Hat früher sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Irgendwann kam der Punkt, als kein neuer Content kam, Cheater immer häufiger anzutreffen waren und die Spieler immer weniger wurden.

Anfangs war das Spiel echt gut, wir haben dort weit über 200 stunden verbracht. Dann kamen Angebliche verbesserungen, die das Spiel komplett versaut haben. Dann wurde der Duomodus entfernt und somit ist entweder nur solo oder z.b. 2 vs 4 möglich... Schade um ein gutes Game...

Schon vor Release wurde Ring of Elysium von Spielern & meiner Wenigkeit gefeiert. Dieses Spiel hatte sehr viel Potenzial, um wirklich erfolgreich zu werden. Das dieses Spiel kaum noch aktive Spieler hat, ist in meinen Augen die schuld der Entwickler, da Sie nicht auf die Community gehört haben. Nun ist es eines von vielen Spielen was elendig Tot in der Ecke liegt.

Was war an diesem Spiel so Positiv

Ring of Elysium ist Free-to-play, bietet aber keine Pay-2-Win-Elemente an
Das Spiel läuft flüssig ohne große FPS-Drops
Cosmetics kann man sich optional über einen Season Pass kaufen
Ein Klassensystem mit 3 unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten
-Mehr Inventar
-Mehr Mobilität
-Möglichkeit zu fliegen
-Viel Abwechslung in der Mobilität durch Gleiter, BMX-Rädern, Greifer, Snowboards
-Zielfernrohre leicht auf Knopfdruck wechselbar
-Ansprechende Grafik, auch auf niedrigeren Einstellungen
-Der Rettungshubschrauber nimmt am Ende einer Runde bis zu 4 Leute mit, statt nur einer Person
-Man muss anfangs nicht auf die Map springen, sondern sucht sich vor Start des Matches den Spawnpunkt aus

Was viel Negativ im Spiel auf
Privatsphäre ist bei den negativen Rezensionen ein ganz wichtiger Begriff. Denn für manche Spieler sammle die Anti-Cheat-Software von Ring of Elysium zu viele Daten.

Da dieses Spiel kaum noch aktive Spieler hat und abgeschrieben wurde, kann ich nachträglich keine Empfehlung aussprechen. Daher Daumen Runter obwohl es ein cooles Game war.

Ben Frank Jerabeck hat mich als Herr Bierich beschimpft.
Marcel Schander hat mit der G28 ein no scope gemacht.

Es war eines der besten seiner Art.. doch dann ist der Offizielle Reales auf Steam gekommen und, durch jedes Update ist das Spiel immer schlechter geworden.

Der Einfach BR-Shooter der es anfänglich war, hat sich in Luft aufgelöst und ist jetzt auch schon TOT (Lobby-Suche >10min) ...

Anfangs dem Battle Royale-Prinzip abgeneigt hat dieses Spiel aber nun seine Anerkennung bei mir gefunden.
In einer angemessen grossen offenen Spielwelt mit Ebenen und Bergen, Dörfern und Hallen finden sich zahlreiche Waffen und Ausrüstungen, welche verschiedene Spielweisen ermöglichen. Fahrzeuge können eingesetzt werden um sich selber und Teamkameraden schnell aus der Gefahrenzone zu bringen.
Aufgrund der vielen Funktionen muss man sich erst einspielen, um sodann im Gefecht schnell und zielgerichtet handeln zu können.
Die realistische Ballistik erfordert eine gewisse Kenntnis der Waffen und das Einkalkulieren von Flugdauer und -Bahn der Projektile bei Schüssen über grosse Distanz, besonders bei Gegnern in Bewegung.
Hat man die Steuerung im Griff, kann man sich an turbulenten Kämpfen, in Gruppen oder allein, erfreuen.
Die Grafik ist qualitativ hochstehend, der Stereoklang ermöglicht das akkustische Orientieren zwischen gegnerischen Einheiten.
Der Avatar, Mann oder Frau, kann vielfältig angepasst werden bezüglich Kleidung und Zubehör.
Für den Preis einiger Verdienstpunkte kann gar das Gesicht nach Belieben gestaltet werden.
Wer es für nötig hält, kann im Spielinternen Shop gegen echte Währung Zusätze erwerben.
Das Spiel kommt allerdings auch bestens ohne dies aus.

Wer sich gern in Nah- oder Fernkämpfen mit anderen Spielern misst, gern Schusswaffen einsetzt und taktisch spielt, müsste hier das Passende finden.

Das Spiel war super, auf der ersten Map. Alles danach wurde leider nur schlechter. Bugs, Cheater etc. leider hören die devs nicht auf ihre comm.
Das einzige was immer aktuell ist, ist der Battlepass. Schade.

Am Anfang des Spiels durchaus eine gute alternative zu anderen Battle Royal Spielen. Seitdem aber Dione, sowie mittlerweile auch Europa (Maps) entfernt wurden, hat das Spiel deutlich an Individualität verloren. Hier wird leider nicht auf die Community gehört, sondern lediglich probiert noch das letzte an Geld aus einem mittlerweile toten Spiel herauszuholen. Wartezeiten von über einer halben Stunde auf EU Servern sind nicht hinnehmbar. Schade.

Seit die Schnee-Map (Dione) entfernt wurde macht das Spiel einfach keinen Spaß mehr ich hatte lange die Hoffnung, dass die Map wieder permanent (nicht bei irgendwelchen 4-stündigen Events) reingenommen wird, wobei ich das nicht mehr glaube.
Das Spiel war zu Zeiten der Dione Map echt einfach geil und für mich das mit Abstand beste Spiel aus diesem Genre allerdings kann und will ich das Spiel aufgrund des kitschig- unrealistischen Contents der Updates nach Dione und der Entfernung der Schnee-Map die das Spiel so einzigartig gemacht hat keinem mehr Empfehlen.

Wenn man beachtet, dass Ring of Elysium kostenlos spielbar ist, kann man diese Battle Royale wirklich nur empfehlen. Nicht nur wegen der guten Grafik, sondern auch wegen des Gameplays.
Durch das etwas andere Win-Prinzip hebt es sich von den ganzen anderen Spielen dieses Genres ab. Dazu zählt auch der neue Spielmodus, Ashen Eye, den die Entwickler jüngst ergänzt haben.
Bisweilen sind die Matchmaking-Wartezeiten zwar länger, doch da helfen nur mehr Spieler :)

War am Anfang ein extrem geiles Spiel und somit auch mein Lieblingsbattleroyale. Aber abgesehen davon dass die neue Map im Vergleich zur alten Wintermap absolut langweilig ist und mir auf der neuen das alte climbing kit fehlt ist das generell kampf feeling nichtmehr da. Inzwischen besteht das spiel aus 15 minuten looten und am Schluss im letzen feld wenn noch niemand gestorben ist von nem Typen der hinter nem Stein gammelt getötet zu werden. Ich habe an sich nichts gegen diesen Spielstil aber das Spiel basiert darauf und wenn man es nicht so Spielt ist gewinnen ausgeschlossen.

Anfangs war das Game echt geil.. Ein schön Simples Battle Royale mit super coolen Features.. Mittlerweile isses leider zu soner abgeranzten Fortnite/Apex Legend scheiße geworden wo einfach viel zu viel Zeug reingemacht wurde was völlig unnötig ist und absolut keinen Sinn für mich ergibt.. Also wer Fortnite bzw APEX mag der wird dieses Game lieben und für die die ein Battle Royal ohne die ganzen scheiß Features von Boosts/Buffs/Special Skills etc haben will der sollte dann doch lieber bei PUBG bleiben auch wenn das Game auch nich grade das tollste ist, aber immer noch besser als dieses geile Game was leider komplett zerstört wurde da es einfach durch die neuen Features total den Spaß und die Balance/Fairness nimmt.. Ich bin durch mit dem Game

Man was this game fun, probably to date one of the best games I have, and will, ever play. Insanely unique and fun mechanics, great gunplay, easy to learn / hard to master, FPP or TPP,

Until they ruined it. They did it to themselves. It could have been perfect, if only they had ears for the community's voices.

No more Dione, only bots every match, focusing their profits on attractive skins instead of the game itself, dwindling the playerbase to the point where you get 2nd place every time because the one other team in the game that isn't bots is the same team that has played for hundreds/thousands of hours.

This was one of the best games out there and its a huge let down that it's now dead. I'm writing this review as copium because I constantly see this game in my library and in the store and think about how much fun it used to be. It genuinely makes me sad to see such a great game die at the hands of the devs. rip :(

It's a less realistic Battle Royale game that takes everything fun about the genre and packs it into one game. Although the performance is not up to snuff of the other AAA BR's, this game is full of great leaps forward in gameplay that change BR's from running simulators to an expansive team combat game. 4 Stars.

I still remember this game when it was still on Garena many years ago. Sad to see it dying, Devs don't technically listen to the player-base which is probably the main reason for the downfall. If you guys want to play it for a bit then uninstall after realizing you're only playing againts bots for 3-5 games then this game is for you.

Saddened to see that the very first Battle-Royale game to implement pings which were revolutionary at the time (PUBG never had this feature when it first came out to compete with RoE.) is now dying. Cool skins and pantsu show on some Characters though.

This game will probably be the in my library collecting e-dust. Thanks though for making a good game.

If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place.

Ingredients:

1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. 1/4 cup water
5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6. 1 pinch salt
7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices.
4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal.
5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

One of the best BRs ever made but devs weren't too great at marketing and advertising for it sadly.
Way better than PUBG at it's time and even now. Grappling hooks,gliders ,glider boosters and many other round-starter kits which PUBG didn't have. And epic weapon&char skins as well.

The beta for this game was amazing. Hands down the best battle royal I have ever played. The weapons, All of the poi's, The cars, all of it made it such a great game. Then it came out on steam... It had a completely different map, different guns, and the ability's, and made it into a completely different all over the place game. It makes me sad thinking about how much fun i had in the beta just for the actual game to die and not be anywhere near as much fun as the beta. Bring back the beta map and guns and this game could be restored to its former glory.

Bring back the old map, ditch the battle pass, remove the dumb skins. Go back to how it was in 2018 and you'll rebuild your player base. Until then, you'll have a few hundred at most. You're making terrible business decisions.

Back when I played it right after release, it was one of the coolest BR games I had ever tried. The snow resort map, the weapons, the mobility mechanics like cable cars and snowboards are some of the most innovative and at the same time simple ideas I have ever seen in this kind of game. Incredibly fun and even after that, the second map was fine too, with the grappling hook etc. Even the mode where you had to survive the cold was interesting. Sadly it went downhill, since the start. The player base vanished (for good reason) and now it just is some unrecognizable piece of software I wish I had never touched, because it honestly makes me sad to see a game like this fall prey to awful developers.

i miss this game like days before when it was freshly released, it makes me really sad with so many memories, that time it was really good with snow map and glider, snow board, totally different experience. i will install this game again if developers put that map again and without bots. i think its the only hyped game that you can compare with PUBG.

Mount dione was what this game was about.
Snowboarding to escape a snow slide gliding from mountain peaks.
This game is dead as much as i hate to accept it.
If you played this at it's dawn congrats you played one of the best BRs but now this is downright trash

For starters, when this game first released it was incredible. It had a PUBG-like feel but without the glitches and had a map that was the by far the best looking of any other BR at the time. People like shroud, fitz, and other big streamers played this game and enjoyed it. However, after the second map was released the optimization was poor, the glider had to be reworked as it was practically useless, and it didnt have the same feel as mt.dione did. The map felt somewhat contradicting to me and I couldn't tell where the location was even based off of. This games story is of wasted potential and shows how important it is to listen to the playerbase. I really hate how far this game fell off as the memories I have of Mt.dione where filled with the most incredible graphics without performance issues. The devs are the only ones to blame for this. There is no point in playing anymore as very few people actually play. RIP to Ring of Elysium.

the game is good, but after playing for 2 hours, I realized that the game is quite raw, you need to wait a long time for the environment to load or the location where you drive a car, you can just crash into the air. I almost died like that twice.. now the game does not start at all, an error with the - TP sign came out. I reinstalled the game completely and the game is blocked for starting, the files are broken.. the game is good and a good replacement for PUBG, but now it has very strong technical problems.. I can't recommend the game right now

Games was very good at release and following weeks/months. But they honestly only made changes for the worse after release, removing most fun sides of the game, which in turn lead youra ttention to the quite awfull gunplay/gunmechanics the game has.

It's your typical Chinese / Korean styled game.
It's hard to make a battle royale Pay2Win, but believe me I'm far too familiar with Nexon / Tencent shady money making practices. I'm telling you guys all that you need to know to avoid these 2 major badies.
-= First and foremost all of these following problems are rampant across ALL of their games =-
- Their games usually started out great upon release. And NEVER obviously stated they're owned by TenCent / Nexon.
- They will make their games Pay2Win at any chances they get.
- They prioritize making as much profit over the shortest time span.
- They give zero shit to any of their games nor their playerbase.
- They don't and won't address hackers / cheaters.
- Their anti-cheats might exist at release but they usually won't upgrade/update it after a few months.
- Extreme grind, if it's not there yet, it will be there eventually.
- I'll probably get banned permanently for this review but this wasn't the first time and not gonna be my last time.

+You can tell it's TenCent or Nexon because of their shady practices which involve:
- Collecting your game data, they do this in all of their games.
- In some countries they'll ask for your: ID number or VISA or equipvalent of citizenship card.
- Probably collecting your data with some shady files installed on your PC through their games.
- Making lot and lot of character skins, most of which are skimpy females with preferably not Chinese name.
- Loot Boxes and MicroTransaction at every corners. If it got AI, the coding is atrocious.

Now I might be bias and I won't deny that, but you'll find more or less the same review on any of their other games.

ROE is a Battle Royale game very similar to PUBG with a lot of unique features for added player mobility as well as game mechanic improvements like a Dynamic shaped safe zone and an auto inventory/looting system that works. It is created by the same company that does PUBG's mobile game and it is very evident that they have taken most of the things that were wrong with PUBG and learned from them with their own game.

So, here's the breakdown:
Does the game have issues? Yes.
Is it still extremely fun? Yes.

Game was great at launch, Dione was great fun, snowboarding down the mountain, causing avalanches, then the 2nd map came ‘round. It was alright until it replaced Dione forever. Game got boring pretty quick, and now it’s full of cosmetics and cheaters and what not. It’s a real shame, I loved playing it when it came out.

I used to love this game. I thought it would give PUBG a run for its money. When RoE first came out, it wasn't your standard 100 players in a constantly-shrinking-battlefield last-man/team-standing sort of deal. The setting made sense: a resort snow mountain (Mt. Dione) has a massive blizzard coming in. Everyone evacuated except several tourists (you, the players), and only one helicopter is coming back to rescue up to four people before the blizzard hits and everyone else freezes to death. This created an interesting twist because it didn't matter if you killed anyone or was the last person left, the objective was to get on the helicopter. This meant you could have a game with four winners, one winner, or no winners at all. You also had a good snow map (Mt. Dione) which had a nice setup and layout to it.

Unfortunately, everything changed for the worse. They removed Dione for the original Europa map. While adding a new map wasn't so bad, completely removing the Dione map killed a large part of the playerbase. They also removed Duo modes and never brought that back. I honestly haven't played the game in quite some time, but it looks like the developers have abandoned community feedback and are instead choosing to milk this game for everything they can before shutting it down forever. I can only hope that the shutdown comes soon, and puts a once-breath-of-fresh-air to the battle royale genre out of its misery.

This game was fantastic on release and they really just did everything perfectly off the bat, even though it is essentially a rip off of PUBG. However, the game went downhill quickly when they added a battle pass and then changed the map. The old snowy map and the mechanics of the game were perfect and very unique, and they changed that formula and ruined their game. This game is now far less active, and far less fun to play.

I keep coming back time to time to see if Dione is back. I will never forget that map. It was the best map I ever played on any game. And the game back then was pretty cool. It was like PUBG, but made in the snow and everything had logic. You would have the snowboard, the glider and the ability to climb mountains or to ziplines. Now you can fly and do all sorts of crazy stuff. I think Aurora is trying to push it to asian players cuz europe and america loved the game as it was. Onlynproblems back then were some minor bugs. Perfect game gone wrong.
PLEASE RELEASE A VERSION WITH DIONE. NEW PLAYERS NEED TO EXPERIENCE IT AND WE NEED TO RELIVE THE FUN MOMENTS AGAIN !!!

Recently played the game for the first time since early 2019. Ever since Dione was removed as the primary map the game has gone downhill and finding a FPP game is basically impossible. I miss ambushing people by snowboarding down the mountains with my friends :C

Do some deep diving and you'll see the owners of the dev/publisher hold stocks in Blue Hole (who makes PUBG) and then you'll realize they intentionally killed their own game by removing the unique content and switching to sub-par maps to eliminate a PUBG competitor and make them more money. This game is pretty fun with friends but the snow map being gone killed my interest completely. If they put snowboarding back in I would play it again.

I played RoE when it first came out and LOVED it. The snow map was the best. Since they decided to take the map away they have been losing players. Now it's next to impossible to get into a match at least for North America. The devs have no desire at all to listen to the fan base. Take a read through the comments, how many people are wanting that map back? This new one is laggy and not very well made the graphics are bad. Oh well had potential but the developers just don't care about the fan base.

It is very Sad i think this game has massive awesomeness in abundance but none of the POP streamers play it so no exposure another sad fact of where the gaming industry has gone .

As i wait 20 minutes for a chance at a match :( Depressing .....

Update: EU servers have some activity in them

I actually DO recommend this game overall but currently there is NO active player base for the US. prepare to wait for at least 10-20 minutes to find a single match. (IF you find a match at all.)

Literally feels like a PUBG reskin but with more features, better textures/gfx in general and it feels way more satisfying when you get a kill in ROE than PUBG.

Try it, I doubt you will find a match.. but its worth a shot.

This game WAS amazing. The vast majority of my hours were from the days of Dione. Such an amazing and unique map. I have never seen a game be so destroyed by the devs. I decided to give the new map a try to humor a buddy. What a mistake. Ever since I believe Season 2, where they ditched the map that made the game unique to a worse version of PUBG. The grapples ruined the game. Took ALL skill out of the firefight. I would give just about anything to land at ski resort and glide once more with the homies. But no, we get more garbage. I don't meant to be so harsh but you DESTROYED something me and my friends truely loved. Even though its free, save your time.

Ring of Elysium used to be different, the snowy landscapes were very immersive and stunning, now its just like every other battle royale, they really screwed this one up:/

Still gets an upvote for the good times back then!

Dear Viewers,

the Gameplay is really good. It feels authentic much more than PUPG does. One more positive is the Graphics they are awesome. The negative point goes to waiting for matchmaking sometimes its really tooooo long.

I would recommend this game to other players.

Good Battle Royale game, and not hard for beginners. Good graphics (better than h1z1 and comparable to pubg) and have not many cheaters. I recommend this game for all, who like battle royale.

Game used to be great. Followed the typical greedy path: implement skins, focus on making money instead of improving the game. Current state of game is questionable, way too much going on. Simple snow map days were the best of this game.
