Immer wieder eine große Freude. Leider sehr kurz und die DLCs sind nicht verfügbar, was das Spiel etwas mager macht... Als Neukäufer deshalb nicht zu empfehlen, aber wer die Spiele bereits kennt und mag wird es genießen.

Man zahlt für das Spiel mehr als auf dem Handy. Dabei ist die Controllerintegration (original XBox 360) eher schwach, vor allem aber fehlen diverse Inhalte. Valkyre und Supernova-Missionsstrang fehlt komplett. Absolut reudig!

Also wenn das mal kein versteckter Edelstein ist. Find das Spiel hammergut. Grafisch sieht man dem Spiel natürlich die Handyportierung an mit etwas feintunung der Texturen aber der Spielspaß ist trotzdem MEGA mit voller Deutscher Sprachausgabe.

Leider sind die DLCs die es vom Handy gibt nicht kaufbar. Das hätte das Spiel noch besser gemacht. Selbst ohne SALE ist das Spiel mit 8€ absolut seinen Kauf wert.

Die Addons für GoF2 werden nicht auf dem PC erscheinen. Ohne diese wirkt das Spiel unfertig. Vielleicht zugreifen wenn es für fürn paar Euro zu kriegen ist, aber nur dann.

Habe das Spiel mit allen Erweiterungen für iOS und bin von der PC Version mehr als überzeugt! Einziges Manko sind die fehlenden DLCs, wodurch das Spiel sehr schnell, (die Story hat man innerhalb von 8 Spielstunden durch) langweilig wird, wo die angesprochenen DLCs auf dem iPod Abhilfe geschafft haben.

Also, der Preis von 15€ ist überteuert, da nur das Standardspiel geliefert wird. Ohne DLCs lohnt es sich nur, wie ich es gekauft habe, innehalb eines Angebots (am besten 50%) zu erwerben.

Mit DLCs würde ich folgende Preise vorschlagen:

Standardspiel: 7,99€
DLC Valkyre: 3,99€
DLC Supernova: 3,99€
DLC VIP-Karte für Kaamoklub: 2,99€

= Paketpreis von 18,96€

Vorteile:

--> Würde oft gekauft werden, weil das Spiel den Preisen angemessen eine vernünftige Spielzeit bietet
--> Nach Möglichkeit können weitere DLCs entwickelt und bereitgestellt werden, wodurch mehr gekauft wird ($!)
--> Möglichkeit sehr attraktive Angebote, wie z.B. Bundels ( Supernova + VIP-Karte ) zusammenzustellen
--> etc.

Also, bitte liebe Entwickler, Ihr habt das Spiel hervorragend auf dem PC umgesetzt, aber es ist einfach zuwenig dran, zumindest für diesen gepfefferten Preis.
Nach langer Recherche im Internet habe ich genug Statements gelesen, in welchen meine Meinung zu fehlenden DLCs geteilt wird.

Überlegt euch bitte ob Ihr euch den Aufwand machen wollt wenigstens die für iOS erhältlichen DLCs ebenfalls für den PC zu entwickeln.

Trotzdem, grosses Lob von mir an dieses sehr gelungene Stück Science-Fiction-Weltraum-Baller-RPG-Game mit herausragender Grafik bei gleichzeitig niedrigen Systemanforderungen.
Mir ist es bis jetzt unerklärlich, wie ich dieses Spiel auf höchsten Einstellungen ruckelfrei spielen kann, mein Lappy aber bei BF Bad Company 2 auf Mittel schlapp macht.

im disapointed they didnt include Kammo station which is the best Dlc on android for it god damn,you have to get rhoda blackholes to keep you storage and save ....blah blah DLC IS NOT HERE wtf

Pretty sweet space game that fits into a nice middle ground between basic space shooters and full blown simulators. Flight mechanics and such feel more like an arcade game, but with a lot more stuff to do than the average arcade game. Anything from combat to mining or trading and all things in between.

Performance seems solid and I don't recall any serious bugs. If you are interested in games like Eve but prefer a more casual setup than this game just might interest you!

GoF is is pretty nice (albiet aged) space shooter - but don't buy it here - get it on mobile where you can experience the game in full with the DLCs. This port was never finished to include the DLCs due to investor pressure and the free to play mobile marketing being too lucrative to miss out on - thus shifting resources elsewhere (GoF:A).

Fishlabs went bankrupt in late 2013 and were taken over by Koch Media/Embracer Group - if you want to support them, buy Chorus, if you want to play GoF in full, get it on iOS, if you want to play the latest from OG Fishlabs team (the ones behind GoF 1/2), check out the Everspace series.

Genuinely one of the greatest Space Sim games eve, even if the controls are a little basic. Best mobile game I ever played and honestly deserving of being on a full fledged PC. Just play it. Seriously.

I just wish the DLC was ported to steam too. I'd pay for it in a heartbeat.

Franchise is functionally dead. Creators moved on and Devs don't want anything to do with GOF, both have left this to die a meaningless death. I have hundreds of hours in the mobile version. Good game and beautiful to look at even today with a charming storyline, but incredibly short (seeing as they only ported the core game to PC). Wish better was done for this franchise.

Galaxy on Fire 2 is one of the most fun, addictive games on Steam.

This is my second play through, chasing the 100% achievement. Would seriously recommend for anyone that likes an easy game, which is set in space. Plenty to do, without being tiresome.

The only this I wish they'd done, was release the expansion on PC and not just mobile devices.

Game Library randomizer once again returned me a familiar game title. Galaxy on fire 2 is a game I had on my iPhone 3. I probably wasted over 200-300 hours of my life playing this game when I was bored and I don’t even remember when I got this full HD version on steam.

After so many years I finally tried this game for real on steam. Graphics is aged but the full HD is still wonderfully eye candy. The Nebula, Planet, Asteroids and space station is well designed and looks on par with much bigger space game series like X, Wing Commander and space ranger.

Game play wise is still the same basic mining, Trading, mission, looting formular that you have to grind to get rich and upgrade your ships. Since this was a simple iPhone game it’s much simpler than other space game titles.

Main story line is really short like 3 hours short but you do need to upgrade your ship to survive the final mission. The rest of game are just sandbox galaxy traveling and exploring that you need to grind quite a bit to get all the achievements and in game medals.

Lovely game but too simple because it’s original iPhone platform so I can give it no more then 7/10 for recommendation. There are much bigger and better space game out there but this game is not a bad introduction game for space game. If you got this yet never played it give it a try and you will enjoy the first 10-50 hours of it than you can look for bigger better space titles for you to play.

PS: Yes I know about the lack of expansion that was on phone but not on steam. If those 2 dlc was available I would probablly rate it 8.5/10.

Loved it on mobile and love it on PC too, it is unfortunate that the expansions weren't ported.

Galaxy on Fire 2 perfectly melds just enough exploration, combat, story, and ship building, without over-burdening you with micro managing and complex combat controls.

Hopefully the expansions will be released someday.

Shame that it's essentially an unfinished version of the game. The story itself is extremely short (mostly due to the lack of DLCs on PC). Some features like strafing replacing swiping from mobile and absence of autocomplete blueprints function are pretty questionable. Otherwise it's very entertaining, easy to get into and diverse enough to spend a fair share of time on it, despite some side missions being quite repetitive. And it's also very fun and broken (quite a few glitches to take advantage of), hence why it's p fun to speedrun.

I played this game a lot on my iPad years ago, and it is a very fun space fighter/trader/miner game relative to other mobile space games at the time. However, I currently do not recommend the Steam version. The base game is free on Android and iOS and includes purchasable DLCs. The Steam version is $8 for just the base game, and the developers don't plan to include any of the DLCs any time soon. If the game was only $2 to $3, then it might be worth it, but as of now, you would get more for your money if you just play the game on mobile and use the $8 to buy the DLCs on mobile.

FIlled with nostalgia from old phone's java game of 00s this is next best thing after trying to emulate j2me on modern computer.
All remakes pretty much have to upgrade graphics for games to feel the same, Fishlabs did a great job here.
There are better space shooters, better plot, better economy games, GoF2 though will take a special place in my heart for the right combination of them implemented just good enough for enjoyable experience.
You start from drilling asteroids and collecting money for basic ship upgrades, then proceed to travelling across the galaxy trying to trade goods with ever fluctuating prices and availability, end up picking up gigs, balancing reputation learning some combat tricks and finally progressing main quest to a decent ending.
I love how there is always stuff to do and things to play with, a way to rush quests, grind, explore, learn the rules of this new galaxy and it's factions.

A mobile game at its core is probably best played with touch. PC version supports mouse and keyboard rather well. Buttons are often scattered around the screen edges, but that will do. Gamepad would require some additional mapping through steam input as some interactions just need a cursor.

Performance in this game was never an issue for me, you can pretty much jack up all the settings to max and never worry about it. I wish there was an option to completely remove LoD models pop-in on PC.

Some people complain about DLCs not available here. I guess it's a fair wish to have, more content would not hurt. In my opinion Galaxy on FIre 2 is a complete package already even without them.

Treating this as a remake of an old game I used to play on a sony ericsson phone I would give this a solid 8/10.

Loved this game way back on the early days of the iPad and though it's a mobile game, it holds up here even many many years later. Also, PSA, if you like the Galaxy on Fire series, check out Everspace (especially Everspace 2 as it's open world). Same Devs under a different name!

It's worth noting that the DLC content is missing here, which is a definite shame. But if you enjoy the core game, that's all here to enjoy again.

This game is really fun to play! It was really cool to be in dogfights in space, fight pirates, rivalling factions, take on different kinds of jobs (transport, escort, pirate hunting, trade, etc) and be able to buy new weapons and tools and upgrade your ship. I really hope there is a GOF3!!!

Such a great game, eventhough it's at the moment 8 years old it still looks good, a bit dated look but good.
Gameplay is really, really simple. Arcade figthing, you can mine astroids, transport goods from location to locations, transport people, space dogfights, space fight against capital ships. Upgrading your ship, buying better ship. Creating new aliances, story can go into different ways. All of this for diry cheap price of a game. It has a very simplistc design, voice acting is good, there are no cinematic just a simple voice acting and it's good. Story wise is okay, nothing special about it.

I remember playing this game almost 8 years ago for the first time and it's still good and relevant today. This game was primary made for smartphones and I also have it on my smartphone. But make no mistake this is not a poor port, they actually properly made this game playable on PC. I prefer playing this game with mouse and keyboard far more than on my smartphone with touchscreen. Which is why PC version is actually easier to play compared to smartphone.

Game is very good to layback and just enjoy, play on Normal settings and you'll have a fun and simple control game.

This game is incredibly fun, and extremely satisfying. Despite being developed many years ago, its graphics are still top quality, and the though the gameplay may be lacking for some, I personally love the small sub-games within it, such as the extensive trading, mining etc. In terms of equipment and weaponry, there is a clear path to better gear, because you can see the better versions of almost anything stocked in space station hangars.
The plot might be a bit shallow, but I enjoy visiting all the different solar systems, almost like free roam. There are also tons of freelance missions to explore too. Overall, I would definitely recommend this game if you're looking for a game which is kind of niche, and very sci-fi.
Things to look out for: If there's a sale on for this game, get it, because $14 might be too expensive for some people. Also, if you do all the campaign missions one after the other, the game won't last very long for you. There's no DLCs unlike the mobile version, so keep that in mind. But overall it is a very good quality game.

I really enjoyed this game. I can see how others might say that it's repetitive and slightly unimaginative. But to me, its simplicity is key to its playability. The graphics are very nice, the story is interesting, and you have some choice as to how you proceed in the story. You can choose to battle pirates, track down wanted individuals, or protect or destroy freighters. You can buy better shields and weapons, engage in marvelous space battles, and destroy the evil aliens. What more do you want?

I played this game a ton on my phone way back when, was a real blast. The DLCs made it a worthwhile experience for sure, but the fact they aren't here kinda...stinks. There's no way to get them, and in endgame there's basically nothing to do. A good time waster if you wanna spend like two hours, but other than this this game isn't much to look at...i mean, considering it's a port of a mobile game. Concepts, universe and designs are all pretty solid tho so at least there's that.

Probably the best iOS game to ever come out. Its a shame the DLC never made it to Steam and remained an apple exclusive. Its a simple, easy game to have lots of fun in and it has a lot to offer, but its kinda hard to really enjoy it once you're done, knowing on all the great content that could have been available. I'm excited for Everspace 2 as the first didn't capture the magic that this one had. Seriously this was perfection for this type of game. Simple, arcade-y with RPG elements and a decent story.

This is one of those games that are pretty good, you play it and have fun and everything is nice

Although the game is old, it has amazing graphics, many explorable places, and many ways to customize your ship. To be honest this game was ahead of its time.

the game play is basic but enjoyable however the lack of the full game makes this game go by far too fast as there is an IOS version which is better by virtue of being the full game if in doubt of liking the game play this if you enjoyed it and want more then the full version will satisfy you if not at least its an enjoyable waste of about an hour or two

The game is great and still holds up quite well to this day, in my opinion. The only problem I really have is that there are none of the DLCs that exist on other platforms. Even the Shima System is missing, so you can't store ships at Kaamo Club.

Reminds me of my days playing Wing Commander's Privateer. Good graphics, easy to control. Can get a little grindy but not overwhelmingly. Definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys a space sim.
