Features:
  • Fast alle technischen Geräte sind manipulierbar
  • Remote Control
  • Nutze die Fähigkeiten unzähliger Maschinen
  • Bullet-Time
  • Zahlreiche Fahrzeuge
  • Tolle Physikeffekte dank AGEIA-Unterstützung

About half way through and I'm enjoying Alpha Prime. Many negative reviews note that enemies never miss. Not really true but close.

1) Game has enough health in the form of health packs and health stations to support A.I. accuracy.
2) Game has a slow-down mechanic to possibly mitigate extensive damage.
3) If your you're going in guns blazing even with (2) you will be stomped. The game forces you to adopt, yes a strategy FPS and it's more than decent in its implementation.

Shooters have A.I. with different degrees of accuracy. Some are go in guns blazing, Alpha Prime ain't that. Most likely your failure rate will be significantly high. You will F-Bomb the game and then hit the reload button.

For a 2007 FPS, still looks decent and supports 4K resolutions.

Alpha Prime is a eurojank FPS which is kinda a Half-Life 1 mixed with Far Cry 1 clone

There's some good things about it so let's just list those: Variation in characters, that was quite nice actually. There's also, similiar to Half-Life, some puzzle thinking in taking routes and finding hidden spaces. The ending was actually surprising and not what I expected, I did like that.

What was less good? Everything else.

What was bad? The voice-acting was hilariously bad, but it was so bad it kinda become enjoyable.

So in conclusion I do not recommend this game, maybe not even for the lowest price on sale. Unless of course you want to torture yourself through this.

This was my first game that I ever got on my old steam account nearly 10 years ago. Why did i get it? EB Games had it marked down to $2 TEN YEARS AGO. Did i get ripped off? Not sure, but do F.E.A.R. clones ever drop the ball?

Soooo bad. The game is OK, kinda retro fps, but OMG the weapons suck, the voice acting is worse than bad and they talk talk talk, and the enemies never miss..ever. Even free I would not subject myself to this. In this game you suck and every enemy is awesome, just not worth any time at all.

Lol this game was sitting in my library for 6 years and I only now managed to beat it.

Overall, it's a decent FPS. The graphics actually hold up pretty well, especially in the indoor areas. The shooting is decent, enemies will bleed and turn into ragdolls as you pop them from corners. Your weapons are very accurate and tight, but so are the enemies's, they have essentially pin point accuracy. Which is where the divide with this game comes in.

You can't run in with your guns blazing and kill your enemies in a single hit. You have to peek from corners and chip away at enemy squads. It's decently balanced enough thanks to healthkits and ammo being somewhat plentiful, so you can actually beat this game without the use of quicksaves. Though your bullet time effect is quite useless and nothing like the one from F.E.A.R

Music can be surprisingly okay sometimes. The story is very, very boring. Expect 5-10 minutes of back and forth dialogue of your characters just standing there and talking, yeah, it's not good.

In conclusion. Alpha Prime is not a bad game, it's just very different from the other FPS games of it's time. Would it have been a much better game if it played like F.E.A.R and the like? Absolutely, but it still holds decently well and is kinda fun. It won't take that long to beat either, about 5-6 hours. Pick it up while it's on sale for cheap and you have nothing better to play and see if you're okay with its slower paced combat.

So many strange flaws, an abrupt ending: I love this game and hate it. It shouldn't be so sticky in my memory, but I couldn't forget Alpha Prime, and kept coming back until I'd played it through.

Definitely worth buying on sale if you even kind of like (sf) FPS games.

So you want to play Half Life, but without the incredible story line, and with the acting talents of the scientists mixed as played by Barry of Resident Evil fame? Say no more fam, this game has got you covered.

Ain't that bad as it might seem at first. Just remember to quicksave as often as possible (because you get killed really fast and the game crashes pretty often too) and make manual saves once in a while in case you quicksave right before you'll get killed.

It's decent. The controls are janky at times (jumping and the buggy). The feeling of not knowing who exactly to trust is pretty good. The enemies have god-like aim. The voice acting is awful. Bill Murray as a badass space miner, what's not to love?

Alpha Prime is a sci-fi FPS that is featuring the anti-stormtroopers. Seriously, they hit everything. Their hitscan is so strong that your special slowmotion ability is useless in most cases. I'm convinced that the reviews would be more favorable if the hitscan anti-stormtroopers were less accurate. What got me hooked in this game is the story. Despite the terrible voice acting, I was invested in this game and I was never fully sure whom I could trust. I wished more games were like this.

Alpha Prime has its moments if you can bear facing the anti-stormtroopers.

What a game! :D
This game is just something. At first I couldn't stand it. Whoever voiced Paolo must have been so much not into this thing that he was trying to sound bad. When the game moved forward from that character it seemed actually almost decent.
The chapter where you get to ride the buggy was probably the worst, driving mechanics were awful. Might've just been me but the story was pretty confusing, I don't think the developers had planned the story with a clear sense of direction. Also npc's mention mutants in this game, but I saw only one, which was the final boss battle, rest of the enemies were either human or robots.
Enemies in this game never miss their target, only when there's something in the way, the slow motion or bullet time ability helps you only if you want to be more precise with your shots, you definitely can't dodge a bullet. In some aspects this game tries to copy Half-Life (definitely with health stations).

Overall I don't recommend buying this game. I only played it because I decided to go through the games in my library on Steam that I haven't played. I probably got this in some Humble-Bundle deal. You can buy better games in the price range of this game.
