Hey Steam Community,

Stay Out ist ein Stalker ähnliches Spiel im MMO Style.
Es spielt sich am Anfang recht schwierig, da sehr viele Eindrücke auf einen nieder prasseln und natürlich alles in English ist.

Die Quests sind jedoch interessant gestaltet und man muss schon hier und da überlegen was man machen muss. Das ist recht erfrischend.

Die Steuerung ist etwas klunkie und das Aim recht wackelig, was jedoch an fehlenden Skills liegt.
Die Grafik ist recht altbacken, entwickelt aber ihren Scharm.

Für ein Free to Play auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, wenn man auf Shooter MMO´s in einer Russischen Endzeit steht.

Eigentlich würde ich ein Jaein geben aber da aus meiner Sicht die Schwächen überwiegen habe ich mich für Nein entschieden.

Dieses Spiel hat wie viele andere Survival-Spiele viele Schwächen und selbst für ein Free-2-Play Game hat es aus meiner Sicht viele grobe Fehler, angefangen mit dem teilweise richtig schlechten Englisch oder dass falsche Koordinaten in Quests genannt werden.

Meine persönlichen Erfahrungen:
- um sich viel Frust zu ersparen sollte man im besten Fall nur in einer Gruppe spielen, was dann aber zur Folge haben kann, dass man sinnlos in der Gegend rumläuft damit bspw. alle Gruppenmitglieder ihre Questgegenstände zusammenkriegen
- man wird gerne von besser ausgestatten Spielern gefarmt bzw. aus Gebieten verscheucht in denen man quest-relevante Gegenstände findet
- der EU-Server ist teilweise extrem überlastet was zur Folge hat, dass es zu extremen Lags kommt und man von dem einen auf den anderen Moment stirbt weil auf einmal 5 Gegner um einen stehen.
- ohne die Unterstützung durch einen Kumpel hätte ich Stay Out wahrscheinlich nicht so lange gespielt, da er mir bei der Besorgung von Waffen etc. extrem geholfen hat, was sonst wahrscheinlich locker die 3- bis 4-fache Zeit gedauert hätte.
- An sich muss man in dem Spiel zuviel monoton in der Gegend rumlaufen, da es keine wirklichen Reisepunkte gibt um an bereits besuchte Orte zurückzureisen

Es gibt noch ein paar andere Punkte aber ich bin ehrlich gesagt zu faul diese alle hier aufzuführen.

Einwandfrei als Einschlaf oder auch Lauf Simulator. Das Tutorial ist hierbei der Einschlaf Teil und der Rest danach der Lauf Teil. Als Shooter oder gar MMORPG furchtbar.

A hate love relationship

Basics: This is either a full time job or you wont play it after 7 hours.
The Quests are at the beginning simple but getting mid game you notice you need to do hundreds of things to complete a quest. And some are weirdly designed and complicated (If you cant figure that out ask in the discussions or look on the wiki and translate it to english it works ok)
The Gameplay is solid, gunplay feels weirdly satifying and clean. The game is obviously an rpg. The game is free, with some paid stuff. (Only for faster advancing but theese things are cheap and if you do not have the time to farm those things then you could buy them) Alot of People misunderstand that in game purchases are nearly neccessary. No they are not at all. They really are just optional, playing the game free is still good.

Grinding.
Like I said, you give up after reaching the Liubech outlands or you make it a full time job.
It takes a long time to get decent money, once you figured it out and have a AK/PPSH the game completely changes, now money earning is easy. Getting there though is a rough part of the game and not a good part too.

Graphics: Made for lower end slavik pcs, still looks good at times

Bonus: The game has so much content and you see alot of love is put into this game, the maps are giant!
Alot of quests too. Unique too (a few). This is overwhelming and listen, I explored 3 maps at the moment without counting the tutorial map. But I also hate that I love it.

Please, give this game a chance, its not for everyone, but the game is great.
I fell in love after playing the game once again after months. Progression is way better now.
I understand the negative reviews but look deeper in it.

Good game and all, its kinda addictive with all of its complexity. However the ccombat sucks and sometimes just pisses me off, the third person view makes it impossible to kill something as simple as a dog and theres no melee combat to my knowledge, this could be fixed by adding a first person mode and melee combat such as puting your trusty jack knife to use, it might also help to improve the tutorial a bit since i strugled half an hour just to make a fire only to realise later that i have to be in a crouched position to make one. overall a good game but terrible combat. thumbs up anyways

Weird game. Tries to be an online version of STALKER but does it rather poorly. Very confusing, all instructions on the wiki are in Russian.

I only played this because my friend was so bored of every other game and he was in a strong STALKER mood lol

absolutely rubbish. get mobbed by dogs that never lose interest and take far too many shots to kill. Lose everything, ok. i cant get back with literally no means to kill the foes ahead of me. ah wait, there are microtransactions, could it be that the devs intentionally do this to make you buy gear you will lose? creating a perpetual cycle?

not worth it. extreme bugs, poor translation, i can deal with subpar graphics, had to restart the game 3 times just to complete the tutorial due to being unable to modify the damn ak, as in, it would not bring up the context menu to do so, right click modify, nothing happens, nothing pops up, can do literally nothing.

if youre after a stalker experience, im sure it's here, but it's broken and designed to suck your money for every little bit it can. a dollar a bullet people.

at least let me punch, ffs i have a jackknife i cant even use. how the hell is this guy surviving when you cant do most logical things? makes no sense. id advise to steer clear. they wont ever focus on a player experience. they only want your money for nothing, it just isnt worth it.

Gameplay is quite slow and world feels empty. Game begs you to buy something from their P2W item shop.
Combat also is quite garbage, first enemy you will find will be a dog that takes whole clip of your pea shooting revolver.
Also expect bunch of bugs, poor translation to english and weird controls.

So let's get this straight, i understand that this game is free, but really wants you to pay money for content.
At the start the character creation is a nice touch, exept you dont really customise anything else than the face, it lets you choose clothes, but mosty nothing else to choose except default items.
Anyway as i see this game has been out from 2019, except the game runs really horribly, doesn't really matter what specs you have the game is gonna lag. Even if its not a usual kind of lag, it just randomly freezes time to time, i understand that the devs add more content but don't fix the old stuff, that has created a list of things to redesign to fix the performance so they don't even bother anymore. Next time start with the performance first.
I only played the first level and it was a horrible 15 minute walking sim, nothing to do, nothing to see, only items you will find are flowers and wood piles. It really is a very boring experience and it just made me wanna go to sleep.
The inventory is somewhat good, except the 1-3 buttons are missing from shortcut? Why?
AI is very bad, at least the dogs and boars were the perfect example of AI, i didn't even think the any other AI will be better.
I have to give thumbs up for the artists, they did a nice job, most objects are not normal mapped so the game would have to run pretty smooth, i think its the coders fault that the game runs this badly, spaghetti code maybe?
If i would have to rate the game i would give it 3/10, 1 point for artists, 1 point for the customization and the last for the reason that this is free to play (at least it wants to be).

At first game seems fun, but later some real shit happens. A lot of bugs, dogs and rats shooting you back, some quests are impossible to do. Developers of this game are shit. Banning for no reason, not putting enough effort in the game. I really regret spending my 8 hours of life playing this game. Do what the game title says. STAY OUT.

This is not a paid review, Disregard all reviews with less than 5 hours..

This game can be very off-putting and difficult in the beginning and the translations are not the best. but that is mainly because the developers have not updated the starting map in a couple years, so the tutorial itself is in an outdated version of the game. once you pass the first two beginner maps, that is when the fun can begin. this game has a very steep learning curve and skill gap. but the moment you can surpass these difficulties you can rise in progression and explore the other maps of the games and do much more than what the game offers in the beginning. This game is not made for those who are looking for an easy progression, either you tough through it or you pay your way out. there is alot of history and discovery to be seen within this game, atleast on US1 server. if you have trouble bypassing the first two beginning maps, there are always people willing to help new players out. you can even ask me or go to the wiki for stalker online, be ready to have to use translators. there are also a few videos on youtube describing tips and walkthroughs of the early game progression. this game is well worth the effort in progression, it only gets more fun but at the same time will become a chore and very hard in some situations and tasks. for example; making money, increasing faction reputation, and leveling up your character. but that all only makes more to work for that will be worth while in the endgame.

so in short terms: this game is hard in the start and easier and you progress. I only recommend to players who do not quit easily and who are willing to grind.

also, later this year (2022) there will be a major game changing update released to this game that will improve just about everything this game has to offer. so if the game seems too low quality for you now. come back later and give it another try.

This game is great, it gives a clear post-apocalyptic feeling, when people can't trust each other, especially with the extremely toxic Russian gamers community. Although PvP is not mandatory, you will find most of the time avoiding the Russians if you do not want to be shot in the back by them.
In addition, the monsters in the game are very strong, they only need 3-4 bites and you will die. A game not suitable if you want to play carefree. I loved a tough game like this.

Good game, but awfully repetitive and extremely toxic community and clans that prey on beginners, so good luck getting anything done if ur not russian and want to get good items and a lot of money. Gave it a long try after several rage quits and uninstallments, I finally decided to give up.I´ll give it a thumbs down for the clunky tutorial and community.

Gun play was garbage. the 2nd area you get to explore is a fucking hellhole, non stop dogs, sometimes 6 at a time. the starting guns just dont do anything for you. you burn through all your ammo killing dogs. and then you have to buy more ammo just to waste it on dogs. I swear the devs have a dog killing fetish, You have to kill hundreds of dogs just to make it around the city

Game is the worst game I've ever played. My friend was playing Stalker and wanted to play this game. He got me to play with him. Very frustrating game. VERY hard to find any information on rules. Even Youtube has so little on this game. Not worth trying to learn!!!

Honestly, Stay Out is great in alot of ways. Yes, the game is super grindy and buggy, but something about playing a game with a small dedicated community really sits well with me. Starting off in the game is hard but the best thing to do in the first 100hr or so is to talk to others in-game to learn about the mechanics, tips and tricks, as well as what to expect in general when dealing with other players. Don't quit the game too early! It can be rather rewarding once you spend enough time messing around and having fun :D

Loaded it up, but not played as the game clearly says STAY OUT! so because i obey the rules i just quit the game, hmm i wonder why they want us to stay out and not explore this game, guess we will never know the secrets that lay in this game

Just a money grab, they want $24.00 for a backpack? wth!!! The game plays like an old gameboy where you can only go forward alone a path you cannot even turn around. Total waste of time.

Finished the tutorial, transported to the first zone, was attacked by an invisible dog, ran away, talked to an npc, ran some more, was attacked by a second invisible dog, started bleeding, bandaged myself up, invisible dog finished me off.

Good game, bad tutorial. Get through it if you can, if not don't leave a bad review because you don't have patience. You will see that the tutorial is there for a reason when you get to the next area. Stops new players from just pvp griefing.

Its free and only 7GB. just give it a crack mate.

This game only provides Europe and America server. No other servers. I'm on Asia, so it's not playable due to its lag and the gameplay is bad. The quests doesn't have a guide on where the quests is.. So we need to find it by ourself.

INSANELY OVER GRINDY literally the tutorial is 4.5 hours of fumbling around and seeing bullets land so far off target is super frustrating when ammo is so scarce

i love it so far not many English speaking people but hey i trust in due time ill run across them and guys remember its an early game so please don't be surprised with a few bugs here and there and the learning curve could be better but the tutorial isn't here to hold your hand but if you played dark souls i think you catch the drift pm if you guys wanna hangout.

OK I have played for a couple hours and here is what I think. First off the game is good but rough around the edges I think it needs time to be great not to mention its a F2P so that can explain some issues also they need to release a road map and have better communications with the players, I don't really understand why this game is getting so much hate its STALKER like so you have to pay attention and there is very little hand holding on quest. The first map you pop into is a nice small place to explore and get some understanding of some aspects of the game but I think the tutorial needs to be better. The main map is massive which is not always a good thing but in this case I like it. This is one of those games were I would say wait for it to get a few updates but they don't communicate very well so I have no idea when big updates are coming. But it is free to play so download it play for a few hours with an open-mind then decide steam comments are garbage most of the time so just try it for yourself. If you love the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games then this is a good multiplayer for it but it is rough needs time and polish however if no-one plays it they will abandon it so give it a chance and think about what it can be give them time. That's all I have I will update this when I have more time into it. -Thank You

well,I would give it a 2.9 out of 5. some things to be fixed!

- Load in textures are off at times.
- You should get meat from dogs. (Because you know. Dog have meat. and MEAT GOOD.)
- Make sure that every mission gives you ammo before the mission not after...
- Make melee a thing.
- Use the knife that you have as a weapon.
- More customization options. ( Because you are the most I have ever seen this limited.)

But over all this game has a lot of potential.

This is a scam. Pretty obvious after a few minutes. The guy is selling microtransactions and loot crates with randomized guns for ridiculous prices. Some skins are 92 American dollars. Some crates dont even have a 100 percent chance to drop them. This game is in early access and the developer is selling loot crates and macrotransactions...not micro.

As for the gameplay, you're thrust into a map with about 20 rounds of ammo and a garbage pistol. You quickly run out of said ammo from the multitude of drogs on the map that will chase you literally across the entire grid.

You won't find more ammo on the map. More has to be given from quests. Quests don't tell you where to go so you need to read them carefully.

Game is artificially made more difficult at the beginning to incentivise you to buy guns and supplies with real money. I never understood the desire to buy supplies in a post apocalyptic mmo with real cash because it ruins the immersion of finding it yourself in a barren world. But....this is pvp full loot right!? So its pay to win obviously. Hardcore no lifers and try hards will lay down alot of real money on a game like this to remain competitiive. Hey man, if you enjoy pvp and ruining someone elses fun so you can have yours, more power to you. This isn't a complain review. I've never been ganked but as you can see, I couldn't get past the initial zone because I died about 10 times to dogs and poisonous rats with zero ammunition. Not even a melee weapon is given to you at the beginning. Glancing at my inventory I have a jackknife but I haven't been able to figure out how to draw it.

Again everything has been artificially made more difficult to force you to want to buy macrotransactions. Seriously, look at the in game cash shop. The prices are ludicrous. One avatar skin is 92 bucks. Most of the stuff you buy on the shop doesn't drop on death either. Further incentivizing you to lay down real cash for guns.

The initial first impression is very poor. The graphics are serviceable but any gamer with an iota of intelligence can tell the developer is fleecing his playerbase with the artificial difficutly and high cash shop prices. He's a smart businessman I'll give him that. They know that hard core pvp players tend to be whales.

Five minutes into the game. I run into a wolf, thinking nothing of it I walk away from it. Combat console comes up saying I was shot by Dog. I started looking around for an enemy, before realizing the Wolf shot me. The wolf. Shot me. I don't recommend playing this. Bad design all around.

The game is nice if you can stand some little glitches and weird movement mechanics and animations like in some old games, gunplay is fun(despite the cheaters), weapon modding and equipments are awesome, but, it's a difficult game, so gearing up can be very demanding, for some it can be very exhausting, while for others very addictive.
Scavenging places for loot is not worth it, it's easier to win the lottery than to get really good stuff.
Questing is almost always not worth it, most of the quests are very hard or annoying to do and the rewards are rarely worth the effort.
The market is slow as hell, you only can registry sells, so I guess that's what makes it so stagnated.
So imo the game is about infinite grinding and pvp, almost always against the same guys(many of them very suspicious), because there are an avarage 400~700 players online at a time, it's not that bad, I gotta say that I had some fun playing it for a while.

The problem here is that it's very poorly managed by money hungry and apparently corrupt administrators, just to make it clear, I never got banned, I stopped playing this because I wanted so I'm not whinning about any specific situation. The point is that during my play time I had a lot of bad experiences, I saw a lot of cheating and heard a lot of rumors that made me feel it's not a serious and trustworthy company, so I realized it doesn't deserve my time, I guess I'm better off playing other stuff.

It's not a great title, I wouldn't recommend it, but it's free to play so you may try it at your own peril. But for me it's a no.

Edit: Gotta add something important, stay away from the store or at least pay attention if you think about buying anything, most stuff there is too expensive and also not certain to get you what you think you are paying for. For example, you might think you are paying for a nice helmet but if you check the description you will see that you get 1% chance of getting it and will probably end up getting a ridiculous item instead. Pay attention!

legit.. this game starts off super slow and the directions can be a bit tricky and misleading, so you will want to pay very close attention! once you get off the first zone, into the next.. the game then becomes an addiction!
***during the tutorial, when you get to the fence, and he wants you to go meet his friend for a gun, the instructions are in russian, you will want to go to square C3-1. that stumps many new players and causes them to just uninstall. ***
use ammo wisely, especially when using automatics. use map markers to remember landmarks because it will help you progress, trust me!.. if you don't, you will become lost, confused with no ammo.. pay close attention to the quest information, as it will be very important to locate the next mission. there is no voice dialog, so you will have to read everything.. at times they don't give specific coordinates in your journal for quest locations, so you will have to go off instinct at times. when using map, locate the orange dot-like glows on map, those are npc areas, just get to them in order to unlock its map landmark. try to headshot every hostile, as ammo is not easy to come by, if you are a free to play user. this game is very big and has lots of tiny details, so do not mass skip text dialog's as reading the chat dialog is key priority in being able to get through this game. if you are having a hard time getting out of the first zone, there is a tutorial video on youtube, but i suggest giving it your best shot before resulting to this. don't rush through the first map, as its going to be your stepping stone for learning this game. the next zone will test your abilities of what you have learned.. if you want to try finding a random person in game that will help you on your adventure, it will help you with progressing much quicker and save you ammo. going solo might be tough for some players, but not impossible.. just takes more focus and patience.
pay close attention to the top of your screen for status effects. small icons will appear if you are thirsty, hungry or whatever you are suffering from. when you are thirsty or hungry, you will start to lose stamina little by little till you have nothing left, which will leave you walking... if you can't run, you will die, just a matter of time, this i guarantee!
you will want to take several quests from same location at once and complete a few if not all, before having to make that long run back to town.
do not shoot people or npc's or you will become hostile (blue name) and you will be kill on sight!
as long as your name is blue, don't go into a town, you will die so fast, you wont even know what hit you..
try logging off for a few minutes and come back online, or just stay away from others till your name will be normal(yellow name) again.

if you do decide to support this game, buying the large beginner set(big pack) and the premium is a must have! buy these 2 before anything else. the army crate for the 1974 ak's, are your best bargain for primary usage. you will have a chance to get weapon attachments from the crates, which can make your weapon unique and much more powerful. they also give a healthy amount of ammo from the crates. you will want to buy 3 or more crates as the ak's are not guaranteed drops..
(when using automatic weapons, be very careful with how you hold the trigger down, you can burn ammo quick! i suggest love tapping the trigger for better accuracy and ammo rationing)

I give this game an honest 8/10. if the journal locations where more informative, this game would be around a solid 9/10

this is the best advice i can offer as i am still under 24 total hours into game, but by knowing this, you will have a better learning experience than what i went through.. good luck on your adventure, you're going to need it...

banning people without evidence, i have ask multiple times about the evidence on their allegations that i have buying ingame items and money for real life money, when i got billions on the game that i work hard on achieving it, the devs decided to banned me because of multiple transactions that are not sufficient to back up on how i spend money on the game via store. Of course i dont want to spend money on it because the equipments and ingame money are farmable, i told them how i grind to get that amount of money (using stalker reputation 27k for retired colonel) but they didn't believe me and still banned me without any evidence. ( the last thing i did was i transfered my ingame money to my alternate account and then they banned me) i have a proof that i am the owner of that account but they just ignore me and banned me permanently. and also just a warning if you want to play this game prepare to get banned without any reason just because you have a lot of money on the game and if you are in the enemy clan of the people who paid their way to play easy, trust me they will pay more just to get u banned.

This game is hot garbage it is not worth any time playing it. Random things like guns, items, players, structures etc. will be invisible making it extremely hard to play. Whenever I ran out of stamina it would never go up at all, it first went down during tutorial when I was getting the box, my stamina randomly dropped to the bottom and never even went back up even when I skipped the tutorial and closed the game and tried again. Characters would also bug out randomly and either t-pose or just go out of position. I was also not able to reload my gun when I had ammo.

Well I will make it as short as possible, IT IS A UNFINISHED GAME and its obvious. If you don't like lag, dying often, reading maps and trying to translate Russian then stay away. After over 1000 hrs I can say I overlook all the things people don't like. I've followed the ENTIRE stalker franchise since its release and enjoy this quite a bit given its obvious unfinished state. You have to put in a lot of time and probably a Premium membership for it to be worth it.

There is so much to this game that even players with 5+ years are still learning things and it is always changing and there are probably thousands of quests along with recurring contests/quests, create your own clan, join one, or don't. You might get shot in the back or you can shoot people in the back.... your choice but shoot enough people and you'll be hunted all the time.

The game has the making of a fun game. But a lot of notes and stuff that requires reading isn't in english at all. There are no quest trackers in game and you're left to figure out where to go by yourself. Sometimes you'll wander around for hours until you finally find the thing you were looking for. The hunger and thirst meters in this game run out way too quickly in my opinion as well. So you're constantly having to scrounge for supplies other players might have already looted so you're stuck waiting for them to respawn. Overall in it's current state the game is 4/10. Not horrible. But not good. With time it could become something good but for now I'm just going to give it some more time to develop.

i like the game so far but there are so many bugs that can really break the game and make it very confusing like the tutorial area with some buildings being invisible also i had to skip it at one point because i couldn't modify the gun but i like the potential and some mechanics

Game is interesting if u like plaing solo but iven more if with frends. ((for haters)if u mised then dont blame the game. learn gun control. weak spots of mutants. u wont get top gear in 1 month. read the quest or ask other stalkers ( but dont belive all :D ) or ue sowiki. ) ower all the game is prety fun. u go from bom to boss 100 . thers alot of tings to do in this game enjoi it dont rush it ;)

I attempted to play the game. At some point the game stopped loading most everything....building, parts of your gun, rocks, trees....everything you can think of. If most everything in the game is invisible because it wont load in properly, then there is no way I can recommend this game to anyone in it's current state. This is not an early access build....this is an alpha. I'll try the game out again in maybe a year. Until then, only play it if you plan to involve yourself in the dev process and want to test bugs.

'Stalker-Online' mmo rpg.
Third person perspective, online pvp/pve set in post-apocalyptic russia.

Whether you prefer storming bases in wars against other clans or stalking it out as a loner in the wilderness, SO has something to offer most players.

Heavily influenced by the stalker genre SO provides a sprawling world full of quests, weapons, mutants and artifacts, for players to enjoy for many hours of gameplay.

Grinding in mmos is to be expected, having to complete repetitive quests in order to acquire trade points to make a particular purchase can get tedious but there are other ways to earn better equipment and items.

Some bugs are still common place even after several patches, hopefully as time passes these will be ironed out, however it is extremely rare for these to be game breaking. Many quest related bugs are often fixed by a quick 'relog', exit back to the main menu and reconnect.

Lootboxes may discourage some players from playing, 'p2w' elements in this game really only amounts to short cutting on time and doesn't tend to spoil the experience of other players as it would in more competitive natured games.
It feels more rewarding to earn the items rather than pay for them anyway.

Good music, Good atmosphere and overall enjoyable game. Some difficulties with quests due to translation problems may require you to seek assistance from fellow stalkers in game or via steam forum, most players are willing to lend a hand, make friends and have fun, is often the best remedy for annoying issues :D

6.5 snorks out of 10 needs plenty of work to be the real deal but is more than enjoyable and a must try for fans of stalker.

Survival game with mmo. Great mix.
The game has improved a lot and made the beginners areas easier for new players. It really deserves a go and see all maps around. The end game is really grate and offers many different options, pvp and pve.
I would suggest to new players to check the guides in the community hub for the first two maps and to explore everything. It seems a hard game but you can get everything without using the shop.
There is plenty of room for improvement but It is an all around game. It would be nice to have a dedicated official forum/wiki outside of steam.
So far I have never run out of things to do.
I also suggest to check the games wiki so-wiki.ru if you want to understand quests and other things of the game that you could find hard to see.

I think after 25 hours in and past Lubech (dog infested city), I can make my first assessments.

First off, I loved the Stalkereque vibe, the weapons, gear etc. Also, I really like challenges, but I do not like tedious tasks or utter nonsense. Game or not, having unloaded a full mag from an AKM into a young boars head and the guy still charges at me as if I have used spitballs, makes me frustrated, not challenged. I don't want to meet that boars father...

Hitboxes are so-so. Dogs, as mentioned a lot of times, are, for the lack of words, rampant! Spawning on top of you, literally where you stand or are butchering. Tedious, tiring and just frustrating to deal with on a constant basis in the city and suburbs.

I do like that there is no hand-holding and I'm all for it. You have to read the quest descriptions sometimes to know what to do next. The maps are bare of POIs and the like, which is great, as you can go explore and mark + pin everything yourself. I like that aspect.

I have spent a good amount in the store, just to test the kits, sets and items you can receive. It's a cash-dump. The drop rates for weapons are abysmal. So you end up with a ton of ammo and other junk.

All in all, I had good hopes, gave it a fair chance and come to the conclusion that the gameplay is unsatisfying. Another reviewer mentioned that the game picks up and becomes more fun around 100 hrs in. I'm sorry, but that is unacceptable. Spending 100 hours of my life waiting for the game to be fun (not even sure if it will be) is a waste of time.

Nonetheless, I might find myself coming back to the game every now and then. Maybe only to reaffirm myself in why I have stopped playing it.

Play the game and judge by yourself. But please do NOT but from the online store as I have. It's truly wasting your money.

95% of the negative reviews on here are from players who have hardly any hours, find the game too hard or need quest markers on the map to know exactly where they are going and be told exactly what to do. If you can’t get past the first map lesenya then you have low iq, patience and shouldn’t be playing the game anyway. Skip the first tutorial it is buggy, pointless and shouldn’t even exist in the game imo.
People expect to put 50 hours in and have max gear, this is not the case with stay out you need to sink some serious time in to see progress.

I discovered Stay Out when I was looking for an mmorpg that was similar to Runescape in terms of grind level but wanted to get away from the wizards and dragons fanstasy stuff that is so popular within mmorpg’s and have an apocalyptic mmorpg shooter, Stay Out ticked all the boxes for me.

The first couple of hundred hours are hard, frustrating and make you want to quit sometimes but the more you play the game the more knowlege you get of the zone and the less you die! You learn ways to avoid anomalies and keep yourself out of dangerous situations. The zone is a punishing place and should not be taken lightly. Once you master the zone and you find yourself hardly ever dying it is a very rewarding feeling.

The game has so much depth with hundreds of quests, multiple maps to explore, crafting system, player driven economy (like the grand exchange in runescape), karma and bounty hunting system, pvp TDM FFA and CTF, map bosses, a range of different mutants in the zone, Clans, one instanced raid dungeon(more soon hopefully) and a long gear progression grind of weapons equipment and items to give you hundreds if not thousands of hours worth of playtime.

The game is better with friends ofcourse like any mmo but is by no means unenjoyable as a solo player. Most of my hours I have played solo and it has not hindered me in any way playing the game. Other solo players look for teams for dungeons etc so it’s not too difficult to find a team and still play the team based content.

It is free to play so yes it has a cash shop with loot boxes and the game is either spend time or money like any f2p model.
This is echoed through the game but by no means do you need to spend money to play, it just seems an easier option at times.

Stay Out still needs work and is by no means a finished game. It’s a hard game it requires time, patience and love for the grind but it is one of the best most rewarding and addictive mmorpg’s I have ever played.

TL;DR: Game is not bad, made by Russians with poor English, hence why the bad reviews as people get frustrated and dont know what to do. Will make a guide in proper English for those interested if you want to give it a try. Just leave a comment

So, where can I start?

If you dont know it by now, this game is made by a Russian game studio, and being Russians, their English knowledge is very limited. With this being said, the English version is VERY confusing, and very furstrating.

Most of the material you find to help yourself, if any, are all poorly translated from Russian. I had to learn the NATO phonetic equivalent of Russian and was that an adventure of itself.

The game itself is not bad. Imagine a bootleg, budget version of Escape from Tarkov and the STALKER series. It is an MMORPG, and I think it follows the RuneScape method of that, where you need to grind (surprise, surprise) a fair bit to get some good loot.

Free is too expensive for this game. Was clearly developed on a (liquid) potato. The stay away comments are not jokes. Do yourself a favor and stay away. It is clunky, doesn't launch half the time, and most of the system of the game makes no sense.

Over all I have enjoyed the game so far, my only issue so far is the number of dogs on particular streets as they are not only fast but hit hard and sometimes you can't do much against them due to their overwhelming numbers. Putting that aside I would recommend the game.

Game starts off super slow and pretty confusing. I almost stopped playing an hour into Stay Out. I pushed through it and within 3 days i have 30 plus hours on the game. Coming from only playing COD and apex, I 10/10 recommend this game.

the game is good... if you are a previous stalker player... for New fresh meat it might seem frustrating but then again asking for help from other players might be a good idea. i will say a lot of players stick to themselves that have been playing for long which is not cool.. if your a new player and need tips and help, my user name is Authentic... hit me with a friend request.. this game takes alot of thinking and grinding.. at start looking at the game it might seem boring until you get into it.... then you will most likely to consider playing and see where the game goes... and its usaly good and worth while playing.

Do not waste your time!

First 8 hours of basic PVE were entertaining, initial story was semi indepth and exciting. But the moment you enter the PVP enabled zone its down the drain.

Heres the kicker!

You can be sitting pretty in the safe zone, minding your own, and get shot at. dont worry your fine, until you shoot back. or god forbid get baited to come outside the safe zone which isnt in anyway marked.
The moment you open fire to defend yourself, BOOM dead. npc's will now kill you on site even after you respawn right in front of them thanks to some shitter taking pot shots at you and the games lack of guides regarding its first safe zone.

you have now essentially lost the game since the only way to get better relations is to leave, but you respawn in front of the ai 9/10 and even then when you dont you get shot from some PoS waiting outside the SZ.

When you finally do manager to get out and try and kill muties for some better relations, they bum rush you and end up inside your character which unless you use the buggy FPS view you cant get an angle on them and end up dying.

graphics are 4/10 sound is 2/10 and gameplay is 3/10

So, to begin with the game itself, it is awesome. There are many stuff to explore, many missions which have interesting procedure of solving it, big maps, many monsters, categories of monsters, etc. etc. I'm talking here about real stalker spirit which you can experience in many ways. Looting different monsters on different maps, missions I mentioned earlier, looting buildings, houses, and so on. Rifles and PvP makes you feel like you're playing a war simulator, the experience is amazing. So my rate for this game for every category which includes sounds, physics, maps, mobs, experience and so on, is 10/10. I've seen some other posts about this game where people found this game P2W, which is a big lie. You can only buy boxes which include shotguns, which are actually really bad and they are not worth much money. But the main reason why I dislike this game, and do not recommend it is because of developers. To make it clear I've been playing on EU1 server where are max 3 english clans. 2 months ago I joined a French clan which was enemy with many russian clans, only few were neutral with them. And the experience with players like them, who had really nice gear and weapons was amazing, especially during PvP events. Now the thing I wanna talk about is that leader and co-leader of clan I i joined, got banned because there was a guy who glitched/exploited in game currency for their rifle and magazines. We've reported everything to TechSupport which I found really unreliable, and in first ticket they accused them of glitching in game currency which they've never done and we have evidence of it. After helping them to re-write new message, because they don't know english very well, TechSupport agent told that he had no responsibility to that kind of stuff, and he would pass these words to authorities. Which they after 3 weeks of waiting still haven't done and closed the ticket. After creating new one, the accusation was based on paragraph which says it is illegal to buy in game items for real money. Complete nonsense. After all the effort we put into it, we concluded it was a complete set up. So, after putting 1.200+ hours in this game, many YouTube videos, streams on Twitch, and money our leader had put into this game, himself and co-leader got permanently banned because someone glitched money. And after almost over 1 month of talking with TechSupport and all the evidences we got, they decided not to unban them. So far, I !THINK! developers made this set up because some of them are actually playing in one of enemy clans, or someone random who hates our clan. Also last thing I want to mention, hackers from enemy clans we captured on our videos never got banned. During PvP/PvE events, using wallhacks, flyhacks and lag switch, after sending those videos to developers, they never did anything about it. That's it.

The amount of toxic people and fully geared schmucks running around and killing rookies for fun is absurd.
Wouldn't recommend this to the people seeking an enjoyable and friendly S.T.A.L.K.E.R. co-op adventure with their friends, as this game is, clearly, just another PvP clusterf.uck, made to please your average shoot-and-don't-look-back guy.

What i can and will recommend is that you uninstall this thing and wait for PvE servers to be introduced, in order to enjoy this as it was meant to be enjoyed.

Also, no first person (well, third p. transitions to first p. when aiming, but is kinda buggy), which, doesn't only make aiming in point blank a nightmare, but also proves to be a major turnoff in general, for me at least.

honestly the game had potential in my eyes until i needed to find wood sure trees shrubs brush and logs all over the place but finding one piece of firewood MISSION IMPOSSIBLE i dont mind and and even enjoy having to look for things without markers or whatever but come on i should not finish the in my opinion really dumb intro to the game to have to rage quit because i cant find firewood in the middle of the woods and am about to die from starvation so 0/10 for me i dont have 20 hours to find wood before i can play the game

I like the idea of making this a Russian post-apocalitic game, but the problem is that you can't play.
You're probably asking why?
Well here: You start whit a shitty revolver and in your back pack you have just 7 ammo for it, you don't have any meele weapon, and radiation is everywhere (that means that you die a lot).
So yeah DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS PLEASE, GET S.T.A.L.K.E.R INSTEAD.

I spent an hour exploring the very small play area which had no loot besides some occasional herbs but no weapons or ammo to be found so I quickly used up my 7 shots they give you when you start. the missions were not fun and mostly just searching to world for things.

This game WILL bully you if you play it wrong. Don't get me wrong, hard games are fun, BUT DAMN IF THIS GAME ISN'T WAY TOO HARSH.
My play-through was destroyed after I got into a random gunfight and had won, only to get marked a PK'er, (even thought I wasn't the aggressor), by the game and a criminal by most NPCs. I cannot enter ANY TOWN, thus locking me out of my storage and getting gunned down just for getting too close.

I paid money for a starter kit when I was enjoying my time, only to find out I gave them $10 only to get shit on later.

This is heavily focussed on PvP. If you want to do PvE things like quests and exploration. Be ready to have that constantly get interrupted because someone shot you. Play with friends, so people wont ambush you as much, not recommended if you want that stalker/exploration scratch itched! This is a PvP game, nothing more.

Don't waste your time games on its way to the trash bin. pay to win buy vog grenades sell them to husker for millions. Have one player dupe their money ruin the economy and get people banned for having duped money via AH or Trades. Steam launch was just a cash grab all they are doing is adding stuff to the cash shop and ignoring content since launch..

#1 reason to pass this game up. You can't trust the devs.

This is by far. The best. ____. (up to interpretation) It may not run well and the dialog may not make sense but if you are high enough, it may just be the best free game on steam.

Starts off very slow and it takes about an hour to get used to the controls/ HUD if you follow instructions. Definitely need to do a good bit of reading or else you will not understand anything that's going on.

Bring a friend in this MMORPG. It makes quests easier and keeps you safe from PVP killers.
If you are impatient, you will not get far.

very hard game, but it got an amazing atmosphere. If you like the stalker games and are into the apocalyptic survival atmosphere then this game rocks. I don't consider it pay2win or shit for the matter. People nowadays want their hand held in anygame, where he it's much harder, you don't get arrows pointing you to quests, which is much cooler imo. You can always follow guides if it's too much.

It's also got great dark ambient tracks along with sweet background atmosphere. Met a russian guy cooking his stuff on a fire i asked for permission on it, he agreed, cooked my own stuff then we moved on. Squatted by the fire while waiting for the meat to cook. Good stuff.

Something about the progression and quest system I like. Allot of clunky stuff here but so far so good.

The devs need to spell check and fix Grammar
