Cave Digger ist ein Virtual Reality Bergbau-Spiel für HTC Vive, Oculus Rift und Windows Mixed Reality.

Das Spiel findet in einer kleinen Stadt eines alternativen Western Universums statt. Rüste dich mit ramponierten secondhand Werkzeugen und -Geräten aus und steige in den Aufzug, der dich tief ins innere der Mine bringt. Erkunde die reichen Adern, die nur darauf warten von den fleißigen hart arbeitenden Bergleuten mit ihren Spitzhacken aufgeschlagen zu werden!

Kehre an die Oberfläche zurück, um dich zu belohnen! Verbessere deine Werkzeuge, um tiefer in der Mine vorstoßen zu können. Neue Werkzeuge eröffnen dem mutigen Arbeiter neue Möglichkeiten: hinter dem nächsten Granitblock erwarten dich härtere Materialien und wertvollere Schätze.
Wie viel Reichtum wird genug sein? Wirst du aufhören können? Was passiert, wenn Du nicht aufhören kannst? Die Antwort auf diese Fragen und mehr liegen am Ende der Mine.

Es ist sehr gut aber mit der ganzen hectique kann das Kabel com HTC VIVE HELM sich verheddern und es ist immer das selbe

Nach dem letzten Update läuft das Spiel besser, aber stürtzt trozdem nach ca. 5 - 15 Minuten regelmäsig ab. Das Spiel ansich macht Spaß und ist gut gelungen, schade das es trozdem unspielbar bleibt.

Cave Digger von Mekiwi ist ein sehr gut gelungenes Minispielchen.
Der Spieler steht in einem Bergwerk in einer Gondel und muß in kurzer Zeit die ihm umgebenden Felswände abbrechen, um nach Rohstoffen und Artefakten zu suchen. Im Laufe des Spiels kann man seine Ausrüstung verbessern bzw. neue Werkzeuge kaufen. Geld erhält man am Levelende für die gesammelten Objekte.

Das Spiel nutzt wunderbar Roomscale aus und dank der beschränkten Umgebung der Kabine funktioniert das Spiel auch in einer Besenkammer.

Die Grafik ist, wie sooft in einem ansprechenden Cartoonstil gehalten, sieht witzig aus und paßt zu dem nicht ganz ernst gemeintem Inhalt des Spiels. Man sollte auf keinen Fall vergessen zu essen … ;)
Abgerundet wird die gute Spielerfahrung noch durch die gute Musik und den lustigen Sprecher. Und einen Wiederspielwert erhält das Spiel durch die eingebauten Errungenschaften.

Mir hat dieses kostenlose Spielchen gefallen. Nett gemachte Physik, flüssige und gute Grafik und motivierende Freischaltungen. Für 1 Stunde kostenlosen Spaß reicht es allemal!

Ich hab nur kurz reingeschaut, aber das was ich bia jetzt sehen konnte hat mir sehr gut gefallen.
Nur kann ich die Spitzhacke nicht dauerhauft halten. Das stört noch ein wenig. Aber sonst finde ich die Grafik sehr gut gelungen.

Dieses Spiel kann ich aufjedemfall weiterempfehlen

Could have been a must have VR game when it first came out. However the developers showed how little they cared with forced in game purchases, in order to ever progress in the game.

Guarantee there is no other game that feels more like a chore than a game.

I got this game when it was free, it's nothing more then a glorified tech demo though. You go down a mineshaft, mine various valuable gems, go back up and buy more items to help you mine more gems. That's really it, there's a time trial mode but that is just the regular game with a timer.

Tl;Dr - Don't pay $20 for this, you'll have instant buyers remorse. Wait for it to go on sale, or become free again.

gave the game a shot a few times. really couldnt get into the whole time trial aspect, you get to spend maybe 2:30 on a floor. meaning getting all the resources is more of a race then anything else, somthing that usually doesnt feel great in VR, and this is no exception. i was expecting a bit more of a puzzle experience or just a chill mining game.

TLDR: not a fan of time trials. rushing in VR doenst feel good.

Very fun game for VR. It's one of the very few games that have depth in the place that u are in, Feels like I'm in a cave mining, it's really good!

Not to mention, I was lucky to score this game before it became a paid game, I got it when it was a free game!

it was an okay game when it was free. my only complaint is they made the drill dlc only. you can get the bucket but no f***ing drill. whats worse is oil pockets appear and it tells you how to use the drill.

I played this game for free before they put a 20$ price tag on it. It was ok, but I decided to try out the game again once the price increased. What did they change? Nothing. They just want to make more money even with a 15$ DLC. Don't waste your money on this considering you get a half-hours worth of playtime before you get bored and play something better.

I played for only about 5 minutes using valve index setup. I found that consistently the ax hits, saw cuts, and such were not recognized. Also, things kept falling out of my hands. This made it a pretty frustrating experience. That said, its a fun concept and I think with a a few fixes I would play it again.

I'm not sure what it is about this game. It should be more fun, but it isn't. You're on a mining run. You can use your pickaxe, you can use dynamite, you can use a scanning tool, you can use a chainsaw, you can use a drill, etc. You then put the valuables in the middle crate. You can move within your roomscale or teleport. You have an elevator that takes you down 3 flights. It seems that each run is randomly generated. Your goal is to get as much cash as possible by getting the most valuables. With that cash you can buy more tools.

I think one of the problems is that you never have enough hands for everything you're supposed to be doing. You're supposed to scan, then put in a drill, then put in the dynamite, then light the dynamite. Of course that requires moving around and putting the tools in the hooks. All on a timer. The whole mechanic of having to grab the gems to put them in the middle is more tedious than fun, they should probably cut that part out or, alternatively, implement it more realistically.

The whole game just feels more like busy work at the end of the day though. There doesn't seem to be a challenge or that much of a fun factor in the game actions available. However, this app is free. It works as intended. I could see some people having fun with this. But after 20 minutes, I kind of don't want to play this anymore. It just needs something more. Maybe if it was less on the arcade side and more on the sim side. Or maybe it should go full speed ahead with the arcade side of things. It seems to be in the middle and that's just not interesting enough for my tastes.

Rate 5.5/10. Meh. You might like it more than I did.

Perfect game for room-scale, and also has locomotion for smaller play areas.

Above average for a free game. The graphics are excellent, and the basic gameplay is fun. Some of the mechanics are awkward for me. Tools disappear and then reappear later, both the trigger and grab button are related to holding tools, one hand must remain free to pick up stones. At least you don't have to bend over to pick stuff up, because of tractor beam grabbing.

It is an awesome start for what could be a excellent game, If they release a paid DLC where we could leave the car and venture out into the caves, I'll buy it.
