Für den Preis erhält man leider nicht allzu viel. Die Grafik und das Setting sind eigentlich in Ordnung, läuft soweit super. Nur vom versprochenen Spielspaß kommt absolut nichts rüber. Ziel des Spiels ist es eigentlich nur, so viele Haie mit der Harpune wie möglich zu töten, bevor man selbst von den Weißen Haien getötet wird. Als Minispiel durchaus mal für Zwischendurch geeignet, aber langfristig einfach nur langweilig.

Gründe:

Es sind nur Weiße Haie, gelegentlich kommen mal Fische oder Quallen vorbei - keine anderen Haie.
Die Harpune lädt automatisch nach, ohne Munitionsverlust oder dergleichen.
Es gibt keine anderen Aufgaben, außer eben auf die Haie zu feuern was das Zeugs hält.
Keine Upgrades, Heilpackungen oder sonstigen Gegenstände, die man suchen müsste.
Nach ein paar Minuten ist man von Haien umzingelt.
Ziel des Spiels ist es, einfach wild zu töten, bevor man selbst gekillt wird.

Mein Fazit: Das Geld kann man besser anlegen.

After 3+ hours of playtime of getting dropped in the ocean, and having to fend off waves of great whites over and over until you die, then repeat to beat the previous score. There is nothing else & given the price of $2.99, the price is just right for this Jaws-themed Jump scare simulator. 10/10 would Shoot Bruce and the boys in the face with a spear-gun again.

Though I wouldn't personally pay for this game, it was entertaining for the 22 minutes I played it. After my first run killing 16 sharks, I completed the remaining achievements on my second run getting a high score of 29. Graphics are great, but it ends there.

Final Verdict: Do NOT Buy! Not worth it.

You circle around an almost empty underwater environment with really only jellyfish, rocks, & light. Your spear gun auto-reloads. You swim in circles trying to not get hit by the same model looking sharks. The 3D model of the shark & animation looks nice. The spears sometimes look like they bounce off the shark, so it's a pretty weak animation.

The music is okay but it can get repetitive, just like the gameplay. I killed 22 sharks in a row. The last achievement is to kill 25 sharks in a row. I decided to quit and uninstall after only 15 minutes.

It's not worth $3. Not worth $1. If it was free to play then maybe.

Rate 3.5/10. It's pretty bad.

Naturally great white sharks aren't born with health bars and things are no different in game which means things really get out of hand fast. Thank all the fish in the sea someone decided to pack unlimited courage and harpoon ammo!

Graphics are pretty solid for a $3 game. But honestly this game gives you no reason to continue to play it after the initial run. There is nothing you can unlock in the game, the combat doesnt feel refreshing. It feels like RNG whenever you break one of your former kill streaks lol. Do not recommend for sure.

Killed 27 sharks in 40 minutes (the last achievement was to kill 25 sharks) so I just swam towards the horde of great whites to kill myself as my wrists were hurting really bad. I really don't understand all the negative reviews, what did you folks expect? It plays what it's advertised to be: It's a simplistic underwater survival against infinite hordes of great white. Controls are simple WASD to move and left click to shoot your harpoon. This is well worth the price of $1.18.

I recommend this for it is simple, yet so much fun. Just bang away at hoards of endless Great whites! there is no game like this that still only costs £2.30 (is) (I apologise for IDK what £2.30 is in Dollars)

It sucks. The sharks needs like 7, 8 harpoons to die. That's insane. Then it's almost impossible to predict where they will go next. And at a certain point you get swarmed by so many sharks and then game becomes so luck based. You just try to swim away from the shark horde while just spraying harpoon after harpoon in them hoping a shark won't come from behind.
Also the slowing speed of the character is so slow, while slowing up and slowing down is very inconsistent.

I can't believe you copyright striked me for that awful piano string. Game is not even fun for 5 minutes, What a joke. Make a fucking Shark attack deathmatch 3, instead of this bullshit.

The graphics are stunning. The sharks are unbelievably realistic! However the aiming with the weapon could be improved. I could only survive 3 minutes before surrounded by 7 sharks. This game is my worst nightmare. Being stuck in open waters with sharks. . .

The video is 100% accurate on what the game contains. If you are looking for a cheap thrill to kill boredom this game is perfect. If you are looking for something with substance then you are advised to look elsewhere. I found the game to be fun and gave me something to do for under $2. Your mileage may vary.

The game is the price of a coffee at Starbucks. You get what you pay for. It's just another survive wave after wave type of game but at a hella slower pace with the idea of being surrounded by great white sharks. They aren't hiding anything with what they are showing you.

With that in mind, it does it perfect. I'm not expecting anything more but what was advertised, I got. Thanks.

Admittedly, this game's small scale makes it feel more like a proof of concept than a full-fledged title, but anyone who got a chill watching sharks drift in and out of the murk in Deep Blue Sea or The Meg will get that same feeling in spades with Death in the Water. Watching sharks emerge from the depths is one thing; playing as a character who can only do so much about it results in some pretty primal fear (which, as an avid horror game fan, I'm all about). While it's true that Death in the Water isn't all that deep when it comes to variety or gameplay, it does a good job of capturing the same visceral sense of dread you might feel in an Outlast or an Amnesia.

I'd say that anyone else who's also looking for that vibe could do a lot worse for three dollars.

Well as of right now i have .03 hours playtime which in normal circumstances would not be enough to review a game, but in this case, there really is nothing to it.. You basically get dropped in the ocean, and have to fend off waves of great whites over and over until you die, then repeat to beat your score.. No extra modes, nothing. But i think the price is right for this little time waster. The graphics are beautiful, and it's fun in short bursts.. It's super cheap so i say give it a shot.. I just really hope this game eventually has more modes or features.. For now i am going to recommend it simply because of the price and the fact there are very few games featuring great whites done so well..

I didn't enjoy this game that much, because it didn't have much depth. The graphics are great; as well as the music. But the atmosphere felt boring which was only water and a few rocks. The sharks appear and disappear with out warning. This game I could see have more potential but not at its current state.

Hey guys ... I give this game a UP for the simple reason of the price .. u can have tons of fun with this trying to beat ur friends to kill the most sharks .. yea it might be the most simplistic game ever but its 2-3$ .. whats ur losing :)

the ocean and the sound is legit, the sharks looks real and u can have some jump scares sometimes when they grabs you without you expecting it !

All in all this game is exactly what it looks like. Its a big empty ocean with tons of sharks. Throw in you and a spear gun and just shoot over and over again. The game doesn't look bad but it's missing so much. Shows some potential but let's get some survival aspects in here. Health packs, safe places, a variety of weapons and maybe some variety in enemies as well and it could be something. All in all for under $3 bucks I didn't feel super ripped off but still not recommended. Save your 3 bucks and go buy a McDouble or something...
