In 2015, the Kepler radio telescope discovered the exoplanet K2-18b. In 2023, dimethyl sulfide molecules were detected in the planet's atmosphere, and in 2025, biosignatures were confirmed.
In 2027, a radio signal of clearly artificial origin was received from the K2-18 star system. In 2036, our planet was engulfed in a humanitarian crisis, and two years later, the Ark Initiative was founded. Over the next decade, the Initiative's scientists searched for a way to transport mass through space and ultimately created the first working Warp Drive. In 2047, the decision was made to launch an expedition to K2-18b.
