Ich schreibe normalerweise eher ungern Rezensionen, da Gedanken und Meinungen so gut wie immer bei Mitmenschen sauer aufstoßen...trotzdem wäre es dieses Mal eine absolute Beleidigung dieses einzigartigen und in jeglicher Weise nahezu perfekten Spieles und eines transparenten! Entwicklerteams, für das Ideen, Wünsche und Meinungen jedes einzelnen Spielers weit vor dem, fast immer führenden, Knackpunkt der heutigen Spieleindustrie stehen...dem Geld!

Der Grafikstil
Eine gelungene Implementierung von DX12 (die bei vielen anderen Spielen eher eine Verschlimmbesserung darstellt)
Modsupport mit Aussicht auf offizielles Übernehmen einer Spieleridee
Die zahlreichen Arten des Lootens von Materialien, Skins, Verbesserungen, Emotes und ganzen Anpassungsteilen
Fantasievolle sowie reale Waffenarten
Charakterdesigns mit essentiellen (oft auch rundenentscheidenden) Fähigkeiten
Eine immer größer werdende Fülle an Levelarten und Gegnern
Ein komplett kostenloser Performance / Battlepass (bei dem man nicht zum Spielen gezwungen wird, da man alle Belohnungen auch nach dem Ende einer Season noch erhalten kann!)
BIER! Hust...Ich meine Bier mit einer rundenanhaltenden Fähigkeit oder lustigem Effekt
Levelevents

und überall eine Prise von Humor und Eastereggs bilden nur einen Teil dieser angenehmen und packenden Grundlage das Spiel zu Erlernen und zu Meistern.
Zusammen mit Freunden, kooperativen Mitspielern oder auch alleine wird jede Runde ein eigenes, nicht auf die gleiche Art und Weise wiederholbares, immersives Erlebnis.

Ein psychologischer Geniestreich ist hier auch die Mechanik des Salutierens mit der Spitzhacke, die ein unvergleichbares Gemeinschaftsgefühl vor, in und nach einer Runde auslösen kann. Man kennt sich vielleicht erst seit ein paar Minuten und dennoch fühlt es sich an wie viele Stunden. (abgesehen davon, dass die Stunden in einem langwährendem guten Team sehr schnell verstreichen können).

Das sind für mich ein paar der entscheidenden Merkmale dieses, meiner Meinung nach, mit einem Preis zu krönenden Goldstandard-Spiels.

Wer dieses Spiel noch nie gespielt hat verpasst etwas...PUNKT

Ich freue mich jedenfalls auf viele weitere Stunden unter Tage...und vielleicht konnte ich ein paar Leser dieser Zeilen den Weg in dieses schöne Spiel weisen.

Ein fantastisches Spiel welches deutlich mehr Anerkennung benötigt.
Das Missionsdesign ist ein permanentes Multitasking mit einem fantastischen Waffendesign. Alle Klassen spielen sich unterschiedlich und haben einen speziellen Stil mit dem man an das Spiel herangeht.

Die Level haben unterschiedlichste Biome welche auch die Struktur bestimmen, in den Level existieren auch diverse Events welche immer wieder eine Herausforderung darstellen.

Das einzige Manko was im Moment noch existiert ist die geringe Anzahl an Gegnertypen aber auch hier wird daran gearbeitet das in Season 1 zu ändern. Sowieso sind die Entwickler:innen permanent dran das Spiel zu verbessern.

Wer also ein mega motivierendes Spiel mit seinen Freunden spielen möchte ist hier richtig.

Eigentlich bin ich ja nicht so ein Fan von Zwergen, aber dieses Game hat mich trotzdem zu einem gemacht, und es fühlt sich gut an.
Das Game macht wahnsinnig Spaß und kann auch über lange Zeit unterhalten, daher von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Deep Rock Galactic ist ein grandioser Loot-Shooter.
Dieses Spiel sollte man gemeinsam mit Freunde kaufen. Es ist zwar möglich allein oder mit Fremden zu spielen, aber wirklich koordiniert und spaßig ist es nur in der Gruppe mit Freunde.

Es gibt insgesamt vier verschiedene Zwerge mit spezifischer Ausrüstung. Das führt dann dazu, dass jeder Spieler eine bestimmte Rolle einnimmt, und sozusagen wird Teamwork gefördert. Man sollte unbedingt einen hohen Schwierigkeitsgrad wählen. Dadurch stirbt man zwar häufig, aber als Resultat arbeitet das Team ambitionierter zusammen und generell ist es spannender.

Innerhalb der Missionen werden Ressourcen gesammelt und mit diesen Ressourcen können Upgrades freigeschaltet werden. Als Resultat steigt die Feuerkraft der eigenen Spielfigur.

Mittlerweile sind viele PVP Spiele nicht mehr spaßig, da den meisten Spielern jeder erdenkliche und toxische Trick recht ist, um zu gewinnen. Folglich ruinieren sich Spieler häufig gegenseitig das Spielerlebnis.
Und das ist das Schöne an Deep Rock Galactic. Es ist nämlich PVE und man kämpft zusammen mit seinen Freunden gegen computergesteuerte und faire Gegner. Niemand versucht aktiv dein Spielspaß zu ruinieren.

Die Grafik ist solide und die Polygon-Welten sind hübsch. Darüber hinaus hat das Spiel eine sehr geringe Speichergröße. Heute ist es bei vielen Multiplayer-Spielen Trend, dass man jede Woche eine riesige Datenmenge aktualisieren muss. Aber hier kann man dank der kleinen Speichergröße sicher sein, dass es nie zu Wartezeiten kommt und man immer direkt loslegen kann.

Fazit:
Es macht zusammen mit Freunde sehr viel Spaß und man benötigt auf hohem Schwierigkeitsgrad viel Teamwork.

Deep Rock Galatic ist ein kooperativer Multiplayer Shooter, der mit zufallsgenerierten Höhlen Abenteurer zum Erkunden einladen soll. Neben verschiedenem Erzen können auch Bestandteile der lokalen Faune innerhalb eines Asterioden abgebaut werden. Obwohl das begehbare Gebiet vorgegeben ist, lassen sich alle Wände durchbohren, die Umgebung nahezu komplett zerstören. Als Abenteurer dienen hier die Zwerge einer fiktiven intergalaktischen Berbauorganisation, die sich in 4 verschiedene Klassen mit individuellen Fähigkeiten aufteilen. Durch abgeschlossene Missionen gewinnt man Erfahrung und dadurch kann die bestehende Ausrüstung verbessert oder neue optische Anpassungen frei geschaltet werden. Natürlich geben dabei höhere Schwierigkeitsgrade bessere Belohnungen. Als Gegner lauern in den einigermaßen abwechslungsreichen Bergungsmissionen Käferwesen, die zwar einzeln kein Problem darstellen, dafür aber gerne in Schwärmen angreifen. Unter ihnen sind auch immer wieder besondere Spezialgegner. Missionen dauern in den meisten Fällen 30-60 Minuten, wenn man sich halbwegs koordiniert voran bewegt.

Die Vertonung ist englisch gehalten, trägt aber zum Flair bei. Wirklich wichtiges sagen die namenlosen Zwergencharaktere ohnehin nicht. Eine richtige Story sucht man vergebens. Das Spiel lebt vom Aspekt durch immer schwerere Missionen immer epischere Ausrüstung zu erhalten. Die Grafik ist eher zweckdienlich gehalten, reicht aber für das Setting. Ein Hauch von Minecraft haftet dem Spiel an, legt hier aber die Action klar in den Fokus.

Vielleicht trifft es nicht jedermanns Geschmack, aber für Spieler, die mit ihren Freunden ein Koop Abenteuer suchen, kann es durchaus einen Blick wert sein.

Herausragende Zwerg-Action! Schneller Einstieg, plastische und farbenfrohe Grafik, unkompliziertes Gameplay. Erstaunlich simpel zu erlernen, top ausbalancierte Lernkurve. Sehr geschmeidige, ineinander greifende Rollenverteilung der Zwerge mit Späher, Supporter, Kämpfer und Arbeitspferd, jeder der Zwerge bereichert das Gameplay auf seine eigene, einzigartige Weise, zusammen mit den prozeduralen Höhlen ist jede Partie aufs neue Abwechslungsreich und dynamisch, sehr geile Höhlendesigns. Die Zwerge haben ihren typischen, unzweideutigen Style und Humor, von der Optik über die Sprachausgabe bis hin zu ihrem Verhalten, Gimli lässt grüßen. Eine Mine! Auch die verschiedenen Missionstypen bieten immer wieder Abwechslung, es gibt einfache Mining Quests, aber auch diverse Formen von Horde Mode, Eskorte, Rohr verlegen (immer empfehlenswert...) etc., zufällige Events wie extra starke Gegner oder besonders viele Golddepots würfeln immer wieder neue Herausforderungen und Motivation ins Game. Nach momentan ~24 Stunden Spielzeit habe ich noch lange nicht alle Inhalte freigeschaltet, doch schon jetzt bietet das Game viel Content. Für mich das eindeutig beste Teamplay Game seit langer Zeit, wobei es auch Solo traumhaft ist. Shooterfolks, Grindaholiker und Teamplayer werden hier jedenfalls besten Fun haben. Eine Offenbarung. Kaufen.

Einfach nur ein wildes Spiel!

Macht sehr viel Laune mit seinen besten Mates in den Minen nach Schätzen zu buddeln.
Zudem befriedigt es meinen inneren Monk jede Erzquelle abzuschürfen.

Eine große Auswahl an Biomen und Missionstypen sorgt dafür, dass es nicht schnell langweilig wird.

Die Entwickler haben es einfach drauf!

Als kleine Anmerkung gibt es zurzeit NUR kosmetische DLC's, was ich äußerst fair finde. So kann jeder, der es will die Entwickler zusätzlich unterstützen. Alle anderen bekommen sämtliche Inhalte kostenlos, als Updates!

Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, da das Spiel ziemlich umfangreiche Missionen hat und man zwischen verschiedenen Charakteren, Waffen und Perks rum switchen kann um so das beste Spielerlebniss zu bekommen.
Es hat auch eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit zu Minecraft, mit den vers, Monstern und Erzen.
Auf jeden Fall empfehle ich dieses Spiel jedem, der gerne mit anderen Spielt und gern gegen Monsterschwärme kämpft.

Abbauen, Schießen, Explosionen und Zwerge. Das ist es was einen hier erwartet. Es ist ein gutes Koop Spiel aber auch genau so gut Solo spielbar aber was macht mehr Spaß als mit freunden Aliens in die Luft zu Jagen. Durch die abwechlungsreichen Level wird es auch nicht Langweilig jede Map ist anders Aufgebaut also könnte die Nächste Mission ziemlich in die Hose gehen.

Daumen Hoch für dieses Juwel an Alien Massenvernichtung

Very nice game!

After playing some rounds:

The game's major issues are monsters clipping through everything and sudden deaths and things that hit you out of nowhere.

Despite that the game makes a lot of fun and there are some really enjoyable missions which have that unknown adventure feeling which is really great.

But the technical issues should be addressed asap and 5-6 player option would be awesome.

Its pretty damn good, its got a lot of replayability and very diverse builds despite having a rather low amount of weapons.
A lot of fun little details everywhere, good terrain generation and a nice and consistent artstyle.

Ich kann Deep Rock Galactic nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Das Spiel Bietet 4 Klassen, jede davon hat ihre Daseinsberechtigung.
Durch die Verschiedenen Biome und zufällige Level Architektur gleicht kein Spieldurchgang dem nächsten.
Es gibt Wahnsinnig viele Sachen zum Freischalten was ungemein Motiviert.
Die Entwicker haben verstanden was games as a Service bedeutet demnächst steht Update 33 an und kein Ende in Sicht, Die Positiven Steam Reviews sagen ja eigentlich auch alles aus.
Der Schwierigkeitsgrad lässt sich in 5 Stufen anpassen so das man das Spiel auch entspannt allein Spiele kann, in dem Fall werdet ihr auch von einer kleinen Drohne Unterstützt, ansonsten ich die Community super Freundlich und hilft auch weiter wenn man mal nicht weiter weiß, ansonsten hoffe ich das viele weitere Zwerge sich uns anschließen so ein Spiel muss einfach Gewürdigt werden, Die Entwickler haben es verdient.

Wasn geiles Spiel. Geht auch alleine, rockt im Koop. Seit 300+ Stunden zocke ich das Ding mit den Jungs und es wird nicht fad. Ok, ein bissl fad wird's doch, aber geht schon. Sattes Geballer, buddeln, einander schön ergänzende Klassen, und ein stylishes Zwergensetting mit jeder Menge schöner Momente. Gemeinsam Bier trinken und tanzen in der Raumstation, die Schneeballschlacht zur Weihnachtszeit, und Mission Control zum Alkoholismus getrieben.

Und wenn man mal mit RandomBobs ausm Internet zusammenspielt, eine überraschend freundliche, hilfreiche und nicht-toxische Playerbase.

Leider war ich lange skeptisch ob ich mir das Spiel holen soll und bereue jetzt sehr, nicht schon vor Jahren im Early Access, Zeit auf Hoxxes IV verbracht zu haben. Das Gameplay, die Athmosphäre, die witzigen Details, der Grind, einfach genial!! Ich liebe es!

Schade dass der Grossteil meiner Freunde von Spiel zu Spiel springt, anstatt ein bestimmtes mal etwas länger zu suchten. Grind-lastige Spiele sind auch einfach nicht für jedermann...
So kommt es, dass ich zum Grossteil mit Randoms zusammen auf Mission gehe und hatte nach vielen Abenteuern noch kein einziges negatives Erlebnis. Die Community ist einfach klasse, dass man auf der Raumstation zusammen diverse Ale's kippen kann, trägt sicher auch dazu bei... :)
Schade dass es keine In-Game Freundesliste gibt, sonst wäre die sicher schon sehr, sehr lang.

Gute Spielidee mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Langzeitspaß garantiert vor allem, wenn man es zusammen mit Freunden spielen kann. Es gibt viele nette Details und einiges was man zunächst freispielen muss.
Mit der Möglichkeit sein Aussehen anzupassen, sind Überraschungen vorprogrammiert :)
Kann das Game nur empfehlen!

Zwerge, die sich ihr täglich Geld damit verdienen in düsteren Asteroiden-Höhlen im Weltall nach Schätzen zu schürfen, Horden feindlicher Alien-Käfer abzuschießen und nach Feierabend zu russischer Volksmusik und mit einem Bierkrug in der Hand das Tanzbein zu schwingen?

Wenn sich das spaßig anhört, seid ihr bei Deep Rock Galactic genau richtig.

Das Gameplay

In einem Team von bis zu vier Spielern wird man an Bord einer Rakete mit Bohrkopf in die tieferen Schichten eines gigantischen Asteroiden geschossen um verschiedenste Missionen zu erfüllen. Das kann vom einfachen Abbau von wertvollen Mineralien bis zum Sichern der Ausrüstung einer vorhergegangenen, fehlgeschlagenen Expedition sein. Mit dem letzten Update wurden noch zwei höchst willkommene Missionstypen eingefügt, die das bestehende Gerüst sinnvoll erweitern - und aus Andeutungen der Entwickler ist zu vermuten, dass es noch weitere geben wird in der Zukunft.

Und das ist auch sehr gut so, denn das Missionsdesign ist in meinen Augen der schwächste Punkt des Spiels.

Die Klassen

Die vier möglichen, spielbaren Zwerge teilen sich in vier Klassen auf, wobei innerhlab jeder Klasse viele Upgrades möglich sind und neue Waffen freigeschaltet werden können.

IngenieurDiese Klasse erlaubt es frei wählbar Platformen in der Spielwelt zu platzieren, die es ermöglichen ungünstig platzierte Mineralien zu erreichen oder neue Wege zur Erkundung zu eröffnen. Weiter hat er die Möglichkeit einen oder mehrere Geschütztürme vor Ort zu platzieren um eine Stellung zu sichern.

Auch wenn es vom Spiel her nicht zwingend erforderlich ist, dass jede Klasse genau einmal besetzt ist, so ist es doch für die Dynamik des Teams stark zu empfehlen, um in jeder Situation die volle Kontrolle zu haben.
Esi st übrigens auch klasse, dass man nach Verbindungsverlust mit einer Lobby angeboten bekommt, einen erneuten Verbindungsversuch zu starten - Karl fände das sicher auch toll!

Die Spielwelt

Eines der zentralen Features von Deep Rock Galactic ist die zufällige Generation von Höhlen mit verschiedenen Biomen wie etwa Eis, Kristall oder Fungal(?). Und dieses System funktioniert wirklich beindruckend gut. Fast jede Höhle ist ein wahrer Augenschmauß und bringt eigene Gefahren und Eigenheiten mit sich. So gibt es beispielsweise Höhlen mit regelmäßigen Sandstürmen oder solche, in denen es gefährliche vulkanische Aktivität gibt. Egal in welcher Konfiguration, das Level kann komplett zerstört werden, durch Spitzhacken der Zwerge als auch Explosionen.

Neben den Gefahren der Umwelt gibt es dann aber natürlich auch noch Spinnen- bzw. ameisenähnliche Aliens, die die Zwerge verspeisen möchten und immer in Horden angreifen, insbesondere wenn man versucht ihre Eier zu stehlen. Dabei gibt es eine solide Anzahl an verschiedenen Versionen, die einem tüchtigen Zwerg ordentlich den Tag vermiesen können.

Noch was negativ anzumerken ... ?

Leider gibt es in der Tat einen Aspekt, der mir seit dem letzten größeren Update ein klein wenig Kopfschmerzen bereitet. Insbesondere, wenn während eines hektischen Gefechts die Fetzen nur so fliegen und alle Arten von Partikeleffekten aktiv sind, kommt es bei mir leider öfter mal zu Einbrüchen der Bildrate - und besonders mitten im Gefecht ist das höchst unerwünscht und gefährlich. Nun ja, da muss ich in aller Fairness auch dazu sagen, dass von meinen Freunden keiner solche Probleme hat - ich kann also auch nur Pech haben mit meiner Hardware.

Fazit

Deep Rock Galactic ist ein fantastischer Coop Shooter für 4 Personen, der adrenalinlastige Gefechte mit fiesen Alien mit dem Erkunden von visuell vielfältigen und verschlungenen Höhlen verbindet. Hier stimmt das Gesamtrezept einfach richtig gut und macht richtig Lust auf noch mehr Abenteuer mit betrunkenen Zwergen (und Steve! Vergesst Steve nicht!).

Laut Roadmap der Entwickler kommt auch noch eine ganze Menge auf uns zu. Tolles Spiel und meine wärmste Empfehlung!

Meiner Meinung nach bestes Early-Access-Game auf dem Markt derzeit!

Nahezu bugfrei und super cooles Gameplay. :D Ich denke meine Spielstunden sagen bereits alles. ^^ Sowohl mit Freunden, randoms als auch alleine (mit dem Helfer Bosco ^^) macht es riesig Spaß. Für den vergleichsweise günstigen Preis bietet das Spiel mehr als so mancher AAA-Titel. Auf was wartet ihr noch!!! Kauft es euch!!! Rock and Stone!!!

Badass dwarves. Big guns. Great teamplay mechanics. No season pass or microtransactions, only cosmetic DLC. And I swear on the bible, unlocking everything won't take too long, i am close to that.

Nach 35 Stunden Spielzeit kann ich sagen... Top Spiel!
Hier trifft Minecraft auf No Man's Sky. Ein richtig schönes Coop-Spiel für 1-4 Spieler in einem unverbrauchten Genre.
Zwerge fliegen mit einer Bohrkapsel von ihrer Raumstation (Sozial-Hub für Party/4 Spieler) in einen Planeten um dort wertvolle Ressourcen zu sammeln und den vorher ausgewählten Auftrag mit variabler Schwierigkeit/Belohnung auszuführen. Die Aufträge bieten einiges an Abwechslung. Durch die prozedurale Berechnung spielt man immer in anderen Höhlen.
Da dies bestenfalls mit 4 Spielern gespielt wird, ist jeder Zwerg spezialisiert. Es gibt einen Späher, Schütze, Bohrer und Ingenieur. Diese Rollen kann man hochleveln, von gesammelten Ressourcen hat man die Wahl ob man seine Ausrüstung verbessern möchte oder lieber in neue Äußerlichkeiten investiert.
Auch wenn das Spiel ein Coop-Spiel ist, so kann man auch allein losziehen. Hier bekommt man dann Bosco, einen Roboter, an die Seite gestellt. Dieser hilft beim Abbau von Ressourcen und unterstützt bei ankommenden Gegnerwellen. Wie bei Waffen und Rüstungen, kann man auch Bosco individuell mit verschiedenen Vorteilen ausrüsten.
Im Social-Hub gibt es eine Bar bei der man sich mit Bier zuschütten kann, das Bier dient der Buff-Verteilung oder dem Spaß und kann vor jeder Runde verteilt werden. Die Musikbox bringt die Stimmung in die richtige Richtung. In seinem Quartier hat man die Möglichkeit seine Rolle zu wählen und Perks zu verwalten.

An Individualität mangelt es bei diesem Spiel keinesfalls.
Am Anfang ist alles ein bisschen viel und komplex, jedoch keinesfalls abschreckend. Das Tutorial erklärt einiges, aber nicht alles, viel kommt im späteren Spielverlauf zum tragen.

Wem Coop und die Mischung von Minecraft und No Man's Sky nicht abschreckt, ist hier genau richtig und wird viele viele Stunden Spielspaß finden.

Deep Rock Galactic ist mein Coop-Hit im Jahr 2020.

Ein wirklich toller Koop PvE Shooter. Tolles Konzept und wirklich gut ausgearbeitet. Der Entwickler bringen regelmäßig neue Updates raus. Spiele es nun seit geraumer Zeit aber es wird nie langweilig. Absolut weiter zu empfehlen!

Geile Grafik, geiler Sound, geile Klassen, geiles Gameplay. Man kann online mit seinen Freunden ein paar Bier zischen, also perfekt in Zeiten von social distancing. Ist das erste Spiel, welches es schafft mich zu einem schriftlichen Review zu bewegen.

Bisher kann ich nur positiv über DeepRock sprechen das Gameplay ist Hammermäßig die Rollenverteilung gut durchdacht und somit ein richtig gutes Teamgame ist.
Noch positiv ist das man auch alleine auf niederer schwierigkeit weiterkommen kann.
Hab jetz noch bei weitem nicht alles gesehen da ich seit 2 Tagen Spiele doch für das schon genug gesehen kann DeepRock jedem empfehlen der auf Mining in Shooter combo steht und Bier mag. :D

Und jetzt Skoll runter damit und weiter gehts mit dem Grind. :D

Erst vor kurzem angefangen und ich komm nicht mehr los UwU Ob allein oder im Duo/Squad... es macht halt einfach spaß ! Auch mit Randoms hatte ich bis jetzt keinerlei probleme gehabt :3
Inhalts technisch würde ich sagen das es genügend abwechslung gibt, aber ich bin offen für noch mehr modi oder gar ein neuen Planeten? :D
Kann ichs empfehlen? JA & am besten mit freunden, besonders die mit den man gemeinsam doof sein kann ;D

Die beste PVE Erfahrung die ich je hatte. Nette Communitiy, Gameplay loop suchtet, gebalancete Waffen und viele Buildmöglichkeiten durch perk und Skilltreesystem motivieren immer wieder in die Höhlen zu steigen. Gegen Ende hin etwas Grindlastig, da die finalen Waffenverbesserungen (Overclocks) RNG mäßig und nicht mal klassenspezifisch verteilt werden. Alles in allem aber sowas von die 29€ Wert, grade mit Freunden macht es extrem viel Spaß.

Ich kann dieses Spiel nur empfehlen. Macht echt süchtig & ich hoffe, dass die Entwickler immer mehr Content nachliefern. Love it <3

Update nach ca 70 h Spielzeit:

Alle Charaktere einmal auf Maxstufe aufgelevelt und auf Prestige 1 gebracht. Leider fehlt mir nun die lust weiter zu spielen, da man kaum noch was freischaltet und ziemlich zäh wird.

Ich denke, ich werde es nur noch gelegentlich weiterspielen.

Considering my playtime it's ovious i like this game a lot. In fact, i never enjoyed a game more than Deep Rock Galactic. If you like FPS's including killing tons of aliens with coop as key to a fun and succesfull game (nearly) without flaming and toxic players, DRG is for you.

So was soll ich groß sagen, bin nie ein großer Zwergen freund gewesen und solche Shooter waren auch nie mein Ding. Aber das Spiel hat mich überzeugt mit lauter Kleinigkeiten die einen nicht weiter bringen aber Fun machen.

Sei es saufen an der Theke und manche Alk haben in sich, oder auf die Tanzfläche zu gehen und zu passende Musik sein bestes zu geben . Oder wie ich der nicht widerstehen kann ein roten Knopf zu drücken und mal die Schwerkraft abschalte :-)

Zudem gibt es genug Sachen um sein Zwerg besonders aussehen zu lassen. Ich wusste nie wie viele verschiedene Bärte es gibt.

Aber auch die Spielelemente machen riesigen Spaß jede Klasse hat seine Berechtigung da zu sein und auf schwereren Stufen sollte man auch nur in gemischten Gruppen gehen. Da jede seine Fortbewegungsmittel haben wie eine Seilkanone oder eine Plattformwerfer bis hin schneller ganzkörper- Bohrer :-)

Man kann Waffen und Werkzeuge aufwerten und in gewissen maßen auf sich anpassen. Wie beim Gunner die Seil Kanone ob man auf Reichweite geht oder Schnelligkeit. All die Kleinigkeiten führen wieder zu neue Taktiken.

Das Skillsystem läuft über Perks ab , wo man Art Erfolge abschließen muss für Punkte und dann kann man nur eine gewisse Anzahl ausrüsten. Wie ob du ein Gegner zähmen willst oder einmal in eine Runde jemanden instand wiederzubeleben.

Die Community ist überwiegend sehr freundlich und hatte selten jemand der das Typische „Du low ich kick dich“ verfahren hatte. Da meist höhere als auch niedrige im Level zusammen spielen.

Die Karten sind immer Zufall nur die Biome sind meist fest, sei es eine Kristallhöhle oder Sand. Jede hat seine eigene tücken und gefahren .

Dazu kommt dann auch noch das es jede Phase bestimmte Karten dann Zufalls Eigenschaften haben. Wie ein Geisterboss der unsterblich ist und er immer einen folgt, oder die Schwerkraft ist low was wiederum positiv ist für einen.

Dann die üblichen Bonusinhalte wie extra Rohstoffe oder XP . Einfach genug Auswahl.

Da es um ein Minengesellschaft geht, ist es klar das überwiegend um abbaue geht. Aber jede Mission hat ein Bonusinhalt . Aber hier gibt es dann auch genug Sachen wie Bau X Anzahl Erz ab oder Berge Abbauroboter´s oder töte Supergegner.

Das ganze mit bestimmten Kombos von oben kann es schnell echt tödlich werden und das ist eben das besondere.

Im ganzen hat mich das Spiel für diesen Preis überzeugt und bereue es nicht und spiel es immer wieder mal wenn ich weniger Zeit habe oder wenn die passende Freunde da sind.

with this game you can get some relaxing mining but also some really hard survival gameplay. The DEVs are an example to the industry by listening to the playerbase and how they run their game. if solo or in a group it makes fun and with every update it gets better.

Eines der besten Koop Spiele!
Mit viel Liebe zum Detail verdient Deep Rock Galactic sich eine ganz eigene Trophäe im Koop Shooter Regal.
Man merkt das es für die Entwickler mehr ist als nur ein Spiel.
Auch Aufrufe der Community kommen hier nicht zu kurz!
Wer sich schon immer gewünscht hat das Minecraft etwas actiongeladener hätte sein können,
der liegt mit DRG genau richtig.

-Horden von Gegnern
-Zufällig generierte Höhlen und Events
-Verschiedene Waffen und Rüstungen
-Verschiedene Spielmodi
....und es ist immernoch im Early Access

Bester Saufsimulator auf Steam. Braue verschiedenste Biersorten und stürze dich betrunken in deine Ballermissionen. Es gibt unterschiedliche Betrunkenheitsstufen von leicht angeheitert bis zur Bewusstlosigkeit. Es gibt Biersorten die können Positive Effekte für deine Missionen geben oder naja du siehst dein Gewehr jetzt doppelt dann Glückwunsch du bist jetzt eine Gefahr für deine Teamkameraden.

Tatsächlich DAS beste Koop-Game da draußen. Der Markt an reinen Koop-Spielen ist zwar überschaubar aber DRG hat sich den ersten Platz hart erkämpft. So viel Support und Content-Updates sind einfach nicht fair den anderen Entwicklern gegenüber :-)

Wer Koop Spiele mag wird Deep Rock Galactic lieben! Mein absolutes Lieblingsspiel mit hohem Suchtfaktor! Einzigartige Zwerge und die vielseitigen Welten machen das Spiel zu einem echten Feuerwerk gegen Monsterhorden. Es wurde richtig Arbeit und viel Liebe zum Detail reingesteckt.

Zerstörbare Welten, verschiedene Missionen, ein großes Waffenarsenal, dichte Bärte und gutes Bier bringen den absoluten Funfaktor und ist auch nach über 110 Std. Spielzeit nicht langweilig.

Liebevoll entwickeltes Spiel und eine 100% Empfehlung!

Those who like co-op games will love Deep Rock Galactic! My absolute favorite game with a high addiction factor! Unique dwarfs and the diverse worlds make the game to a real fire work against monsters. It was worked properly and put a lot of attention to detail.

I met a Spanish guy spent probably 5 hours with him and my 2 friends we invited him to our discord call and we couldn't communicate a single work but we did several missions and making pop culture references and would just repeat random sounds and references , great experience it did activate my man neurons 10/10 would recommend

Deep Rock has not only charming low poly graphics and intense swarms of hordes to decimate but also an epic soundtrack that makes gameplay feel epic at the peak of swarming attacks. Absolute chef's kiss!

The game gives you 4 class options engineer, gunner scout, and driller. Loads of cosmetics that can be unlocked or bought and even customize your beard, who could've dreamt that? Customizations to your weapons and the hard to find pickaxe upgrades. The game has a lot of varying biome types that you can choose from a varied selection of mission types and even status effects to an entire map, like double XP or exploding swarms.

The game is procedurally generated and sometimes this can make completing a mission hard occasionally if something is out of reach. Nitra, a resource you mine to call for ammo refills, can sometimes be lacking adding to the intensity or frustration to the mission.

I've played 20 or 30 hours solo, so while it is a coop game the developers have balanced it by including Bosco which is a drone that will help shoot and mine resources for you to pick up. The variety of game modes has certainly kept the game from feeling stale and extend from resource collection to drone rescue missions.

Playing online coop with strangers is a gamble and you can get teamed with people who aren't really trying to play the game or hide when the swarms show up. I have 100 hours of making this review and I feel like I'm still discovering new things.

Deep Rock Galactic is interesting in that on paper it sounds kind of boring despite being really fun to play. Fact is that it’s a smartly designed co-op shooter with great class design, pacing, and difficulty scaling featuring just enough variety to keep players engaged. You’ll have an enjoyable time digging holes, gather resources, and shooting alien bugs regardless of your group size and, to my mind, that makes the game one of the best cooperative experiences of recent memory. Deep Rock Galactic is well worth a look, doubly so if you have a group of friends you regularly play games with.

I was gifted this game sometime close to its full release and enjoyed it, before depression and computer issues made me fall out of it. Now that I'm over those hurdles and have people to play with, I enjoy it even more.

Deep Rock Galactic is a really fun, co-operative First Person Shooter on its own. Every class has its own neat abilities and perks, the procedural generation throws up plenty of variety (and sometimes just has fun punching you into ground), and the dwarves and their quotes never get old.

But the game really shines when playing with others. I've had such immense fun working with friends to accomplish objectives, find goodies and shoot up a whole ton of bugs. Playing with friends also really overcomes the games one big flaw, which is that solo play can get very repetitive and often feel like a grind, and so I find myself playing solo much less often nowadays (though it is still fun in short session, don't get me wrong).

Fine tune your loadout, stick on the silliest cosmetics you can find (no microtransactions here, respect), grab up to three buddies, and remember: IF YOU DON'T ROCK AND STONE, YOU'RE DYING ALONE!

I'm addict to this game.
Every mission its like a new discovery because the maps are random, so it felt like new each time you go down on that asteroide. Each class have there own advantage, I like all of them.

Can't wait for new contents or DLC.
maybe more weapons or upgrades or new area.

I think something would be great will be a weapon test area in the station so we can test our new weapons or upgrade without having to go in a mission !

The music is excellent as well !

Deep Rock Galactic is my favorite shooter at the moment.

DRG is a first-person-shooter with heavy influence from the cave-exploration of Minecraft, horde-based combat of Left 4 Dead, and the class dynamics from Team Fortress 2. The game is all about going into a cave and completing one of the various primary objectives while fending off waves of four-legged enemies. Upon completing any mission, you're rewarded with gold, experience, and crafting materials used to upgrade your respective class. If any of that sounds interesting to you, I would highly recommend picking this up. The developers are always working on new updates and are really active in their community, so I have high hopes for DRG's future.

Now why do I love this game so much? A major reason is build diversity. Each playable character has a choice between 2 primary guns, 2 secondaries, and 3 grenades to choose from. What might sound like a fairly limiting choice of weapons at first eventually opens to a pool of dozens of more guns with the introduction of overclocks. The basic grenade launcher can be transformed into the Fatboy from Fallout or into an anti material rifle that's practically hitscan. The Scout's SMGs can shoot standard bullets without any overclocks, but with them you can make it shoot explosives you detonate or mines that freeze enemies that step on them. Your revolver can become a discount sniper rifle or a toxic explosive weapon. There's dozens more ways to modify your gun and almost all of them are viable. As of this moment, the next update is adding 4 new primary guns and I'm really excited for that. And I hope they add even more, as the guns are a major selling point for me.

The class dynamics of DRG never lose their charm and purpose regardless of what your weapon is. While your firearm options are nearly infinite, your support and movement tools are nearly the same for every character. While the engineer's turrets are highly modifiable, it'll always be a turret. The Driller's C4 can be built to mine minerals or for purely combat purposes, but it will always be an explosive at the end of the day. Something I really appreciate about DRG is that the dwarfs are balanced around their mobility rather than their specifically defined combat roles. You don't want a Driller just for his great crowd control. You want him for his ability to create bunkers, shortcuts, and the ability to carve the area into your preference. Engineers can use their platform gun to create bridges or makeshift cover. This type of balancing allows for all classes to fill a role in any team, but it doesn't feel like a requirement to have one class in particular.

My complaints for DRG are few and far between, but they are there nonetheless. I don't like how the game heavily encourages focusing on one class due to overclocks being unlocked once you promote any dwarf. The early phases of DRG should encourage experimentation especially since the low level classes are basic and fairly linear with their dwarfs. Also, while primary objectives are extremely varied in your goals, your secondary objectives all boil down to grabbing a certain item. The hub world is fairly empty as well. The only real thing to do is the barrel minigame, screw around with the jukebox, and upgrade yourself in various ways. The spacerig would greatly benefit from more additions, especially a shooting range to test out your loadouts.

As a wrap up, I really like DRG and I think Ghost Ship Games deserves all the support and praise they've gotten from it.

A few weeks ago, I started playing Wahrhammer: Vermintide 2 and boy, does it leave little room for other games. Still, now that I understand Co-op games in the contemporary age (much more accessible than I thought), I wanted more. Deep Rock Galactic came up as the best alternative (there aren’t a lot of alternatives). I was hesitant though since DRG seemed very colourful and more like a game for people who play Minecraft. That first impression was very wrong.

++ not unlike Vermintide 2, the humour in this game is quite dark. The dwarves are slaving away with shi*ty equipment for a capitalist corporation (Deep Rock Galactic) and besides digging and shooting they only know how to drink beer and to occasionally dance to some jukebox tunes. But sooner than later a voice from the PA system will urge them to go to work again. I don’t suppose they ever see the daylight. All they know is caves and space. Thus, the dwarves are gloomy little capitalists who are constantly offending poor Molly which is the robot that carries their minerals. There is also a bit of gore and a lot of blood involved.

++ when the mobs are coming in after you explored the caves a bit, and you are in a hurry to install your auto-turrets, and without a single pause the spiders are just coming at you, this game actually feels like Starship Troopers!

++ at times it feels like a very tactical, intelligent version of Doom. Meaning, you have a double barreled shotgun which hits HARD but it won’t do sh*t if you don’t go for the enemies’ weak points.

++ unique classes that get even deeper as soon as you understand the mechanics better and how the classes can and must interact with each other

++ very good vertical gameplay

++ single player is actually viable because you get a robot that can replace some of the other classes’ abilities (like reaching minerals high up in the cave)

-- very grindy. You have to play like 8 hours to unlock an alternative primary weapon for your class. I suspect that this is because there is a

-- general lack of weapons and class abilities (Vermintide 2 is much better in giving you something new after every mission and be it just a harder hitting sword) (however, some more weapons will come in Q3 2021 to DRG)

++ the weapons make a lot of sense game- and classwise and

++ have absolutely bada*s internal mods

++ unique enemies (not only exploding, fumous or armored spiders you can only kill with your pickaxe but also some crazy stuff like giant goose barnacles)

++ unique biomes (from desert caves to jungle caves or even some sort of ocean cave without water?)

++ really, really good graphics. Especially the fog, the lighting and the particle effects are blowing my mind.

++ atmosphere and hence immersion is through the roof!

-- although better performing than Vermintide 2, the framerate still drops significantly when a lot is going on

++ very streamlined experience. There are so many QoL features already in this game that it is hard to notice them. But you can see the difference when you look at almost any other game!

++ DLC policy: only cosmetics. Content is for all. Although, I would definitively pay for more weapons (as long as they are not better than the Vanilla weapons)

++ very good community. There is the occasional snobbism from the people who are Lvl 50 but in general they still don’t mind playing with you. I also have not yet encountered a single voice spammer.

++ in fact, there is no need for voice communication at all. You have a laser pointer with a dynamic ping system and your chat box and hopefully some self-awareness of what your class can and actually needs to do. What I mean is: I don’t know why but teamwork works great in this game even with limited communication!

Tl; dr: This game is basically Starship Troopers with a completely different setting that has rough Warhammer dwarves and some subtle capitalistic critique (or vindication?) and a lot of beer and tactical thinking involved. This is a must buy and one more nail in the coffin of AAA games.

Imagine, you enjoy playing Warframe. A 4 player short or long missions out in space. Shoot aliens and get the loot. Aside that, you enjoy digging for gold and other minerals just like in Minecraft or Terraria. Well, Deep Rock Galactic (DRG) is kind of the love child of Warframe and Minecraft in a way.

It combines the “up to” 4 players mission style and shooting aliens with a large, randomly generated cave system full of precious minerals. Best of all – the rough and easily irritated drunk dwarf sounds. “Now where is that damn mine cart?” or “(censored) I’ve got a pebble in my boot!”. At random intervals as you are progressing through the missions really help bring the gruff characters to life.

The caves of Hoxxes 4 are full of aliens called the Glyphid, Mactera, Naedocyte and many more. You won’t run out of targets to shoot anytime soon – but try not to shoot your fellow dwarves. Friendly fire is ON and it IS a cooperative game!

A little silly now and then
Deep Rock Galactic is the corporation and/or space station on which you arrive as a fresh dwarf. The space station has barrels littered around which you can kick (because you can) as well as bar for some classic ales and stouts. Try not to drink too much and get yourself killed. Management would not approve. Please also do not dance at the bar, you are not being paid the hour. Hopefully you are a better miner than a dancer.

The base game is fully playable with no restrictions. You can optionally get some DLC for extra character customization options. The total number of base customizations is quite large though, and many more may be found or crafted after discovering them in missions. You can customize your pickaxe, guns, sidekick and obviously your dwarf with dozens and dozens of options to choose from. Bigger beard, smaller beard, yellow red or orange beard. The list is very long.

Characters have fixed naming references to certain objects and characters. If you’ve got the beast master perk, you can tame a low level Glyphid grunt and it’ll follow you around like a puppy. Your dwarf will call it ‘Steve’ no matter how many you tame, it’ll always be called ‘Steve’.

Then there’s Molly the mule (or Mining Utility Lift Engine), Doretta the drill dozer (escort missions) and the mysterious character named Karl. Karl will often be named as though he was a lost dwarf. A legend, one of the first explorers now lost in the caves.

And finally Bosco, the robotic sidekick/miner/ninja which will help you on your solo missions. A very helpful little robot.

This was my first FPS. Genuinely so much fun to play with friends (or alone). Couldn't have asked for a better introduction into first person shooters. The classes are also so well-balanced. I'll be singing this game's praises 'til I'm dead.

Absolutely Worth Every Penny!

Deep Rock is an OUTSTANDING “Chilling with the boys” game.

Let's start off with saying the game is incredibly underrated and deserves much more. Like L4D2 and other gameplay loop orientated games, it's very addicting.

Excellent co-op gameplay with randomized cave systems, objective based missions and waves of angry bugs to shoot. It has four very distinct classes with customization and perks. It's just a very well designed game overall. The game does have proper a solo option for those that want to venture alone. While I found it relaxing and engaging, it is not as fun as playing with a group of friends.

The community blew me away! From my experience everyone is super friendly and welcoming to newer players. Barely any toxicity because there is no competitive pressure.

Unfortunately, The endgame may be underwhelming like most of the other gameplay loop orientated games. Once you've done everything, there isn't much of an incentive to play other than just having a short session with friends. However, it will take a while reaching end game. There's just so much to do objectively, that it doesn't get old fast.

The developers care about their product and constantly add updates.

Overall, It's just so fun, there's no pressure to rush anything. It's the type of game you can hop in for an hour or two.

Just sit back, grab your favorite drink and have a good time with your friends.

Fantastic game. Anyone who hasn't played this is really missing out.

Before I played Deep Rock Galactic, I had a small penis, no friends, no girlfriend, depression, and absolutely no life. These things haven't changed, but the game is pretty good.

Deep Rock Galactic is an amazing and gorgeous looking game where only 2 things really matter:
To Rock & Stone

Concept of this game is simple.
Choose dwarf, pick biome, mine, fight waves of monsters in randomised world, mine, escape, upgrade your gear, repeat.
There are 4 dwarfs and each 1 of them has their own unique weapons, tools and playstyle.
Game can be played solo / multiplayer 4 slots max. There is option to play with friends, random queue, host server ect.
Playing solo gives you a robot Bosco who assists you in mining, killing, giving light source, reviving and give company.
Bosco can be upgraded and you can apply skins on him.

There are standard missions and deep dives.
Standard missions have 5 types: Mining Expedition, Egg Hunt, Salvage Operation, Point Extraction & Elimination.
Difficulty can be set from Hazard 1-5, higher the difficulty is the bigger reward you get. Amount of enemies depends on player count.
Missions can also come with Hazard Bonuses that add negative and positive factors.
Deep dives are for promoted dwarfs where you can earn overclocks for your weapons & cosmetics. It has 3 levels that have to be played 1 after another. DD can be played on standard or elite. Elite DD are much more harder with bigger rewards.

No. There is more! In the space station there is a bar where you can get all sorts of beers that have to be unlocked by collecting flowers and plants. Each beer has it's own effect and strength.
A jukebox that charges only 2 credits and plays some good bangers from DRG soundtrack while alos vibing to them.
Barrel hoop mini game where you can score points by kicking barrel into hoop.
You can kick barrels, hammers, tool boxes around the station and piss off mission control guy.

When it comes to gear, upgrades, gun overclocks they are game changers and there are plenty of upgrades and overclocks.
Each dwarf has 2 weapons set for primary and secoundary slot. And for both primary and secoundary slot dwarf has 2 weapons to choose. 2 slots are for tools and they are diffriend depending on the class you are using, and ofcourse a bomb slot.
There are perks that can be unlocked by gaining stars trough challenges that game tells you to complete. 5 perks can be active only.

Why just only focus on upgrading gear when you can also look fabolous while clapping ass cheeks of big spider-ants.
Customization in this game is amazing.
You can apply for character hats, skin color, armor, armor skin, beard, hair, hair color, sideburns and taunts.
Primary and secoundary weapons can get changed models and skin aswell as your pickaxe.
Customization items can be obtained through shop, overclocks or getting them from cargo crates or backpack by lost dwarfs.

Soundtrack is just amazing. In missions it changes depending on the intensity of it.

TL:DR

DRG it's an amazing game that sets you in dynamic world and your job is to adapt to it in order to finish a mission while also mining and killing waves of enemies coming at you.

This game is THE definition of teamwork dependency.
If you do not help out your fellow Dwarves you risk dying alone in a place nobody can reach you in time.

It is very well thought out to the point where I wonder if actual GODS made this game, you should definitely buy this game, and if it's on sale...

Rock and stone, to the bone!

Deep Rock Galactic is a co-operative multiplayer game where you play as dwarves going on dangerous underground missions. Though you can play by yourself, DRG is intended to be a co-op experience, and as a team, you’ll face a wide variety of aggressive aliens (even one that explodes to turn its surroundings into gold!) while completing one of a few different types of missions ranging from mining operations to extermination missions.

The core gameplay here is fairly simple, you get down into a cave, you explore the cave and complete objectives, then you leave. What makes DRG special is the fact that the gameplay is incredibly tight and rewarding, and it’s combined with superb procedural map generation and four very diverse classes. With my current 34 hours in the game, I’ve never had the same experience twice and only very rarely have maps seemed familiar.

It’s also well worth mentioning that DRG has a fantastic community. The vast majority (we’re talking 95%) of my game time has been spent playing with randoms and I can’t think of a single bad experience I’ve had with other players. Communicating is easy through a ping-system and in-game text chat, there’s also voice comms but you don’t need to use them unless you really want to.

Positives:

Great visual style
Thoroughly enjoyable gameplay that stays fresh no matter how long you play.
Compelling progression systems with regular equipment upgrades and new cosmetic items, it never feels like a grind.
Four distinct classes each with their own playstyle. No class is better than the other and there’s a fair amount of options for customization through weapon types and upgrade options.
Plenty of difficulty options to cater for all levels of player. It’s easy to get into the lower difficulty options and the higher ones offer a significant challenge for even the most experienced players.
A good variety of mission types including some ‘endgame’ stuff.
Fantastic community, don’t worry if none of your friends have it.
Bugs and glitches are very rare. I’ve experienced a handful in my time with the game.
You can brew beer and get blackout drunk with your team.
Awesome soundtrack.

Negatives:

riendly fire, why does this need to be a thing? The two heavy classes in particular deal a lot of AoE damage and I found it kind of frustrating to be accidentally damaging or getting accidentally damaged by my team.

Verdict:

DRG offers a near perfect co-op experience thanks in part to its great community. Add in a compelling progression system, tight core gameplay, and a good amount of all-around variety and you’ve got yourself one hell of a game. See you in the caves, brother!

Rarely has a game sucked me in like this. Payday 2 did it, GTA Online did it and that was years ago, Division 2 sadly never did it but this? Dwarves? Mining? Aliens? Beer? If that's not a winning combination, then i don't know what is.

The basic premise is this: You're a dwarf and you mine around on a planet to collect Gold, Minerals, Fungus, Fosils and other stuff but this isn't Disney, the dwarfs don't go Hi Ho and sing along, instead they chug down beers and wield weapons of mass destruction to turn this game into basically the greatest Aliens Shooter ever. There have been many official Aliens games but most of them either sucked or were about horror with shooting forbidden (like Alien Isolation). Remember the movie Aliens? The Sentrys? The Flamethrowers? The fear when a swarm of creepy crawlies came down a corridor? Yeah, that's exactly what you get here and it's bloody awesome.

The Game is built around PvE Coop with 4 classes: The Gunner, the Engineer, the Driller and the Scout. The names are a bit misleading though, since they all can fight and they all have defensive or offensive capabilities. The Gunner has a big gun but so does the Engineer with his grenade launcher while the Driller has the Flamethrower to go full Ellen Ripley on the monsters. Each class has different unique skills though. The Engineer can put up plattforms, the Gunner has ziplines to make it look like the ski lifts in the alps, combine both though and you can zipline to a platform to mine otherwise unreachable minerals. The Driller, as the name implies has 2 massive drills to go through mountains like they're butter. The Scout has a zipline to egoistically reach platforms, while nobody else can. Yeah, he's like the sucker of the team, whose sole claim to fame are the flares that light up caves.

Next to the Aliens the missions are filled with dangers, steep drops, rough terrain, nuclear diamonds and poison mushrooms that release so much green smoke not even Mario would want to eat them, as well as spikes, spit throwing plants and random nature catastrophes like sand/icestorms (that make you blind or freeze you) or earthquake that rip apart the earth, so you might even fall to your death.

The Aliens also come in all forms and f fashions. Harmless small things that gnaw on your dwarfy legs to flying enemies that zap you to plants on the ceiling that grab you (Totally not stolen from Half-Life) to Sandworms that take you for an unwelcome ride (Totally not stolen from Dune) or robots that shoot grenades and lasers at you but once you defeat them purr like a kitten and work on your side after you repaired them.

Missions range so far from simple mining operations (mine 2 kinds of stuff, exist) to Elimination (Eliminate several Glyphid Dreadnought and yes, they sound as nasty as the name implies) to Point Extraction (get stuff to a mining plattform), Egg Hunt (steal alien eggs, which unleashes a terrifying cry of pain and usually a swarm of aliens) and Salvage Operation, where you clean up the mess a previous dwarven crew left (they died, they fucked up, their mules are broken, repair them, repair their pod, try to escape)
Since mission types only would be a bit boring and Mutators have been popular since at least UT99, we get them as well, randomly, on missions. They can be either really good (like lots more gold, lots more minerals, weak hitpoints on aliens) or really bad (no 02, so you run out of air and have to stick to the mule or drop pod, enemies that spawn smaller enemies when they die or the nastiest thing ever: haunted caves, where a Bulk Detonator plays Predator, goes mostly invisible, haunts you, is invincible and can fuck an entire team in 40 seconds)
Once you surved all that, you can jump into Deep Dive missions, that are even more dangerous and more difficult.

Now to fight all this nasty stuff, you of course can upgrade your dwarf with more skills and perks, both active and passive, as well as promote him to get another passive/active perk. Promoting a class at least once is basically needed once you go becond Hazard 3 (out of 5)
You can go Solo and either you have an (upgradable) flying Bot named Bosco with you, who you can somewhat control to mine minerals or shoot rockets at enemies (otherwise it just flies around and uses 2 guns to shoot at stuff, as well as being able to revive you a limited numer of times) but this game certainly is a ton more fun with other people who play all roles or at least most roles (i certainly take 2 gunners or 2 engineers over 1 scout)

What else is there to say: Graphically it's nothing special but the terraforming maps are the best since Red Faction basically really introduced it in 2001. You can dig, mine, bomb your way around and discover hidden events, hidden loot and dead mining dwarves to get cosmetics.
The sound is a bit mixed. The music is mostly great altough some pieces totally sound like they were stolen straight from Mass Effect. The effects are good, the grenade launcher makes enough noise to keep a subwoofer happy. The voices are, limited. 1 guy voices all characters with just differences in pitch and you can easily tell, that gives them a bit less personality compared to other PvE games like Payday or Vermintide where the different voice actors make the characters shine.
But that's basically my only criticism,

What needs to be noticed is: NO Microtransactions. NO DLC outside of a Soundtrack and a Supporter Pack that only features gaudy (gold) cosmetics and the game runs on P2P, so better stay with hosts from your country or the countries around otherwise you might get some nasty lag.

There's also some entertainment for the hardworking dwarves in the form of barrels you can kick around, an actually barrel kicking mini game, the always great juke box where you can dance and most importantly: Beer. There are beers that just get you drunk, beers that put a variety of fun effects on you (like sending you to some random spot, make you fart or set you on fire) and the daily brews that give you a boost for the next mission, wether it's having some more pickaxe power, giving your more health or the always awesome pot o' gold beer that doubles your gold in take, so you can become the richest dwarf in the galaxy.

Anyway, if you can't tell: This game is absolutely awesome and a blast to play. The community is mostly nice enough, with everybody just having fun and rarely any idiots, griefers or trolls. Get it!

On a serious note tho, really good game with a progression system that I can't do anything but recommend, and replayability beyond just RNG, it's really crazy.
You can only understand it once you played it but beware it will steal your soul... And your free time

My review is lengthy, so I'll preface my paragraphs with a TL;DR:

1. Can I have fun on Day 1?
Yes. Jump right in. From Haz 1 to Haz 4 you can succeed with no upgrades or leveling.
Just use good teamwork.

2. How's the shooting?
Most excellent. Some of the most satisfying gunplay I've experienced in years as a shooter-game guy.

3.Difficulty?
Fair and skill-based. You won't be out-leveling your foes with raw stats here. Aim well and PAY ATTENTION to your environment.

4.Classes?
Well balanced and uniquely fun.

5.World?
Incredibly varied and gorgeous. You'll need to learn a bit of platforming to figure out your next jump. Do it quickly, the horde approaches!

6. Enemies?
As varied as the environments. All dangerous. All fun to shoot.

7. Missions?
Enough to keep things interesting and challenging in their own right.

8. Levels, upgrades, grind, and endgame?

You'll acquire everything you want at a decent pace that rewards you adequately for your time. There's no XP boosters or lootcrates. The endgame is not the only means to the final tier of rewards, but a fun test of your skills as a dwarf.

You level decently fast, and you unlock the fun stuff at a respectable pace as well.

Now then, on to my big sales pitch...

What I love about Deep Rock Galactic is that this game lacks a lot of the trifling, tedious things most modern games like to throw at you.

This isn't an endless quest of RNG loot grinding. This is a solid shooter that you can pick up and play without fretting that you're missing out on a full season of shallow rewards, cosmetic exclusives, and time limited weaponry which you might have to grind twenty tedious runs just to maybe acquire.

To start at Day 1 presents you with four unique classes which all play differently, with unique guns and terrain traversal tools which synergize between each other to help you mine, dig, and hunt down your objectives.

Yes, there is leveling, resource gathering, and upgrades in the form of loadout upgrades and dwarf perks. However, the quest to these is a steady, well paced adventure that encourages you to journey inside ALL biomes, each of which present unique obstacles to traverse.

From Hazard 1 (easiest difficulty) to Hazard 4 (highest before unlocking Hazard 5) you can succeed with no perks, upgrades, or even an hour spent on any one dwarf, with nothing but situational awareness and good shooting. Which brings me to the biggest thing -

The gunplay is excellent. Every weapon feels and sounds good. You're often asked to aim not just straight ahead, but up, down, at every wall, even the empty air. The enemy is everywhere, and it is endless. A continuous, remorseless horde of jaws and fangs that come from nowhere and everywhere, in forms as varied as the eerie, sodden, frigid, hellish, and irradiated landscapes you will struggle through to reach either the mission's end - or your own.

It can't be understated how integral the terrain is to gameplay. These aren't just randomly generated tunnels with some dips and ledges to make things a little more interesting. The formulae at which terrain is generated spawns places but beautiful yet also steeply treacherous and labyrinthine.

You aren't just shooting your way out, you're thinking on your feet as you platform over gaping chasms and vault yourself over erupting fire pits, the horde behind you immolated on the spot where you just were. It's gripping. It's tense... But the pacing is kind enough to offer you enough quiet moments to appreciate the glowing grandeur of towering crystals and glittering salt spires you may freely climb.

Best part is it's all destructible. Dig it out into a defensive trench. Drill yourself an escape tunnel to reach a lost friend. Bait your enemies into a meadow of explosive fungus flowers... Or fall to your death down a very, very deep hole. There's a lot of possibilities under planet Hoxxes that require you to adapt quickly and think on your feet with the tools and guns provided to you.

Customization is fun. There's an in-game shop with NO microtransactions whatsoever. You spend the gold you earn and the resources you've mind to buy yourself new beards, armor suits, and even skin colors. It's all purely cosmetic.

Along the way the game will also reward you with shinies to uncover in the environments themselves.
Crates to uncover weapon skins, lost helmets with coordinates to backpacks holding armor skins or cosmetic pickaxe parts.

You aren't charged a dime for any of that. Only a bit of your time and courage.

The endgame isn't especially hard to arrive at, but it does require you practice the good habits you've learned along the way. Team work, efficient terrain traversal, and good aim, in a series of longer missions full of double-objectives and heightened enemy spawns.

The rewards are Overclocks. Perks ranging from mundane and convenient to lopsided and peculiar. These will either do boring things like increase your ammo - or make your glowing line of plasma spin around like crazy and cut up everything in front of you.

They're fun but unnecessary. My advice? Don't treat the endgame like a grind to slog through. Don't look at your upgrades and cosmetics as a checklist.

Experience the adventure. Revel in the solid core mechanics which make this an excellent shooter to dive into.

Appreciate Deep Rock Galactic for what it is - an honest reprieve from a game genre filled with unrewarding tedium made to wring you of your dollars.
