New Environments and Locations

Environment Overhaul
We’re hard at work adding cool new locations and immersive biomes for future updates. Over the past month, we’ve focused on building a robust pipeline to ensure we can roll out these environments faster.
Large Asteroid Outposts
Get ready for massive asteroid outposts featuring caves, abandoned facilities, unique stories, and rare resources. These areas are designed for deep exploration and discovery.
Industrial Structures and Stations
New industrial ruins will join the universe of Astrometica! These old mining and cargo stations will add a layer of mystery and exploration to the game.
Unique Islands
We’re adding more islands, each with distinct styles and elements. Some islands will be handcrafted for storytelling, while others will feature procedural elements tied to your progression.
Drone Companions
Drones are coming! They’ll be available in multiple types: [list]- Storage drones for carrying items.
- Fabrication drones to assist in crafting.
- Defense drones to protect you from enemies.
All drones can be upgraded and equipped, and some NPC drones will even tie into the game’s story!

Grab Tool and Puzzles:
A new Grab Tool will let you interact with physical objects in the environment and solve puzzles.

Liquid Vacuum Tool:
The Liquid Vacuum Tool will allow you to collect alien liquids and other resources in zero gravity. Some frozen liquids will unlock access to new areas.

New Decoration Options
- Wall Types and Decorations: You’ll be able to change wall types inside your habitat rooms and place small decorative objects directly from your inventory. [previewyoutube=UU7Kp4aiTJY;full][/previewyoutube]
- Furniture Fabricator:
A new Furniture Fabricator will let you craft small decorations to personalize your base.

Trading System
A Trading System will be introduced, allowing you to buy and sell items at trading stations. These items will include decorations, asteroid belt coordinates, and more.
Important Balancing Changes
We’re making some key changes to improve gameplay balance and progression.

Blueprint Boxes:
Blueprint Boxes will be divided into three types: [list] - Decorative Blueprint Box: Unlocks new decorations and simple buildables.
- Modifiers Blueprint Box: Unlocks new modifiers for tools and companions.
- Rare Blueprint Box: Unlocks new modules for vehicles and important progression items.

We’re relocating and rebalancing some key locations, like the red cave, and updating the Skipper to make it dockable and upgradable. Don’t skip the Skipper—it’s there to give you a great time! ????

We plan to release three major updates until June 2025, including new locations, stories, and buildables. We’re working hard to ensure these updates deliver meaningful content to Astrometica.
