UMARME DIE DUNKELHEIT
Dark Moon ist ein Survival-Strategiespiel, in dem die Zeit gegen dich arbeitet. Die Elektronik des Monds wurde deaktiviert und es liegt nun an dir, den Himmelskörper zu erkunden und Kontakt mit der Erde aufzunehmen, während du deine Crew und Ressourcen verwaltest. Du weißt nie, was dich auf deiner Reise erwartet, also bereite dich auf wichtige Entscheidungen und die daraus folgenden Konsequenzen vor. Egal, was du tust, gehe nicht ins Licht!

Deine Aufgabe als Mitglied des Engineering Council von Moon Shell ist es, den Bau eines neu entwickelten Abbausystems auf dem Mond zu überwachen. Dieser einfache Auftrag nimmt jedoch eine dramatische Wendung, als ein massiver Sonnensturm auf die Erde trifft und jegliche Elektronik zerstörte. Kurz danach fällt das Kommunikationssystem des Monds der Sonne zum Opfer. Du bist jetzt auf dich allein gestellt und alles, was in die Nähe der Sonne kommt, ist binnen weniger Sekunden zerstört. Das Licht ist dein Feind und die Dunkelheit deine Rettung.

SOLARDRUCK
Die Sonne zerstört alles, was ihr in den Weg kommt. Du musst dich also von ihr fernhalten. Der Mechaplex – ein riesiges Allzweckfahrzeug – dient einerseits als Operationsbasis, aber auch als Fluchtmöglichkeit, sollte dein unermüdlicher Feind zu nahe kommen. Du musst immer in Bewegung bleiben.

NICHT-LINEARES SURVIVAL-SPIEL
Jeder Playthrough bietet eine neue Erfahrung, da jeder Ort und jedes Ereignis unvorhersehbare Ergebnisse mit sich bringen. Scanne das Terrain und die Hindernisse mit deinen Drohnen und bereite dich auf das Bevorstehende vor. Andere Überlebende wollen sich deiner Kolonie anschließen, doch bleib wachsam. Sammle Mineralien und mach dir ihre Eigenschaften zu Nutze, um deine Überlebenschancen zu erhöhen.

VERWALTE DEINE MOBILE BASIS
Der Mechaplex hilft dir beim Überleben. Errichte neue Gebäude auf ihm, erforsche neue Technologien, verbessere die Fähigkeiten deiner Crew und erkunde die Ebenen des Mondes. Entwickle neue mechanische Prototypen, die dir bei bim Abbau der Mineralien helfen oder konzentriere dich auf die Geschwindigkeit deines Konvois, um der tödlichen Sonne zu entkommen. Du darfst dich nicht zu lange an einem Ort aufhalten.

AUSSCHLAGGEBENDE ENTSCHEIDUNGEN
Du bist nicht die einzige Person, die der Katastrophe entkommen möchte. Neue Crew-Mitglieder, darunter sogar Piloten wie du selbst, können sich dir anschließen und dir wertvolle Fähigkeiten und neue Bauplattformen zur Verfügung stellen. Du musst sie jedoch ernähren und ihnen Schutz bieten. Wirst du den Glücklosen helfen oder konzentrierst du dich nur auf dich, um nicht hintergangen zu werden? Welche Art Mensch bist du?

CREW-BEZIEHUNGEN
Vergiss nicht, dass deine Entscheidungen deine Crew beeinflussen. Einige Mitglieder möchten vielleicht nicht mit Leuten eines rivalisierenden Landes zusammenarbeiten. Du könntest auch einen Aufstand riskieren, wenn du ein beliebtes Crew-Mitglied hinauswirfst.

I’m really into games with a retro vibe and some good sci-fi setting and this one caught me by surprise. Honestly something different and really stands out from most games. An awesome universe that’s dark but also super engaging. The music adds A LOT to the atmosphere (kudos to the composer!) and since you’re basically stuck in the dark most of the time it’s extra cool to play with the lights off and blinds down. The idea of mobile bases is a great concept, can’t wait to see how that develops later in the game. I also like that the story and character relationships actually matter here - the more you read, the more it pulls you in. If you’re into deeper, more atmospheric games, I definitely recommend checking it out!

If you enjoy strategy games with survival elements—where, in addition to building and managing, you also have to react to changing conditions and make decisions that have consequences—"Dark Moon" will be a great choice for you. Fans of sci-fi themes and unusual survival environments (in this case: the Moon, the Sun as the enemy) will also find something for themselves here.

The "Mechaplex" mobile base mechanic is a really good idea: we don't sit still, but constantly move, expand, and plan our next steps—this adds dynamic gameplay.

Survival and strategy elements are successfully combined—we must gather resources, manage our crew, and make difficult moral decisions (who to take on, who to help, when to risk). This adds depth and excitement.

Atmosphere: The dark, harsh conditions of the lunar landscape, the threat when the light appears—creates a truly evocative atmosphere that effectively builds tension. Jujubee Studios clearly has a distinct style.

I really like this game ;)

Mix of Frost Punk and This war of mine.

+nice random events which reminds of Frost Punk/This war of mine
+tutorial helps in getting to know the whole UI and gameplay
+seems to be complex and not as easy
-UI sometimes is pretty clunky and oldschool, especially on 4k screen

...for the first glance, I need to play more though :)

I really like the way you gain more walkers, which feels a bit like Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. It gives a satisfying sense of progression and scale.
That said, the maps feel a bit small, and I’m curious about the walkers’ movement — are they truly walking across the map, or do they lift off the ground when traveling? If they fly, I’d love to see a take-off animation, as it would add even more immersion and visual flair.

I really enjoyed the automatic collection of minerals by drones, which makes resource gathering smooth and satisfying. The decision-making system is engaging, forcing you to carefully consider every choice. On top of that, the system for moving ships between locations on the Moon adds a strategic layer that keeps you constantly thinking ahead.

The game shines with its complexity, from managing resources and your crew to making hard choices that actually matter. Every decision feels weighty, and the stakes are real. On top of that, the drones and ambient sounds create a perfectly eerie, immersive atmosphere that makes the lonely Moon feel alive… and dangerous. It’s a survival experience that’s as thoughtful as it is tense.

The concept of a moving home base, combined with crew management and resource gathering, is incredibly fun. It keeps you constantly engaged and thinking strategically.
