Hi guys! Today we want to update you with a few news announcements about the game release and its format. Let’s start with the latter: after long thought, we have reached the decision to split the game into two parts. This decision is to be considered purely authorial, with no other reasons than narrative ones. We just feel that what happens at the midpoint of the game is too intense to be treated as a simple cut-scene that links one scenario to another. We want you to dwell on it for a while and assimilate instead of rushing towards the conclusion of the journey. Therefore, the “episodic” division will remain even when Part 2 is released, just like you’re watching two seasons of a TV show. We are fully aware that many players don’t like to play in “parts,” but this is how we feel The Hand of Glory is best experienced. Of course you are welcome to wait and “binge” both parts together, as it’s totally up to you, but our suggestion is to pause before playing Part 2. It certainly won’t be a short trip anyway: our testers took 6 to 8 hours just to finish Part 1, and you should add another few hours if you want to see all the achievements and Easter eggs we have planned. I hope you all can understand our decision and come to embrace it for the reason intended – trust us, it’s better this way. The wait won't be too long, as the new schedule for the two parts of the game is as follows: Now the good bit: Part 1 is complete! We’re adding voices right now and then it’s just a matter of testing and tweaking the audio. The April 14 release date is locked and a sure bet: we’ll start sending out keys for the beta version to the backers who subscribed to that particular tier pretty soon (probably end of January). We’re very happy with how the game is shaping up and can’t wait to hear your feedback!
