"Tell us, Professor, what can we expect? You clearly know more about the subject than anyone else here in the cabin."
"There are only the three of us."

The man in the black suit grinned mischievously.

"True."
"I can't tell you much yet, some things are interesting, especially the scope of what's on the table here. But I have a few questions before we continue. Of all people, why am I here?
"Professor, it would seem from our file that you are a specialist in archaeology and theism?"
"That's right. But now that you mention records: Is there a secret list floating round the government and when there's imminent danger, they tap that list?"
"Not exactly, there are such lists. But you've been asked for explicitly."
"Oh?"

That took me by surprise.

"Yes, the committee leading the investigation thought you were the best choice - given your previous experience. And you are the youngest person on the list."
"If that committee sees it that way, I'm not sure if it's meant to be a compliment or not?"
"Probably less as a compliment than as a possibly relevant requirement on the ground."
"That sounds exciting!"
"Look at the pictures and you'll know it's going to be exciting."

I swallowed.
