News Liste Empires and Tribes
Dear Mayors and Veterans of Empires and Tribes,[/p][p align="start"]The journey continues! It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we present our latest project, the spiritual successor to Empires and Tribes: Civica: Italian Renaissance.[/p][p align="start"]In Civica, your journey takes you to Renaissance Italy. Amid rival city-states and powerful princes, you take control of a small village in central Italy and guide it through the ups and downs of the late Middle Ages. You will compete with influential dynasties such as the Medici and find your place in the tension between the still-dominant Catholic Church and the burgeoning humanist ideals of the Renaissance. Immerse yourself in an era full of military conflicts, political intrigue, economic upheaval, and artistic masterpieces.[/p][p align="start"]With Civica, we are continuing the path we started with Empires and Tribes. Some basic ideas—such as the combination of first-person perspective and city building—will be familiar to you. We have consistently developed other elements further or completely rethought them. For example, we are moving away from highly symmetrical building construction: in Civica, you build your cities organically. Roads nestle into the landscape, fields can be placed flexibly, and the facades of residential buildings follow the natural curves of the streets.[/p][p][/p][p align="start"][/img][/p][p align="start"]Above all, however, it was the technical limitations of Empires and Tribes that prompted us to start from scratch. Drawing on all our accumulated experience, we are developing Civica from the ground up. We have not only changed the engine—from Unity to Unreal—but also fundamentally revised our design approach: more global, more scalable, and more robust. We are convinced that this brings us a decisive step closer to our vision of an immersive city builder with unprecedented depth.[/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p align="start"]At the same time, we very much hope to have you by our side again. Your feedback has always been our driving force. Numerous improvements and features in Empires and Tribes have come directly from our exchanges with you – whether discussions about medieval indulgences, attentive bug reports, or your diverse ideas about the dynasty system. We have always been able to rely on your passion and your criticism.[/p][p align="start"]We are also still in the midst of developing Civica. Many systems and features will continue to grow, mature, and be shaped by your input. If you want to be part of this journey, feel free to follow us on our new Steam page, our social media channels, or visit our website.[/p][p align="start"]We look forward to seeing many familiar faces again.[/p][p align="start"]Your Empires and Tribes team – and now also your Civica team[/p][p][/p][p align="start"][/p][p align="start"][dynamiclink href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/4278590/Civica_Italian_Renaissance/"][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p]
