Puzzle Panic Island takes Inspiration from several SNES Classics;(Tetris Attack/panel de pon, Wario's Woods, Super Mario, MegaMan, Puyo Puyo/mean bean machine to name a few), fusing elements of them into one game.
Inspiration from wario's woods: you control puzzle blocks placement with character movement,
Inspiration from tetris attack: potential for combos/chains, emphasis on speed and quick decisions in an ever building pressure scenario, and there is a puzzle reticle, and puzzle pieces are how you access most of your abilities etc.
Inspiration from Mario and Mega Man platformers: you jump on enemies heads to defeat them, and can also throw stuff and get a little stronger by collecting new power ups and weapons.

Several Modes of play and difficulty levels appeal to both the casual and the hardcore Puzzlers.
Endless Mode- A balanced experience where you last as long as you can and reach the highest score possible. (The Default Game Mode)
Marathon Mode - How long does it take you to clear 30 blocks? How about 300?
Time Trial Mode - How many points can you score in the time limit?
