Heroes Never Die is somewhat of a hard core game. In the beginner guidance, the playing method is detailed. Now we will give an outline of it, considering that maybe many players have not read it yet. In the game, there are three heroes and three major levels which have been unlocked at the very beginning. Each hero has its own active skills, and also has three passive skill slots which are unlockable to set up skills. Presently, a total of 20 kinds of skills are provided. The weapons of each hero vary, including power, ammo quantity, reload speed, headshot rate, damage area and so on. It should be stressed that the weapon power declines with the increase of distance, and the declining speed varies with weapon. There are supply barrels scattering in the scenes, which will pop game items randomly after they are destroyed. There also may be some exploding barrels which will do great damage to the enemies nearby. Currently, four game items are provided, including smoke bombs, big blood vials, small blood vials and landmines respectively. Their roles are also different. A good match of the hero’s inherent properties with the skills contributes to a high score. Monsters of different ranks, with varying blood volumes, also scatter in the scene, including the common monster, infernal mobs, BOSS and so on which need to be differentiated by players.
Mode gameplay: There are plenty of time columns in each scene. Smashing them, you will get the time bonus. At the beginning, only a two-minute countdown is available. The game is over when the countdown gets to zero. The credits will be awarded to the player for escalation in case the hero still remains alive. There is a certain probability for each ammo and item to fall out, which can be enhanced with passive skills. The number of enemies is not infinite in each level. You can accomplish the mission when the kill count reaches 100. The remaining time will be converted into credits. A combo system is provided in the game. The more the combo is, the higher the bonus will be.
Melee attack system: In case the vulnerable parts such as the head, shank, knee and so on, are hit, the enemy will remain standstill for a long time, during which the prompt of exercising the ultimate melee attack will appear when the hero rapidly approaches the enemy. Shaking the handle (in the VR mode) violently or pressing the lower right trigger key (the non-VR-mode handle) or the left mouse button (the non-VR-mode keyboard and mouse) will start an ultimate melee attack to achieve a one-hit kill and will win a 5-second time bonus in extra. The player can get the time bonus and achieve the goal of killing 100 enemies only by exercising the ultimate melee attack as much as possible. The melee attack also requires continuous study and repeated exercise.
It is the players’ job to explore the optimum route in each scene. We will also present new beginner guidance and newbie tutorial recently.
