The main reason for the recent silence was the release of SubwaySim 2. Finishing such a large project took a lot out of our team. So we’re even more excited to now return to Winter Resort Simulator 2 with full energy after this intense period.
While we can’t reveal too much about the future of the game just yet, we’re here to deliver something that’s been a long time coming: the official release of Update 16!

At last, the time has come: Update 16 is leaving beta and is now available for all players. Alongside various bug fixes, the update also includes several handy quality-of-life improvements – especially for our modding community.
➡️ Highlights
- Riedkopfbahn now automatically couples/garages when both sections are open and the same spacing is set.
- Riedkopfbahn now starts correctly when both sections are coupled.
- Ski huts operate independently of the time of day.
- Skiers now only despawn shortly before the area closes – meaning evening skiing is finally possible.
- MP Join Screen: Clicking on missing mods now leads to the Steam Workshop.
- A button to prepare all pistes at once.
- Simuverse rebranding.
➡️ Bugfixes & Improvements
- Minimap fix for 1440p resolution,
- Missing switch added to Hexenkessel Berg,
- Direct button to open log.txt in case of loading errors,
- AutoStop gameplay setting now only affects the player’s own vehicle,
- Winch should now tension correctly when joining in MP,
- Fuel price reduced to €1.50,
- Bug fix related to upcoming weather situations,
- Bug fix for SnowGroomer MP synchronisation.

- New API function: EntryLaneWaypoint.isNPCApproaching(),
- New API function: ModListener.onObjectDeselected,
- New map option: skiResort.skierUseTerrainOnly for DonChris Ski Hall,
- RWDefaultConstructor now supports carrierWeight for more realistic sag,
- Event RWControl:onSoundTriggered() now also includes the CarrierId.
