It`s a really cool game. Plus, you get it for free if you own Dying Light. If you like Online Games in the Style of Deceit for example with seasonal Events and stuff, you`ll gonna like this :)

It's a very good game, but I dont recommend buying it.
It only has an average of around 6 players every 30 days and you most likely wont ever find a lobby expect you have friends to play the game with.

dying light 2: stay human apparently supposed to be pushed when 2022 rolls around.

meanwhile this game hasnt even been fully released !!

sometimes developers just wanna spit in someones face i guess.

This game was incredibly fun to play back when it had more players. It's genuinely one of my favourite games and much better than most battle royales, but it's barely played. Hopefully it gets noticed and people start playing it again.

I remember playing this game during Gamescom and speaking with one of the developers. The group I played with was very enthusiastic about the game and so was I. While there are still defintely things to be fixed in the game, a PvP Dying Light game with PvE elements is a great idea!

Unfortunately, rolling this game out as a seperate product that you had to pay for was... not a good idea. In fact, I even think it would have worked better as a DLC package for the original DL.

It is safe to say the game bombed and almost no one plays it. I don't think, even with effort, they can fix that. And maybe it's for the better. Just very unfortunate.

I'm pretty tired of battle royales at this point and don't normally touch them but I like this one quite a bit. The emphasis on parkour and melee combat, with non-player enemies scattered around makes for a unique BR experience. Too bad they don't just make it free for all since it's quite dead and I can only get matches with 3-4 other people at any time.

Bad Blood

Dying Light Bad Blood was a very good game. I'm not someone who likes to give negative reviews. This game was really great and different from other Battle Royale games. The combination of movement fighting (which you already know from the original game) and battle royale is just varied and refreshing. But unfortunately, bad blood is past its best days, there were no updates and therefore no new content. The number of players fell. When I started playing the game (March 2020) I couldn't really find full lobbies. Really sad, maybe they could make the game for free so that there would be more players again.

It's a mostly alright game, but not actually fun.
This was stuck in early access since 2018 sadly.
And it does seem like updates just won't come.
It seemed like the developers simply moved on.
There's still a lot of unfixed bugs and problems.
But the main issue is simply the lack of players.
You cannot even purchase it anymore, so yeah.
It's safe to assume that they just abandoned it.
Finding a full lobby can take a really long time.
There's just not much of a reason to play this.
I actually encountered some nasty FPS drops.
And it seems like that's just unfixable for now.
Overall, I just honestly can't recommend this.
It's really just a sad waste of a good potential.

Personally I think this game is pretty good. Its dying light but a BR and its very fun. Yes sometimes it get boring when there is a really small lobby but recently there has been a higher player count in my games which is awesome. Long story short i think its a great game regardless of how many people are in a game!

The game died, Literally seconds after release.

It was relatively fun, I've no idea why the player base died out so quickly.

I'm glad I got a chance to play what was a fun game, Now its literally a 'Loading Lobby Simulator'

At least you can run around the lobby and kill each other, Its literally like the loading lobby has become the game now. The proper game was funner :(

The game died for a reason.

It's not completely bad for how they did it but Dying Light has no business being a battle royale.
The fact that Techland abandoned it after release staples it down into the graveyard.

Community is dead on the game, wish there was a revival or a community built to get back into this action packed Battle royale like it was back in the day. It's free if you own dying light, but i honestly sat in a lobby waiting for players for over 12 hours without ever getting a game started.

Dying Light: Bad Blood Review

Dying Light: Bad Blood is the battle royale version of the game Dying Light. It's a fusion of the battle royale concept and zombies, which gives it its uniqueness. The best thing is Dying Light owners get the game for free.

Gameplay:

Other 11 players and you are deployed on the map, and your main objective is to collect samples which can be found at hives. You need to loot the buildings and collect items, to fight against each other and the zombies. When you have collected looted the buildings and you think you are ready to collect the samples, you need to go to hives and kill the zombies for the samples. There are many types of hives like small, medium and big. The bigger the hive, the more samples you will get. Bigger hives are hard to kill since there are different types of zombies. Once someone completes the sample count, they will be marked as “hunted” and will need to go to the extraction point for extraction. Now, all the players will need to run towards the extraction point and fight with each other or persuade others for being extracted. Only one out of twelve players can be extracted.

You also “level up” as you collect samples which unlocks special abilities. Also, the game is parkour based. You need to have good parkour skills if you want to win the game, trust me, it helps a lot. You can reach places faster if you are good enough.

You can even play a private match in lobby with friends if you want, recommended. The game also has duo mode which you can play with a friend.

Graphics:

The graphics of the game are incredible. You will see what I mean if you try the game, it looks realistic overall. Mid Spec PCs can easily run the game without any lag. If you love game with good graphics, you are at the right place. The fire quality, animations, everything is at point.

Zombies Found:

Biter: Common zombies, you can find them easily, easy to kill.

Demolisher: The zombie you don’t want to meet, but you still have to do it. Uncommon, and very hard to kill.

Goon: The brother of demolisher with a heavy rebar, you might want to avoid him too. Very hard to kill, but gives a good amount of samples.

Bolter: This zombie doesn’t attack players, but has a fast movement. He runs when you try to reach him but easy to kill.

Viral: Common, but has a fast movement speed. It can climb and jump over things.

Pros And Cons:

Pros:

Both zombies and battle royale experience in one game.
Best graphics for a zombie battle royale game.
Different types of weapons for use like a bow, axe etc.

Cons:

Might get boring after sometime.
Small player base.

In-game shop:

Dying Light Bad Blood also have an in-game shop where you can buy different outfits and skins of weapons. You get 4 outfits when you start the game as default, and you can earn in-game currencies by just playing. You can open loot boxes too. You can either earn in-game currency by playing or buying it from their shop. There is an option to buy avatars too. The two in-game currencies in the game are blood bucks and scars.

About The Anti Cheat:

The game uses EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) for protection against hackers. You will rarely find any hacker in the game.

Overall Review:

The game is fun overall, you might get a better experience if you play the duo mode. Personally I recommend this game, make sure you try it out!

*Sigh. Finally decided to download this game today. I received this game for free because I owned the original base game. I cannot recommend this game as this game represent the current state of PVP in the base game: DEAD. The player base is quite small and the first game I played crashed. Then I was waiting for 10 minutes without a game when I tried again after 3 hours. If you like to log 100s of hours waiting then this game is for you. Game mechanic is similar to the base game with a few quirks. I cannot judge the game itself. Can't judge something DEAD.

I got it for free, so nothing lost right? even though its free, its hot garbage, it uses an ENTIRELY different control scheme which is just dumb, the skill levels very, and waiting for a full queue takes longer than the rounds, and theres no ranking system to seperate the good from the bad.

Okay, so first impressions of this game are great and you will quickly understand what and how everything works even if you haven't played dying light. The fight is really enjoyable all this fancy schmancy parry, throwing, weapon upgrades mechanics is difficult and fucking satisfying at the same time but when you play a bit more you will notice a lot of bugs indicating that this game a typical crap made for money during a battle royale hype which, however, can be saved with patches (if any come out) and these are the biggest mistakes:

1. LAGS! and client side advantage, The bigger your opponent has ping, the more you are screwed because you will see more than once during the fight that your enemy (especially square nick players) runs like an idiot into the wall in front of you and doesn't move, but when you try to approach, Surprise! he is behind you and you get charged attack.

2. A complete lack of balance in selecting opponents, namely several times I encountered players who didn't even have a clue of what they were doing or what was going on around them, so I was bored and even sorry to kill them, and similarly several times on the biggest tryhards with 1100 hours who crushed me in to the ground.

To sum up, I really don't know if it's worth wasting time on it because in the one hand, sometimes I had fun and sometimes I was nervous about glitches and lags, idk try it for your self and decide.
I GIVE 6/10

Edit 1: sorry I forgot to add the premiere of the full game and the exit from early access was announced at the beginning of 2019 and now, as I write this review, it is one and a half year after the time, so the game is probably dead now.

So as someone who thoroughly enjoyed Dying Light, I have been looking forward to this.
Note: Early Access means that it is not the final product, so yes it will have bugs.
This game is still currently being worked on, so I am not at all worried about it in this current place in time.

Dying Light: Bad Blood is a game I watched on YouTube and was extremely excited for. It looked good and I was hooked from the videos, however due to lack of player base and a few poor developer decisions the game HAS not and unfortunately WILL not reach its full potential.

The game play and mechanics work fairly well except for veteran Dying Light players. You will find a few controls quite annoying or hard to master if you played a decent amount of dying light. I think some of the core issues with this game may be due to poor advertising and/or lack of, and also server issues combined with the occasional hacker. It is quite simple, this game may have potentially been a money grab for the devs when Battle Royales started out as a big hit. Like any new game, lack of player base can and will kill it quickly.

I enjoy the game and would play it more if a few mechanics and controls were different as well as increased player based. Most matches you play against a bare minimum of the SAME 4 players. It's a good game, however I believe without the developers working on it more and getting a larger player base it will be abandoned and die completely of all its player base.

It's okay for a battle royale with PVE elements.

Dying Light is great and the engine and assets could have definitely made something great here. However, the price point didn't allow for people to really get into it in early access. Then there wasn't a large player base for them.

The design of this is great, and they did really good work at pushing the pacing of a match. Other BRs use a closing circle around the map, and this counts down the amount of resources that have been collected. The enemy design is still frightening in this, and really forces some creativity next to competing players.

Coming off the back of Dying Light, the combat and parkour feel sluggish. This was a problem when you complete the original game, maxed out the levels on your combat and parkour, and are able to run faster, jump higher, and hit harder than you can in a match of Bad Blood.

I'd recommend it just to get the free code form the docket and continue playing - which I think is all that can be done until servers shut down. Otherwise, good try Techland, it was decent but not marketed properly.

I looooove this. I am not a big fan of Battle Royals. But come on… Dying Light as Battle Royal? You play vs humans while being attacked by zombies and parkouring around the city?

It is as cool as it sounds. I can only recommend it. I know that I will spend many more hours in this game…

Good game with great graphics and the amazing feeling of the original Dying Light.

But only getting into games with 3 or 4 people, looting for a few minutes and then getting ambushed by a guy who was jumping and sprinting around near me who i couldnt hear, was lower level than me in the round and who just spammed molotovs and throwing knives just doesnt make this game fun.

Play with your friends but dont play the actual gamemodes until they fix these issues.

Still a good game. But it does have some very annoying issues that make me want to uninstall and never install this game again. These issues need to be addressed or this game is just going to be a waste of time.

I don't mind the concept but I think the PvP combat is a mess. Also, the fact that they changed the button layout makes playing the game extremely difficult!

good but dead, in my opinion it would have been much better off as a dlc for the main dying light game, well as what expected from an early access game you will be dealing with random crashes and servers disconnects & unbalanced gameplay, hopefully the devs will start updating it soon until that day don't let it be your first dying light experience.because you will be disappointed
i'll update my review when i start seeing positive changes

So, I've wanted to play this game for a long time and now that Techland generously gifted this game to Dying Light owners, I happily played it. Until now.

The reason many people quit this game in the first place is because;

1- People get disconnected very often
2- There's a lot of lag
3- The combat mechanics are bad
4- The gameplay is boring
5- The developers abandoning the game (last content update was almost a year ago)

The Disconnection

Most of the times you're joining a game, you frequently get disconnected no matter at what point. In the lobby, in the match, sometimes the game starts and you're literally the only person in that whole game. And i'm not even exaggerating.

The Lag

The lag in this game isn't very bad. While it often happens sometimes really destroys the experience. Players sometimes teleport when lagging, or you can't pick up items or weapons. Either way, it happens alot.

The Combat

The combat in the base game of Dying Light is very fun, and very good. But it's designed for zombies and AI soldiers. In Bad Blood though, the combat is wacky and bad because the developers took the combat mechanics designed for singleplayer enemies, put in a parry action and called it a day. The problem is that DL's combat isn't for multiplayer. Depending on who you're fighting, combat in Bad Blood is either button mashing until someone dies or a staring contest with both sides constantly parrying until a zombie or another player interferes.

The Gameplay

You drop in, search for gear, and survive until you're the last man standing, what more do you expect from a battle royale game? Honestly, the gameplay isn't very boring, it's just, lacking. The samples (even the medium and hard ones) are easy to collect because the goons and sometimes the demolishers are slow and are not doing anything. And when they aren't some other player straight up comes and kills you immediately and steals the samples. Also the map in this game is the same as DL's except MUCH smaller (only has the map's worst locations) and overgrown with plants.

The Developers

Techland have been very busy since the start of the development of Dying Light 2 and still creating community events and overall content for Dying Light. I get it. But you can't just, abandon your game and not update it for ALMOST A YEAR if it's a multiplayer game ESPECIALLY if it's in early access. Maybe just slow down on the events of your already 5 years old game? Either way, they will have to update it soon enough.

Like I said, this game has very good potential and very good developers, but with the latest rise of players, without repair, this game will last only a week more if we're lucky. I believe in Techland, and I hope that they will release a new content update soon so that this game won't die. Because even though it's bad in it's current state, this game could potentially turn into something great.

Really fun but the servers are ass.

Glad they finally made it free for dying light owners [spoiler]what they should have done from the start because there was no way it wouldn't end up a dead game if that didn't happen... which it did[/spoiler]
