in depth plot/rpg and rich story line content to be an additional part of open space would massivly expand the game to epicness. one hopes!!.

This was an incredibly fun game for a while - The early P2W elements weren't originally so bad because if you played a reasonable amount you could reach the same power ceilings as premium players and make it fair though effort. There have been other hiccups of course, but the dynamic totally changed with the introduction of Destroyers - The grind to get them without paying is hilarious, and most of the game is balanced around you having whichever is the best one at the time, such that if you choose not to fly one you'll be missing out on most of the content. Way too much Pay2Win now.

For those who care, their MacOS support has been deprecated for almost a decade. The devs never made the move to bring the Mac client to 64bit and didn't transition from OpenGL to Metal or Vulkan, so if you want to play on a modern Mac your choices are either Boot Camp or Parallels.

Avoid this game at all costs.

Extremely bad matchmaking. PvP is half filled with bots, anyway. Dunno why they bother calling it PvP.

Bots are severally lacking in braincells, but have insane modifiers slapped on to compensate. Alien bots will 2-shot you and frigate bots have hitscan weapons and therefore DO NOT MISS and will delete any ship below another frigate

Technically not pay to win, but it is the most strong armed attempt at making you buy stuff I've ever seen in a videogame. Some ships take months to over a year to build or you can buy a $180 dollar DLC to get them. Choice is yours.

The game is super unbalanced and has suffered immense power creep in order to be real flashy. Some new features have pretty much killed the balance of most game modes Skirmish (PvE), Spec Ops (Raids), and co-op missions are pretty much complete jokes after the introduction of things like Seed chips.

Incompetent developers. There are massive bugs such as unkillable ships in the game that have not been fixed in years and each new major update is poorly thought out and introduces more insane bugs.

These people are the antithesis of good game developers. The content they make is half-assed and overpowered and they charge extortionate amounts of either time, money, or both to get it.

I would highly advise against touching this game, and if you do, don't buy anything. Because that tells the devs that the shady marketing practices they do are alright. This game would be much better off dying and having another one like it rise up and take its place.

Used to be a really cool game. Co-op is all I play.
But now, co-op is complete trash due to a certain long-ago update that killed balancing.
I literally have over 1500 hours in this game. I wish I could say it was good. But I don't play it anymore, and I don't recommend it.
Co-op isn't even pay to win anymore. Every time you complete a mission, you get a unique currency that is used to permanently increase your damage or hp (only applicable for co-op). You get more of that currency if you beat a higher level mission. There is no limit to the level of a mission. You cannot buy this currency in any way, you can only earn it.
To make it all better, matchmaking is also complete trash.
So here's what happens. You get this monster of a veteran with their stats at over lvl 200...getting matched with a noob at lvl 1. Because they're a noob, their default settings are set to select the mission level the highest that THEY'VE completed...and the game will go with the lowest level selected among the 4 players in the party. Most noobs also don't know to change that level to be any higher. Frequently, the veterans are forced to play low level missions, where they 1-shot boop all enemies, even bosses. Meanwhile, here's this poor noob who didn't even get to shoot their gun. At the end, noob had no fun, and veteran had no fun or any meaningful rewards.
It can also go the other way, where the noob does change the mission level to be really high. In this case, the noob gets 1-shot by the slightest sprinkle from an enemy. Veterans usually get to their high level by playing with premade teams in their alliance, boosting their mission levels than they can individually handle. So often times, when we do play high level missions, we lose.
All the while, you'll always have someone hating on you for not selecting a higher level mission. Or on the other hand, selecting a mission level you can't handle. Sounds like BS? It is.

Only good thing I can say, is that the last time I gave this game a try, at least it seemed they had servers in America. It's a Russian game. It's common for your ping to be 250+ with frequent spikes. Lately, it's been about 60 for me. Gratz on that I guess.
But really, don't play this game. co-op broken. pvp actually is p2w.

It's good but it's not as free as it looks, but it's not bad enough to thumb it down, so this is a tentative recommendation but with a few warnings.
---

You can definitely get a good taste of the game before deciding whether you are willing to pay to go deeper, and there really is a rather extensive amount of content if you want to focus on space combat simulation.

There's not much else to it beyond that though, story is mostly just background noise, there's no out-of-ship exploration. It's just one ship combat after another with visits back to your hangar for repairs or a new ship type. If that's the simplicity you are looking for while having a pretty in depth set of space-combat interactions there's a reason to at least give this a try. If you are looking for anything other than ship combat though, give this a hard pass.

The game is also awkwardly balanced, some would call it poorly balanced, but it leans more into wanting to give a variety of experiences and some of the weak designs are intentional to give you choices of how to handicap yourself for the challenge. A game like this might actually be boring if every ship was equal to every other ship, so balance isn't really the goal here so much as variety of ways to experience the combat.

You may also see complaints that the game is pay-to-win but I disagree. I can come down pretty hard on games with microtransactions or hidden costs, but everything here is pretty openly on display and none of it's really pay-to-win it's mostly pay for options and a lot of it's cosmetic and easily ignored.

If you do decide to pay for some of the upper tier things, you know what you are getting and the choices are pretty straight forward and clear. The game doesn't expect you to buy everything available but rather to customize your experience to what you want out of it. I would suggest asking questions to the community about anything you aren't clear about (though I feel like the in-game descriptions provide most of what you would need to know) but I never felt like a second-class player even with just mostly free stuff and a few purchases here and there just enhanced the experience without feeling forced.

It's a very fine line (to me) between games that have optional payment systems and games that are outright abusive with it and despite there being a lot of options here that could total up to a rather high price if for some reason you wanted them all, I never felt like it abused what was on offer.

Anyway if you wanted variety beyond ship combat there's better games for you to go looking for, you won't live in the world being a merchant or explore new worlds or mine for minerals, the game is unencumbered from all the daily-life tasks that some of the bigger games can tack on for other playstyles. But as a ship-to-ship space combat simulation it's quite robust and you'll have more than enough time in free-to-play before deciding if the game is worth spending anything on to go deeper.

Beyond that it is a tiered progression system that may require some grinding to get deeper, but that's somewhat the point. But the grinding is all combat, so if you enjoy combat, it's not really a grind. There's never a point where you just stand around digging or waiting for progression ticks, go kill something and have fun.
----

Bottom line: The focus on ship-to-ship space combat simulation means it's a rather narrow audience, but it's good at what it does and your options are pretty extensive before you have to make any decisions about bothering to pay actual money for more.

Wasnt a bad game per say, but probably wont hold interest for a long period of time.

Installed. played for 3 ish hours and un-installed

fully upgraded a tier 2 ship, flew around getting 30 kills a match against higher tier ships. lol'd and uninstalled

matches are interesting and generally pretty short
took about 1 minute to que for each match. matches lasted generally <5 minutes
pvp and pve modes.

Feels fine in the first 5 hours then you realize that when a ship of yours dies you have to grind money to repair it.
It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't constantly get griefed by other players since they're all public instances.

Well after spending a bit on this game i realised that these developers are just solely money grabbers. Bought 4 Ellydium ships so i could contribute towards keeping the servers alive and in development yet at the same time giving me a goal to achieve as you have to level them up, then bought a premium ship to earn XP for them ships. Well, found out the 20% free xp you get from the ship is the miniscule amount, the actual xp you earn you have to pay for yet again with galactic standards. Wasted a day earning xp to find out that the 575k xp i earned costs 3800 GS to transfer to another ship. They just want to keep taking your money. Premium ships are useless unless you don't plan on using them to gain xp. I think i earned 60k in none cost xp after using a prem ship, you can earn that in 2-3 matches using the ship you want to level up.

If you want to support the development of the game then just be weary, they try to take every penny you want to donate and then more. The final reason for the negative review is them charging 25000 galactic standards for a couple of paints, it's 35 quid for 15000 galactic standards.

If you plan on being a pure free user then you will enjoy the grind, it has pve missions, pvp missions, open space where in certain places you get a mixture of both pve and pvp. Conquests where your clan can fight against another clan for dominance of a certain sector. Even space ball.

Really wish i never spent my last bit of only money i had on a premium ship.

Has really good gameplay and class system (like engineer, recon, gunship...) nice weapons and art style, but in the recent updates they decided it would be a good idea to make the game pay to win.

Now we have engineers (Scylla) with more dps than gunships and they tank more damage than guard frigates.
Also the only destroyer worth playing is the Zeta every other destroyer is garbage compared to it.

Dont even ask me why the gunships class with highest burst damage also is the fastest in the game and if that wasnt enough gunships can also be invulnerable for 2.5 secs.

Pay to Win game of the year. If you don't have $100's to spend to get to rank 17 ships fast dont bother playing. I have a rank 15 premium ship and get shot down in .3 seconds. I liked that game years ago when they had better balance in gameplay. now I cant seem to get kills because it would take years for me to do any damage to a ship. PVP is awful, PVE depends on if you have someone high rank. this game requires you to grind resources or to pay HUGE amounts of real cash to get anywhere. Shame on the DEvolpers being so dang greedy.

First off, this is not War Thunder in space. This game is nothing like War Thunder. In War Thunder, vehicles had several vulnerable points you could focus on for a quick kill (engine, pilot, magazine, etc), Star Conflict features none of this. War Thunder also had fairly realistic physics and an actual flight model, Star Conflict's flight model is based on some sort of strange arcadey design. There's no newtonian physics, if you're travelling at 100 m/s and you flip a 180 degree turn you lose no forward speed, and your ship carries no momentum. This prevents you from adding drift to your tactics, which is pretty lame for a game set in space. Also, and this is a big problem for me, a lot of weapons are inexplicably locked to certain classes of ships and a lot of them are uninteresting or completely worthless. Like, my long range frigates can mount a gatling style machine gun which I'd love to put on my fighters, but I can't. Instead I have to make do with the same lasers or boring railguns as the bulk of my other fighter class ships.

Beyond that, the game's player base is divided between those who spend thousands of dollars for ships and thousands of hours grinding and those who do not. The original tech tree features a number of ships of conventional design and then a uber expensive alien tech tree filled with vastly OP alien ships which render everything else obsolete. These ships will outclass you in every PvP and PvE mode currently in the game. This is true in fleet PvP battles as well as the open world and if you queue up for a PvP match and there's not enough players to fill the teams, you'll often get matched against AI bots that pilot super-buffed versions of those alien ships and nothing else. This is a shame because without those alien ships, the balance of the base game ships is pretty solid.

My prognosis is that this game is arcadey fun in the early game, but as you work your way up the tiers and pilot higher level ships you'll start seeing yourself grossly outmatched against pay-to-win players with miles of grinding behind them who have access to ships, weapons and technologies that you won't be able to compete against. You could also buy premium account time with currency that you could farm in-game, but now that's no longer the case and premium time must be bought externally with real money.

This is a free to play/micropay game. That said. Any fun you might have at no charge is worth the money and the game is fun at least for a little while. I have played for 48 hours at the time of this review and I've gotten to level 7 access while exclusively playing PVE content.

There is a huge selection of ships and play styles and you can feel a difference between them. Larger ships feel more massive and fighters feel fast.

The flight controls are intuitive even though the menus are not. It took me quite a while to find some things that should be easy to find. There isn't much in the way of current videos on YouTube either. Most of the tutorials I found were outdated by several years and game versions.

A large amount of my gameplay time has been in level 7 access. Seems I've found the soft cap/pay wall where you either devote an insane amount of time to the game or start buying things. At least if you're a PVEer. The cost of repair and reloading along with processing raw materials to build nicer ships is almost as much as what I am earning while playing so my progress has slowed to a crawl. But so far, that is the only negative I have about the game. I've also noticed that the much more expensive ships above level 8 or so don't seem to be much better than the ships I'm currently flying so it feels like diminishing returns. That is why I'm investing money in crafting for better ships.

The events give you plenty of time to finish them but you won't get much along the way if you don't pay. Their system is similar to Dauntless where you see all the nice things you could get if you pitch in a bit. They don't ask for much so I see this as fairly priced. I do NOT see their exchange rate as fair however. The real money cost for purchasing in game money is overpriced.

The game is free to play/try and as such I would recommend it if you like space shooters.

I'd say it is Session Shooter, PvP, PvE.
it's done great. I tried it, enjouyed and deleted it.

Missions OK, first levels go progress easy with initial boosts.

But.
There is tonns of Ships and you will die unlocking, researching, even crafting stuff.
Once you realize how much time it will require for achieving some high level goals - you will just delete the game.

Era of no-life games passed. Devs, do your shit more casual. I have only couple hours after hard work. I do not need over9k levels of progression or grinding billions for best things. I need to do some ingame activities for like 5-10 mins and I need good payback.
Also, I'm regular person from Russia, I will never donate as Europeans or some fortunate fucks. So my choice is between bar of chocolate/can of beer or some donation (couple bucks, no more)

Here is more details

pros
- Best one is SYNC between levels. I have no idea what happenes on top tiers, but I felt pretty much comfortable playing PvP from 1 to 7 tier. It is really like your operational tactics, choice of ablilities and weapons make difference.
- Sessions are quick.
- Economical model. I didn't feel too much pain gringing for basic things, like new ship or upgrade modules. PvE missions have different levels, so the higher level, the more you get.
- Crafting looks interesting.
- Open Space emulation. Zones filled with asteroids, bases, ruins and other stuff where you can fly around looking for containers with money and stuff, collect ores, kill different environment ships for rare reward (they drop containers with stuff, like that), fight with people in PvP areas.
- Global map control. Groups may control territory - haven't tried that, it requires to join the group and I didn't

cons
- People say premium things make game imballanced, in PvP
- No sync in Open Space. Open Space missions boring, resources and loot are shared, assists do count, but if you gather stuff - it is pain in back.
You are too weak uo to lvl7 to survive Open Space alone. you may, but no. I hate when they give a mission where I should do smth against enemies who kill me with 2 shots. and i cannot do anything. Yes, zones have some gradation, but it still sucks
- Even with good number of PvE missions, It is getting bored after few weeks. Also, there si option to pay PvE tokens for powering your ship for higher levels of PvE, and high levels just destroy enemies on low levers, so low level players may be mored much whole mission. or suffer instant death on high level missions
- Even with this type economics, you still need tonns of grind for upgrading your ship, crafting modules and ships and ship parts.
Not all modules and weapons available for buying. some of them you must manufacture or get randomply from grinding in OpenSpace.

So, as I said, game requires way more time rather than I can spend and donation will not help at all since no local pricing or stuff costs too much.

The game could`ve been the best space combat sim around, but it was ruined by the developers' greed. Now, it's a freemium grind fiesta with a dwindling player base.

Enjoy the early multiplayer combat, hide your wallet.

EDIT: Just realized a genius change the devs made while I wasn't around. There is this thing in the game called fleet strength. It used to give a percentage increase to the ship synergy (xp) gain, based on how many ships you have at max level. Well now, it still gives the same amount as percentage, but its applied to the chance to receive an ADDITIONAL LOOTBOX WHEN YOU BUY ONE. That's a big brain move right there.

Stay away from these devs like the corona virus.

This game has fallen so far from what it once was, now it is full of excessive p2w mechanics and horribly unbalanced ships. The lower tiers of pvp can be fun to play but sector space and higher tiers can be cancerous and expect almost entirely Russian players. The aggression system they put in sectors is absolute trash that can leave you completely unable to attack players attacking you, but they can destroy you and take all your loot for free even in PvE locked areas... Oh and you can't warp out so have fun 100% dying, it would matter less if you did not need to farm sectors for higher end weapons and systems but you do.

Enjoy the low tier game play and do not spend a cent on this game and it is worth your time but from someone who has multiple premium ships and suppressors/destroyers they just are not worth it, even if you buy the ship you will need to spend even more on the core systems to use it effectively or grind for what you can, often in multiple pieces you need to get multiple blueprints and parts for or buy off other players for premium currency. You can sell systems to other players for prem currency but of course they set a price minimum on systems so most low tier have no value and high tier items are excessively priced.

I came back due to virus quarantine on the Steam version hoping for a good experience, and it has devolved even more since the last time I played. 1-2min+ wait times on pvp at r15, Russian corps camping sectors, wonky aggression system still in the game; ugh. This game can still be very fun mechanically but I wish they would have stuck to concentrating on a relatively balanced pvp experience with some minor pve missions, instead of diluting things with pve missions and instance sectors being so required now and pvp becoming a couple of rounds for missions affair. Now the game even has a weird and simple mining system.

The game is worth a try if you like these kind of games, and like I said the low tier pvp is very fun; it is the core of the original game and still works very well with less broken systems just be aware as you progress you will see more ship specific or manufactured systems and weapons you can't access as well as premium/alien ships and that is where things progressively turn downhill.

A honest review: This game is good but falls flat after you reach a higher level (for me it was 10). It's an MMO so it follows the traditional pattern: bottleneck resources, items shop, buffs, etc. These are not bad or intrusive features but they do make the game feel like a drag at higher levels and tests your patience.

Let's start with the BAD:
- PVP is a joke - it's ok until level 7, but after that until level 14, you will constantly get queued with people with ships 3 tires higher than you and you will basically have little chance against them. Also, you have to hope that the destroyers are on your team, otherwise you will be in a world of pain.
- The Game objectives - most of the time I get super desoriented because the Beacons are barely visible in your eyesight during PVE, the tracked and close enemies are most of the time difficult to trace around you since the markers are just slightly different than when they are afar. This is not necessarily game breaking but it makes it frustrating.
- You can't do all daily missions since some are too high for your stats and will easily get you killed if you are solo
- Finding a team is difficult since everyone writes Russian and I wish you good luck if you have no idea what they do or say
- Finding a corporation is even harder as there are mostly only Russian ones and with zero communication you are out of luck doing any Team based/corporation missions (conquest, etc).
- Some play mods have really long queue.
- Logs you off if you spam too many upgrades.
- This is are rather unimportant things: Most missions are not voice acted, the game becomes tedious when you have to search for resources and build your own stuff, the lack of some more tutorials to teach you how to use the workshop and where to look to find things on the map, cockpirs (you have them on your other games, you can have them here as well), after the battle you have to hold and click on points to get some rewards - this gets old really fast and it would be easier if we can just do a simple click or have an option for autoselect.

The GOOD:
- The visuals are stunning.
- The music, sound effects are on point.
- The game actually rewards you for your time invested and even gives you special events with rewards like: paid currency (which is neat).
- Plenty of game mods to switch between so you never get bored.
- Has a nice trading system.
- Epic Boss Fights.
- The AI is not mentally re-tarded, though it has its moments.
- Mission difficulty actually change the objectives to win, the higher you go, plus better rewards and challenges.
- Some mission objectives don't hold your hand in how to accomplish them - ex. Destroy a generator to drop a forcefield in order to reach the objective behind the said forecefield.
- The DLCs are super expensive, but not necessary to access the full content. I kind of admire this approach as you actually support the developers for their work and not make the game P2W.
- There are periods when you get nice discounts for the licences, but you also get free license days when you reach a new level.
- You can unlock Premium Ships just by playing the game and getting tokens for them.
- The game does not feel P2W from a PVE experience. PVP is... questionable.

I believe the game is at 80% of it's potential, just needs more work put into it. I would love to see a story quest to be more immersed for example. Also, have some extra features that make me progress and understand the game a bit easier. It feels a bit like trial and error, which is not a bad thing as I love to learn things the hard way, but since resources are scarce I would not like to waste them on experiments.

I do recommend this game, but only if you play with lots of friends. For solos, this will be a difficult grind, it will feel like you only have access to just half of the game content (mods, custom ships that require a lot of resources) and it will make you lose interest after Level 7 or 10. When this game reaches 95% of its potential I will change my review to a positive one.

TL:DR It just works.

I was happy enough to throw a few dollars at the game for one of the season events. It has enough options when you begin playing that you don't get overwhelmed and then as you progress, enough customization and play styles to keep the end game going. There's a significant cash shop but honestly it has little impact on playing the game as is. And with players able to earn the credits in game from events and selling loot to other players, nothing is really gated off for not spending money on the game.

In-game purchases can become extremely excessive, and the entire game is basically just a money grab by the devs. It can be very much a pay-to-win game. That's the bad.

The good is that the game itself is fun even without paying for extra stuff, at least for me. In the end, it's a free game. Try it out, and if you don't like it, no big deal!

i like this game it has its fun but the problems with it is just too much grinding in it and even than its not that fun grinding and i wish they used the open world aspect more and give more quests and even give a storyline in the open world where later on you could enter all 3 factions place and do quests for em and and even the 3 join together for killing a higher threat enemy i really wish the open world aspect is gonna have more stuff than it currently does
