Super Grafik - 10/10. Spiel Spaß Faktor 10/10.

An incredibly well done game of one of the best Craft Open World games

It's such a great game, you can do anything, work on the whole world, build houses, live your real life. Travel or experience different times. Discover new worlds. Travel by boat and ship, fish, cultivate fields. Made so realistic when you cut trees, for example. There are big German servers with beautiful cities, everything is just great. Great graphics - 10/10. Game fun factor 10/10.

Also nicht Blockig.

Kauf Empfehlung geht also heraus.

Viele Grüße Enrico

If Runescape, Minecraft, and Valheim had a child together...

The good:
* The building system is easier to use than most survival sandbox games.
* The map is huge and proc gen, so never the same on any given server.
* Farming mats is not too burdensome or difficult.

The Bad:
* The building system is clunky.
* Apart from building and gathering there's not much to do.
* Resources are finite.
* Holes dug by players never regen, and you will fall into them a lot.
* You will break your legs a lot.
* The dungeon chests never respawn either, but the monsters do. Nothing like fighting your way to empty chests.
* The in-game map is a nightmare. The actual game map it enormous, but you are only able to see a tiny fraction at a time.

There is a newer version in production using the Unity engine. I can only imagine that's because the devs have never seen/don't know how to use Unreal 5. I have played the Unity version, which is accessible by right-clicking on Rising World in your library, choosing properties, then selecting Unity in the Betas screen. It's pretty empty at the moment, but it's working well so far. You can gather and build, and it's a prettier game so far.

All-in-all this game is worth the money, and is fun to play.

This is one lousy stinky turd even after 8 years in EA which is rediculous...can u say the word Vapourware and the version number is hint... this thing wont be finished for another 10 years....this is one of manny EA games ive supported and one of the last....what is stupid too my play time uninstalled it for long time ...decided id check it out again nope after 10mins uninstalled again still medicore trash but my total play time isnt even close to what i actually put into it years back..

Gameplay is mehhh, performance even on hi end system is mehh....one big complaint the absolute mediocre art work(some of this stuff is very low on the quality totem pole) being done like the winter biome which the trees are some of the worst ive ever seen in my life and i have a art back ground in game dev...damn eye sore.. even after having game for over 3 years know, its dying as it doesnt have alot of people playing it anymore which is sad it had potiential but like Beam Ng which also has been in dev for 8 frigging years i dont see a finished product even close to the horizon...a mine craft wannabe and it failed miserably...The updates are pathetic as well always small things being added nothing super major to simply milk EA dev longer....i will never support anything this dev ever makes again

another game i wish i never supported Beam NG as itl never be finished and alot of these EA indie devs are milking the hell outa the EA program....save your money, this turd isnt worth it period and to top it off this one has nasty toxic community that dev doesnt seem to care about that just runs rampant with no moderation what so ever to boot which kills the game completely for me...dev wonders why its dying...gee i wonder -.-

Edit---The whole ohhh lets shove this into Unity engine nonsense is another reason why its never going to be finished anytime soon and shows the overall direction small team has and how managed they are to decide something like that half way through EA development is just insane...Reminds me of Savage Lands another turd that died pretty much... dev did same thing and guess what ....it broke a ton of stuff that new dev hasnt even bothered fixing and made game just a mess with more bugs than a hot summer night....save your money, unless you got 15$ to just give to some one if so then by all means pickup this development mess

I want to make it clear the recommendation is mostly for the idea and continued updates by the dev/devs. It doesn't feel like a finished product and it shouldn't, I heard they are currently going through a whole re-write onto a different game engine.
My comments so far are; The terrain generation needs work. I understand that is no simple task messing around with those algorithms, it took all of Mojang a decade to get it decent. But the giant compact valleys just feel wrong and they're in the default biome. I flew around for a while and couldn't find a decently flat area to start building a base. TBF, I only know of one voxel game that you can make flat land and it was a workshop mod, not even part of the game.

2. The inventory/crafting menu could use a little love. I cant explain it, it just feels odd.

3. Controls feel a bit slow. Even creative mode flying just feels slow, not a deal breaker, just feels bad.

4. This is a personal point that I'm sure most others would not care about- being able to disable grass would be great. My machine can run the game fine on max everything settings, I just don't like waist high grass everywhere. In fact being able to scale the height of the grass would be best case scenario, but again I'm sure that is not a simple task.

Everything else about it is good. I know some have complained about the fantasy enemies, but no one seemed to care about valheims models..

I absolutely adore rising world. This game very quickly found its way into my top 10 favourite games of all time.
There is a huge amount of crafting potential involved in this game, mixed with the survival mode makes this a game absolutely worth playing.
There is also an rpg element involved with dungeons to explore, and chests full of loot to find.
I've spent hours and hours on this game just creating my own house/settlement, and wandering around the world looking for resources and items to bring back to improve and add on to them..
Absolutely worth the price, I have no regrets whatsoever having bought this game.
There is so much more.. One game where I really find that you reap what you sew in the most positive way. 8.6/10 for me

Cheers JIW, excellent work

Oh boy, I did not expect this game to be as addicting as it is. It offers open LAN for people to play with each other. The game is like Minecraft but with good graphics. Don't be pushed away by that though. I love Minecraft and most games that go towards better graphics end up not be good. They really do balance the way the game plays better with the graphics. This is my new favorite. Well worth the money, hope to see updates and Beta version soon.

I'm not sure what all the hype over this game is! It reminds me of a beefed up version of Minecraft without a story. I am not bashing the game in-fact I love survival game and own loads of them. But i can say this Rising World is just a sandbox survival like most other out there with a following and if you like that they I recommending to only pick it up on special as full price is not really worth a game that has no back story or driven adventure. Either way like I always SAY all game are worth playing!

Note: I a sure you I have played offline for several hours before I wrote this review regardless of steam time count.

This is a very good game to play with friends and family, the crafting and hunting is really cool. The weather system is the most realistic way to enjoy a storm with out actually being in one. I do hope they continue to improve on the game, I would like to see more items added to craft and maybe a bit more beasts. A very enjoyable game, I would recommend this to others.
Enjoy gaming.

Nothing new here, keeps getting a redo it seems. It's a standard survival-craft kinda game that doesn't try to be anything new. Graphics are extremely dated, engine is sluggish, and overall the game feels dull.

Due to the nature of the game, I actually had more fun in creative mode than in survival. The game offers a decent amount of building options considering how early this is, but as I said above, this has all been done many times before.

I do praise them though for not giving up on the game even after many years of EA. I think after a few steady months in development, they could potentially have something decent. It won't be groundbreaking or something you must play, but it will be a good budget survival-craft for when you want to scratch that Survival itch and don't feel like paying more.

an immersive survival crafting game that's also a very detailed building sim. your creativity is really the only limit in rising world. and most importantly, it has the most functional virtual piano I've seen in a game... so grab a friend, grab a seat, and bang out a duet in between farming, riding horses, fighting the horrors of the depths, and building your dream town.

For what its worth, this game is being developed still and has much more to come. I played it in 2015 when games were not so realistic, so the graphics are not as good as some of the newer games presented today. As stated below, though, the new experimental branch contains great graphics (if your computer can handle it). It is the basic survival/mining/chopping trees type of game. I recommend this game, but if I were you, I'd do some more research into other survival games because I believe there are some better ones out there.

I first purchased this game in 2015 and up until 2am yesterday morning I hadnt played it past the initial 5 hours I put in all those years ago. In the past it was very very bare bones, returning to it now after seeing there was an update and going oh shit an early access title that hasnt been completely abandoned by devs. I wonder what its like now. So I reinstalled it and honestly im glad I did. The game is of course still lacking a lot, but there is far more content than there used to be as well as I can remember. The graphics really dont bother me much as they remind me of morrowind which is one of my all time favorite games. The world can be bumpy and even ugly terrain wise but there are a variety of tools to help you shape the world into something more pleasing and the game also has the one thing I always enjoyed the most in minecraft. They have caves, massive random tunnel networks of caves that lead to either ores or dungeons or sadly sometimes nothing at all. So if you like being underground like I do this game is phenomenal in that respect to give you a proper cave feeling, dark and twisting with random drops that can lead to your death if your not careful. Sadly fall damage is the only threat of caves as far as I can tell other than if you enter a dungeon. I have spent hours since my return mining out a home inside a mountain complete with hidden passages that through the well done lighting system are almost perfectly hidden from most angles. It also has a refreshing cold system where if your not properly insulated and get caught in the rain you can very slowly die from it, I find it a nice touch to be able to see my character shivering and shaking as my health bar slowly ticks away. The crafting system is also enjoyable albeit a little complicated to figure out at first (for me anyways)
That said it can only take a few hours to get almost every available crafting station set up and ready to use provided you have the materials.
Onto some criticisms, while the map is considerably sized until you can manage to craft a map if you stray too far from your base and lose your bearings you will likely never find it again. You must have a spare map at your base once you get a map otherwise you may maybe never find your body in the wild should you die away from home.
The world is lacking in threats but if you just like to relax that could be a positive. Initially I was running for my life away from boars and bears because frankly I couldnt take a hit. But through that method if your not geared for fighting you can live a in vast majority peaceful existence. I recently found my first dungeon which provided a few variations of skeleton one of whom seemed very out of place in samurai armor but even those werent much of a threat with an easily craftable longsword. My only deaths in the dungeon were first from falling into a spike trap and second to a skeleton when I made my way back with a stone hatchet only and was overwhelmed while trying to dig down to the spike pit I died in to get my gear. The third time I cleared the dungeon.
Which quickly seemed to break the game. With enemies cleared my first opened chest I found a legendary sword (literally just called legendary sword) And I was happy and excited and thought what a great find! How lucky I am, next chest I found some samurai armor, so much protection! How rewarding this particular dungeon was! And then the reward came to feel so cheap when I came to find 2 more legendary swords, another set of samurai armor, some lower tier armor, 4 maces, 5 warhammers, 2 battleaxes a bow a katana and 2 crossbows. Another thing to mention is there are no listed stats for weapons you simply have a name and a design and whats strongest is for you to figure out.
Upon making my way back to my cave inventory stuffed full of looted gear almost all of which I will never use due to it being inferior to my chosen gear and because weapons dont break I ran into a tiger in the night, At first I followed protocol and ran but after a moment turned to fight instead, with my armor I was barely scratched and I killed what I had assumed to be one of the toughest enemies in the game in a few swings, a minute later I ran into a jaguar and same thing. So presently I have the feeling that im now overpowered and I havnt even crafted a firearm yet.
Im not great at reviews so ill try and finish this up.
The game seems great for base building and crafting and the graphic style can trigger a nostalgic feeling.
Combat once your geared up is about as exciting as killing a peasant in morrowind when you have high tier gear and they have nothing but a rusty dagger to poke you with.
The game has a hunger and thirst meter but food and water are so easy to find casually as you move about that my meters never make it to the red unless ive focused too much on base building and forgotten. A casual annoyance that I can fix easily in moments. You can cook meat but if you arent monitoring your food from when it turns raw to cooked it will burn, burnt food can help with hunger still but it dehydrates you. An issue that dousnt matter if youve set up shop next to a water source like i have or if you carry a canteen.
Other than casually going out on food runs now and then it the hunger system really dousnt inconvenience you to the point you need to set up a farm to survive.
The devs have also surprisingly over the past what 6 or 7 years not fixed what would seem like simple issues. Kill some deer, you get venison meat, kill a goat-venison. A tiger-venison. A jaguar-venison. Those oversights seem outright ridiculous by this point in time. Even if designing a different look for different meat isnt a priority a name change at least would seem simple yes?
Overrall I think its a great game well worth the price but you must be willing to accept you will find many instances where you will feel things incomplete, because of course they are. Still the devs have stuck around this long and thats highly commendable and I think they deserve more support.
7/10 ill probably keep playing this off and on until ive reached the total limit for things I can do and until I get tired of designing cave complexes for myself. But yeah about ten hours in since my return to the game and since that dungeon run I still feel like im near end game basically not that theres a boss that I know of (I dont look at wikis)
And while I can make an effort to get firearms and the like do I even need them? Scariest looking enemy ive encountered was a tiger but with gear that was childs play, Ive seen a rhino maybe thats more few swing hackproof?
Time will tell how boring this gets now now that I seem to be hitting the wall where progression seems almost pointless.
For the price if you like games like minecraft I think you could get at least a good 5 or 10 hours in where youll enjoy yourself and honestly even without a sale its pretty cheap if you consider the price of so much other shit in the world these days.
Edit-apparently as someone was kind enough to inform me the version I have been playing is old and not actually being updated, so you can pay for an incomplete game and hope the still work in progress other version gets done one day. I mean its only taken 6 or whatever years just to reach the point its at now. With luck maybe the game will be complete in a few years.

This is yet another entry in the survival/crafting minecraft-like genre that had so much potential but just never came together. As has been mentioned, this game has been in EA for 7 years and has basically started over from scratch. It looks great, and the core systems are fine but there just isnt enough there to hold your interest beyond the initial discovery and set up your base stage, and that was before they scrapped it all and started over. I also found it jarring the way fantasy/medieval monsters, setting and equipment were mixed with rifles and power tools, but that's just a personal pet peeve. Worth keeping an eye on, but I wouldnt buy it unless there is sustained and noteworthy progress.

The Java version has come a long long way over the past few years since I tried the demo. I've tried out the building update for the new Unity version and it shows promise, but seems to be reinventing the wheel in many ways, instead of sticking with what has worked in the past. It's a really fun game to sandbox it up in. Probably the most flexible and detailed open world survival craft. Given enough effort you can make just about any kind of non moving structure you can dream up. Id like it if there were more stock prefab parts; like standard sizes like: 2x4's, 8x4 plywood sheets, and roof frames. This kind of stuff takes way too much time to do - you only get 1x6's and 4x4's, which take forever to build with and resizing each parts step by step, with no way to specify dimensions - ie: by typing in a value.

They say a watched pot never boils, that definitely goes for the development of this game. It's done by one/ a few people on the dev team so updates tend to be far between and it's currently being redone with a new engine.

I started with that because it really is the only con about this game. You can easily sink hundreds/thousands of hours into playing it then drop it for awhile and come back when the next update comes out and go right back into sinking all those hours into playing. Think minecraft except with a huge amount more freedom in the building system and no creepers.

Sadly I cannot recommend the game in its current state for the following simple reason:

The original game, which has been in development for many, many years (2014 I think? I believe I purchased in 16') still lacks any real gameplay depth. And now, that original game is abandoned and a new version is being built on a new Engine which is currently in a walking simulator demo state. This means the promotional content you see above is accurate (albeit overselling what you can actually do) but is not going to evolve any further.

-----
If you are a creative builder and can lose track of time just building large projects the game can certainly scratch that itch and the old version (the one currently depicted on the store page) will remain available in a beta branch.
-----

Honestly I would avoid for now, but I do recommend at least Wishlisting/Following the development. If the new version shows as much potential as the old it's worth at least that much. Just be prepared for it to take another 8 years again.

OMG. This game is still in early access? All things considered, that's not unusual for a game on Steam. What is remarkable is that the dev team is still working the game. Of course, the work is slow and updates are sparse and spread out, but hey, at least they're still at it. I bought this game when it first came out I believe, or at least early on in it's dev cycle. It was an attempt to satisfy the urge that Rust gave me but just couldn't satisfy. So I went on a buying spree trying to find the perfect resource/survival game that didn't involve constantly being harassed by griefers or having to play on a server all by my lonesome.

Though this game did not initially satisfy the latter requirement initially, they did promise to have that functionality up and running later and the game made up for it with what they did provide so I was happy for a bit. However, I moved on and forgotten about this game until a few months ago. I like the new look, so hopefully the devs will make better progress this time around.

So far it's been the best survival game I could find. No zombies or weirdlings stalking me, just me, the forest and animals that actually live there. I love the endless possibilities when it comes to building. Let's put it this way- I just bought the game today, started playing it right after installed then played six hours straight and didn't even notice it. It reminds me of Gmod's survival maps with more variety.

This game has been out for a while now, but it is a massive work in progress. It's going to take a while. You can't expect all developers to always be in front of a screen 24/7 either, so I recommend patience. It's a beautiful game. It's not really just a game either. It's more of a creative project of your own. Recently since I typed out this review the developer released a demo of the new version and wow is it fantastic looking. The original version is also amazing in my opinion because I love some simplicity too. Anyway, it's not a Mine Craft clone but has a few similar details of Mine Craft, regardless, there is a huge difference between the two. Buy this game when you can if you're willing to be patient with the developer and you're full of imagination and love crafting and building games with survival included. It's 100% worth it.

awesome game. The best building game on the market atm. It could use some electricity/switches/sensors with daylight and lights. Could also use train tracks for transporting minerals from mines. Ladders should be able to rotate on axis similar to planks and beams. Planks and beams plugin should be mandatory in this game. Rocks should fall under their own weight. Pistons should be added as well as bearings for swinging action. This game is amazing as it is, i just wish to see some of these things put in play in this game.

So the main thing is the lack of updates, and even when there are updates, they are very minimal, some of them are over 6 months apart and added only small things like a boat or a new bandit model (both of which never got finished, theyre just place holders)
but even after 7 years of updates they have gone backwards in development. They re did the gfx and terrain which sounds good but now they have no features again the game is back to its EA release status, with almost no core features or mechanics of the game, its just showing off the new graphics and terrain generation

People will defend this game, most of those people would never play without mods (meaning the vanilla game was not enough to satisfy them) theres also only a player base of like 1k on at a time so their voices are quiet (thankfully)

MOST people are pushing the dev to focus on mod support as opposed to features in the game itself (like survival and combat, both of which are a complete joke and very VERY primitive in a technical standpoint) So its one of those games that is very bare bones unless you go crazy with mods, and the mod community is VERY small and not very good. Be prepared for a game that is heavily mod dependent, and offering nothing in its core vanilla gameplay (sounds like fallout 4)

7 years and this game hasn't made nearly any progress. when you play it, it feels like maybe its in its first year of development (and thats the mode with all the mechanics and features not the beta mode that demos new graphics and terrain systems)

People will defend the Dev, and they should he really is trying, and he listens to the feedback
but in terms of tangible results this game is maybe 12% done after 7 years (almost 8)

So I played this long ago. I hoped with the rewrite the Developers would address the shortcomings of this game instead they appear to have sought only the goal of reproducing what was on a new code base. After a year of waiting, I'm sorry but I wanted a lot more. For the record, seek a black bow over a Rifle. Or Repeating rifle. Even with an orefinder, I have never found sulfur in the world apart from assaulting temples/fortresses. The sulfur requirement on Rifle ammo of any kind makes it a waste. Until they put Sulfur as an attainable resource outside of Temples/Fortresses. The fact you cannot stack steaks or any food apart from Watermelon slices, Apples etc is extremely annoying.

In short the game has all the weaknesses it had before, and after a year of effort, better graphics are the only reward.

Therefore, I cannot recommend this game unless you need something to do for two or three days and want to pay the price.

This game has a long way to go and at the rate the developer is going it should be done around 2026. That being said, it is playable and has promise. If you are looking for a fully polished title you should probably wait to buy this game but I am giving it a recommended rating because I am tired of getting bullied by other users for posting a not recommended review.

The game is quite enjoyable with much to do and a lot of advancements to be made. It is great seeing the world change around you as you develop and you are required to cut forests many trees down to make a single house is realistic and reflective of the real world. Soon the game is getting a new engine which will massivly improve the game and even expanding the modding API so more content can be expected from that alone.

The game runs well on my potato laptop which is great. It's fun for a few hours while you learn the crafting system and gather resources to build all the crafting tables and items of interest. Survival is extremely easy--you can keep your food and hydration levels up by just eating the fruits and vegetables growing naturally. There's no need to farm or to kill animals for food. Killing animals is only necessary to get leather.

Beyond that the only thing to do is to build structures, which is pointless to me with no challenge/goal/survival pushing for it. It's basically a creative mode building sandbox with very light combat/hunting and survival tacked on. Hence only keeping my interest for 7 hours. While I have poured hundreds of hours into games like 7 Days to Die, Satisfactory, Subnautica, etc.

I have not played this game in multi-player mode but the time I've spent building my heart out in single player mode made me realise just what a nice game this is. The building system is very user-friendly with very little restriction. I can only imagine how much fun a group of friends will have with this game, especially if RP should be added. The price of this game in comparison with similar games is another bonus added.

Great relaxed survival feel to it, the shift to Unity seems very promising and the development is ongoing, so I will definitely keep my eyes on this game.

Crafting is quite good, and detailed. I love the fact that the building blocks are small and have many shapes, so I can really create a detailed building, although a massive amount of resources is required, its quite rewarding.

Water does not have physics though which creates some earie situations when the mine ends up under the ocean and not getting flooded, but all and all the amount to do is quite vast.

Read the tutorial and ensure you craft a map before you explore or end up lost like me.

One of my favorite games ever. No stereotypical story to tell you what to do, no magic, nobody to destroy what you just built. You just explore, find food, water, resources and build, build, build. You learn how to use the building materials you craft and then, there is no limit. If you are patient and dedicated, you can make whole cities. Plank... by... plank... As you get more experienced, you can build truly amazing stuff. And, like every good open world game, it has a fishing simulator!
Of course, it has flaws (Tigers in the desert?!?), but nothing too infuriating. It's a quiet game where you don't win or lose, you just get to do what you want and be creative.

It's a nice idea. Here one finds lots of the stuff that's good about Minecraft and lots of stuff that we wished would be in Minecraft.Digging up ores, chopping down trees (that actually fall!), taming horses, smelting, crafting, building. . . it's all here in a world where the terrain is much more natural. What's missing is: adventure, combat, any sense of progression through a larger narrative. It's very much a sandbox, where one fines strewn around a zillion building toys that would be fun in something like Minecraft's creative mode. The game seems to have been abandoned a couple of years ago. I check every so often for updates, but there's never any progress. Until the game is actually built, you'll want to give this one a miss unless it's deeply discounted. The first few hours are a blast. . . and are definitely worth a few bucks.

Rising World is currently in Alpha. So, expect an Alpha game. Having said that, RW is extremely playable and enjoyable - if exploring and building your own world is what you are after.

The survival mechanics are still work-in-progress and are not very challenging in their current state. However, the basic survival elements such as eating, drinking, patching up wounds, and defending yourself from aggressive NPCs are there.

The community has created some fantastic public multiplayer servers catering to almost every style of gameplay. But do not buy this game expecting busy servers.

Crafting and gear progression are there but currently somewhat limited. Nonetheless there are a variety of basic tools for almost all tasks you would expect in a survival/building game.

Would I recommend Rising World? Defiantly.

Fun survival craft game; friendly sheep, horses, cows, sows, chickens; lots of gathering food, abilities to farm, hunt, fish, gather wood for lumber, sticks, stone for crafting,, wool and or cotton to spin and make cloth and eventually clothes. Dangerous animals, dungeons, and night wandering bands of raiders (in forests); tigers, boars, bears, moose, rhinos, etc. Open world adventure with the only limits - well none really. Build homes out of wood, rock, and sand; create windows and craft glass panes to help keep out the rain, wind and cold. Start only with rags on your body and feet and a stone hammer - start with the basic needs food, shelter, water, warm clothes, tools and weapons....the rest is what you make it!

The only issue I have had is the inability to disable F2 (Fly Mode) in multiplayer so I need to keep an eye on other players so they don't no-clip and rob the dungeons. I've only played a few hours so far. The first five were all in a row the night I got it. I bought it and played while screen-sharing in a discord call, and eventually convinced my gf to play with me.

When I first played I started in the snowy biome- big mistake, froze to death and was mauled by polar bears until I created a new world with the default starting point.

I originally purchased this for nostalgia, as I used to play this on my old Sony VAIO running windows XP at like 5 fps. There was nothing to do then but mess with the terrain and stuff. The terrain was the coolest part for me though, the way you could carve out chunks from it and shape it in a very detailed manner. The meshes for the terrain are also not super glitchy collision-wise like you might find in 7 Days to Die or other games with this sort of terrain.

Once I started a world with my gf, she immediately pressed Q and threw her stone axe (you always spawn with one) into the tall grasses. We never found it. I found a randomly generated structure nearby, a little box made of boards and stuff with a broken shelf and a chest inside. In the chest was a tool we'd end up using a ton: a rake. It is just for minor adjustments in terrain, raising a little or lowering, smoothing things out. We used it to clear out a square of grass and setup a temp open-air camp.

The first thing we built was a crafting bench. It cost some lumber, which is refined in the inventory's crafting tab from any kind of logs. Something important to note: we knew to make it because of the in-game guide, the 'Journal', you can open it with the J key. A partly-transparent prompt appears in the bottom-left to tell you about it, which is nice. It explains how to use crafting stations/ stations for refining raw materials, many of which don't have GUIs, which is actually another cool point.

To use the furnace you place ore individually in the ingot molds, then put coal in the fuel slot on the side. Once you have a good bit of coal, generally around 200(?), interact(F) with it to light the fire. You'll know it's done when the ore lumps have become ingots, just look and interact to take them one by one. I found you can just hold the interact key down and just look at them to pick them up. Cooking food and smelting ore can take a while. Ore doesn't burn, so it is okay to just leave it and come back whenever at the cost of a lil bit of coal, but if you cook food you might wanna stick nearby. Burnt food is edible, but makes you really thirsty.

Later we made a blockbench, which is for making blocks of certain materials. You can choose from a lot of different styles of wood, stone and various other things. We started a house next to a pond nearby, using blocks to construct the frame and detailing it with various decorations you can make. There is a stair block, but my gf used boards halfway up the side of each block instead, which looks cooler and also works just as well as the stair blocks would.

This game has a lot of stuff, including animals to hunt, tanning racks to process hides, various medieval weapons, a couple guns (musket, rifle), a lot of different clothes and costumes and armor (from modern military-looking stuff to knight's armor to spooky cult-looking robes to a business suit set and just all kinds), dungeons to explore, bandits and skeletons and spiders to kill, etc. It has been really fun for me.

I don't know about playing on whatever public server or dealing with whatever community, I just grabbed a friend and played with them. I know this isn't an option for everybody, but I still had fun. If I didn't get bored, and I usually get bored pretty easily, everyone else should have a good chance at an interesting experience too. Maybe even a fun one.

TL;DR

I had a lot of fun. Lots of interesting things to do. You can build a cool house and shoot animals with a musket/ bash them with a morningstar/ shoot them with a crossbow and decorate your house and body with their processed corpses. Donno bout public server play and such but it is fun with a friend.

This game has amazing potential, from its graphics to its content. If you are a fan of sandbox games I do recommend Rising World, however you might want to wait a bit until more elements are added as it is still in early access. Enjoy!

So much fun. This game has building mechanics that allow for a lot of customization and creativity. While it has some rough edges it more than makes up for them with excellent playability. Every time I come back to this game there are big improvements and my interest is renewed. I recommend this game if you enjoy survival and crafting type games. Over 100 hours in and I'm still learning new things. Great job, Developers! I look forward to seeing the polished product and the plans for the the hell area.

I bought this game and I do not regret it, I encourage developers to persevere, even if we play with the same principles as mine craft, this game is promising.

Ok, so not a game for the average gamer. Its building mechanics do take some getting used to, but I love it. Its more of a time burner for me and a game that allows me to use creativity. I admit I've gotten frustrated over the building aspects, but this game just makes me come back and give it another try. I can tell that a lot of thought was put into the little details, but its still missing immersion. I've found a few bandits to fight and wild animals have killed me several times. Not really challenging, but the dungeons are where I've found the best loot. With the ability to change settings, I haven't lost my loot when I've died. (thankfully) You will get lost, but leave some type of trail so you can find your way back home. I've only played single player so far, but I am excited to see what the Devs have in store for the future. I would say it worth adding to your library. Similar to Minecraft in my opinion.

I would recommend this game to anyone that enjoys minecraft and building. There is a whole lot you can do from an architectural perspective in this game, but there is definitely a learning curve, and you are going to find yourself irritated by some of the basic elements. Expect to be looking at tutorials for a few hours if you want to create anything serious. I literally spent 15 minutes looking up how to build stairs.

If you are a player that enjoys breaking up the monotony between building, fighting, scavenging/looting and crafting -- I would highly recommend 7 Days to Die over this title. Rising World just seems very undeveloped for everything but building. While 7DTD may not have all of the architectural elements that this game has, you still have an incredible amount of building versatility, and its far easier to create something aesthetically pleasing without having to go into creative mode to do it.

I had noticed this game for a bit and decided to pick it up and see what it was like. Some reviews had said that this game feels like playing minecraft for the first time again, and I agree with that sentiment. Something about this game feels comfy to me. I'm not sure whether it's the overall atmosphere, or the strong resemblance to the art style of games from the mid 00's. Whatever it is, I can surely say that I enjoy the game in it's current state, and that I am excited for the upcoming port to the new engine. I'm sure that this game will be even better in the future.

I can tell that this game made with love. There are a lot of attention to small details. I did chop tree and it felt from hill into pond. And half of tree was submerged into water. But as soon I did chop them to logs, they immediately start floating. When you mine above water, rocks fall into water and making splash noise. If you want map, you have to make it. Do you want to know where is you base? Then build device for it.

And there are a lot of things you can craft. If you like to build this game is definitely for you. There are so many different blocks, furniture and misc items.

I understand that this is small team of people developing game and I think they did quite a good job. They are working on changing graphics engine to make game visually more appealing.

So I started to play this game during the quarantine, desperately looking for a game where I could walk in the wilderness from my desktop.
I really fell in love with this game, and as I am witnessing, it is growing every few months with amazing updates. The building system is quite amazing ( it's like using blender in a video game to build your house. ) It's a lot slower than Minecraft, and not very action driven, but a lot more immersive. I grew up with TES Oblivion and the graphics are quite similar, so it was close to home.
I suggest people to give it a try and to avoid forest at all cost.

Rising World is a fantastic game weather you are playing alone or with friends. i would like to warn you it is still really buggy sometimes. this is to be expected as this is an early access game. one of the things i wish the developers would bring back is needing to forge the parts of the tools in the anvil. i thought it was a really cool experience. the other thing i would like to see that i know a lot of people have been talking about is being able to melt snow in the snow biome so you can get water. i also would like to see the ability to fish from the boats, every time i try the boat slips out from underneath my character and i fall in to the water. all and all i really do like this game, it gives a cool experience to a sandbox world. i am a farmer normally in the game and i love the fact that i can make big fields and plant all my crops. it would be nice to be able to get some npc trading eventually. i feel like then i would not always question my self on such a big cotton crop. if you haven't already i would suggest that you get this game, but be ready for some bugs as they continue to build it.

I absolutely love this game because it is different from other survival games. There are no zombies, instead there are animals and raiders, and yes some skeletons for dungeons and some spiders. Another feature that is cool is the mining system, The amount of time and how far you can dig to the earths core is extremely satisfying. two things i would like to see in the future though are more things to do with cooking, recipies, furnature (fridges, pantries, stoves/ovens), new crops, And I would like to use transportation (vehichles), we have boats now which is awesome but having a truck, car or bike would be fun also.

I bought this in early access a couple of years ago. Checked it this week not expecting much, but the progress is significant. If all you want to do is build realistic-looking stuff, this is the best game out, even before they implement what look like some really interesting features in the next couple of months.
