Das Spiel stellt keine Fortsetzung zu den vorherigen Teilen der "Modern Warfare"-Serie dar, es handelt sich vielmehr um einen Reboot mit einer komplett neuen Handlung. Hierbei soll es vor allem realistischer, härter und extra authentisch zugehen, das Spiel greift dafür auf aktuelle Weltgeschehnisse zurück. Aus diesem Anlass finden sich Spieler in modernen Umgebungen wieder, in der sie hauptsächlich moralische, aber auch taktische Entscheidungen treffen müssen.

Der Fokus liegt hier, anders als zu vorherigen Titeln der Call-of-Duty-Reihe, besonders auf schwierigen emotionalen Momenten. Oft ist es schwer zu erkennen, ob es sich bei einem NPC um eine Bedrohung handelt oder nicht. Der Entschluss zu Schießen, ist ganz dem Spieler selbst überlassen. Bewertet werden die Entscheidungen anschließend mit einer Note von A bis F nach Abschluss eines Levels. Je nach erreichter Wertung erhält man höhere Belohnungen.

Es stand niemals mehr auf dem Spiel! Schlüpfe in die Rolle von Agenten einer Spezialeinheit in einer dramatischen Saga, bei der das globale Kräftegleichgewicht auf Messers Schneide steht. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare bietet den Fans eine unglaublich raue, gewagte und provokante Geschichte, die unnachahmlich intensiv ist und einen Blick auf die dynamische Natur aktueller Kriege wirft. Multiplayer lässt sich gar nicht Starten und Singleplayer stürzt immer an der gleichen Stelle im Spiel ab.
Immer mit einer etwas anderen Fehlermeldung z.B (Create 2D Texture(ind_construction_woodstack_01col_dark1024,1024,0,71)Failed:887a005=Die GPU-Geräteeinsatz wurde angehalten. Verwenden Sie GetDeviceRemoveReason, um die erforderliche Aktion zu bestimmen.

Hab es leider nicht geschafft den Fehler zu beheben

Für fast 40 € gibt es eigentlich nichts Neues zum alten Modern Warfare. Ich hätte mir zusätzliche Aktionen gewünscht.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. 30€ für Ein Spiel das nur Probleme macht. Es stürzt immer wieder ab und ist das Geld auch qualitativ absolut nicht wert.

Ein Remaster des besten CODs? Geil!

dachte ich mir...

Ansich ist der Remaster auch gut gemacht. Visuell sieht es (abgesehen vom hässlichen Instagram Filter und der nervigen Licht effekten) ganz gut aus. Außerdem wurden die Original Modelle des alten CODs genommen was die selben Jumps und Runs ermöglicht.

Leider ist die Playerbase quasi tot, weil das Spiel anfangs nur mit Infinity War verkauft wurde welches ein kompletter Flop war. Außerdem davon wollten die Entwickler natürlich mehr Geld verdienen weshalb diese im Menü einen neuen Punkt eingebaut haben namens: GIBT UNS EUER GELD...

Extra Waffen, Skins und co welche tatsächlich Ingame Vorteil geben können... Absolut lächerlich.

Hätte gut werden können, ist scheiße geworden...
Keine Kaufempfehlung!

The remaster in and of itself looks great, and I'm not knocking it or anything. There's just terrible mouse acceleration/lag that happens when you're using a monitor with a high refresh rate and have a system that can support it. I'll be taking a look around with relatively low sensitivity set, like 2-3, and sometimes I'll end up doing a complete 180+ degree turn out of nowhere. It works perfectly fine with a controller on console, as I've played through it on PS4, but I much prefer mouse and keyboard. I actually had this uninstalled on Steam so long that I forgot it was for this specific reason. I'm going to finish my playthrough of it anyway and check a guide in the community hub or something for a manual fix, but this should've been fixed by a simple patch or hotfix by the devs by now. This game's been out for a hot minute and high refresh rate monitors have been out quite a bit longer.

Yes i recommend! specially when it goes into promotion sales, you will get a nice discount.
Its a remaster of the classic COD4, has better graphics, has new weapons ( some weird ones) but the fun factor remains the same = 100%.
Thank god its a stand alone and does not require COD Infinite Warfare ( remember its launch in 2016?) for the consoles? yeah.

Didn't expect to play multiplayer but 50% discount for MW campaign is more than fair I thought.

However, this one is extremely buggy. My spec: Intel i7-8700; 16G RAM; n geforce rtx 2070.
- 1st bug is that I cannot launch the game as it says I don't have enough disk (while I have more than 100G in two drives), this is solved by booting in safe mode and some tricks after that. You can find it online
- 2nd bug is that on the first few mission (likely the 3rd, forgot the name) the game would crash on loading screen. It says something with my GPU but I had no patient at the time and asked for a refund.

If software issue bugs you, I don't recommend this one.

Yes, this game has a very small player base but if enough people grab it on sale and join the group chat cod:mw revival then you can find matches by joining other group members and you can almost always find a game. So if you are worried join the group chat first see if there is a lobby running and then make the choice. this is day 2 for me and i'm guaranteed a lobby according to the group chat

Keeps crashing for some reason, it'll just freeze out of nowhere. I purchased this game hoping that the reviews would be wrong but as it turns out it was I that was wrong. I would purchase the non remastered instead as im sure it doesn't have the same problem. Great game but needs to be fixed

If you're gonna buy this only to play multiplayer then don't buy it. Buy the classic COD 4 in that case...

Now that we have that out of the way I would like to say that this is a very good remaster of the original version.
The campaign feels and plays the same way. Plus it is visually more appealing (it's a remaster after all).

Definitely wait for a sale if you're willing to buy it (even then cod prices can be inflated).

A classic FPS that helped elevate COD further into its golden age. COD 4 Modern Warfare nearly defined its genre with a engaging story full of fun, thrilling set pieces that would become legendary to the Xbox 360/PS3 era of gamers, with missions such as “Shock & Awe” and “All Ghillied Up” to this day being some of the most well known missions in gaming history.

If you have even the SLIGHTEST interest in FPS video games with good narratives, Modern Warfare Remastered essentially set the formula for alot of games in the past decade that relate to it. Its an experience you owe to yourself.

The port itself is great. Visually the game looks great, still has its style but also looks way more modern(no pun intended) and runs way nicer too. Audio sounds great, virtually the same game but touched up.

Yes. A great game for it's publishing date (2007). And it felt good in 2022. Storytelling is impressive, characters are good and interesting but i didn't embrace Cpt. Price like everyone. I think this game only one bad thing: Price. It's still too expensive. I bought this with Call Of Duty: İnfinite Warfare Legacy Edition and it cost a litte bit less but still expensive. As a remastered graphics are really good and gameplay still works fine. I finished in veteran and honestly some episodes like ''Heat'' drove me crazy at times but all aside I had fun to finish. I'm recommending for FPS lovers.

I am stuck on the bog because of some stupid technical issue with the game i have not found a single fix for it and this is the second time i have tried this game and second time i have requested my money back for it it is not worth getting

It is a great game, I have played the original, but don't buy this game as chances are most likely you will be so disappointed with all the problems that comes with it sorry to say :-(

Would be a lot more fun if it didn't crash like crazy and have tons of technical and stability issues.
Have to disable shader cache for some missions to work, run the exe in windows 8 compat mode for some weird reason and then I gave up when I couldnt even boot it, no matter if I selected the game's built in safe mode (!) or not.

It's a good quality remaster don't get me wrong, one of the best shooters of all time with a fresh coat of paint...

I recommend you buy the original cod 4 tho, there are way more multiplayer servers and you can get it for a fraction of the cost of this one

It's a great remaster, I don't care about the online or co-op, but the campaign is the shiznit. I loved the campaign years ago and this brings back awesome memories of what may be the best COD campaign ever in my opinion. It's a damn shame we will never get Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on Steam but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I bought this off a third party key site and it came with infinity warfare, season pass and everything for like 9 dollars USD. I'm happy with the purchase and love going for the achievements as well. If you can get it for cheap like I did, it's an easy recommendation especially if you're like me and only want the single player experience.

Morally ambivalent political thriller in its first half and tightly paced 90s action movie in the second half, it remains some great popcorn entertainment now with a fresh coat of paint. Obviously at the end of the day it is still a Call of Duty game with all the caveats that label inherits, but for what it’s worth it’s a darn good one.

game crashes everytime i boot up multiplayer pissing me off i just wanted to play some mwr with a friend that already has it

EDIT: refunded the game the problem that i had with the game is because the game just doesnt work with rtx cards apparently me and my friend spent hours trying to find a fix but couldnt find anything that would help we went to several different forums here on steam trying to get a fix and several different 3rd party sites to try and find a fix to no avail ive seen several other people having the same issue as me they all had rtx cards

Playing on stable Win 10, 7700k GTX1080. Keeps crashing every time you change video settings while in game. Making changes before playing seems to work all right and game runs 100fps, but game crashed once again right after intro sequence (after shooting of president). Seems really unstable and unplayable, going to refund. Shame.

Only a greedy motherfucker like Activision would ruin such a classic with this bug salad, wacky console port and charges this much for it. After getting out of the TV station in the first American mission, the game just crashes no matter what you do and that's that! Multiplier is also dead dead long ago...

Awesome game, I'd only buy this during the sale though, only major bug was trying to load a mission The Bog , and I dedicated a whole day trying to fix it, I even wrote a guide about it if you need help. Besides that the graphics are amazing for this game and I'd totally recommend anyone trying to play this classic, honestly one of my favorites from the Call of Duty Series and a masterpiece by Infinity Ward in HD.

Going to rant about multiplayer, not sp, SP is just as great as the original.

I actually love multiplayer, but can't recommend - because game is dead. Around 100 players or less are playing.
I love that they made other maps like Bog, Downpour, Bloc enjoyable. In original CoD4 we hated these maps and only played the most popular maps like Crash, Backlot, Strike and never played the rest, in this game you enjoy every map, I started to like them. Combat became a lil bit more realistic, great graphics but that's it, the rest just dissapoint me.
Team Deathmatch is the only alive regime, Search and Destroy - dead, Hardcore - dead, everything's dead except Deathmatch. You can not pick a server, game does it for you. Sometimes you wait for 5 minutes in lobby and think about turning this off and play original cod4 instead.

I literally only own this game for the single player, and aside from a single hitch with The Bog (Mission ~3) its great; that being said its Call of Duty and thus us too damn expensive to buy.

An otherwise great remaster is ruined by its price tag, sloppy porting job, and a nakedly greedy multiplayer. The developers should be commended for their excellent job on the campaign, which elevates what was already one of the series best with enhanced presentation and new details. But it is wrecked by technical issues with the PC port and a lootbox laden multiplayer that actively ruins the gameplay of the original with needless and imbalanced additions, and you won't find an active MP game today. $40 is asking far, far too much for this.

Beware of cheaters online. Even though its real hard to find 6 people to start an online match, when you do there will be a cheater or two hiding in plain sight. It's horrible. To find online games, first find someone playing it. Join their game through their profile. (I play it sometimes) Then if they are in a lobby all the people you play with will be in players met through the social tab in game. Full controller support, it's cod 4 with better graphics. Decent story. No second launcher needed, probably the last decent effort or at least the last best choice the franchise has made so far. Usually get matched with foreigners and campers though, its not any fun anymore, they camp camp and camp more like there going to win money or really die. it's a pain in the ass when you first start because you can't even get a sniper gun to combat it. So you gotta play with the camping foreigners with extreme latency issues. Sure you can unload a mag in someone but watch their kill cam..... foreigners. I only recommend this game for the single player campaign. You will not have a good experience at all with the multiplayer. And 40 dollars is too much I doubt it will ever go on sale though because call of duty moved to battle net.

I am overjoyed that they remastered this. I know a lot of people complain about what seems to me to be minor issues. But I mainly did this for the interesting campaign which did not disappoint me! I hope they start remastering the others soon so I can play those campaigns again too.

Crazy carousel of action and crazy pace of the game, this is how I remembered the original MW, but after ten years the game seems simple to me and I finished it without any problems in a few hours on the difficulty of a veteran.
The progress of the campaign made difficult and at the same time improved, was the collection of achievements, some of them were real angry raspberries.

The game's engine looks downright obsolete, especially when it comes to destroying the environment. Neither exploding grenades or helicopter rockets have not the effect you would expect on the surroundings.
A huge amount of enemies and chaos on the battlefield sometimes make the game an unforgettable shooting range of endless waves of enemies, and it must be realized that the enemies will respawn indefinitely, it only ends by reaching a point or completing a task.
The famous Chernobyl All Ghillied Up, which I've been looking forward to for years, is exaggerated by its eye-catching scripts, and if it came out today, it would be much more critically received.

Modern Warfare caused a real earthquake in the gaming industry. After nine years, you can now play it again in a more modern form. Although she still has fun and looks much better, the tooth of time is still visible on her. 75%

It's a classic, remastered.

Good Points :
-The story was fantastic, it is set in a more depressive period
-The characters were memorable
-Yuri and Makarov are added in this remaster
-It is when COD seriously became good, and this remaster makes it even better

Negatives
-The Multiplayer sandbox was changed when no one asked
-The campaign on Veteran is very unfair, your team does not follow you when you have one or when you don't, they send an entire regiment after you. You mostly shoot the enemy while your teammates stay in cover.
-The Price. It shouldn't be $50, but $20-$25

I thought I would give this a go (EVEN THOUGH SO MANY COMMENTS SAY IT'S AN AWFUL PORT), and unfortunately the comments are correct...

Played the first 2 missions in campaign and the intro movies cut in and out of sound resulting in lost information of the mission, frame rates are all over the place, game freezes randomly in and out of mission.

I bought this game on sale with infinite warfare SOLELY for modern warfare remastered (comes bundled) and applied for refund today from steam and have now been refunded.

All I can is, this game for PC is near enough unplayable in places.

THANK YOU STEAM for refunding.

I don't recommend this remaster, just get the original COD4. While the graphics obviously won't look as good, the DLC that is $15 here is free on the original, you get the same campaign, there are no supply drops, there is mod support to make the game fun, and there are also multiple servers to play on. Only good thing about this version is that it looks good and you don't have to buy Infinite Warfare to play it anymore.

This is one of my favorite CoD games for single player. the graphics are good, some of the firefights are intense, and overall a fun experience. Unlike most later CoD games, there aren't many cut scenes and the game rarely takes control away from the player. There are still too many missions where you are stuck following an AI character, but not as many as in some later games. Overall a fun experience.

I really don't get all the negativity surrounding this game. I've been playing COD's for 18 years now. And this edition truly was one of the best games of the decade. To be able to replay, and relive this excelent remake has been an absolute joy. The Chernobyl mission is a true masterpiece, and one of the reasons why I still play games now and then.

Its truly is A shame the state of Mwr regards to the community absense This game really is one of the most extensive remasters of a classic we all knew back in the 2000s not some nothing hd edition it still looks striking in 2021 more maps aswell you can see the effert raven software put in to this Though it may have its problems here & their & evidently mixed in with activsion greed of trying to get you with the price & petty cosmetics to buy it don't matter. its the bridge between the Snappyness of the old Call of duty & the Punchyness of MW2019 & Absesne of in cold war the thing about the original its stil so to go back to is the everything had its place the maps were wildy varied to gameplay style snipers feel purposeful the classes were all just as equal to be countered sweet & simple.

I was so excited to play a remaster of the old Call of Duty 4, but unfortunately, the crash on launch stops me from even being able to find out the problem. I can't play the FIFTY-FIVE DOLLAR (REAL MONEY) game that I just bought.

The remaster itself looks amazing even though I'm clearly late to say that, the new animating, graphics and sounds are just beautiful. You can make a great game for PS4, and then the PC port is absolutely fucked up, and that's with most of the new Call of Duty games. If the game was still in support, this would be fixed already, but the only modification to the game that I and other players will expect is for them to raise the price to $90, which would be the last straw for their sales on this unplayable game.

Hopefully one day they realise that nobody can play it and lower the price down to a good $5 where it's quality level belongs, but for now, I've refunded the game, have my money back and will buy a game that you can play with it if I don't waste it all on water crackers first.

This is one of the greatest remasters ever made!!! I love love love Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare! It's a masterpiece and one of the greatest games of all time and one of my favorites! So as soon as I could I bought this online for a cheap discount because Activision is full of greedy bastards who won't lower the damn prices!!! This PC Steam version however is a steaming pile of crap!!! It keeps crashing on a loading screens unless you disable some graphical settings!!! Activision you fix this right now!!! The multiplayer as everyone knows already was raped and butchered by Activision with it's microtransactions and greedy practices!!! I would saying buying this game is worth it for the singleplayer campaign alone but do not buy this Steam version get the console versions on either Playstation 4 or Xbox One!!! This steam version suffers from stuttering issues and framerate problems from time to time!!! The Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on PC is optimized so much better than this pathetic port!!! I can't wait for Modern Warfare 3 Remastered!!! This is easily the best and definitive way to play the original Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare if they fixed this damn game on Steam!!!

The campaign is the only thing playable other than that don't waste your money on this game. Says here I spent three hours trying to load/populate shaders just for the game to crash. The possibility of finding a match without lagging is close to impossible that is IF you find a match.

This recommendation comes with a strong warning to buy the game specifically for the campaign and ONLY when on sale.

The single player is iconic at this point and it's just as good now as it was when it first came out all those years ago. Playing through it with the remastered graphics and sound design in a way makes it feel fresh, especially when that nuke goes off. Not much else to say for the campaign because we all know and love it and it's the soul reason to buy and replay MWR.

Multiplayer however, is a shitshow. Constant frame rate drops in menus, continuous server crashes and matchmaking that will immediately put you back into a server that crashed. Barely anyone is playing it and when you eventually find people it can take up to 10 minutes for a lobby to be full before the match starts. Odds are you'll only ever be playing Team Deathmatch as all other game modes have zero players. And to add insult to injury, Activision decided it would be a great idea to add supply drops and microtransactions to the multiplayer and charge us £12 for a map pack we got for free over a decade ago. NO THANKS!

My advice - buy on sale specifically for the single player campaign and don't even waste your time installing the multiplayer.

I simply can't recommend a game that has a bug/crash so bad that it doesn't allow you to finish the game. I am stuck on the loading screen for the tank rescue mission and it will not load. Up until that point it was excellent. Dissapointed. PS...I have been trying for the last 6 months to play it and still the same problem.

The game is stuttering in multiplayer for no reason, this problem is pretty old, not even fixed yet!
I don't get it why the new call of duty games are so huge, i guess they don't bother anymore to compress the files.
Besides this, you have to wait for around 30 minutes to intall the shaders when you install it for the first time, what the hell?!
Poor port, lots of issues, don't buy it, waste of money!

DON'T BUY THIS GAME COD REMASTERED!!!!!! TRUST ME!!!! I bought this back in beginning of August 2020. I was playing the single player mode and now about 3 weeks ago it wouldn't launch the game. I tried uninstalling and installing the game many times and still no luck. In the beginning, I would also check out the online multiplayer section but no one there at all. I think it's because of this issue. I can't even get a refund from Steam because it's been over 2 weeks from purchase.

i'm proud to say this is the first ever game i've got all the achievements for out of all my library, both pc and consoles.
it doesn't have mod support like cod4 but its quite a lot of fun, and pripyat remastered is totally worth it.
oh, and without an ssd the game can take up to literal minutes to load a mission, at least for me (but i'm not getting any of the constant crashes some other people complains about so i guess i got lucky).

Great single-player experience with some hard to get achievements (Mile High Club)...Don`t know much about the multi-player as majority of times CoD games are infested with cheaters so I tend to avoid it.
Game runs well on an average PC build (not expensive, not cheap either)...
100% completionists, make sure you have a lot of time and patience.

no one plays the game online due to issues cause by the developers. the story mode also crashes out often. i'm not a computer tech however i have done several trouble shooting methods suggested in online forums without being able to solve the issues.

For me personally, and as an avid follower of COD franchise the last few titles have lacked something for me. So I went away from it only to be drawn to this remastered version. My experience is the Multiplayer mode kept crashing whilst trying to load shaders (and that ate into my 2 hour trial time) so that function is non existent and from what I have read from other posts the in game multiplayer is pretty empty. I found the single player mode to be buggy in the intro which results in missed conversation so your not always fully briefed for the mission but when you get into the game its pretty good. If this was an early access game I would understand it but it is not and I feel it is somewhat overpriced for a single person game, which is all I can use it for.
Game download is over 40gb for a non playable multiplayer mode and 16gb for single player mode

For me personally, I think this is the final version of call of duty that I will buy and I now refer to it as Call of Death...

My recommendation is - If you want this game but it in the sale

Most missions of the second half of the campaign will either crash on the regular, or have a mediocre balance in the most extreme way possible in vet difficulty. This remake feels like a botched and rushed job that is significantly worse than the original because whatever piece of shit in charge wanted some quick money. I can only imagine that the devs felt like they had to put their cocks in it and change whatever they could at the lesser cost, which resulted into the flaming pile of hot garbage before your very eyes. Make yourself a favor and go spend your nostalagia money into a company who actually deserves it.

AT A GLANCE:
5/5 Stars - CoD is my favorite FPS game series, and I would absolutely recommend this title. All the Modern Warfare games are great games and I recommend them all. The storyline flows together very well between CoD: MW 1, 2, and 3. I suggest starting with this one and from here they will just keep getting better and better.

GAME DESCRIPTION:
Release Date: July 2017, Remastered Version - Mission based game. Complete missions in squads or with your characters close marine teammates in single player campaign mode. Also has a multiplayer online mode. Play against other PvP's in online combat.

KID FRIENDLY:
(First know that I am very strict on kid approved material. A game with a standard rating of PG I might rate at PG-13. These are my ratings, and have nothing to do with standard ratings)

My rating is R. Not only because of the military style scenarios, but also because of the language that is used. With a military style game comes a military style mouth.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
50 Achievements ranging from easy to very hard to accumulate.

GAMEPLAY:
The target acquisition is really sharp. I use a PS4 controller and it works great for me.

VISUAL EFFECTS:
The visual effects are incredible for when this game was first made. The people all have a realism to their looks and movements. The graphics really put you in the game.

AUDIO:
Everything about the audio is great. Wartime scenes, and the sound effects add to the atmosphere of the game, and the characters voices is the best! Love it!

STORYLINE:
Incredible storyline! Love how things progress through. Really makes the game hard to put down when you want to find out what happens next.

REPLAY VALUE:
With a great storyline, and fun missions, this game has some serious replay value.

PROBLEMS/ISSUES:
No problems installing the game. Everything ran fine until I got to about the forth mission then it froze up on me. I restarted the game and it froze up again in the same spot. I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and it still froze up in the same spot. So I decided to uninstall everything related to this game completely then reinstall it. Unfortunately it still froze up in the same spot. I did some research and found a credible solution to try. I went in to the advanced graphics settings and disabled the shader preload option. Played the game again and I have not had a problem since. Thank you fellow Steam CoD players for posting this in the discussion boards.

The game is great, at least the singleplayer. Same COD4 as you remember from way back. Multiplayer is dead, nobody plays it. Sound and graphics are reworked and finding intel in levels unlocks various cheats you can activate from the main menu. The only thing that sucks is the price, so there's that. Activision does not like to reduce price of CODS, period. Just look for when Advanced Warfare Deluxe goes on sale, and you can probably get this and that for less than $30. Best you will probably find.

Great graphical upgrade from the original game

For comparison sake, I have replayed the original game a little before starting this remastered version. To be honest, the graphical improvement is awesome! I've read the other reviews that this game caused a lot of crashes. Fortunately it doesn't happen to me at all. I can play the game almost perfectly with no technical issues at all (except for maybe the longer load time and the occasional stutter during the mission briefing while it was pre-loading the shaders). Maybe because it was due to all the tweaks that I have done on my PC to play Advanced Warfare last time.

Steam Achievements

The original game does not have Steam achievements, so I think this is a notable added feature for this remastered version. However, it takes a lot of effort and luck for 100% completion, it totally wasn't worth the time and effort. Some of the achievements are very unfair challenges. They are totally not fun to even try.

Gameplay and story

The story is exactly the same as the original game. The level design was good back then, but feels a little dated when compared to today's standard. It is still fun to play through if you can lower your expectation a little.

I don't like the fact that they decided to remaster just the graphics, and did not even bother with re-balancing the game. The enemy spawn is still terribly scripted (they spawn almost indefinitely if you aren't moving forward), the grenade spam and RPG spam is very annoying to deal with, and there are a lot of timed missions that put you in very difficult situations, which aren't any fun to play in (even on the easiest difficulty). They were acceptable back then, but not enjoyable if compared to today's standard.

Conclusion

It is a very nice graphical upgrade to the original game. Other than that, there are no other positive improvement.

Not worth the purchase as a standalone game. If you care about the story, get the original non-remastered version. It is way cheaper, and you don't miss out that much.

But if Infinite Warfare is on sale, this is a great bonus to buy it bundled together.

My score: 6/10

Game freeze while loading the mission ACT-1. I Uninstalled/reinstalled and tried every possibility but did not work. I requested for the refund and they wont process my refund because the game play exceeded 2 hours.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

The single player is great and visually looks fantastic, definitely an improvement in graphics compared to the original. Missions are mostly the same, only one I noticed had changed was [spoiler] when the nuke went off [/spoiler], again another improvement. Going for all achievements was fun too as it was something I did as a kid (nostalgia). Modern warfare (Original) always had the best campaign and the characters are just so memorable.

Not even going to play the multiplayer as it seems dead (less than 300 people online). Along with everyone saying it is just full of hackers and can’t forget about the DLC weapons. The game isn’t even f2p.

Overall, only buy if you want some nostalgia or looking to experience the modern warfare story line. Stay away from multiplayer, dlc weapons is a complete joke especially for a game that isn’t free and rarely on sale. Recommended only for campaign.

Allow me to explain in my personal opinion and I only played the campaign.

A big no, it may look amazing but it plays buggier than the original one and took things off from the original one maybe because they don't wanna get political to some certain country (pity...sigh). I had more amazing moments with the original one than this. Among of the bugs I wanna rant about is that the intel I collected wasn't counted at the end of the game so wth...?

But if you're big fan like me, then sure, get this and probably you'll at least play it once.

Remaster of an amazing game, such a shame it ended up like this. For starters, this is a 3 year old game that still costs $55 AUD. Secondly, I spend the first hour of my time trying to get the game to launch, nothing I did stopped the 'out of memory' error. Suddenly, after trying everything under the sun with no luck, the game starts working out of the blue.

Performance in game was GREAT, however choppy and long loading screens were a pain and the game was never able to remember settings that I applied. The multiplayer spent 45 minutes installing shaders (I'm using a fast drive, it shouldn't take that long), only to find no active games. Then, when exiting Multiplayer and going back to Campaign, all of my Campaign progress was lost.

SUCH a shame, could have been an AMAZING product if these errors didn't make it unplayable. Requested a refund. Heavily advise against purchasing, if you do, make sure it works through multiple restarts, then get a refund if it doesn't.

A true modern shooter classic re-imagined and looking incredible with the complete graphics/UI overhaul. If you like COD or FPS games you have to play it, its that simple!

EDIT: I read a few other reviews complaining about the multiplayer and that it is apparently crashing, my review is purely about the single player campaign it is outstanding and I have had zero stability issues. The only complaint I have is that turning Vsync on seems to lock the fps to 50 for some reason, will have to do some investigation into how to fix that

This is a review of the Single Player Campaign.

This game is riddled with crashes. The desert levels in particular are the worst.

Constantly being bombarded with IDXGISwapChain errors. Nothing I have tried resolves the issue.

I have now finally reached a point in the game that I just can't get past, as it consistently crashes.

If anyone is interested at what stage my crash occurs, it is on the level when you play as the US Marine and you are in control of a grenade turret on a transport helicopter. Just after you first touch down and deploy some marines, the helicopter takes off again and moves on, a green smoke event happens shortly after. Between the touchdown and the green smoke, I get a guaranteed crash.

If anyone knows how to fix this I am happy to amend my review.

This is not stable. It hard crashes with video card errors during load screen between missions. Not fixable - This happens no matter what you try. Locks up on the load screen with a video card error. I am running an M.S.I. Ge force R.TX 2080 Supra that runs flawlessly with anything else. But with this game and only this game I get a GPU error message. Tried replaying the mission from the beginning and still the same GPU error. You would think that the developers would have tested it with my very common modern hardware setup. But this is a huge fail. I just hope I can refund it. Being that I did more testing than their P.V. department - and they should actually pay me. 40$ for a giant brown lump of ...

As much as I love the Modern Warfare series (I have MW1 Remaster, MW2, MW3, and the new Modern Warfare) I cannot recommend the Remaster at this point...

Everything was going smooth until Mission 4. It freezes right at the end of the loading screen for that mission.

I will happily change my review as soon it's fixed, or when a solution is brought up.
