Below is a list of the details of the update (Ver. 2.0.4).

1. Boss Rush Course
Boss Rush Course is a special challenge mode where you can battle all the bosses from previously appeared stages consecutively.

In the “Boss Rush Course (including homage stages),” if you own DLC, bosses from your DLC content will also be randomly selected for the boss stages.
* In “R-Type Final 2,” stage bosses from “R-Type Final 3 Evolved” do not appear.



2. Player Ship “Standard Force”

We have added the player ship "F-A Standard Force," which closely resembles the iconic invincible lifeform "Force" that symbolizes R-Type.
This player ship was selected from a poll conducted during the June 2024 YouTube live stream event, "Gathering of Granzella 2024."



3. “FIRST STEP” Difficulty Level
We have added a new difficulty level, “FIRST STEP,” with enhanced support features.
This brings the total number of difficulty levels to eight.

Even players new to R-Type can enjoy the thrill of clearing stages and the satisfaction of defeating enemies. By utilizing the SLOW function, you can learn how to use the Wave Cannon and Force effectively, and develop the skills needed to take on the next difficulty level, “PRACTICE.”

In the FIRST STEP difficulty, the following support features are available:
- Always maintain full power-up status
- Reduced charge time for the wave cannon
- SLOW function is available for use
*The SLOW function is also available in the PRACTICE difficulty level.



4. New features and multiple items added to “Pilot & War Record”

We have added a feature that allows you to display the Force in “Pilot & War Record,” along with several new items: 1/20 scale models of the R-Craft “TL-2AT,” “TH-01,” and “TL-2N,” as well as a Cactus, Plate Armor, and a Terrarium.

In “Pilot & War Record,” Force can now be displayed only when the background graphic is set to “Coastline: Sandy Beach.”

You can unlock these models by using eligible R-craft 30 times.

These items can be unlocked by purchasing them from the store.

5. Two types of decals that you can add to your ship
"R-Type Final 2’s 4th anniversary decal” and “R-Type Final 3 Evolved's 2nd anniversary decal” are now available.


6. Fixed bugs in the craft ranking
The craft ranking in “Pilot & War Record” has been updated so that crafts with the same number of uses are now sorted by craft number.

7. Other Improved and fixed various performance issues.
