“-Travis Touchdown... This place bring back any memories?
-It's only where my last killing spree started. All those screwed up ranking fights... Now WHY would I remember that?”
~No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle

There are good games, there are bad games and there are games that are absolutely, completely f*cked up. In every way possible. I remember when this game was announced during E3 2014 and everybody was like “OMG! There's going to be a new D game! And it's going to be an Xbox One exclusive!” Sure, the ugly cel shading in trailer looked absolutely disgusting, but hey! It was a new D. And even though Kenji Eno's games were far from being perfect, they sure had their own fan base and as for me, Japanese horrors are always welcomed. The biggest question was... da heck happened with D3? I mean, we had the original D for 3DO, Saturn, PlayStation and MS-DOS, and we had D2 for DreamCast. Now, what about D3? Back in the days, I thought that I've missed something (Japanese market is pretty unique and they have a lot of games released exclusively for mobiles, for example), but guess what? D4 is not related to Kenji Eno's D and D2. In any way. Instead, the title here comes from “Dark Dreams Don't Die” (which has four words starting with the letter “D”) and the fact that our main character here is yet another one of those Philip-Marlowe-like hardboiled detectives who's trying to catch a person whose name begins with “D”. Why? Well, because that person is directly related to the death of his wife and his own memory loss. In other words, it's just a bad promotion, similar to what Nintendo did during Wii U announcement.

Anyway, the story sound painfully generic, right? Well, technically, it is. At this point, it's hard to take such stuff seriously and personally, every time I see this kind of story in a modern game or movie, I begin singing that Hardboiled Detective song from Gintama. And it looks like Hidetaka Suehiro, who directed this game, understood that. Especially after things didn't really go well in his previous game, Deadly Premonition. So-o-o... what did he do? Well, he added tons of crazy sh*t. Like... you know. Suda51 kind of sh*t. Remember all of those killer7, No More Heroes and the others? That's exactly what we've got here. Half-naked nekomusume, Bane with his Venom, time travels, Bruce m*********ing Willis... In other words, it's a thing for hardcore stoners. You know how it is. You see some random crazy bull happening on TV screen and you're like “Snoop Doggy Do-o-ogg~”. I'm not judging your life choices, of course, but let's be honest, swallowing all that as a real deal? It's just painful. And to make things worse? We didn't even get the whole story here.

That's right. D4 was planned as one of those episodic games. And like any other episodic game that didn't sell well on start, this one was canceled after just a couple of episodes. That's right. By paying for this, you'll get prologue and a couple of episodes that end with the cliffhanger. And with literally no hope for the story to be finished... let's... just say it feels completely pointless. But hey! You can buy tons of DLC! Which are, like, the stupidest things I've ever seen. I mean, OK, different skins for the main characters are pretty common, but cursors? Seriously, I'm not kidding. They're literally selling us cursors (Microsoft Plus! lives, suckaz!)... for an unfinished game... that ends after the second episode... with cliffhanger... What... the f*ck... were... they... thinking?! That moment when you failed, but instead of giving people things for free as an excuse, you still sell extra content because you're greedy a-hole. Good gosh, y'all... So... three f*ckups already, right? Failed promotion, failed story / directing and failed business model. More than enough for a thumb down already, right? Right. But guess what? There's more. Like I said, everything about this game is messed up. Everything. So... time for us to talk 'bout the gameplay.

Let me ask you a question, guys. Do you remember Wii? That cute little thingy from Nintendo that introduced the world to motion controls? Remember all of those games without much gameplay in them, which were still fun because of... you know. Motion controls. You were literally just walking around, clicking on things and watching the results, but thanks to the unique controls, it felt a lot like you were there, in the game, interacting with things. Personally, I loved all that. Games like Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, Another Code: R - A Journey into Lost Memories and the others? Like I said, huge fan here. But the funniest thing is – when such things were ported to other platforms? The entire magic used to disappear. I mean, how many of you, guys, remember playing PC version of Cursed Mountain? Somebody? Anybody? No? Why am I not surprised... Things that were meant for motion controls just don't work without those. Why am I telling you all that? Well, you see... D4 looks like a Wii game. It looks like a Wii game, it feels like a Wii game and I really wonder why it isn't a Wii game.

Long story short, you move your character by selecting fixed points on map (feels a lot like movements were designed for Wii Nunchuk), you try interacting with everything (interacting consumes stamina), you earn money by talking to people, pushing things (again, asking players to push everything is a very typical motion controls thing) and do other things, you spend money on healing items, you use some sort of sixth sense to get hints about what to do next in order to progress the story and you fight enemies by performing QTE. The end. In other words, it's a pretty typical adventure game from Wii. Looks like one too thanks to how ugly those cel shading visuals are. And, of course, it feels absolutely, completely terrible without motion controls.

You want more bad news? Here comes! The PC port sucks butt. For example, the only resolution the game offered me was 720p. And something's telling me that I didn't pay for 4K OLED TV to play games in 720p. Even the oldest monitor I have on me is 1080p. Da f*ck with 720p thing?! Sure, you can say that there's unofficial patch that brings proper 4K resolutions to the game (works perfectly fine and doesn't interfere with Steam client in any way), but... seriously, you know how it is. The fact that some kind people decided to fix the game doesn't mean that those who sold it to us deserve any credits for that. Crappy release is crappy and that's it.

Like I said, this game is f*cked up in every way possible. Every... single... one. D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is short (less than four hours) and ugly episodic game that was canceled long before proper finale, the story is a terrible mixture of bad taste and nonsense, while gameplay feels like a poor port of mediocre Wii game. Is there a way to fix this? Well, technically, they can put it on Switch (which, like Wii, has motion controls), while finally adding the rest of the story, but first – I doubt that'll ever happen, and second – since the story is an ugly mess anyway, I don't really think that D4 is worth saving. One way or another, don't you even think paying for this. Even though they ask only $14.99 for this (forget 'bout DLC, just... forget about it), you should totally avoid this title. As long as you don't want to feel bad about wasting four hours of your life on it. Dixi.

So it's great game, it's fantastic, I enjoyed every minute of it, and then it just does a 'canceled TV series' on you. It's just get's canceled in the middle of the story. It's a horrible practice that should not exist in games. And we should not encourage the practice or we would see more games coming in seasons and then getting canceled as soon as publisher thinks is not bringing enough money.

D4 is really a hard game to describe. Basically it’s kind of a weird detective adventure (3D exploring mixed with QTEs in between), but reducing it to that wouldn’t do it justice in my opinion, it’s just SO much more than this. First of all, it’s a game by Swery, and everybody who knows him, surely is prepared to be taken on a really out-of-this-world ride. Actually in this case I don’t want to spoil too much, because half of your journey really lies in the personal experience. But you’ll meet an interesting story that doesn’t always make sense, featuring loads of metaphors and memorable sequences I guarantee you’ll NEVER forget, as well as characters that are deeply flawed (like one of them constantly eats, or another one behaves like an ingenious cat). The game even has some instances where it harasses you intentionally, but in a good way :P

To sum it up, can’t praise this game enough, honestly. Only downside, and yeah, this is where it gets sad, this is only episode 1. So it stops right in the middle of the story. But think about it, if enough people buy this, maybe we’ll get another episode. Just don’t lose hope.

And last but not least a final good advice, remember to give Amanda gifts constantly, because, no s**t, you don’t want to miss the squirrel dance ;)

(Disclaimer: For anyone who wonders, I played this some time ago, and also offline, so my playtime doesn’t reflect this)

The graphics piqued my interest because it seemed unique. However, the game controls eventually became slightly exhausting. The story is unique as well, but the let-down is there is no conclusion. The game had such potential but unfortunately, it was discontinued by its creator. I didn't know it at the time, so I wasted some 15 hours of my life. Do yourself a favor and try other games instead.

D4 is such a beautifully crafted game with an amazing story. Shame it is left at a cliffhanger and not continued on. Hopefully one day someone will be able to bring a continuation or conclusion to this sweet adventure. It is short, but I would still recommend it for anyone. This is legitimately one of the most unique games out there. There's not much to talk about it, with it being so short, but I really do recommend you buy it on a sale.

Some negative points:
- Unfortunately, this is an episodic game that got cancelled in its first episode, so we only get an introduction to the story.
- The gameplay can be quite sleep-inducing sometimes.
- It feels kinda janky to control.

On the other hand, it has some completely stellar things that make it worth experiencing:
- Swery has such an unique sense of humor and this game overflows with it, be it in narrative elements, characters, little references, or even certain gameplay actions.
- The characters are unlike anything I've ever seen, and they behave in such an absurd way you can't help but laugh.
- Some action scenes are simply a treat to watch, with how they're set up, played and develop.

Notes: Very unique and fun but an incomplete story that will never be finished which frustrates the crap out of me because of its cliff hanger ending. I went into this knowing it had been canceled but it ended up souring my experience as I played through because to my surprise I was loving the game. I almost stopped playing before I beat it because I didn't want the disappointment.

PROS:
-Instantly loveable characters
-Great music
-Engaging narrative
-That signature Swery writing style is in full effect

CONS:
-Will forever remain unfinished due to Microsoft cutting the funding

It's hard to explain Swery games to a newcomer in a way that can really sell it to them. The best way I can put it is, if you're looking for an unhinged but somehow still cohesive and engaging narrative, bizarre characters, and a jazzy soundtrack then take a chance on this. I don't want to say too much because I feel like it would spoil the off-the-wall experience a bit but just be warned that if you do take the plunge, the game sadly ends on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Microsoft wasn't impressed with the game's sales and unfortunately opted not to continue funding it.

Truly a special little game though, and unlike anything else I've ever played. If you're a Swery veteran, then you'll be at home here. If this is your first time, then you might just find yourself a new niche.

This was a pretty great game. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The game ends abruptly on a cliff hanger, and the continuation of the story was canceled. I loved the quirky, surreal world and story but was extremely disappointed when I reached the end and found out that the story was going to be forever unresolved. The game was originally named D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, I can only imagine that the -Season One- was added after people began complaining, and while that does indicate to the consumer that you're only getting a partial story, it also alludes to a Season Two that will never come.

I don't believe that the game should be removed from the market place, like another review I read. It's an interesting play through that I think many people would still enjoy, regardless of being incomplete. I also think that $15 is a fair asking price for the amount of content you receive. However, I do believe that it should be clearly noted that this is an unfinished project and the story ends unresolved, so players understand what they're getting into before they buy.

I am genuinely so depressed this will not continue. Playing this game in 2020 is a godsend due to how perfectly SWERY captured the future societal zeitgeist of catwomen/cis men in a laser focused vaccum of a western technological landscape our internet lives on. Coming off of Deadly Premonition fame, it could have been very hard to follow the same humor, but it follows it up perfectly. In fact, I think it's overall much better tonally than Deadly Premonition 2 (which I still liked).

My only criticism with the narrative:
Personally didn't like the ending of Episode 2, it felt very cheap with D's actions towards Olivia specifically and felt like it crossed the line over the comical tone that preceeded before in contrast with Olivia's soberingly realistic reaction. But, knowing that it was cancelled or he left, whichever it was, it's easy for me to see that it was rushed.

This is difficult to write because I had so much fun with this game. It's zany and bizarre and the characters are so full of life. There's so much personality here and all of it good. I prefer to go into games blind and I regret that with this game. Season one ends on a cliffhanger, and due to various licensing and disagreements and behind the scenes stuff - there will be no more D4. Which is a darn shame because I had a lot of fun. This isn't SWERY's fault and I think he's a VERY talented man, but ultimately the game leaves more questions than answers. I wouldn't feel quite so disappointed if the game weren't so one of a kind good. (The main theme song is also a complete jam.)

Still - if you like plane trivia, you might not mind the unsatisfactory ending...

Starting up this game I was unpleasantly surprised by its lack of technical options. With limited available resolutions and zero support for wider aspect-ratios, I was forced to play on a windowed mode. One which was not even transparent but instead captured my mouse and required me to alt-tab to the other windows. The initial scene of the game did little to improve things. Set in a frozen lake, the white dominating the setting did the game's limited graphics no favours. Couple that with an introduction to some rather unusual mouse-only controls, along with a strange, largely symbolic or nonsensical narrative and you have a fairly negative initial impression. Still, being too early to draw any conclusions, I pressed forward and things turned out quite differently.

Shortly after that initial scene the game introduces you to the protagonist, initially a collection of various detective clichés but with a twist. An amnesiac, ex-cop, seeking justice for his murdered wife against a mysterious crime boss that also had him shot in the head. The twist? Surviving the attempt on his life granted him the ability to visit the past using objects he calls mementos. A trait tailored and suited to a crime investigator. In quick succession we are introduced to two more characters, his former partner who takes care of him and a strange cat-girl living with him. The twist and the quirkiness of the supporting cast finally made me realize what I should have noticed from the beginning. This was not a film noir detective story. This was a bona fide anime style experience.

This realization enabled me to enjoy the game. I have seen a fair number of anime in my day. I understand the tropes and can appreciate their style. So for me this was a surprising but welcome twist. The overexaggerated animations and expressions, the larger-than-life and highly eccentric supporting cast, the continuous juxtaposition of the realistic and the ridiculous. The game makes ample use of all that and is successful in weaving a compelling mystery through a captivating narrative. The two episodes included in season one set the bar quite high and successfully raise expectations... that apprently will forever go unanswered. You see the game is short, afterall it was supposed to be only the first part of a larger experience. But the creator having broken from his company and dropped the project means we won't be getting any more.

So here is how it boils down. This is a very interesting intro to what could potentially be a great interactive-movie/adventure. Despite its severe technical limitations, despite relying almost exclusively on QTEs and spot the blinking dot for gameplay, it works. Particularly for people familiar and fond of anime, I would recommend it without much of a second thought. If not for the fact it will never be completed. This throws quite the spanner in the works. I still think it is worth experiencing. I will still recommend trying it out. But always while pointing the finger at the elephant in the room. Beware, this game is abandoned and incomplete.

Absolutely amazing game... that is incomplete and never will be completed. Ends on a massive cliffhanger too. The creator had a falling out with the publisher and I don't blame the creator based on what I've read. But the game really shouldn't still be listed for sale in it's current state.

This really is a fantastic game and I'd absolutely recommend it, especially if you're a fan of Swery games.

HOWEVER

Go into it knowing that there will never be a season 2 or any form of ending, which is a goddamn shame. If the story was completed I think I'd like it even more than Deadly Premonition, which is saying a lot because I love Deadly Premonition.
There's the same level of charm and over-the-top goofiness, with a genuinely engaging story beneath its wacky surface.
The gameplay itself is simple, but a blast. Its point-and-click/QTE detective adventure that never felt boring or stale. If you can get past the fact that it ends on a (really great) cliffhanger that will never have any sort of resolution then you should do yourself a favor and play it. Its great.

This is a fun game. The discoveries and mini games are also fun. At the beginning the character turning in space system needed to get used to and might have been solved differently, but because the game was developed for a console first, might be an explanation.
It's a pitty that there won't be a second season: https://steamcommunity.com/app/358090/discussions/0/1694920442954292518/
But maybe, if all the players would confront Access Games to hand over the IP to Swery's White Owls, then maybe?
Anyway looking forward to Swery's new upcoming games.

An interesting narrative story built around qtes(quick time events) and operates as a point and click during the other portions of game play. The story is pretty good, and has enough interesting/bizarre characters and events to keep it moving smoothly, but by the time it really builds up and develops its hook, the game unfortunately ends abruptly with no more seasons to finish the story line(this being confirmed by the director). I really enjoyed the game and do recommend it, but make sure to buy it on sale because I cannot validate the current price for a game that is only a one fourth of what it should be.

If you can deal with the fact that there's about a 0% chance this game will get a season 2, I highly recommend D4!

- Relationship between main character and his wife is done really well
- The game can be very weird, The interesting kind that makes you wonder what's going on in the story
- Game has a good sense of humor that doesn't take away from the serious moments

This game is fun, interesting, and will be loved by anyone who enjoys the adventure games made by Telltale. However, this series has lost support nearly half a decade ago and will never have a conclusion to its story. This game's main appeal is the story, so the lack of an actual ending makes it not worth buying for most people. Although, if you wanted to see what this game is all about and the cool and unique visuals, it is worth the buy while on sale, although I wouldn't get too attached to the story unless if you want to be dissapointed.

Ignore the playtime, I previously played this on Xbox.

Probably my favorite game that SWERY has ever made, it has a lot of originality that Deadly Premonition lacked, in my opinion. Plus, the more narrative-focused gameplay means there's no strange design decisions and glitches that make the game unplayable. However, only get this game if you can accept that the story is never going to be finished, and appreciate what you get. What you get is basically a pilot for an amazing TV show that never got made.

Is this game perfect? No
Does this game make sense? No
Is this game original? no.

Do you like David Lynch? yes? Buy this game?
If you want a well-crafted experience, where the sum is better than its parts? buy this game.
If you see this on sale for less than $2.00 buy this game.

Because seriously if you spend more than 2 bucks you'll be upset over the cliffhanger and short time it took to get to that ending.

Knowing, this ends unfinished I spent the time playing it, wanting to go watch Lynch movies and try to figure out the plot twists that will never be.

Whatever. Buy This game when it is on sale, and experience the style drip, and the women dressed as a cat who lives with you.

Game #76 10.2.2020.

I’m sad. Not like “crying” kind of sad, just sad. I’m sad because I finished D4 (or what’s available of it) and that there isn’t anything else remaining about the game (unless I want collectables and to replay some stages).
*sigh* D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is a… f***ing weird game. It’s not good, it’s not pretty to look at, it’s not even that fun to play… and yet… it’s so likable, memorable, silly, childish. The best way I can describe this game is: imagine a child who read too many books trying to write a supernatural murder mystery. It starts of good but the more you read to it the more you realize that a child wrote it.

D4 was made by SWERY, the same legendary man who made (one of my favorite games of all time) Deadly Premonition. Deadly premonition (I’m gonna review that soon too) is pretty much the same as this game – F***ing weird… and I love it. In fact, the only reason I heard about D4 was because I loved Deadly Premonition so much.

Swery, for better or worse, does not know how to make a good game, nor does he know how to write a story that makes any sense whatsoever but the moment you start paying attention to all the crazy stuff that’s happening in the story, you simply can’t look away. It’s truly amazing. His games, have bad controls, bad aiming, bad combat, bad driving, bad QTEs, even a badly written story, but the way how he creates a weird scenario, how he makes overly eccentric characters and makes them do illogical things is just so heart-warming. It warms my heart to know that there is a place for artist like SWERY in our video game words because he would probably be laughed at by the movie or book industry.
Anyway, let’s talk about D4 and why it made me so sad.

Dark Dreams Don’t Die is a … I guess, point and click adventure game. The closest I can get is a “Telltale like game”. You basically watch the game play itself and only occasionally you move around and interact with the environment. You collect pointless things, you have a pointless stamina bar, you have quizzes about airplanes,… yeah.

Originally, this was supposed to be an Xbox One exclusive for the Kinect. Anyone remember the Kinect? I had a Kinect once. It sucked. In case you don’t know, the Kinect WAS a motion camera that you placed in front of your TV and it would register your whole body and perform in game commands based on your movements; in other words, if you jumped in real life, your character would do the same. That was the idea, the problem was that it didn’t really work… like, it barely worked at all. I can’t tell you how well/badly it worked on the Kinect but I can tell you that this works really well with just a mouse. I never had trouble controlling the game.

The gameplay of D4, consist of you mostly doing mundane things. When you character wants to open a door, you move your mouse from left to right. When your character needs to jump, you move the mouse up, however, all of this is very context sensitive. Most of the time, you will just be listening to the story and occasionally clicking around. The game will try to get you to be active by giving you random things to quickly examine during cut scenes. You also have extremely over the top QTEs where your character will perform over-the-top stunts that even Bollywood movies would say was too much. To be fair, I did have more fun with this style of playing than that of a Telltale game. While most of it is pointless, I appreciate that the game tries to keep me engaged while mostly it plays itself.

Gameplay is never the strong point of SWERY’s games, so let’s talk about what really matters: THE STORY. You play as an EX Brooklyn detective David Young. David’s Wife, Little Peggy, was murdered a few years ago and the case was never solved. She was involved with a new type of drug called “Real Blood”. After her Death, David quit the police force and started his own investigation/revenge.

Now this is nothing out of the ordinary but David also has a very special power. He can travel back in time. He doesn’t get into a Tardis or the Delorian but rather takes an item specific to a time period (a momento) and focuses on it. This causes him to black out and travel back in time where that object was relevant. Using this method, he plans to find his wife’s killer, avenge her and, hopefully, change the past?

David Young is a more-or-less normal guy but the people he meets are anything but normal. He has a neighbor that wears a bunny girl suit and behaves like a cat (meows, climbs on furniture, eats from bowls, doesn’t talk), he meets a fashion designer who always travels with a mannequin and talks to it like it’s a real person and… I’m going to stop right here because I really don’t want to spoil anything else. Let’s just say that the characters in this game did not disappoint. None of them are well written or well voice acted but they are just so laughably eccentric in the worst ways imaginable and the game just keeps throwing more of them your way.

D4: Dark Dreams don’t die is a s***-show… and I absolutely loved every minute of it, which is why I was so sad when I got to the end only to find out that the game was unfinished. You see, the game was supposed to come in episodes, however, the episodes were canceled after the second one. So you are basically stuck with a prologue and two episodes. It’s a very sad end to an otherwise very enjoyable s**t-show. The game ends on a huge cliffhanger and leaves you with an even bigger hole in your heart, at least that’s what it did to me.

In all honesty, I know that because this game is unfinished I probably shouldn’t recommend it but… it’s just so bad it’s good, just like Deadly Premonition. You know that feeling when you purposely want to watch a bad movie thinking it would make you cringe? That’s this game, except, instead of making you cringe, it makes you smile.
Get this game, if you are in the mood for a story that’s so bad it’s good… but get it when it’s on sale.

Next game: Daikatana

This is an episodic point-and-click adventure game with quick time events (QTEs). While it does try to follow the same formula as games developed by Telltale Games and Quantic Dream, it ultimately fails to provide a satisfying gameplay experience due to several major flaws.

The story follows David Young, a detective with the ability to travel back in time to experience past events, who is investigating his wife's murder. The plot is pretty weird and confusing, especially in the beginning, and is left on a major cliffhanger as the game has been abandoned by the developers. Season One consists of a prologue and two episodes which come nowhere close to concluding any of the characters' stories. The characters themselves are pretty bland and one-dimensional; none of them are remotely attractive except for Amanda, David's cat who appears as a nubile young woman dressed in a leotard in David's psyche. I'm not gonna lie, a hot blonde girl roleplaying as a submissive pet is very arousing. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The biggest problem with the game is the controls. Regardless of whether you use a mouse or controller, the ingame cursor is extremely clunky and the cursor sensitivity will either be too slow or too fast no matter how you adjust the settings. This makes movement in the game and QTEs an absolute struggle.

Even though this game tries to copy Telltale Games, unfortunately it is not one of those games where your choices affect the events in the story. There is only one correct dialogue option in every conversation, and you are awarded with credits if you pick the right one, but the story still proceeds the same way if you pick the wrong option. Unlike other adventure games or even point-and-click games like the Monkey Island series, movement is severely limited. There is no free roam using WASD; to move around you can only select specific spots on the ground to jump to and look around. QTEs are extremely annoying to complete due to the terrible controls.

Most of the gameplay involves hovering your cursor over interactable hotspots marked by exclamation marks, waiting for David to analyze them (which is extremely annoying as there is no option to make the object descriptions appear quicker or instantly; you have to wait for them to slowly appear one line at a time), then grab or push the objects to initiate a cutscene. A lot of these interactions award you with credits which you can use to purchase new outfits, songs and food to restore David's stamina. Interacting with hotspots consume stamina and if you run out of stamina, it's game over. There is plenty of food in almost every room so you won't reach a point where you get stuck due to lack of stamina as long as you take the time to explore your surroundings. The outfits are basically just reskins of all the characters' default costumes; unfortunately there are no sexy outfits in this game which is a huge disappointment. The most skin you'll be seeing is Amanda's legs.

The cell-shaded graphics aren't that bad but unfortunately the characters aren't very attractive to begin with.

Ultimately, I do not recommend this game due to the horrible controls and repetitive, unrewarding gameplay. The story might have been interesting, but it is left hanging with no conclusion at this point.

I didn't want to recommend this, since it's so brief, inexplicable and half the game is spent waiting on a certain someone who speaks as though the game's running at 3fps...but what the hell?

I must admit I enjoyed this strange and unique dream. How can I knock a dev team with the vision and cajones to spend years on an absurdly off kilter project guaranteed to fail? They're some of the few in the industry who understand character isn't something you build at the gym...

A Japanese designed game made for the American audience. The game has a lot of weird things that got lost in translation, which results in some inadvertently funny scenes, catchphrases, and tropes. Catgirl, helpless female characters, Americans stuffing their faces, diminutive nicknames, listening the to main character droning on and on about trying to find 'D' - to name a few.

The movement is janky and weird. Quicktime events are required to do simple things like open doors which is silly. Still the story was intriguing enough to overlook all the faults, however unfortunately it seems the game has been abandoned and no new seasons are planned currently.

You are home when someone starts banging on the door. You open the door and a sexy blond woman behaving exactly like a cat jumps you and tries to make babies with you. You never seen her before, you don't know who she is, but from that moment on you name her Amanda and she lives with you.

After that she keeps trying to make babies with you, when you least expect it, licks you, flirts with you in meowy ways and behaves always like a cat...

O-okay.. I tried my reasoning skills, but I just have so many questions to the dev. 「(°ヘ°)?
