Archrebel Tactics’ journey began back in 2010 and has been redesigned from scratch three times before I finally found the right formula and honed the skills needed to be worthy of reincarnating and expanding the classic formulas of Rebelstar and Laser Squad turn-based, tactical war games.[/p][p]Progress has been steady since 2021, when I left my job to fully dedicate myself to game development, with Archrebel Tactics as the first title on my list. Unfortunately, after three years of intense work, my funds were nearly depleted, and a few ill-timed real-life events forced me to scale back to part-time development.[/p][p]That said, development is still going strong — and now, with the financial support of MicroProse, I have the option to return to full-time development should I feel my current pace isn’t meeting expectations. - [p]Proximity Mine - New explosive weapon that will detonate when enemy units come adjacent to it.[/p][/*]
- [p]EMP Grenade Launcher ammo - New EMP ammo for the grenade launcher.[/p][/*]
- [p]Hack Tool - The hack tool now can also disrupt the AP pool of target droids, at the distance.[/p][/*]
- [p]Charge Pack - New item that can recharge shields, energy weapons, and droid batteries.[/p][/*]
- [p]Cloak Field - New item that cloaks units making them immune to ranged attacks.[/p][/*]
- [p]Decoy Projector - New item that projects a ranged holographic image to bait enemy units to attack it.[/p][/*]
- [p]Phoenix Shot - New item that revive human units shortly after they have fallen in battle.[/p][/*]
- [p]Webber - New item that will grapple and hold an enemy target in place.[/p][/*]
- [p]Neuro Gun - New item that lets the player briefly control wild life and enemy soldiers.[/p][/*]
- [p]Stun Blaster - New item that lets the player stun living units.[/p][/*]
- [p]Sentry Gun - A one time deployable turret that automatically engages foes.[/p][/*]
- [p]Sunblade - A new deadly melee weapon for the knight class that hits multiple targets in a single strike.[/p][/*]
- [p]Neutron Blaster - New deadly weapon for the Elite class.[/p][p][/p][/*]
- [p]Level up system (update bonus modifiers for attributes, skills, and gear per class based on the new mechanics in place).[/p][/*]
- [p]Weather system (cloudy, partially-cloudy, foggy, rainy, thunderstorm, hazzardstorm).[/p][/*]
- [p]Create new biomes (Desert, swamp, caves and Shardlands).[/p][/*]
