Dieses Spiel ist ein wirklich ein würdiger Nachfolger.
Der erste Teil allein ist ein schön. Muss man das Spiel kritisieren dann lediglich das die Reise kurz ist.
Der Zweite Teil hingegen, hat eine wunderbare Länge. Mit ca 6-8 Spielstunden kann man rechnen.
Schwierig ist es nicht aber es ist einfach nur schön mit seinem Boot zu segeln.
Ich hoffe das es auch weitere Fortsetzungen geben wird.

I played FAR: Lone Sails roughly two years ago and it was one of those games who really left a lasting impression on me.
And Far: Changing Tides also achieved this. You can see and feel the love that went into this game, the Artstyle, the Ship that you manouver across the world, all the little details underwater, everything was very beautifull. I really enjoyed it. The ending took me offguard to be honest, I was kinda spechless. But yea, see for yourself.

Sehr schönes Game, wer den Vorgänger FAR: Lone Sails schon super fand, wird von FAR: Changing Tides nicht enttäuscht.

Und wieder eine Reise.......die einen sprachlos und zufrieden zurück lässt.
Herrlich....so dürfen Spiele auch im Jahr 2022 sein.
Ohne Action an jeder Ecke und Hauptsache immer volles Rohr......nein....auch in der Fortsetzung sind es wieder die leisen Töne und das Ambiente.....was einen auf den Planken des Spiels bis zum Schluss trägt.

Vorgänger ist ebenfalls eine absolute Empfehlung.
Kann mehrfach gespielt werden, wird nicht langweilig, wunderschöne Atmosphäre zum Abschalten

How fucking dare you hit me in the emotions like that? this is, handsdown, the single best sequel/sidequel ive ever had the utmost joy of laying my grubby little mitts on. Fucking phenomenal game, play FAR: Lone Sails first though.

Far: Lone Sails is one of my favourite games. Which is why it makes me so sad that the sequel doesn't hold up to the beauty of the first game. I recommend you wait until this goes on sail before you buy because it is still a nice game but not quite a worthy sequel to Far: Lone Sails and definitely not worth $20.

Unfortunately, it does not reach the high bar its predecessor set.

Don´t get me wrong, FAR: Changing Tides is not a bad game. I did not encounter any bugs, visually and auditory its very nice to look at and the mechanics/ managing your ship works decently. The Ending is very heartwarming too. But often it just feels so bland and artifically stretched out to meet a higher hour-count to finish.

Many times you find yourself travelling in desolate areas, constantly micro- adjusting your sails to travel at marginally faster
speeds than usual. Not even the OST playing for parts of this makes the world seem so empty.
You get bored incredible fast when moving at a snails pace and having the exact same mountain or ruin in the background for 5 minutes.

Talking about speed, your ship never really feels like it's moving fast(er), even when using all available sources. Sails need constant adjustments, oven constant refueling and re-starting, boost is nice to look at but didn´t seem like it makes any real difference to your travel speed.
In the first game, you were also quite busy handling things, but could always spare a few seconds to take in the beautiful world around you.
Now, you constantly get artifical speedbumps like low fuel, random overhangs to damage your sails while you are in the engine room etc.

The OST is nice, but somehow never felt as empowering as the one from FAR: Lone Sails.

TLDR: If you played the first game and want to dive deeper into the world i can recommend it. But don´t expect a better game than the first one was.
20 bucks is also way overpriced for what you get. Better wait for a sale.

Loved the original so picked this up as soon as it came out. It doesn't feel quite as good as the first but is still worth a play, imo. This one you can't really take a momement and appreciate the world around you because you're, mostly, just surrounded by water (which makes sense). The ship management feels a but more tedious in this one as well. While the original you could still observe the background while accomplishing your ship tasks somewhat efficiently this one it pretty much takes your entire concentration and my GOD are some of the ladders annoying. Still, wonderful art, sound effects and music score I'd recommend a play.

If you liked Far: Lone Sails you'll love Changing Tides. If you played and finished Lone Sails, Changing Tides is mandatory, let's just get that clear.

Super chill, mild puzzles. Surprises and results that make you smile. You already know what this game is about, just go play it.

FAR: Changing Tides is a beautiful world to look at, but it's a far cry from Lone Sails when it comes to gameplay.

Lone Sails is a world where you're in constant danger from both the environment and the puzzles you are frequently stopping to solve. Changing Tides lacks all of this, and instead places you in a very large and open (yet still completely linear) ocean. There are far fewer puzzles, and these are all very simple. Nothing can kill you. And everything is VERY far apart... the majority of the game is spent sailing forever, waiting for the next anything to do. The travel distances should be cut in half and it would be twice as enjoyable.

Pretty disappointing, given how much I enjoyed Lone Sails... and how well the game is being rated by others. The ending, though, is a truly great moment; so if you do play, stick it out through the end. Just be warned that you'll be bored throughout.

A very nice sequel to the original, if you enjoyed the first game you'll probably enjoy this too.
