An sich 1zu1 das selbe Spiel... also im Grunde eine vollkommen sinnfreie Kopie von Defiance selbst! Da Defiance selbst ja auch noch läuft, nehme ich einfach mal an, das die Absicht dahinter die war, mehr Leute zu erreichen und auf die Art und Weise mit im Grunde einem Spiel doppelt abzusahnen.

Was mich wirklich extrem stört, ist das die Server ziemlich mies laufen und mir scheint auch das es weit mehr Fehler als das Original hat... zumindest hoffe ich echt, das es noch so der Fall ist. Ich spiele auf dem EU Server und es lagt so abnormal als wäre ich auf einem Server in Amerika oder Australien oder sonst wo am Arsch der Welt von hier aus gesehen, allerdings ist es weniger ein verbindungstechnisches, als mehr ein Performance-Problem.
Das äußert sich dann durch plötzlich aufploppende oder verschwindende und durch die Gegend portende Gegner, Freezes oder man ist halt auf einmal tot ohne das was war bzw. man etwas hätte tun können meistens halt eben auch genau aus dem Grund... der Server stell die Arbeit kurzzeitig ein und wenn es sich dann wieder gefangen hat, läuft alles auf einen Schlag ab. Zack hat man halt dann zich Treffer sitzen, auf die man nicht reagieren kann/ konnte etc.

Das ist richtiger Bockmist! Vor allem wenn man nochmal von vorne anfangen musste wie ich, aber in meinem Fall war es so, dass ich mich mit max. Level und im Grunde Endgame-Erfahrung auf einmal nicht mehr einloggen konnte und auch keine Antworten von Support o.ä. bekam. Also musste eh nochmal neu anfangen und da dachte ich mir, ich versuche es bei 2050.
Ich weiß, dass es bei dem Original auch nicht gerade super um die Server bestellt war und vielleicht ist es da mittlerweile auch so scheiße - also schlimmer als ich es noch von damals in Erinnerung habe, aber das ist halt wirklich DER Strick an dem sich das Ganze aufhängt und in keinster Weise tragbar!
Damals hatte dies wohl am ehesten mit der Spieleranzahl zu tun die mittlerweile allerdings nicht einmal mehr 1/10 davon beträgt.
Naja... wenn man mal Glück hat und es für eine Weile relativ flüssig läuft, dann geht es ja, aber ist finde ich selten der Fall und auch nur kurz anhaltend. Ich denke auch um so mehr Gegnerkontakt man hat bzw. um so intensiver das Gefecht um so schlimmer ist und wird es.

Was leider noch generell dazu kommt, ist das das Spiel doch ziemlich unübersichtlich aufgebaut ist vom Menü und den Optionen her, aber auch den Features. Das meiste ist mir noch von damals bekannt, aber war mir da schon zumindest lange Zeit ein Rätsel und von den Sachen die ich noch nicht kannte, fange ich erst gar nicht an. Also bezogen auf Waffenupgrades, Ausrüstungsoptionen, Skills, Währungen uvm. Dank einer langen Auszeit, bin ich auch größtenteils raus aus den mir bekannten Sachen und hab da auch kein Bock mich groß mit zu befassen.
Letztendlich einfach viel (unnötiger) Scheiß, ohne jegliche Erklärung oder Tutorial... bei Vielem weiß ich nicht ob es nicht vielleicht einen höheren Nutzen hätte, aber meist traue ich mich nicht irgendwas groß zu nutzen oder was zu investieren, aus Angst Geld für Müll aus dem Fenster zu werfen - also ingame Währungen (zumal ich persönlich eh kein Echtgeld investieren würde) - wie gesagt sehr unübersichtlich und undurchschaubar was das angeht.

Nach meinen neusten Erkenntnissen sind wohl Cheater bzw. Hacker zumindest mitschuld wenn nicht sogar Hauptschuldige daran, dass die Server schlecht laufen. Zumindest konnte ich als in meiner Umgebung wieder einer davon über die Stränge geschlagen hat, beobachten wie der Server sichtlich Probleme hatte und die Server FPS bzw. Performance in den Keller fielen.
Und naja... ist klar, das muss alles berechnet werden und wenn da ein Arschloch alle Gegner in einem Gebiet flächendeckend mit einem Klick wegholt und teilweise noch welche von der heftigeren Sorte oder gar Bossgegner und im Grunde alles was da ist, wegfegt, ist klar, das der Server da schon mal richtig aufdrehen muss und rumspinnt und wenn das dann nicht nur einer ist sondern gleichzeitig gar mehrere die da falsch spielen, dann hat man eben solche Zustände. Da ist es dann an sich sogar verwunderlich, dass der Server nicht komplett abschmiert...
Zumindest kann ich mir das so sehr gut vorstellen - auch wenn der Server ohnehin ständig auch so schon überfordert ist.
Ich hatte damals Endgame Status, aber was ich da ständig zu sehen bekomme, dazu war ich nicht in der Lage und ist definitiv kein legitimes Gameplay bspw. Motherload oder Progenitor innerhalb 2 Sekunden platt machen oder Archenfall unter 10 Sekunden abschließen. Also das wird mir auch keiner weiß machen können, selbst wenn sich da wer mit Echtgeld ans Maximum gehurt hat, halte ich das nicht für legitimes Gameplay. Die Entwickler würden so ja ihre eigenen Server abschießen. Auch wenn die nur aufs Geld aus sind, würde ich das doch stark anzweifeln.
Also ich bin sehr erbost darüber - selbst wenn es den Server nicht derart mitnehmen würde, im Endeffekt steht man daneben und darf zuschauen wie Einzelne das Spiel ruinieren und meist kann man nicht einmal sagen wer es war, als ich letztens aber mal einen erwischt und zur Rede gestellt habe, ist der noch frech geworden. Aber was soll man machen? Melden? Wem denn? Es kümmert sich wie gesagt niemand darum.
Naja... einfach ein weiteres Multiplayerspiel welches dank Cheatern oder generell bösartigen Elementen dem Untergang geweiht ist... ausnahmsweise hier aber mal kein PvP Spiel sondern ein KoopSpiel was es noch weitaus trauriger macht, allerdings auch keine Seltenheit.
Es sind aber auch nicht nur Hacker sondern auch andere toxische Elemente, die einem sämtlichen Spaß am Spiel nehmen und sei es nur mit ihrem Verhalten.
Ich bin generell an dem Punkt angekommen, dass ich Onlinespiele einfach nur noch und direkt ablehne - und zwar genau aus genannten Gründen. Zum einen weil ich aus dem Alter raus bin, aber auch generell niemals derart bösartig und gehässig war und zum Anderen auch weil ich Zeiten erlebt habe, vor dem Internet und seit beinah zwei Jahrzehnten mitverfolge, wie sich dieser ganze Mist immer weiter verschärft bzw. immer schlimmer und unerträglicher wird und an meiner Stimmung und Materie kratzt. Ich gehe im Grunde schon mit einer solchen Erwartungshaltung ins Spiel. Im Grunde eine Art Schutzfunktion, allerdings bewahrheitet sie sich in mindestens 4/5 aller Fälle auch. Gewohnheit weil es einfach der Standard ist...
Gute Einzelspieler-Spiele insbesondere mit Langzeitspielspaß und Freeplay etc. werden auch immer seltener... es ist schon echt tragisch das Ganze... zumindest wenn man es erkannt hat, es anders kannte, man selbst nicht so drauf ist und es auch nicht erträgt.

Im Endeffekt ist es einfach so, dass diese Entwickler hier sich nicht um ihr Spiel, ihre Server und Community kümmern und das alles mehr oder weniger sich selbst überlassen wird und so eben vor die Hunde geht. Naja... solange der Rubel rollt wird das laufen lassen und wenn nicht, dann werden die Server ganz abgeschalten. Halt rein nach dem Pay-to-Win und Pay-for-Progress Konzept/ Prinzip.

Ich spielte Defiance schon auf der PS3 damals und danach auf dem PC seit sehr langer Zeit. Als ich damals las das Defiance 2050 veröffentlicht wird, hatte ich sehr große Erwartungen in dem Spiel. Viele Neuerungen, bessere Grafik, geilere Gegner, Waffen und und und. Leider wurden meine Erwartungen und meine Freude zum Spiel mit Füßen getreten. Die Community und der Hype war Anfangs noch riesig. Es waren viele Spieler aktiv und es war einfach ein mega geiles Feeling Defiance wieder so wiederbelebt zu sehen. Dennoch merkte man als langjähriger Defiance Spieler, dass sich nicht wirklich viel am Spiel verändert hat. Gleiche Story, gleiche Engine im Prinzip ist einfach das meiste alles gleich gewesen. Nur etwas verbesserte Grafik, kleinen Bug Fixes, viel mehr Grinding bla bla bla.
Es war auch schon ziemlich nervig das ich meinen alten hochgelevelten Charakter nicht mit der neuen Defiance Auflage synchronisieren durfte. Alles wieder von neu erspielen müssen und doppelt so hart dafür Grinden... puh.
Die erschienenen DLCs sind einfach nur der letzte Witz und wieder ein Versuch von Trion den Leuten so gut es geht das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Wenigstens kein 150€ DLC mehr, aber trotzdem schon recht teuer für so ein paar mickrige DLCs. Mittlerweile gibt es auch kaum Spieler mehr in Defiance. Es ist wie eine Geisterstadt wenn man durchs Ödland fährt. Es ist wirklich Schade das Defiance solche lausigen & faulen Entwickler halt, obwohl das Spiel wirklich so viel Potential in sich hat. Ich verschwinde auch somit wieder zum Schluss gesagt von Defiance 2050. Lieber spiele ich das Original nochmals ab und zu, statt wieder für nichts von vorne anfangen zu müssen.

DEFIANCE 2050

Ein tolles Beispiel wo an erster Stelle das Geld und an gar keiner Stelle der Spieler / Spiel steht.

DEFIANCE 2050 ( 2018 ) ist der klägliche Versuch eines gescheiterten DEFIANCE (2013) nun doch den Leuten das Geld aus den Taschen zu ziehen.
Seit 2018 kann man das Trauerspiel nun auch in High Definition genießen was an sich garnicht schlecht wäre........würden einem nicht die gleichen nervenden Kleinigkeiten die aber in der Summe einen ganz schön ABNERVEN das Spiel vermiesen.
Am meisten aber Nervt das an jeder Ecke zu spüren ist das es bei diesem Spiel nur ums Geld geht......Waffen Drops so gut wie garnicht und wenn nutzloser mist .
Wo bei DEFIANCE (2013) man noch regelmäßig seine Waffen austauschen konnte ist es nun aber so das kaum Waffen Dropen die zu gebrauchen sind..Oder an den Händler Stationen da gibt auch keine Waffen mehr zu kaufen nur noch Waffen in Grün und das für viel Scripts.
Alles künstlich in die Länge gezogen.......gähn !

Kostenlose Spiele gibts auch in gut und Fair......DEFIANCE 2050 gehört nicht dazu!.

Ich muss hier echt mal ein Positives Review dalassen, weil die meisten schlechten Reviews einfach Falsch Informieren. Ich meine nicht das dieses Spieln perfekt ist aber nicht so wie es dargestellt wird.

ab jetzt ein wenig Konstruktiver:

Defience 2050 ist ein reboot des normalen Defiance und unterscheidet sich im wesentlichen nicht so sehr wie man es erwarten würde. Es ist mehr ein rework.

Die grafik unterscheidet sich auch nicht wirklich. Gamneplay ist wie gehabt mit außnahme einiger überarbeitungen die dem neueinsteiger nicht interessieren brauchen. Alles Solide, nicht perfekt aber Solide.

Die Server funktionieren auch im großen und ganzen super. Die meisten Reviews die sich über laggende server bechweren könnten vergessen haben im Launcher auf Eu umzustellen da dieser stndartmäßig auf NA eingestellt ist. Also an alle neueinsteiger, nicht vergessen Server Umzustellen.

Ob dieses Spiel p2w ist kann ich noch nicht sagen, das wird sich zeigen.
Exp Boni und andere sachen sind vorhanden aber sind eher zum schnellen Progress gedacht, sollte den normalen spieler nicht kümmern.

Ob das Endgame außreichenden Kontent besitzt kann ich auch noch nicht sagen aber bis dahin stehen die Standdartgemäßen 20-40 h zum Lvn an.

Wie man merkt habe ich sehr oft Standart und Solide verwendet, und genau das ist dieses Spiel auch.

Defiance 2050 ist nicht Perfekt oder schlecht, sondern Solide

und ist damit schon im oberen 60% bereich der meisten F2p spiele.

Fazit: Wer sich Destiny 2 nicht leisten kann oder bei dem der Rechner zu schlecht ist für AAA,
derjenige sollte es ausprobieren.

Wer dazu neigt Geld in F2p spielen zu lassen sollte sich hier ein wenig zurück halten, der Publisher ist immernoch Trion Worlds, bei dem reboot auf Defiance 2050 haben die Spieler des alten Defiance quasi alles Geld verloren was sie Investiert hatten weil es ja nich mehr gepatcht wird.

Was ein dringend benötigtes Update für Defiance hätte werden sollen, wurde einfach mal als neues Spiel heraus gebracht. Natürlich kann man keine Charaktere übernehemen und muss alles erneut kaufen.

Wenn man ein altes Spiel, was früher schon schlecht war, neu Vermarktet, sich aber im großen und ganzen eigentlich nichts ändert, darf man auch nicht Hoffen das es besser wird.

In diesem Fall der gleiche Müll nur mit einer aufgefrischten Grafik.

Das DLC kann man sich sparen, mit etwas Geduld und Ausdauer könnt ihr euch jede Klasse erspielen.

+ Bisher ganz okay, hat sich nicht viel getan zum Vorgänger.
Das Waffensystem hat sich verändert. Statt fertigen Loot zu finden, macht man(n) sich nun selbst daran diesen weiter zu entwickeln. Also Waffen upgraden, moden, und bestimmt Eigenschaften einbauen. Somit wird in Zukunft jede Waffe durch unterschiedliche Schwächen und Stärken noch individueller daher kommen.

- Ganz schlimm sind die Standbilder die man in regelmäßigen Abständen hat. (Standbilder nun nicht mehr so extrem, seltener.)
Ich kann mich zwar bewegen, laufen, schießen etc. allerdings tut sich um mich herum nichts mehr.
Wenn es dann weiter geht, liegt man geschlagen vom Gegner im Dreck.
Der Neuauflage von Defiance gebe ich trotzdem eine Chance.
Ich denke in Zukunft wird sich noch einiges tun, verbessern, dazukommen.

85 hour in original defiance, 30 in this one, it was fun while it lasted, but server are shuting down 12 hour after my review.

The best thing about this mmo was the fact that you didn't need anyone to play. You could join a raid on the map and multiple people were already there doing it too. Just bunch of random people helping each other out. Quest would count if someone else helped you, you couldn't steal kill as they were counting for everyone.

Rest In Peace to an amazingly fun game that gave me so much fun, its so sad they're shutting down the servers. I remember playing defiance many years ago on my ps3 then came to defiance 2050 on pc both versions were fun with funny bugs and glitches here and there but it was fun while it lasted.

I bought the engineer class pack right? And after I bought it, I never got the engineer. I requested a refund, and got denied. Now, the store no longer sells the class packs...i really just got scammed lmfao

I decided to replay this game today and then it announces it's closure in the same day.
Awesome.

Fun game despite it's flaws, the IP should be given to someone else since the devs has been neglecting the game for a long time.

After 90 minutes of play you get stuck on a main mission bug that does not spawn enemies. Therefore you cannot proceed to play the rest of the main mission.
This has been an issue since beta(2018), after doing a bit of research.

Take original Defiance, hamstring the player with lack of gear, advancement, abilities, make it even more grind-y, and lock everything that was previously open (missions, hotshots, etc) behind requirements.
Recommend play original Defiance.

I was fairly excited to play this. Once I got to the lvl 4/lvl 5 experience level, the game became almost unplayable. Npcs disappear and kill you while simultaneously being non-existent. They shoot through any and every object while invisible melee npcs follow and kill you. NPCs shoot without moving but will disappear and reappear somewhere else. This is not an internet or pc issue. The game would be a lot of fun if these issues were not as prevelant as they are. Its also pretty easy to get your character stuck without a way of fixing it other than relogging. Im only not recommending the game due to these bugs. They have substantial impact.

SUFFERING FROM BORDERLANDSITIS
I have a love/hate relationship with this game, let me elaborate:
GOOD THINGS
-free
-open world
-looter shooter mentality
-lots of content
-enough players to stay alive

NOT SO GOOD THINGS
-leveling system is as broken as Borderlands
-Objectives system is as broken as Borderlands
-Dialogue and plot is as terrible as Borderlands

VERDICT
If this game wasn't free, I wouldn't recommend it. It crashes, it's difficult, and cringe worthy at times. But at other times it manages to pull off a beautiful open world with lots of factions and things to do. Try it, what have you got to lose?

It's the same one! no positive differences whatsoever! Maybe if you sit still you can probably see better textures...
Who cares it's an action game, you never stay still!
- Less character creations options
- now class rather than an open skill tree (one you could respec!)
- 8 classes and, of course, 4 of them are locked behind paywall
I like the OG clunky game! Did they improved the mechanics? nah!
Stick with old school on this!

I really cannot recommend this. I gave them time to try and address the tonne of negativity against it when it first came out. I figured a few months and lets see what they can come up with.

Well for those who haven't played the previous defiance, guess for you have a game with a story which takes awhile to play. The story and characters are a plus. Its an action adventure game based on a now defunct tv series of same name minus the 2050 part. Its kinda similar to games like borderlands but simply nowhere as good. As it is now 5.5/10

For those who played defiance before and checking back. Well its the same story, new classes, new ego, upgrade format and reward system. They basically changed the dynamics of the previous defiance which made it popular to what they have now which is not popular at all. Numbers don't lie. Plus is pretty dead, very few players which only reflects just how much previous defiance players really didn't appreciate what they have done. Arkfalls can hardly pull 10-15 players if you lucky in the time I have played this. Good luck trying to fill a coop instance, just too few players on. To be honest the original defiance is by far way better. & no you can't bring your defiance character to defiance 2050. You have to start from scratch.

Pity really, there was huge potential with the original defiance to get so much better but guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

If the original defiance is still up, previous defiance players I highly suggest to stick to that. This is just major disappointment.

At its core, the changes between Defiance and Defiance 2050 showed a lot of promise, however it appears they stopped development and slapped a half completed system over old quests/map with no changes, hoping to rake in micro-transaction cash by locking everything behind paywalls.

With a hard cap of 50 levels. this game offers very little in way of playtime and variation.

Go play the old defiance and enjoy the unlimited levels and more fun weapons.

Oh dear. I loved the original, and this is a huge disappointment. Less content, the fact that they didn't add silicon valley really fries my noodle. There are new classes which can be unlocked with cash or earned with rep and they have a roadmap for new stuff but I doubt we'll ever see it, it's been out for quite a while now and there's not much going on. All the old bugs are still present and a few new ones too. Music and sound effects can get stuck, requiring a relog to get rid of them, constant disconnects and bugged missions which often refuse to start/complete correctly. It's run by Gamigo. Enough said. Oh and there's hackers.

I am very disappointed in this game. It is shameless how much is directly taken from the old Defiance game without upgrade. I couldn't believe the original cut scenes were not redone.

The graphics are old, and the gun play is clunky as it was in 2013 (or whenever the original was a thing). I tried playing a battle medic, I found the class under-powered.

If you want to play an unashamed rip off of Defiance, play this. However, If you yearn for the old days, go play the original. It is pretty much a ghost town but it has got to be better than this.

It is a fun FPS shooter to mess about in but falls short on many levels. Also the game is kinda dead...

I would only recommend it for a short play time.

Sure Destiny 2 has much better graphics but i prefer this open world concept, its a bit like Rift where actually players from different lvls can join in world events. Its a pity there isnt much new players so if you need to solo all the way to higher areas before you can meet other players.

This is really a great game. It's overshadowed by games like red redemption and destiny. Although those games are far much better, this game isn't half bad. I've already gotten more than 24 hrs on the game and I've not even had it for a week. Honestly, I don't understand why these reviews are mixed.

Exactly like The original Defiance only slower and less content and more frequent Disconnection's. And it's not my end. 20MB/ps unlimited Net. I recommend Old Defiance players stay at old Defiance as It's much more than this copied garbage. So what was the dev's intent? Making a BS copy to steal more money from you... Again Original Defiance much better than this copied garbage.

I will start by saying this is a relatively simple game. You run around (or drive around), shooting things until they die. Sometimes they drop loot, rinse repeat. I love this game. I have been a fan of this game since before it was originally released as a game tied into the show Defiance that aired on Syfy a long time ago (back when it was sci fi). I played the original, and I loved that, and Defiance 2050 is just that - Defiance, with 2050 added to the name. Sadly, this seems like a dead game at times, but still I love it.

I honestly haven't noticed any real changes to this game, despite it being ported to a newer direct X. Graphics still look the same (maybe a bit more crisp re-texturing), character customization is still as generic as ever, and basically little has changed. Class system is new which makes more sense when you compare it to the original system (ego powers, millions of roads to choose, etc.), but it becomes a bit superfluous after you max out the abilities (you get 3) and put 5 points into the tiers between. Weapon upgrade system is a bit easier to do now too, and it is as fun as ever. I loved being able to change the look of the gun based off of what I have on it, so I'm glad they still let us do that.

Now, despite all of this, there is a major downside to this game that may drive a lot of players away, which this game cannot have much more of if it is to survive. There are a LOT of hackers in this game. Almost every single ark fall, invasion, every event of any kind I go to that has multiple players there, someone is hacking. I've seen someone who was shooting their shotgun way faster than the Votan assault rifle and running faster than someone with maxed out roller ability, all while doing super high damage to everything. Another hacker I saw was some item level 450 person with a green sniper rifle, jumping and landing head shots on everything, killing every enemy in one hit (no matter what it was), with the beam from the rifle splitting like a shotgun to kill multiple enemies.

These are just a few of the more easily seen hackers. There are also people whose weapons hit way harder than they should (with too low of item level to be able to do so) and all this hacking generally ruins the competitive nature that made ark falls and invasions fun. This is one of the serious issues this game has, and it is stupidly hard to report these players. Doing a search as to how to report players basically sounds like you need to summon some dark elder God and make a pact with it, then sell your soul to Satan after the pact had been made. Then, after your soul is gone, make a recording of the person hacking, report said person without using their name on the forums you need to report them to, to some dude in the forums who doesn't seem to exist. It makes no sense, and is more trouble than it is worth so it's not even worth doing.

All in all, I love this game despite the terrible reporting system. I wish they had made some major graphical changes to this game instead of just minor tweaks and changes here and there then slapping 2050 on the title, but not much can be done about that now. Maybe with Gamigo's acquisition of Trion this game will get some much needed TLC, but I have little to no hope in that. I want desperately for this game to succeed, but I have a feeling this game is on it's last legs. Maybe if more people played this game it would survive longer and get what it needs, but I doubt it. Sadly this game seems to have been on a decline for years, and I don't see anything bringing it back. Sad, but I will play it for as long as I can. Maybe a miracle will happen.

A shell of a game upon a shell of a studio too easily slain by stupidity.

At launch there was promise for a better future. The player base there, many migrated over from old Defiance (D13) to this new version. Sadly, this game has none of the soul the original had. The only future this game has is attempts by Gamigo to suck money out whales for synergies and cosmetics.

Nothing good remains of this game. Avoid like the plague.

The game is fun tom play, but lacks alot of endgame content.. i would like to see shortly in the future more things for the fans of defiance to have a reason to keep playing. More weapons, more instances, and a better pvp match making . PVP never ques because there is not enough players ever to play a min of 16 per match. AS MY OPINION, IF THEY MAKE MORE CONTENT, THE PEOPLE WILL COME.

Finally a game where I can shoot a MG without running out of ammo in 30 seconds.

Not the best F2P mmo but I had fun. Some pros:
- You unlock a vehicle pretty early on
- Ammo dumps are plentiful
- Always at least 1 event available (other players may not be included)
- Get amazed that you aren't alone on the server
- Game doesn't bother explaining right click while map is open to get a GPS route so you don't have to Skyrim horse across mountains
- Do so anyway and charge into a lake
- Follow GPS route from now on

15/10 would fast travel from an ocean again.

O yea some negs:
- Can't make a waifu.
Graphics haven't aged well. Not a lot of customisation (without money anyway).
- Learning curve
A ton of different features to figure out. Tbh you can still clear content without figuring things out. You'll just power up a bit slower.
- Inventory feels tiny
40 slots to hold my weapons, shields, grenades, and hoard of every single mod in case i need them later. I recommend for hoarders to buy the $10 bits (premium currency) pack and then buy inventory surplus for 900 bits to get another 60 inventory slots.

I will be amazed if anyone read this far.

An old game I used to play 24/7 on xbox, I fell this game is under-rated and needs more love, the only problem I have with this game is quests that NEED 4 players to play, I always get 3/4 players always and can't progress.

Lets be honest here the reviews say that this is the origional game retextured, as a person who play this game with 50+ hours of the original on xbox and then moving to pc's origional i have never been more dissapointed in my life.

the game now isnt even the actual Origional game, everything has been nerfed wanna grind as the game has it can't the multitude of enemies that were there are non exsistent, the many events that were suppose to be here gone, the old shop was the best shop for the game now the worst mods are now overpriced and they expect us with this terrible remake to rebuy the cosmetics that we wont get in the old game they took away all the elemental mods and limited us to like 5 different mods for like 12000 creds which is bs honestly i was waiting mabey they would pull a no man sky and actually try but i realized THIS IS TRITON just as bad and scumbaggy as Hi rez studios its just dissapointing

This game shines for the first 2500 power level, steady level increase and satisfying progression. After 2500 power level the game starts capping the drops, there's not enough activities to grind PL because the game is dead, can't even find one coop game a day.

Pretty fun game that feels like a proto-version to games like Borderlands and Rage. Most complaints I read are comparing this to Defiance OG, but I didn't play that, so their complaints are moot to me.

My cons are that this game is so dead multiplayer is pointless and I'm worried Trion Worlds has abandoned both versions as there has not been an update since October '19 for events. I would love to see life breathed into this game and it get the same phoenix treatment as No Man's Sky had.

Many main missions become repeatable as an area event so you can farm for loot just as well as the Arkfall events(just basically consider these the repeatable missions and planet events of Destiny 1&2) that if you aren't a fan of Arkfall, you can still grow. You should still do them, though. Especially the big areas where the big boss type will be found and thus an Ex Inanis Runner who will give you offer you goods for all that Gulanite you just picked up. Much like Xur in Destiny, these guys will have the best stuff you can find on up to the orange texted Prototype weapons.

You may have noticed I've used D2 and Borderlands to describe this game. Well that's because this game feels like a restructured D2 wrapped in a sheet (just one) of Borderlands attitude. The higher your equipment power, the more powerful you are in general and the easier time you *should* have with enemies weaker than yourself (those hellbugs and scrappers are Squirrelly, bring a Shotgun or explosives). All in all, it seems like a decent retro answer to modern titles on the market whose flaws could be largely addressed by a larger player base and inciting Trion to further support it.

Same game with less fun... I tried to play and was hopeful for improvements of the old defiance.... I was wrong.

Class skills got gutted, EGO level means nothing now, weapons are difficult power up unless..... you pay ;(

I read the bad reviews. I wanted to see it for myself.

I don't understand what was appealing about this game or why I wasted my time with the original. A true classic piece of garbage. This is literally the same game with loading screen ads and updated texture maps. I don't even think they redid the models. Just textures. Such a lazy reboot.
The game is also dead. I met a guy that didn't speak English, and then some dude that just followed me silently. I saw a total of four other players.

I kind of feel like Trion Worlds isn't working on anything and is asking us to pretty much repay them for all the stuff we had in the original and maybe we'll get a Defiance 3100 or some crap.. idk. Re-releasing an 'updated' version of the same game is bad business and reflects just what kind of gaming company this is.

It's just the original game with very minor changes to the gameplay and you're forced to re-buy content already presently purchased in the other game. It's a good game but they should of never re-released it as a sequel or overhaul. They should of overhauled the original.
