The Story of Offworld
The story of Offworld is one of vision, dedication, comradery, and the determined pursuit to do better. Offworld originated when the core developers of the acclaimed mod "Project Reality" collaborated to bring their vision for a commercial game, inspired by the mod, to fruition. We later named this game "Squad" in homage to the mod's emphasis on teamwork and squad-based gameplay.

With unwavering dedication, we made a conscious decision to work full-time on Squad, crafting a functional prototype, fostering a community, and ultimately launching a successful crowdfunding campaign, all in pursuit of becoming an independent game studio. Squad has exceeded our most ambitious expectations, and we are profoundly grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.

As we evolved, we contemplated the greater purpose our company could fulfill. We want to bring players together, building communities that love our games - where our players compete, cooperate and communicate (our 3C's) with one another. We want to continue to bring our 3C DNA to a larger and larger group of gamers worldwide.

The launch of Starship Troopers: Extermination into early access in 2023 marked a significant milestone for our studio, and we are thrilled by the overwhelming success it has achieved so far. It reaffirmed our belief in the power of creative innovation and the dedication of our team.

Despite our success, we are more determined than ever to continue expanding our studio's horizons. Our eyes are set on the future, where we eagerly seek out new projects that challenge conventions and push the boundaries.
