Über das Spiel

3089 is a futuristic, procedurally generated, open-world action role-playing game. All terrain, enemies, weapons, items, quests & more are uniquely generated.

You are a promising robotic android design, made by the Overlord, placed on planet Xax. Your performance in common combat, support & intel scenarios is being closely evaluated. However, will you become too much for them to handle? What else on planet Xax exists that the Overlord doesn’t know about?

Team Rot gegen Team blau.

essentially a better version of 3079 with some slighty different mechanics. more tolerable to play, hence my higher playtime in this game.

I love the idea of a massive, procedurally generated world to mess around, but the start is just such an ordeal. You'll start with shitty weapons that shoot anywhere except where you aim them, you'll get stunlocked by random mooks, and you'll get swarmed by flying enemies who you can't deal with because of the aforementioned guns that shoot anywhere except where they aim (enemies do not have this problem, by the way, and no matter how evasive you try to be shoot you with solid accuracy.) It seems like you can eventually reach competency if you grind up your skill points, but the early game is just way too rough for me to stick it out.

Honestly after giving it another shot there are still some things that should not be...Workstations? why? IF all ur loot is parts having to run around to find a Specific place to be able to use them is STUPID. You should be able to swap things on the fly MEANING ANYTIME ANYWHERE. Next meteor shower is also heat seeking just like enemy fire its designed to just kill u and make u lose stuff. Starting energy pistols are shit which is not a good starting point. Quests are there and give a TINY bit of credits but ur much needed skill points. Sufficient to say that with just a few BETTER design decisions this game would actually be recommended but i just can't. Its small things that hold this back from being a good and fun experience. Every time i started having fun then some shit game mechanic would hit me and id be taken back.

Got it on sale, completed in 28 hours without checking any external guide or walkthrough.

I really like the weapon customization, but not the designs because rifles and launchers are too similar, which is confusing; I played with a self-made HALO-inspired weapon pack instead. Chip and armor customization are OK and the decoy gun may help you out if you don't have allies following you. Robot designs are fine, although the NPC laser gun feels overpowered.

I barely got to use the hoverboard due to a heavy inventory (same issue as with the antigravity pack on 3079). I don't understand the utility of the gravity gun aside of moving crates and the only thing I built was a shed with 5 storage boxes, some turrets and one booster.

IMO, this game is better than 3079, buy 3089 if you liked the prequel.

There are better shooters on steam for the same or less. Pretty slow and clunky with a complicated, but ultimately not very interesting quest system.

Sneak, steal, hide, teleport, sword charge, rip time, kill the target, sneak again.

Form a crew, take on quets, complete them to gain notoriety, recruit a tougher crew, take on tougher quests.

Find a plane, strafe across enemies, dogfight, get shot down, find an enemy plane behind enemy lines, get back to shooting.

Build up your arsenal, grab a board, blast some baddies, get better gear to upgrade your arsenal, blas more baddies.

Find a nice place, fend off nearby threats, build up some walls and a floor, set down some systems and storage, and defend your new home.

Track down bosses, conquer enemy bases, complete content, discover the history of Xax, try to learn more about the goal of the Overlord.

3089 gives players truly open choices for various styles of gameplay. This world is whatevere you make of it, from espionage to military contest to thrillseeking deeper into high-difficulty territory!

At first glance, the graphical presentation of gameplay video led me to believe this is another half-hearted indie game that hoped to make it on plastering code together beyond the technological understanding of the developer. Instead of judging it on that, the procedural generation took my curiosity and I headed to the forums. The developer was answering questions left and right and very calmly and non-defensively replying to those who expected graphics to triumph this title.

This game has an essense I haven't felt since my first few nights of Minecraft Survival. There's so much out there, so much that is unknown, so many things to learn that are alien. The developer really has you immersed in the game by allowing you to figure certain tactics out on your own while being slightly guided through quests and game mechanics.

This is quite a find in terms of up-front visuals and actual beneath-the-surface gaming. Don't that this title for the visuals, pick this title up to support a developer who's actually created some so deep and intimate to the gamer that wants to PLAY and not just SEE.
