    Über das Spiel

Several months have passed since the return of the Order of Marcus from exile to the continent and their founding of the kingdom of New Tixus in this, the second official Expansion to the epic Fantasy Strategy game Elven Legacy.

Outcast elves under the leadership of the elven lord Saggitel, have once more acted provocatively and dared to cross in to the realm of man, but the human armies are ready and waiting. Inciting the wrath of brother Karel, the fearsome knight of the Holy Inquisition, along with the agent of New Tixus, the ranger Cornelius, Saggitel is now their target of retribution. How far can Saggitel run before they catch up to him?

Each of the heroes, whatever their individual cause, has a mighty army behind them. In the course of their adventures, each will have to stand in battle and withstand mighty sieges in their quest for survival and victory. The ancient impregnable fortresses of the dwarves, the enchanted cities of the elves, and the historic capital cities of Eolia, each will see their share of bloodshed, and each will become sites of conflicts which will go down in the annals of history.

    Key features:
    • 19 new campaign missions
    • The outcome of mission quests will directly impact subsequent missions
    • Two different armies and Three new heroes (Sir Karel, Inquisitor Morcius, Captain Adrian)
    • Bonus mission (becomes available after Gold ranked victories)

I admit this is my least favoutire expansion for EL, due to the characters not captiving my interest as much as the others. Anyway it's good, makes up for the main game's lack of good old scraps between heavily armored armies.

The second big DLC to Elven Legacy, and it's probably the hardest one. Oh boy, the earliest quests are simply insane, but the good news is as you go through the missions, it becomes much easier. Personally, I didn't find anything special in the missions, there's lots of siege, and I think that's all. No variety of creative quests, nor a cool hero. Even the bonus missions are bad, and one of them is buggy. Maybe the only cool thing is that it can give you more lore and story which is okay, and you can discover what happened with a previous character, but as I said before, nothing extra. Still cheap if you buy it in a package.

Having played both Elven Legacy the base game and Elven Legacy Ranger I can say without any hesitation that this one's a great game too. Unlike the base game, the difficulty level here has been fixed but it's still harder than the Elven Legacy Ranger especially near the end . If you can then try to save your leveled up troops as many as you can without them it's really going to be super hard later on. I just wished that they had the budget to narrate the story with some voice acting anyway nevertheless it offers solid gameplay and value for it's price. I got it on sale and I am happy that I made the right decision to buy this collection.

I highly recommend it and it's a must have for your collection if you love Role Playing and strategy games.

    Note:- It supports 1080p

    Rating: mediocre (5/10)

    Introduction
Elven Legacy: Siege is a story-driven strategy RPG where by leading a small army of human with heroes in turn-based combat you have to fulfill smaller missions to save the kingdom from the undead, exiled elves, heretics and some other dangers.

    Gameplay & Story: 5/10
Since you get thrown into combat from the very first mission of the campaign, you get to know that the gameplay consists purely of fighting on a small scaled map, upgrading and recruiting your troops between the missions and spending some time listening to dialogs or watching cut scenes. The gameplay does not differ at all from the main game Elven Legacy. The story is written slightly better than the main game, however is still as simple you are being the good guy chasing some bad guys.

    Combat & Challenge : 6/10
The combat does have some aspects of tactical troop management and each unit does have some upgrades, where you can specialise it in a certain way. The units including melee, ranged, air troops and heroes fulfill different roles and you have to be aware of their strengths and counters on higher difficulties. Hard was actually hard even to me since the mission had a time limit and at a certain point you had to charge heads on into the enemy troops, so the preset had to be perfect not to lose too many units.

    Graphic & Interface : 3/10
The design of this game is not only old, but also quite cheap looking to be honest. Only the heroes (especially your main one) has some fancy looking gear and the UI is your basic old looking tons of buttons one. The maps do not have many details either, the special spots containing artefacts are barely distinguishable and only later in the game the units receive some better looking equipment.

    Progress & Mini-Games : 5/10
The progress is determined by the difficulty you pick before starting a mission, since hard takes much longer to finish. There are no mini games so the only progress is finishing the current mission, determing the difficulty of the next, picking your troops and jumping into the next one.

    Audio & Immersion : 5/10
To be honest I cannot say much about the music, since I turned it off after the first mission and played with my own. The sounds used for the troops, fighting and voice overs are mediocre and get their job done. However, do not expect any serious immersion in this game since the combination of bad graphic, non-immersive audio and typical storyline will not really let you dive any deep into this game.

    Side-Notes
    • This game offers a single player campaign of about 8 hours.
    • This game contains no steam achievements and no trading cards.
    • This game offers minimal replayibility, since it is story heavy.

    Summary
Elven Legacy: Siege is an oldschool tactical turn-based RPG and strategy hybrid, that offers a story of elven warriors traveling through the world fighting humans, dwarves and orcs while chasing some anti-heroes. Some missions will offer a tactical challenge at higher difficulties, however neither the battles nor the story feel any strong in this game. The immersion just did not happen with the game of this quality, so I can only recommend it to fans of tactical turn-based combat and fans of oldschool strategic RPGs.
If you enjoyed the main game, you should also get the Siege addon, besides you can save your money.

I hope this review helps you making the decision if its worth buying and installing this game. Rate and leave a comment if you enjoyed reading it.

The campaign maps in siege are better than the ones in the main game and ranger expansion, but the diffuculty is not even comparable. You dont have any luxury of some units for valuable trades. Every map you are against powerful units and outnumbered in siege situations with rivers around castles and elite-defensive units guarding the quest markers. The maps are really nice, but the difficulty of this expansion is not enjoyable.

Last mission left and I am finnaly at the end of this DLC for Elven Legacy. It's easiest level are as hard as the base game's hardest level. Still have the same visual/music effect of the base game.

Quite a challange compare to the first dlc and the base game but it's still finishable with a lot more save/load required Some map needs to be replay to replan to execute effectively.

There are actually 2 story parallel to each other you to have to play though. IF you focus on one side of the story you will reach certain dead end that require to play the other storyline to unlock further missions.

Overall this is not a walk in the park and certainly better designed and excuted then the base game and first DLC.

7.5/10 and I recommend hardcore turn base strategy game fan to try this DLC as it's truly one to enjoy.

DLC to a game I dislike. But on the other hand, it is a good deal when you buy it in package. And on Sale. Still not my cup of coffee.
